Hours passed slowly to the intelligence boys. They were filing documents. Adam and Kim had to reorganize the folders in alphabetical order by passing them to Hayley who dictated the data to Jay who transcribed them to the computer. At some point her vision begins to blur and her eyes burned.

- Hey guys, I need a break - says Jay and everyone decides to take five minutes to relax.

Jay walks over to the machine and grabs a cup, feels dizzy and hopes that some coffee will cheer him up and give him enough energy to get on with the day.

When lunchtime comes, everyone orders what they like to eat, except Jay. His stomach goes wild, he's too nervous to eat. Actually he feels like throwing up, the coffee goes up and down in his stomach.

The boys decide to go and get lunch all together.

- Go ahead, I'll go to the bathroom for a moment and join you. Jay said and so did they all, or so the detective believed.

As soon as he got to the bathroom he started to vomit violently when he heard a noise of someone entering the toilet. He tried to stifle the gagging but this being difficult to do he kept emptying his stomach as quietly as possible.

As he left the bathroom he noticed that Hayley was waiting for him with her arms crossed at the bathroom door.

- So you hurry up? she told him.

- Why are you still here? Didn't you go with the others? I said I would join you. Jay replied annoyed.

- You've been weird since this morning. I wanted to talk to you privately. You don't look in top shape to me. she replied.

- I'm fine Hayley. I just slept badly tonight. said the detective.

- Still nightmares? -She said referring to her ptsd and Jay replied yes with a nod.

Hayley accepted the answer even though she wasn't entirely convinced and she decided she would keep an eye on him.

I gathered for lunch Jay pretended to eat with the others but he didn't really want to. He couldn't wait to get back to the office and make an effort not to think until it's time to leave.

Meanwhile, Will took advantage of his lunch break to stretch out for a while in a free room. His head throbbed and his stomach was upside down and he had a constant urge to cry. Will, as indeed his brother, did not like to show his weaknesses and his emotions and therefore kept them closed inside himself, until he could not take it anymore and he felt as if he were exploding. Once alone, in that room he lay down on the bed and started to cry. The tears flowed by themselves from his eyes and slowly he fell asleep.

An hour later he was awakened by his pager. They needed him in ed. Dazed and nauseated as he never forced himself to get up and join his patients.

Having got up too quickly when he got to the emergency room he felt dizzy and in order not to fall he leaned his back against the wall and closed his eyes for a few seconds.

He opened them again when he felt a hand rest on his forehead and saw Connor Rodhs in front of him trying to figure out if he had a fever.

- No, no fever. Will what's wrong? You are too pale, it looks like you are about to pass out. said Dr. Rodhs.

-I'm .. I'm fine Connor, quiet, just a bad cold-he lied.

Soon after there was a blue code in one of the rooms and Monique attracted the attention of the doctors present by distracting Rodhs from Halstead.

Hours passed between paperwork for Jay and patients for Will until finally the police department clock struck 4:15 pm and the detective could take his leave to pick up his brother from the ed.
