Chapter 6: The Tale of Pigella
Don't worry about the name, folks. Rose will still have the rabbit. If you wanna know why this is happening, the new episode JUST came out and I wanted to celebrate it with something story-related.
"IT WAS YOUR JOB TO DECODE THE PAGES, TOM!" Ladybug yelled at Tom as they were up the top of the Grand Paris Hotel pool, currently not in use.
"WELL SORRY, BUT I NEEDED TO MAKE SURE THE STATES ARE SAFE!" Tom yelled back. "THE WORLD IS MORE THAN JUST MIRACULOUSES, YOU KNOW!"
"YOU WANT TO GO, THREE EYES?!" Ladybug said as she zipped out her yoyo.
"BRING IT ON, UNDEROOS!" Tom said with fire in his eyes. Steven, clearly in NO mood for any of this, was fending them both off with a shield on each arm. Off to the side, Queen Bee and her two other kwami's Daizzi and Barkk were watching this in worry.
"You think we should stop them, master?" Barkk looked up at them.
"Yeah, they seem kind of angry, piglet," Daizzi added on.
"Meh, they won't exactly hurt each other," Queen Bee said, munching on chocolate.
"Yea, because I'm in the middle," Steven told his friend. Just as she said that Hoppy Bunny floated down, Marry Poppins style.
"Hya, friendos," Hoppy Bunny said before she saw the demon and the superhero ready to kill each other. She then rushes up and uses her umbrella to further push the two of them apart with her freakish amount of strength away from Tom. "Whoa, what's going on here?"
"Tom here forgot to decode some of the grimoire pages, and now Operation: CAIDOZ is on a hiatus," Ladybug said. "He KNOWS we need them translated."
"Hey, just because Janna slips it out of my hands, DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN BLAME ME!" Tom said, trying to defend himself. "You know how Janna gets if she doesn't abuse Marco's credit score."
"And I'm trying to keep these two from killing each other," Steven finished up, trying to be the responsible one.
"I've only been on the team for a week," Hoppy Bunny said as she put away her umbrella. "Translate what, exactly?"
"We're trying to translate this ancient book so we miraculous holders can power up beyond normal expectations, and besides Master Fu, TOM IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN READ IT!" Ladybug explained to them.
"If it's any consolation, I started with the tiger specs," Tom said, earning a yoyo being thrown his way.
"THAT'S IT?!" Ladybug said as she zips it back. "HALF OF THE ZODIAC IS OUT AT THE MOMENT AND YOU'RE TAKING WAY TOO LONG!"
"THEN HOW ELSE ARE SUPPOSED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY CAN DO?!" Tom roared out as Hoppy Bunny stood in the middle again.
"I can test another out," Hoppy Bunny said.
"What do you mean?" Ladybug said, wanting to hear her out.
"Why don't I test another Miraculous out, you guys take notes, and after I use the power and detransform, I'll give back the one I borrowed," Hoppy Bunny briefly explained to the others.
"Hey, yeah," Steven said, having his smile return to his face. "That's a REALLY good idea."
"It's not like Ladybug has the tiger Miraculous on her or anything, she's not that stupid," Tom bragged.
"No, but Queen Bee is wearing both pig and dog as we speak," Ladybug said, pointing back to her.
"They're safer on me than being left alone in my room," Queen Bee said, sitting up on her lounge chair.
"She makes a good point," Ladybug said.
"Can I borrow one to test, Queenie?" Hoppy begged.
"Please, Chloe?" Ladybug and Steven chimed.
"Do it and I'll get you imported chocolate," Tom added on as well, knowing she can't resist it.
"Ok, fine," Queen Bee caved. "But I'll give you one to test, and Tom better keep his word." She then brought her left leg back and held onto her anklet, sliding it off. As she said so, Daizzi went back into it, changed colors, and slid it off. "Here's the pig miraculous of...something or whatever to test out for Luka to hold one day."
"Luka?" Hoppy said as she took it.
"Adrien INSISTED he gets the pig, for some reason," Ladybug said, sitting down next to Queen Bee with Barkk floating around her head. Tom joined them as well.
"I'll be the sparring partner," Steven volunteered as he stood 10 feet from Hoppy Bunny, now with only one shield. "Ready when you are."
Hoppy turned back into Rose as Fluff flew out of her pocket watch. "Well, I won't need you for now," Rose said as she slid the pocket watch inside her clothes, put on the anklet, and saw Daizzi fly out. "Aaw, aren't you a cutie patootie."
"Why thank you," Daizzi said, giggling. "I'm Daizzi, the kwami of exhilaration. And don't worry, the command phrase is the same as Fluff ."
"Did you know about this, Queen Bee?" Ladybug looked over as she shrugged.
"I didn't even know what that word means," Queen bee said.
"It means I represent joy and happiness in the universe," Daizzi said as Queen Bee looked away.
"Ok, that's my bad for not asking," Queen Bee admitted as Ladybug patted her head in sympathy.
Fluff floated up and joined Daizzi. "Go ahead, try it out."
"You sure about that?" Rose said, worried she might hurt Fluff's feelings.
"Trust me, Bun-Bun, I don't mind."
Rose took a deep breath, smiled, and happily said 3 words.
"DAIZZI, TRANSFORM ME!"
Daizzi zipped inside of her anklet. It powered on as she transformed into a pig-themed superheroine with a tutu and pigtails.
"Whoa…," The newly transformed Rose said as she looked around and saw her reflection in the pool. "I LOOK ADORABLE!"
"YOU ARE ADORABLE!" Steven said as he could barely contain his excitement.
"He's right, you know," Queen Bee said. "Pink really is your color."
"Looking good, Rose," Ladybug added on.
"Not Rose, silly," 'Rose' said as she got out her new weapon, a pig-themed tambourine, and posed like a magical girl. "Call me Pigella, the test subject of the Pig Miraculous of Exhilaration."
"Ok, so the pig gets a tambourine and represents exhilaration," Ladybug said, writing this down on a blank page of her sketchbook.
"Why didn't we just do this before?" Queen Bee questioned.
"Alright, Pigella," Steven said as he narrowed his eyes a bit. "Hit me with your best shot."
"You sure, Steven?" Pigella said, now a bit nervous. "I don't want to hit a friendo."
"Of course, I don't mind" Steven assured her. "We'll always be friendos."
This made Pigella smile as she assured Steven that they are friendos by striking his shield with her tambourine.
"You sure this won't break?" Pigella said as she wacked his shield.
"Of course not," He assured her back. "Haven't seen this get broken yet."
Just then, Pigella backed off a bit, getting an idea.
"Mind if I test my power? I think the name of it is in my mind." Pigella asked Steven.
"Ready any time," Steven said, deactivating his other shield and willing to take whatever comes.
Pigella spun her little weapon around and pushed it outward with both hands. "PRESENT!" Just then, a beam fired from it and hit Steven as both saw something deep within Steven's mind.
They were memories of his dad, the crystal gems, Lapis, Peridot, Pumpkin Pupper, Stevonnie, Connie, the Protectors, and last, Dipper and Mabel Pines, his missing friends. After the beam died down, Steven kneeled down and cries a bit, knowing that despite the past few years of the hell of knowing and doing things he shouldn't have, he won't ever have to face them alone.
"STEVEN!" Ladybug, Queen Bee, and Tom yelled out as they leaped toward him. Steven gets help standing up.
"Are you ok?" Ladybug wanted to make sure it didn't have a Cataclysm-like effect.
"That looked painful," Queen Bee added on.
"I...I'm fine, actually," Steven said, assuring the others. "Better than ever."
"What did it even do?" Tom asked Pigella as Fluff was floating by her side.
"That was Present, the first power of the pig miraculous," Fluff explained.
"It allows the subject to be reminded of what truly makes them happy," Barkk added on.
"So, the pig Miraculous is empathic?" Pigella asked as she smiled happily. "THAT'S AWESOME!"
"And the second power?" Tom asked.
"It's called Wishlist," Fluff said as she smiled at Pigella. "Try it out."
Pigella smiled and simply called out "WISHLIST!" The tambourine then shined as multiple beams came out of Steven and hit Ladybug, Queen Bee, and Tom, as they all saw what Steven saw, letting them understand what he truly wants: people that make him happy.
"Wow…" Ladybug said, smiling at this new power.
"Yup," Pigella said as she put her weapon on her back. "And now, a deal's a deal. Daizzi, detransform me." She said as she reverted back into Rose as she lifted her left leg up. "Daizzi, I renounce you." Daizzi went back into the anklet. Rose handed it back to Queen Bee and transformed back into Hoppy Bunny. "Thanks for letting me hang and help you out."
Queen Bee smiled as she slipped on her anklet and patted Hoppy Bunny's head. "Anytime, you smol bundle of happiness."
"Pig or Rabbit, Rose, You'll always be a Protector," Ladybug assured her as Hoppy Bunny hugged them happily.
"I'm so glad we're all friendos."
