The next few days progressed rather well and almost uneventfully for Justice and his new familia...almost that is.
The evening after introducing chakra to the first and second teams of the Loki familia was filled with the sounds of many adventurers hitting the ground of the twilight manors training area. Shortly after sitting down for dinner that night many of his new students quickly inhaled their food before quickly returning to begin their training. Unbeknownst to them Justice had taken Riveria to an outside balcony to watch what followed.
After close to an hour of watching everything took effect. Those that had quite literally dined and dashed we on the ground puking their guts out along with their barely digested food. It was a small tidbit that Justice had forgotten to mention to his new pupils. 'Excessively exercising and blowing energy after everything we did today would make even the most cast ironed stomach hurl.' He had evilly thought to himself.
That night Justice, Finn, and Riveria had to give everybody a lecture on the dangers of over exhaustion. After everyone had been sent to their rooms to rest for the day Justice had decided to speak with Loki and Finn about space in the library for his scrolls, books, and other materials. Both agreed that it would be beneficial to have those on hand as it would be unlikely he would always be at the manor to offer help. It was decided they would have it worked on and hopefully finished within two days time. After bidding his new goddess and captain good night justice retired to his and Rivera's room for the night.
The next day Justice had breakfast with his familia as they had the day before exchange plans for the day. Loki had no real plans for herself so she settled with accompanying Gareth who was going to take a couple of the lower leveled members on a supply run for potions from the Dian Cecht familia and to pick up some orders of weapons from a couple Hephaestus familia smiths. Riveria as much as she wanted to spend time with her fiancé had to help Finn manage and balance their familias current finances. Ais, Tione, Tiona, and Lefiya were all charged with finding a place outside of the city for their familia to practice what Justice would be eventually teaching them. This had bummed several of the girls out as the had wished to practice the basics which Justice was quick to correct by reminding them they could practice tree walking as they were searching. Justice informed his familia he would be going to Hearth Mansion for the morning to help Bell.
After breakfast Justice had found Rauls group and began asking what they had planned. All of them had the day off that day so they each stated they were going to the training area to practice his teachings and asked if he would be supervising them. Justice politely declined and informed them of where he would be if there were any questions or complications.
Justice left Twilight Manor shortly after and walked on to his nephews familia home. Arriving at the front gate a few minutes before ten o'clock he repeated the process he had the day before to announce his presence. Once again it was Haruhime that had answered the door. She allowed him inside to where the other members of the Hestia familia were gathered and thus here he is now.
"Good morning everyone I hope you're all well." He greeted politely which earned him a few small smiles.
"Good morning uncle." Bell replied happily. He was more than excited to begin training with his newly reunited family.
"Good morning Bell, so I didn't get properly introduced to all of you last time. I thought now would be an excellent time to change that so I'll go first. My full name is Justice Cranel Senju I am a level seven and an expert in magic and different types of it. Though that doesn't mean I'm a slouch when it comes to using my hands or a blade." Justice started out.
Haruhime went next "My name is Sanjouno Haruhime, I am a level one and one of our familias suporters."
She was followed by Mikoto "My name is Yamato Makoto, I am a former member of the Takemikazuchi Familia, a level two, and I am mostly proficient in using my katana."
Welf went next "My name is Welf Crozzo, I'm a former member of the Hephaestus familia and a level two blacksmith for our familia." He pointed to Lili "Your up little Lil."
The small pallum stomped her foot angrily "Stop calling me that! Ugh my name is Liliruca Arde and is a level two supporter. Lili also takes care of managing our finances."
"Okay well I honestly have no idea what I'm working with here and since your all still mostly fresh there's plenty I could share. First do you have a practice area?" Justice asked
"Yes we have an area out back we can practice in." Bell stated.
"Good grab your gear and meet me out there. Before I can give you all some ideas on what you could learn I need to find out what your skills are." He stated causing the members of the Hestia familia to stand and presumably gather their equipment.
Hestia herself was silent the entire time leading Justice to the training area. It was an open large rectangular area that stood out from the rest of the yard as it was made up of dirt rather than grass.
After waiting for a few minutes the members of the Hestia familia were in the training area ready. Justice took note only Mikoto and Bell wore armor. Welf had a large sword over his shoulder while wearing his usual outfit. Lili had only added a ballista to her wrist. Haruhime had switched from her maid outfit to a red far eastern kimono.
"What are going to do Justice-dono?" Mikoto asked the veteran adventurer.
"That's quite easy." Justice stated as he summoned his black katana and used it to draw a circle around himself. "Your job is simple force me out of this circle." He stated happily to the confusion of the Hestia familia.
"Um is that too easy mas- uh Justice." The young renard girl asked causing him to laugh a little.
"Well that's the point I need to see your skill levels and beating all of you to a pulp certainly won't let me do that." He grew very serious scaring the young woman. "Your to come at me with the intention of killing me. Nothing is off limits skills or magic may be used freely."
The members of the Hestia familia hesitantly nodded in return. "Good now, begin!".
As soon as he said that a several bolts were shot his way. He easily swung his katana causing the wind from his swing to throw bolts away. His senses told him to block to his left which he did readily trusting his instincts that had been honed through countless battles. As he blocked his left side he saw Bell grinding his daggers against his sword. Justice quickly threw his nephew away from him only to block again this time to his right where Mikoto had tried to stab at him. Once again he easily threw his attacker away in one stroke. He looked forward to see Welf nearing him and more bolts coming fast. Justice held up his hand sent a burst of wind chakra outwards knocking the bolts away and throwing Welf with them.
With the immediate assault finished Justice looked around to survey their reactions. He found everyone ready to go once again. He look to the rear of the group to see Haruhime with a square magic circle appearing underneath her. Suddenly as she finished her chant a yellow light appeared appeared around Bell.
'Interesting, seems she has the ability to increase the level of individuals.' Justice thought to himself as his nephew shot off towards him. Bell was fast but the speed of a level five was nothing new to his uncle. Once again Justice fended off attack after attack with ease. Then he heard it the sound of a bell ringing and the surge of magic rising. He looked behind him to see Bell with white particles gathering around his hand. He was about to stop him when suddenly a purple magic circle appeared underneath him and a great weight came crashing down forcing him to remain in place. Bell charged his skill before releasing his charged magic "Firebolt!!"
He shouted sending a large blast of pure white magic straight at his uncle.
There was a large explosion of white, red, and black magic energy followed by a large cloud of dust.
As the dust cleared the Heatia Familia were shocked to see Justice standing outside his circle with black and red energy sparking around him.
"Not bad everyone if I hadn't used my demon spirit right then I would have been in trouble." Justice stated while dusting himself off.
The Hestia familia fell to their knees out of breath from their relentless assaults. Lili was the one to speak up after regaining her breath "Lili thinks master justice is a monster."
"Seconded." Welf stated while raising his hand.
"Well I'm impressed. Haruhime that magic was an incredible surprise however it leaves you incredibly open. If I had been able to move or bothered to use my magic you would be killed." Justice told the renard girl who hung her head. "Now, now don't go getting down. You simply need a little variation. Chakra would be useful but I have a few ideas that could also help you." He stated making her give a small smile.
"Next Mikoto, I assume that gravity magic was yours?" He asked as he had sensed her nearby when the magic circle appeared.
"Yes that was my magic." She stated smiling slightly.
"You did well, however you could do to expand your horizons with a sword style that expands your reach. For that I can give you some pointers on a breathing style." He stated
"Lili and Welf you need the most improvement. While wielding a sword as big as yours Welf affords a great amount of power behind your strikes it leaves you vulnerable. I would recommend some armor to compensate for that. Lili using a ballista to supportive frontal attackers is a good strategy. However you need to think about using something to throw off your opponent's such as specialized bolts." Justice continued making the pallum and smith nod and began thinking deeply.
Justice finally turned to Bell "Bell you were good your strength and speed were impressive as was that last attack. However you were lacking in strategy. We will be working on that in addition to contacting your soul weapon and accessing your demonic abilities."
"Right!" Bell stated cheerily.
Justice spent the remainder of the day helping the Hestia familia practice the basics of what they already knew as well as aiding them in the creation of new strategies they could use within the dungeon.
The next two days were uneventful for the veteran adventurer as he alternated between training his familia and his nephews familia. The library expansion was completed on the fourth day of justice's one week deadline. After unsealing and organizing all of his materials within the library Justice noticed on the fifth day certain items were being taken and replaced several times.
The sixth day Justice had decided to remain at the manner to teach those that had the day off. Incidentally this was what led him to discover the diligence of some of his newest pupils.
He was watching from the balcony overlooking the training area as he saw Line not only successfully walk the entire way up a tree and down but also begin the basics of the water walking exercise while using the fountain.
He also noticed several others practicing the basics of more advanced training. He saw Alicia practice using wind chakra a surprise to him as he hadn't seen her begin the water walking exercise. Regardless he was amazed to see her practicing so diligently to cut a leaf using chakra alone. He understood later as he observed her helping Line. It seemed the golden haired elf had near perfect chakra control.
The biggest surprise was Raul. Justice was aware that he had issues with self esteem however it seemed he had really taken to shadow manipulation. He was able to manipulate his shadow into moving and even touching a fallen branch.
He idly thought to himself that if they continued doing so well he would have to think up a challenge to make them really challenge themselves.
The final day before his one week deadline justice had decided to take a simple walk around Orario. Bells familia had gone into the dungeon and everyone from the Loki Familia were busy. He took a light walk around the city taking in the sights and sounds. He idly thought to himself that the city had grown larger since he was here last.
Justice went home that night and turned in early. He was going to need his energy for the day to come.
Not a very exciting chapter but I felt it would help. Fill the gap between justice introducing chakra and the next training session.
