Two months had passed since the birth of Misaki and IchiroSachi. Rin was able to sneak out of bed to wash with her husband sound asleep with their pups laying on his chest. Somehow in the last week or so they started hopping out of their basket in the middle of the night. Sesshomaru and Rin would be woken up by soft paws climbing over there body's as they Nestled themselves in bed with them. It was so cute neither had the heart to put them back in the bassinet. It's not like they didn't have the room to spare in their over sized bed anyway
As she dressed Rin was so happy that her old kimono fit her again at last. Taking in her reflection she smiled. So blissful to not only feel like herself but look like her old self again.
She was careful entering the bed chamber as not to make a sound to wake the pups. However upon glancing at the bed it seemed she was a little late for that worry. Misaki was laying on top of Sesshomaru's head sideways nipping at the top of her fathers ears and IchiroSachi was softly head butting Sesshomaru's chin. "Misaki..Sachi will you kindly stop attacking your father so early in the day. Haven't you herd it's best to let a old dog lie."
Rin let out a giggle when one of Sesshomaru's eyes opened and locked in on her.
"I'll have you know this old dog can still defend himself"
Sesshomaru reached for his nipping daughter on top of his head. Grabbing her by the scruff of her neck and placing her softly on the bed. Sachi catching his sister lower then him hopped from his fathers chest taking his sister down with a soft tumble. With the pups playfully attacking each other they payed no mind to Sesshomaru getting out of bed to pull his wife into a loving embrace. hugging her back against his bare chest he held her tight to him taking in her sweet scent. He wished he could stay like this all day.
"My lord I hope you intend to change your hakamas before your meeting. You are covered in fur." Rin raised an eye at her husband
"You are starting to sound like Mother. Always concerned for my clothes." Sesshomaru kissed the top of her head knowing she was right. He pulled away from the warmth of his wife to pull something fresh from the wardrobe.
"At the current moment I think she's more concerned with having the pups room finished. I'm going to be joining her after breakfast to finalize the last details. . Do you really need your swords at your hip to meet with the southern councilman?" Rin watched her husband dress skeptical of his need for Armer and weaponry for a diplomatic meeting.
" it's not just councilman but army generals from the east and north as well. There is no need for you to worry, I don't expect I'll need them." Sesshomaru reassured his mate tracing his knuckles down her cheek as he kissed her goodbye "I'll rejoin you at dinner my Rin. Try not to let mother get to out of hand if it's with in your power."
Rin rolled her eyes at her husband's last statement as he walked from the room. There was not a force on earth that could deter Inukimi when it came To decorating and renovations. Especially when her grandpups were concerned. even once the room across from theirs was complete. Rin was highly doubtful the pups would be content with out her and Sesshomaru sleeping In the same room as them. But if she wanted alone time with her mate anytime soon it was worth seeing it done.
"Misaki, Sachi who wants to go see Grammy Kimi?" Rin called to her pups who with Great excitement started yapping away as they hopped from the bed and started running around her feet. "stay close now" Rin sang spoke to her little ones opening the door for them to fallow her to The dining hall.

Rin had no sooner sat herself at the great table when a plate of fresh cut melon was placed before her and two large saucers of warm milk placed on the floor for the pups. They must have gotten word she was on her way down to the hall.
"Good day to you Rin" A cheerful voice brought with it the warm smile of Kagome who only stopped her path to her seat to kneel down and pet the heads of the pups" Good morning babies. Wow Rin how fast they grow. I swear they doubled in size since last week."
"I know. I fear soon they may be to big for me to carry. Inuyasha isn't with you?"
" hmm oh, Sesshomaru summoned him a few moments ago. Jaken nearly broke down the door trying to get him to move his ass."
"That's odd. Why did he call for him? Lord Sesshomaru only left for the conference a little while ago. Normally When the foreign leaders get together It takes all day for them to come to any type of conclusion." Rin picked at her fruit puzzled. Many times had she suggested to her lord that maybe Inuyasha could lend a powerful hand to the palace but every time he refused. Telling her he refused to have his 'unrefined' Half brother representing any type of position of the Western lands.
"I'm as clueless as you are. Jaken didn't offer any thing useful Which is most unlike him not letting information past his loose green lips" kagome smirked as a plate was placed before her. "Non the less it's nice those two spend time together whatever the circumstance"
"They have been getting along a lot better lately" Rin agreed

"You heartless bastard. You can't honestly be considering this" Inuyasha yelled at Sesshomaru from across the room after it had cleared out leaving just him and his older brother.
" As Lord of the Western lands I have no choice, and as the sons of the great dog demon It is our burden to bear little brother. Come now Inuyasha you have never strayed away from a battle before". sesshomaru spoke calmly still seated at the head of the conference table. Watching Inuyasha walk back and forth with his hand on his sword. "we have no idea how long this will take.. You honestly expect me to leave kagome in her condition to wait around in a demon graveyard? You may be comfortable leaving Rin and your puppies for an uncertain amount of time but I'm not."
" with our combined strength We will be able to demolish this parasite long before your mate gives birth. You and I are the only ones able to gain entry to the underworld. And if there really is some lowlife necromancer resurrecting the greatest fallen demon warriors to make his army, how long do you think it will be Inuyasha before father's rest is disturbed?"
"Hmmpft….. Then we set a trap. Make it come to us there. If we draw it out we can just get this over and done with." Inuyasha huffed knowing sesshomaru was right.
"How many times are you going to insist on desecrating fathers tomb ?" sesshomaru snipped at Inuyasha clearly losing his patients.
"Look you said it yourself. It's going after the greatest demon warriors. Fathers is probably on the top of that list. So if your so dead set on doing this, stop dragging your ass before it gets there before we do…. Oh and you're the one braking the news to the girls"

The sun held high over the enchanted courtyard as Misaki and Sachi ran among the flowers. The two pups loved to roll around in the grass when ever given the opportunity. Rin made a point to bring them out here every day to try to quell their abundance of energy. It was so cute watching them play with eachother. given the chance to catch Sachi off guard, Misaki would lower her body behind a patch of flowers. Taking down her brother with a take down pounce once he got close enough to where she hid. Poor pup fell for it every time.
The little play yips and growls only made kagome and Rin giggle at their adorable antics from their shaded place under the willow tree.
Both pups stopped their play sniffing the air and abruptly taking off in a run to the edge of the courtyard. Rin turned to see where they were running off to only to see the stern demeanor of her husband melt as the pups jumped around his feet.
Sesshomaru bent down taking Misaki in to his arms before continuing his path to his wife. Sachi's attention went to attacking his uncle Inuyasha's feet as he walked along side his father.
" geez Sesshomaru can you call the ankle biter off already?"
Sesshomaru payed his brother no mind. His entire being was focused on the overwhelming glow of his beautiful mate. The warmth of her smile took him over completely.As she stood to her feet to greet him. "Lord Sesshomaru. It's so nice you are able to join us in the garden my lord. I feared your meeting might keep you away all day."
Looking down at the now sleeping pup in his arms he placed the sleeping bundle of fur at the base of the willow tree beside her aunt kagome.
"A day in it self would have been preferable. Inuyasha and myself have been tasked with taking care of some lowlife vermin that has been plaguing the demon burial ground. It is uncertain how long it will take to complete." Sesshomaru spoke dryly never braking his glance from Rin.
"Surely this mission would be an easy task for you My lord. I have faith you won't be away long. . Sachi leave your sister be."
Kagome picked Sachi up in to her lap to keep him from nipping at his sisters tail.
"Doesn't seem like something requiring to much effort. When do we leave?" Kagome looked at her husband as she rubbed the belly of the little fur ball making sweet yips on her legs.
" WE as Me and Sesshomaru and I are leaving now . You are in no condition to be fighting demons right now no matter how low on the scale." Inuyasha snipped at his wife
"What do you mean in my condition. I can still shoot a bow. I'm going. you will need me and you know it." Kagome snapped back placing Sachi in the grass and standing nose to nose with her husband.
" dammit kagome can you just do as I ask for once. Sesshomaru and I got this handled, there is no sense putting yourself or our baby in danger if it can be prevented. So just stay here where I know your safe." Inuyasha yelled back angrily.
"Sister I would be more comfortable knowing you were here protecting Rin and the pups in my absence. Sadly time is a factor we really must be going." Sesshomaru spoke calmly enough it seemed to calm kagome who nodded In understanding.
"Return safe. And try to be good to each other ok" kagome spoke to both the boys
"How will you even get to the demon burial ground isn't the Meidō Zangetsuha a little dangerous" kagome questioned Inuyasha who was trying hard not to trip from his nephews continuous nipping at his feet.
Sesshomaru taking pity on his brother kneeled down to take Sachi in his arms. The little pups attention instantly going to his fathers hair. Sachi started to bat and nip at the locks of silver hair with in his reach. Sesshomaru was used to his playfully pups attacking his hair at this point he didn't even notice as he replied to Kagome's inquiry.
"By traveling to Hinokoku. there is a guarded gateway hidden among the Realm of fire. Iv used it once before. It's the most direct path I know. With any luck we should be back with in a fortnight. Rin speak with the cook about moving pups to meat on the bone. Seems there back fangs have come in. It may calm down their Nawing "
Sesshomaru placed their son in to Rin's arms. bushing a soft kiss on her lips before turning on his heals and taking his leave from the garden calling over his shoulders "move your ass Inuyasha"
"yah yah I'm coming." Inuyasha looked at kagome but no words he could think of sounded right. He reached out and placed a hand on her baby bump memorized."I'll be back soon as I can." Not sure if he meant the words for her or the baby
"Inuyasha!!" Came Sesshomaru's loud snarl from across the courtyard.
Snapping Him to attention. Inuyasha stomped after his older brother yelling at the wind
" I herd you the first time you winded blow hard. Keep your fur on, I'm coming."
