Chapter 6: Fight At The River and Discovery
The red truck came to Squapan just in time and pulled to a stop.
Once the truck died down, Logan, Riley, Terran, and Ambrea came out of the truck.
Riley and Terran grabbed their fishing stuff while Ambrea decided to skip some rocks.
"You coming Logan?" Terran asked his cousin, who got his ipod out.
Logan looked at him before saying. "No, you go on ahead guys. I'll stay by the truck."
The three nodded in agreement and went down to the water's edge.
Logan sighed as he played with his ipod with a smile and leaned against the front of the truck.
"Ahh, just like how the boys play them." He said while smiling.
But then he notices the TGRI vans and drops his smile.
Curious as to what they were doing here, Logan put his ipod away and went to check out what they were here for.
Then he opens one of their doors, and sees some coolers and sees some genetic mutant lambs jailed in the canisters along with empty ones.
He sees some paperwork on one of the coolers and picks them up.
"What's this?" Logan asks as reads the papers before he sees some writing on the inscription.
He looks at them closer and reads it to himself. "Property owned by 'Techno Global Research Industries' private scientist, Professor Kirby Janson to Professor Angus Oldfield? Who's that?"
Then he decides to keep the papers for more information as he puts them in his pocket.
Soon he heard some moaning and turned to see Grant looking at him with a grim expression.
Logan looked at him as he asked. "Hey, hey buddy. Are you okay?"
Grant just kept glaring at him before he ran at him, but Logan dodged him.
"What is your problem?!" Logan shouted.
"Help me! Before Angus spreads the mutagen virus all over the country!" Grant said to him before he grunted insanely and charged at Logan, pushing him to the ground.
Logan then noticed his ear was bitten by the mutant lamb.
Grant tried to grab Logan, but then all of a sudden Riley grabbed him and punched him in the face.
"Stay away from my brother!" Riley shouted at him as Terran and Ambrea held Grant down who was desperately trying to break free, but it was no use.
"What's wrong with him?" Ambrea asked Logan.
"I don't know. He just attacked me." Logan said as Riley helped him up.
"Guys, his ear's been bitten." Terran said as he eyes on Grant's bitten bloody ear, which was followed by his other family members.
Grant then violently tried to get away, but the grip from Terran and Ambrea was tougher than expected. Riley grabbed some rope from the truck and tied it around Grant from escaping. Once he was tied up, Riley immediately joined with his brother.
Suddenly crawling out of the bushes was the same mutant lamb that broke out of the canister.
It began to crawl behind Logan, who wasn't listening as it made some growling and soft hissing noises.
But this quickly alerted Logan as he pressed his right foot on the mutant lamb, making it squeak in pain like a wounded pig.
This got Riley, Terran, and Ambrea's attention, along with Grant as he tried to crawl away from the little hoofed beast, but Ambrea stopped him.
"Quick, guys! Get one of the other empty canisters from one of the vans! Either one of them!" Logan ordered as Riley nodded in agreement before he and Terran ran to the open back door van with the empty canisters.
Terran climbed in and grabbed one of them as he said inside the van. "I got it!"
He climbs out and ran over to Logan with Riley, as he gave him the canister. Logan then put the lamb in the canister and closed the lid tightly as he breathed up and down.
"What the heck is that thing?" Ambrea asked, disgusted by the mutant lamb.
"Hmm, it looks like some kind of mutant lamb." Logan theorised it.
They then noticed Grant being very extremely hypervental with insanity.
"What'd we do about him?" Terran asked the three.
Logan, Riley, and Ambrea look at each other before Logan comes up with an idea.
