So this is another one, it would be wonderful if any of you can review, favorite, or follow the story, just so I know it doesn't suck completely at least. I shout out to one guest sam who always does the courtesy of PMing me.

Julia groaned as the rays of sunshine fell on her face again, Ugh,

" Good morning, sleeping beauty." her sister's voice called. She just groaned and turned, somewhere in the back of her mind noticing that Elean did look chirpier today. Seems as if wherever she had done yesterday had worked for her.

" Here is the coffee. Aunt Jenna had work early today so she has already left and you have only twenty minutes till school starts so better hurry up.

"What? " I asked now wide awake, already scrambling out of my bed," Did Justin left?" I asked freaking out.

" Umm I lied to you, you have an hour to get ready. And what do you mean Justin left, is he supposed to come here." her voice went into that teasing mode completely ignoring the glare that I had bestowed on her.

Elena looked beautiful as always with her green top, black jeans, and jacket all of which she had paired up with simple black boots. Despite how great she looked in the outfit, I knew that she had really not put any effort into it, and in order for Julia to look the same she would have to devote two hours in the morning for just trying to look like that, Elena was one of these people who could wear a paper bag and still look better than everyone else. And again Julia found the bitter coil of jealousy in her stomach as she compared her reflection to that of Elena's, Justin had told her that he would himself pick her up for school, what if he saw both the fraternal twins together and realize that he would much rather go for Elena just like everyone else She shook the thoughts out of her head as Elena tossed her the clothes she had selected yesterday for today's look and looked at her expectantly.

" Oh, he said he would pick me up today," I said trying and failing to sound casual.

" Hmmm" Elena hummed, her lips falling into a smirk. I glared at her, trying to ignore the blush on my cheek. But her smirk widened. I was a bit confused over why she even had decided to stay to talk with me in the morning since the previous time, I had not been very nice, and since everyone knew that I don't apologize so Elena would usually stay out of my way for some time and after that started again as if nothing happened. Before I realized that my simple question in the car had meant more to her than it ever did to me.

" Speaking of which," I asked desperate to change the topic," Why are you being so chirpy today, yesterday you were well in a bad mood."

" My problem got solved," she said as a wide grin stretched across her face, my favorite infectious smile, making me raise an eyebrow. Okay, I have not seen her this happy in a long time. She was practically beaming.

" We will talk about this later, Okay," I said as I dashed into the shower and I heard her infectious laugh again my favorite laugh, and a smile came over my face. This house could use some laughter. It has been too long. I think it is time to finally move on.

After getting ready I made my way downstairs to see Elena looking at me in a guilty way as she informed me that we both have promised to pick up Bonnie today and that she may not be very happy of her being ditched by me again, I sent an apology text to her claiming that my boyfriend had decided to surprise me today and I will make it up to her later.

Stefan POV

Stefan leaned on his car as he concentrated on all the voices around him, he never thought he would ever go to High School without Lexi as she would have killed him slowly while laughing, he looked around and saw three boys playing Rugby and blocked out the pleasant and wistful memories it brought back of the time when he and Damon were close when his brother still had humanity in him before Katherine ruined it all and turned both of them into vampires, although she did him a favor for had he not been immortal, he would probably have been buried six feet under and never get a chance to meet Elena. He stopped looking as he heard the wheel of a car pullover and two people stepped out a guy that he did not know and Elena's twin sister Julia. He was aware of the girl's interest in him but he knew that those feelings would never be reciprocated for one he was already falling for her sister who made him glad that he was alive, and she just had too many issues. It was not that she was a bad person she had a good heart but many negative feelings had made her the way she is. His thoughts were put at a stop when he heard Elena's voice saying,

" You don't want me to go out with him anymore," She sounded confused and disheartened as she stepped out of the car, although her voice was neutral.

Bonnie Bennett, the witch and also Elena's friend was quick to respond, "I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying… take it slow."

Stefan frowned as he realized that she must have probably felt something wrong when they had accidentally touched although she may not have understood what it meant as she seemed to take her witch status as a joke and seemed to be unaware of her own importance.

"You told me to go for it," Elena told her, her voice coming out as a whine as she just looked more confused than ever.

"Now I'm saying take it slow," Bonnie advised. At other times he would have given Elena the privacy of her conversation as he should but keeping an ear out was crucial to keeping his secret what it was a secret.

"Why the about-face?" Elena questioned

Bonnie winced, "It's not an about-face." When it was obvious that Elena was finding the conversation stranger every minute as he himself could see from a distance, Bonnie decided to change tactics.

"You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field."

I couldn't help but laugh because from what I had observed this was so not Elena and it seemed that I had been correct in the assessment as Elena scoffed, "Because I am so that girl!"

Stefan however had to admire how loyal and compassionate Bonnie was, even after not understanding what was happening to her she still was looking out for her friend.

"What aren't you saying, Bonnie?" Elena asked kindly, as she searched for an answer from her friend about the change of heart. So she was perceptive as well, was there anything she was not good at, I thought, I really don't deserve her. Bonnie ignored the question as she walked faster, Elena grabbed her before she could go any further,

" Bonnie'

"What?"

"Spit it out."

Bonnie bit her lip and finally relented, "I accidentally touched Stefan. And I got a really bad feeling."

So he was correct there was no one to guide her about what was happening to her if his truth leaked out then he would try to help her out he knew a few witches after all.

" Is that it," Elena asked

"Bonnie" Elena again grabbed her hand as she was about to walk away, only to get interrupted.

"It was bad bad," she said earnestly,

"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Elena asked carefully…

Bonnie plastered a smile on her face, looking annoyed and uncomfortable "You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing my concern about my best friend's new boyfriend."

It was obvious that she was avoiding the issue. But we wouldn't get anything else from her now. So we let it go.

"And I love you for it," Elena told her, with one of her beautiful smiles ."I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year and I'm finally starting to feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what? Stefan is a big part of that."

Stefan smiled at that liking the feeling that he had helped her in some way and again feeling the same feeling in the pit of his stomach as she spotted him and smiled as he made his way to them.

He greeted them with a warm smile, "Good morning, Elena." He looked at Bonnie whose smile had been wiped clean off her face on seeing him, "Good morning, Bonnie." Elena smiled at him her face lighting up and he smiled back. The moment was ruined when Bonnie made an awkward exit

"Hey, um, I've gotta go find Julia and Caroline," she gestured vaguely behind her as she started backing away. "You told me that she was not answering your calls. So I'll see you guys later."

I watched as she quickly walked away.

"Bonnie, wait," Elena started to call after her, before trailing off.

"She doesn't like me very much," I pointed out in an even tone.

"She doesn't know you," Elena quickly explained, as she moved forward although her tone made it sound as if she was convincing herself too. "She's my best friend and she's just looking out for me." A sweet smile formed on her face as she placed her hand on my arm. "But when she does, she will love you."

We both started walking together, as I heard one of Elena's friend Tyler Lockwood say to Matt Donvan,

" Look, there's Elena and her new boyfriend. Now, what are they doing? Oh, they are walking. Walking, walking, walking. Yep right into the sunset. "

Personally, Stefan couldn't understand how Elena could put up with Tyler for although he was a good friend to her he did seem like one of those typical teenage boys with too much money. But then again who was he to judge for there is always a story behind everything.

" You are a dick," Matt replied annoyed.

Tyler however wasn't deterred by it, "While you just stand there looking like one of those little yard trolls."

" Gnomes." Matt snapped, getting agitated.

"Here's what we're going to do," Elena said suddenly bringing his full attention to her, she looked very determined. "Are you free tonight?"

I nodded.

"Perfect," she beamed, "Dinner, my house.8 o'clock You, me, and Bonnie." she looked so proud of herself for that idea it was very endearing. "You two will spend some quality time together and she'll get to see what a great guy you are. Mission accomplished."

I felt my lips curve into a smile and I felt alive as I looked at her. Being in her world with her was something I had never felt before it did not take long after I met her that I felt that I was not simply existing but living and loving.

"She made her choice " I heard Matt say in the background as we were talking

"Let Elena know that she made the wrong one, there is something wrong with that guy and I won't let her get hurt because of that."

And then I heard Matt's protest and the sound of an object coming towards me aimed straight at my head at least that guy has good aim. He heard Elena scream "Watch it." I spun around and caught it. hearing Elena's breathless laugh as I threw the ball back and watched it fly through the air. And into the hands of the same person who threw it at me, I didn't use my full force but what I used was enough so that Tyler staggered backward. Elena chuckled as she looked at Tyler but I glanced at her to see she was definitely impressed if not a little pissed at Tyler. Matt and Tyler did not look happy at all. As if they had any chance against a vampire.

Julia POV

The rest of the day passed quite quickly, and Julia could only smile when people asked if she and Justin a couple. She had talked to Matt earlier who didn't seem to be too happy, and she knew it was little more than jealousy, and she looked to see Stefan and Elena whispering to each other throughout the classes, they both had together. I glanced at my schedule and groaned it was time for history. God kill me now.

Mr. Tanner's dull voice and jackass attitude had made sure to suck away any possible interest anyone may have for the subject, I glanced at Bonnie to see her doodling in her notebook continuously writing the numbers 8, 14, and 22, was she trying for a nonexistent lottery. I loved my best friend but she was eccentric in the best of times. I thought back to all the juicy gossip I had heard, in lunchtime, turns out Stefan Salvatore and Tyler Lockwood had a little tiff at the start of school and that too in front of Elena, well she is not going to be pleased to wonder how Tyler will this time manage to make Elena forgive him, Elena and Stefan were here also having a whispered conversation and they both looked completely enamored with each other.

"World War 2 ended in…" Mr. Tanner trailed off, looking for his first victim of the lesson. "Anyone got anything?"

My eyes widened as I turned my face to the other side hoping against hope that he will not notice me but he did

"Miss Juan?" the first victim. The girl in question just shrugged, not looking at all bothered that she didn't know.

Mr. Tanner rolled his eyes and he answered for her, "1945". He seemed to be under the mistaken belief that people were listening to him. I mean, there were like 3 or 4 students who were, but the rest had found other things to do. Like my errant sister, who was giving Mr. Handsome Salvatore a secret little smile.

"Pearl Harbour," Mr. Tanner looked for his second victim. And guess what who was the second victim, Me.

" I don't know sir."

"Ms Elena Gilbert?"

Ellie paused her chat with Stef, her eyes widening slightly before looking at our history teacher.

"Hmmm," she said

" Pearl Harbour."

" Um" she didn't know the answer

Lucky for her Stefan saved her, and I couldn't help but feel the spark of jealousy as Stefan was turning more and more into my dream guy. Elena always managed to find herself the best of the best.

"December 7th, 1941," the very masculine voice of one Stefan Salvatore answered in lieu of my twin, as he glanced at her adoringly, And here I confessed in my mind that I wished I was her, that she was dating an average person like Justin Young and I was with Stefan, no matter how happy I was that she had finally come out of her shell, the bitterness and jealously could not just go away. It was her mistake after all.

Mr. Tanner looked rather pissed as he grounded his teeth and smirked sarcastically, before saying,

"Thank you, Miss Elena Gilbert."

The class chuckled. Stefan as it turned out was good at comebacks too, and he knew just what to say to get under Mr. Tanner's skin. He gave the teacher a cheeky smile, "Anytime."

"Very well," clearly Mr. Tanner took that as a challenge.

"The Fall of the Berlin Wall."

"1989."

Stefan's reply was instantaneous. It was like he didn't even have to think about it. Very impressive and hot. My mind went back to his brother and I imagined what it would feel like to have the two Salvatores fighting for my affections. But I knew that this was not possible boys don't fight for me I fought for them, boys they were after Elena because no matter what I did Elena did it first and better.

"I'm good with dates, sir," Stefan admitted, making it sound nothing like a brag.

Is that guy so modest? He is literally perfect. But he is Elena's not yours you can only have her waste and leftovers. Like your father's affection.

"Are you?" Mr Tanner looked doubtful, but you could see the glee he tried to hide. He was itching to embarrass Stefan in front of everyone. It was something that you learnt early on with our history teacher, you never admitted to being good at anything.

"How good? Keep it to the year."

Stefan nodded, he still looked confident

"Civil Rights Act."

"1964."

"John F. Kennedy assassination."

"1963."

"Martin Luther King."

"'68."

"Lincoln."

"1865."

"Roe vs Wade."

"1973."

"Brown vs Board."

"1954."

And slowly and slowly my eyebrows disappeared to my hairline.

"The Battle of Gettysburg."

"1863."

"Korean War."

"1950 to 1953."

"Ha!" Mr. Tanner exclaimed, looking weirdly pleased "It ended in '52.".

"Uh, actually, Sir, it was '53," Stefan said refusing to be intimated

Mr. Tanner slowly turned around, looking eager at the thought of a second humiliation. But I could sense a wariness about him. Stefan's confidence was unnerving him.

"Look it up somebody" our teacher ordered, causing many students to turn the pages of their notebooks "Quickly."

"It was, 1953." A guy said with a smirk

There was scattered applause around the room, from those who weren't completely terrified of the teacher. Mr. Tanner looked murderous, Stefan smiled before he turned his gaze back to Elena who gave him an impressed look and he didn't remove it after that as he gave her back one of his beautiful smiles even as the bell rang.

" How did you know all of that." I heard her say

" Years and years of a crossword puzzle, it's a loner thing," he replied, his voice teasing
