Blaine sighed a breath of relief when English classes finally came to an end. Seriously, if his teacher tried telling him about Shakespeare again, he swore, he would stab her in the eye. He was a demon, even though he wouldn't take over the throne one day, he would still be an important part of the demonic royal family.

So what did he need Shakespeare for? But since he was the one who came up with the idea to go to human school in the first place, he needed to bite his tongue and endure classes.

He was about to go to the vending machine to buy a pack of M&Ms (he would have loved to use his powers and just steal it, but Kurt had told him that nice people didn't steal, sigh) when he felt that someone grabbed him from behind and slammed him into the lockers next to the vending machine.

'Stay calm', Blaine thought and clenched his hands to fists. His old self would have burnt those people to death, but he promised to himself to be nice as long as he was in Lima to make his little experiment work. And as far as he knew, nice people didn't throw fireballs at people with aggression problems.

So he took a deep breath, calmly looking up – and looking into the eyes of a pissed-looking Asian boy that still held him by the collar and pressed him against the locker behind him.

"Do you have a problem?", Blaine asked him calmly because that's what nice people normally did before taking action.

The other boy cocked his head to the side. "Don't pretend you don't know who I am", he hissed in a hostile way.

"Come on, Mike", an Asian girl Blaine hadn't seen noticed until now, said impatiently. "He needs to pay. Break all of his bones, no inhibitions."

The boy, Mike, threw her a tormented glance. "But I normally don't pick a fight, Tina. Can't we just forget everything and go to that new Dance studio instead?"

Tina stomped her foot sullenly. "No! He needs to pay, after all, he's Lucifer's son."

When she said that sentence, Blaine perked up his ears. So the two of them didn't just randomly attack him, they needed to hate him because of his dad! On the other hand...why was he even surprised?

"Okay, who else here at McKinley holds a grudge against me because of my father?", he exclaimed resignedly.

Tina's eyes started turning into pitch black orbs, and her fangs came out. "Shut up, demon", she hissed belligerently.

Blaine, however, just cocked his head to the side when realization dawned on him. So Tina and Mike were not just any kind of monsters, they were –"You're vampires?"

Mike threw him an annoyed glance. "That's pretty obvious, isn't it? What kind of demon can't tell vampires apart from humans?"

"Listen", Blaine said softly, having a hard time fighting his inner instincts that told him to kill those two pathetic excuses of monsters to the spot "I'm not here because I want to fight, I just want to go to school here, without causing trouble, okay? I come in peace; I promise."

"I don't believe a word you are saying", Tina barked, making Blaine flinch a bit with her sharp tone. She nodded to Mike who looked as if he wanted to be somewhere else right now. "Mike, proceed with what you were doing."

The vampire in question sighed. "If you say so…" He lifted Blaine in the air with one hand with his superhuman strength, starting to strangle him and throwing him an apologetic glance.

Blaine really tried to be nice until now, even to those two vampires who were nothing but disrespectful to him. And as a demon prince, he couldn't tolerate such behavior. 'Sorry, Kurt', he thought when his eyes started turning red and he was about to lift his hands to end Mike's and Tina's lives before he would pass out due to the lack of oxygen in his system thanks to Mike strangling him.

"Leave him alone!", another voice suddenly called out.

Surprised, Mike dropped the demon who fell to the ground immediately and gasped for air, trying to catch his breath again.

Mike and Tina turned their heads, and so did Blaine when he had recovered from his feeling of faintness.

Sam and Puck, his saviors (or Tina's and Mike's saviors because Blaine had been close to killing them, so that's a matter of opinion) looked at the vampires in awe.

"Motherfucker!", Puck commented, flabbergasted, when he spotted Tina's fangs and eyes. "So vampires are a thing, too? Keeps on getting better and better!" He smirked goofily.

Sam quickly rushed over to Blaine and helped him up. "You okay, dude?", he asked worriedly.

Said boy just nodded slowly. "Yes, I guess…"

With a frown, the blond werewolf turned to the vampires and crossed his arms. "What was that for, Mike?", he asked reproachfully. "I thought you weren't even into violence."

"Tina forced me!", Mike whined, having lifted his hands in surrender. "Sometimes, she can be scary if she wants to."

Tina turned to Sam and Puck with a questioning glance, her eyes turned back to normal and her fangs retracted as well. "Since when are werewolves on a demon's side?", she asked with her hands on her hips. "Demons treat you dogs like scum as well."

"Demons treat every kind of monster like scum that's not demonic", Blaine pointed out dryly, and Tina threw him a killing glance at that.

"You never told me you are weres" Mike shook his head in disappointment. "And I thought we were friends."

"And why didn't you tell us you are a vamp?", Puck defended himself.

"Yeah, and besides, we didn't even know that all these supernatural beings existed until we got turned a couple of months ago", Sam added. "We still needed to come to terms with what we were. We didn't tell Finn even though he is our best buddy too."

Mike blinked at them. "So Finn doesn't know about the existence of monsters?"

"No, and if it doesn't stay like that, one of you will pay", a new, familiar voice spoke up, and the group turned their heads, spotting a certain zombie standing behind them now.

Kurt threw Blaine a questioning glance. "I hope you made it through the day without killing anybody, demon."

"I didn't even hurt a fly", Blaine confirmed, sounding as proud as someone who just won a marathon. He pointed at Mike and Tina, grimacing. "Those bloodsuckers didn't make it easy for me, though."

The vampires plus Puck threw them confusing glances, and Blaine sighed. "I promised Kurt to be nicer as long as I am here in Lima.", he explained shortly and rubbed his neck, ashamed. "Unbelievable, I never would have thought I would follow the orders of someone undead one day."

"Dude, you're a zombie?" Pucks eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he looked over to Kurt. "Are you, like, one of those cannibalistic ones, or…?"

"I don't eat brains, Puckerman", Kurt cut him off, rolling his eyes. He turned to Blaine. "Let's go home now, I want to sew new clothes.", he ordered and grabbed Blaine's elbow to drag him towards the exit.

Sam waved at him shortly to say goodbye, and Mike sheepishly stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Sorry I tried to kill you, man", he shouted after him. "I have nothing against you, actually."

Blaine smiled faintly. "It's okay. Actually, I would have killed you first before you could even get me to pass out. I'm not a demon without a reason, right?"

While Puck's and Sam's eyes lit up more and more with each word he said, Mike just stared at him, stunned, and Tina glared daggers at him. Yup, that girl was surely no big fan of him, but nevermind. He would win her over with his niceness one day, of that he was sure.

"Come on, Blaine", Kurt hissed, slowly getting annoyed. "If I don't hold the latest Vogue magazine in my hands soon, you will regret it."

"Okay, okay", Blaine gave in and let himself drag out of the school building of McKinley. Cause boy, one confrontation was definitely enough for today.

Time passed, and Blaine started to get used to his life in Lima. He started getting used not to use his powers to hurt people whenever he got pissed. He started to get used to the fact that he was no longer the demon prince Blaine Devon Anderson, he was just Blaine, that boy that occasionally got slushied and let it happen without flipping out. He was starting to get used to that people didn't flinch whenever he entered the room, just like people did at home.

No, he was just a normal seventeen-year old like everyone else. And he found it great. That time out was just what he needed.

He sighed contentedly when he took another sip of his orange juice during breakfast. He felt at ease with himself and the world, and he loved it.

"Why are you so happy, sweetie?", Carole asked him, interested, when she refilled his orange glass.

"I'm just happy to be here", Blaine answered truthfully and took a big sip of his juice. At home, he had never felt this homey, probably because his parents were busy spreading evilness around the world and Cooper was busy banging every woman that crossed his way. At home, nobody ever asked about him, never. That Kurt's family seemed to care about how he was was a nice change. And warmed up something in his flinty heart.

Burt patted his shoulder amicably. "We are happy you are here as well, bud. How come I didn't know about you earlier? You are a good boy."

Kurt almost choked on his apple and needed to cough, and Finn patted his back. "Dude, do I need to give you the Heimlich?"

"Don't even think about it", Kurt ordered sternly and raised his index finger warningly. "I'm fine, no need for that." He wouldn't have died anyway, even if he had choked on the food, but they didn't have to know.

Carole checked her watch. "Boys, if you don't leave now, you are going to be late for classes", she commented.

When Finn just groaned something unintelligible while he shoved more cereal into his mouth, Kurt threw him a killing glance.

"How often do I have to tell you, Finn: Chew and swallow your food first before you talk." He shook his head, annoyed by his stepbrother's bad table manners.

Carole nodded in agreement. "He is right, sweetie. You will never find a girlfriend if you don't know how to behave." And yes, Quinn and Finn had broken up. Again. His host mother nudged Burt who was busy reading the sports section of the newspaper. "Right, honey?"

"Listen to your mother, Finn", he answered absentmindedly.

Kurt frowned at his father. "You don't even know what we are talking about, dad!", he whined.

"Hhmmh", Finn just commented with a full mouth, and Kurt facepalmed when he got up; Blaine didn't miss that he hadn't even touched his food.

And while he watched the family's interaction, he couldn't help but feel like he missed out on something. He and his own family members had never been that close to each other, but they obviously were even though they were not even blood related.

Blaine wondered whether he would have been a different, and better person if he grew up in a caring, loving, and welcoming household like this one. And once again came to the conclusion that it probably would have been the case.

Sometimes, being the son of Lucifer sucked.

At the parking of McKinley, the boys parted ways since Finn had Geography, and the other two boys had Math.

"See you at Lunch Break!", Finn said before he went over to his bros Puck, Sam, and Mike.

Blaine just nodded at the trio shortly while the two werewolves and the vampire smiled at them friendly. "I wonder when exactly Finn will find about them being monsters", he muttered.

Kurt halted in his tracks and grabbed his elbow. "We already had that topic, demon: He won't because we are going to make sure of it."

He was surprised when Blaine started laughing. "Just look around, Kurt: We are surrounded by monsters. Let's see, we have a siren, a nymph, an amazon, a witch, two vampires, my succubus-sister, and two werewolves. And let's not forget his demon-hostbrother and his zombie-stepbrother." He threw Kurt another amused glance. "Keeping that secret is going to be hard."

At that, Kurt just crossed his arms and glared daggers at him.

Suddenly, they heard the tires of a car squeal, and the two boys turned around. The car halted right next to them, and its driver got out, a handsome, brown-haired young man with emerald green eyes and a wide grin.

Blaine started scowling when he spotted the boy in question, and Kurt confusedly looked back and forth between them.

"Hey, sexy", the boy purred and put off his sunglasses.

Blaine didn't look that happy about his presence. "Hello, Sebastian." He crossed his arms. "What are you doing here? And how the hell did you even find me?"
