Chapter 6: Unkillable

Izuku's POV

"W-What are you going to do t-to me…?" I asked the evil doctor. He just chuckled at me and said,

"Don't worry Midoriya, you always wanted a quirk right?" I shakily nodded. The doctor grinned before petting me and saying,

"Those boys just love to bully you don't they? Just because you're quirkless right? Well don't worry, I'll give you a quirk. That oughta stop them right?" My eyes widened at the news. A quirk?

"Y-You can give quirks?" I asked. The doctor nodded.

"But it will be very painful, do you think you can withstand it?" I looked down in thought.

'A quirk? B-But I'm j-just a useless Deku…why would he-?' A hand patted me on the head and I looked up at the doctor.

"You're not useless Midoriya, you are far from it. You want to be a hero right?" I nodded.

"In the world we live in, becoming a hero without a quirk is nearly impossible, it might be even considered suicide. It's too dangerous for quirkless people like you to become a hero, especially in the front lines. But fret not boy, soon I will give you a quirk." I just nodded. He was right, becoming a hero without a quirk is too dangerous. I looked at him in the eye and nodded.

"I-I'll do it." The doctor grinned and said,

"Good boy." He picked me up and laid me down on the table and strapped me in.

"The operation will be very painful but whatever you do, do NOT go to sleep okay?" He asked and I nodded.

"I-I'll do my be-best." I said with confidence as the doctor nodded and walked off. There's no turning back now, I won't be a Deku anymore, I'll finally be a hero like All Might.

'Kaachan, I won't be a sidekick no more.' The doctor walked back with a syringe with a thick needle on it filled with a strange liquid.

"Here it is Izuku, your quirk. All I have to do is inject it into your medulla which is responsible for survival, drive, and instinct. That way, the quirk will activate without you thinking for your safety. Turn your head to the right please." I did as he told before injecting me with that thick needle. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists in pain. Soon enough, I somewhat feel something liquidy filling like the back of my neck. It's uncomfortable and painful but I have to withstand it. After a few minutes, he slowly pulled out the needle and placed a gauge on my neck. I panted after all of that before my vision starts blurring. Then,

*SLAP* My head swiveled to the left and my cheek is stinging.

"I'm sorry for that Izuku but you were starting to go to sleep. Remember what I said, don't fall asleep or the quirk won't work its way to your body." I just nodded before taking deep breaths and started thinking of things that would keep me awake. All of a sudden, I felt a painful sting along my neck.

"Ah!"

"Izuku? What happened?" I heard the doctor rushing towards me.

"I-I-I felt a sting somewhere on my ne- AH!" I felt it again and this time it's much more painful.

"This is the painful part of the operation Midoriya, but don't worry, only a few hours and the quirk will be permanently fused with your DNA and then, it's yours. Stay strong okay?" He asked of me. The pain is starting to spread from my neck to all over my body. I just nodded and tried to block the pain out by thinking of the analysis I did over the years.

'God I hope the hours pass by quick.'

Dr. Garaki's POV

I grinned at the screaming boy behind the soundproof glass, enjoying the sight of his pain because that means the quirk is actually working.

"Soon Young Izuku, the power that you will have now will soon be used for a greater purpose. Soon my boy, you will be…unkillable."

"*chuckle* I can't wait to take it from him." I nodded in agreement.

"The world will soon know your might All For One. In a matter of hours, despite your condition, you will be able to unleash your power without repercussions."

"What's the drawback doctor?"

"We'll just have to wait and see shall we?" I replied. Like master, I myself can't wait for the outcome. After 3 hours, his heart rate has stopped spiking meaning he's either back to normal or he screamed till he's unconscious. I went back to check on him and I see his eyes nearly closing before he looked in my direction.

"Did it stop?" I asked him. He just nodded, he tried to speak but couldn't. I undid his straps and helped him back up before offering him a glass of water. The boy downed it immediately and asked,

"W-What's my quirk?" I just smiled and said,

"Well, the quirk I gave you basically makes dying much, much harder to happen." His eyes temporarily shone before he yawned and said,

"I'm sleepy." I petted his wild hair before telling him he could just sleep on the table for now. He did just that and as his eyes closed, he fell asleep. Quietly, I walked away and got a syringe filled with liquid that will render him unconscious, long enough for master to take the quirk. I injected the boy on the neck and he didn't even flinch.

'Guess all that screaming took a toll.' I grinned before setting the syringe down somewhere before the alarm sounded off.

"WARNING! WARNING! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!" The room became red as the lights switched to said color and sirens are sounding off in the room. I picked up the child and before I knew it, the ceiling above me exploded and something dropped in front of me, making me scream in fright. Amidst the dust and slight darkness, I saw red eyes peering at me and the boy. As the figure stood up, I started backing away, nearly tripping.

"W-W-Who are you?!" I asked in terror. The sheer intimidation this man or thing is emanating is unbelievably powerful, and it hasn't even got out of the smoke!

"Something you should be very afraid of."
