Nial and Krystal now made it to cape claw as they searched around for anywhere else to keep going. The area was nothing but water, however nial has found a door that would be a way to keep moving forward on their journey. But they encountered a problem, there was no way to open it. Luckily krystal has spotted a cannon, thought it would bring the door down. So she climbed won from a vine, jumped across, and climbed up another vine to get on the cannon. Krystal gestured nial to stand back to shoot the door. Nial goes to the safest spot away from the cannon's impact, and krystal fires both doors. The door was now broken down by the cannon. Krystal made her way back. Krystal and Nial continue onward on their journey into cape claw.
"I hope kyte is doing alright." "She's a tough cloudrunner nial, she'll be ok." Krystal said. They found the gate with two levers, as they were about to pull the lever to open, they spotted the sharpclaws. "Now I see why it's called Capeclaw." "Ya know, sharp claw only." Nial said mimicking a bribeclaw voice. Krystal laughs at nial mocking bribeclaw."That's not a bad sharpclaw impression." Krystal said. "Thanks." Nial chuckled while putting his hand on his head knowing he earned a complement. "So what do we do about those two?"
"I want you to pull the lever, and I'll pull the other." "When it opens, I'll deal with them."
"Got it, I'll stay back." Nial said. "Ok, pull the lever." Nial pulled one lever, krystal pulled the other one. The gate opened, krystal readied her staff, and whacked one sharpclaw on the head. Knocking one out. She takes on the other one, blocks his club attack, She jumps up, and slams the sharpclaw hard enough to bring him down. "You can come out nial, it's safe now." Nial comes out knowing its safe, not that it surprises nial since he knows she can handle ether one or two sharpclaws. So they both progressed into cape claw and went down the path. Once they did, there's two more sharpclaws. Krystal quietly knocked one out, and then the other one. But one of them dropped a key. Nial picked it up, wondering where it would go. Nial found his answer when he spotted a cage.
"I wonder who's in there?" Nial said. They both went to the cage, when they see who it is, turns out it's the cloudrunner princess herself, kyte. "Krystal you've found me!" Kyte said happily.
"It's good to see you again kyte, now let's get you back to cloudrunner fortress." Nial used the key, and the cage opened. When she got out, she turned to see nial. "Nial!" Kyte flew and gave nial a hug "Im happy to see you as well." Kyte said. "Hey, I made a promise didn't I?"
"Even though if i find a way back I still don't wanna break it, that's what friends do." Nial said.
Kyte realized she heard the one word: Friend. "You mean it?" "Yeah." Nial nodded his head.
"Thank you nial, i'm glad that your with krystal helping her out." Kyte said.
"Ok, like krystal said, let's get you home." Nial said. Then nial hears something shut. He went to check to see what made the noise. Nial notices the gate was closed.
"Oh come on." "The gate suddenly closed." Nial said. "Great, now what?" Nial pondered. Krystal spotted some patterns. "Hey look at this." Nial and Kyte went to look where krystal found the patterns. "What is it?" Kyte asked. "Maybe it can open the gate." Krystal said.
"Oh I do love puzzles." "I wonder how this works, let me see." Nial examines this pattern of seven dots. He sees two blue dots while the rest don't haven't any. Nial sees more, and goes to examine another one, this time blue dots at the different spot. Then he looked up, and saw some sort of lever. "Hey what if the lever up there, would enable something." "Highlighting all the spots blue." "Then something would happen." Nial said.
"I'll get the lever up there." "I am the only one who can reach it." "Which one nial?" Kyte said. Nial tells kyte to do the first one, she pushes the lever down, and the first two get highlighted blue. Krystal notices something happening, knowing it's working. Nial tells kyte to do the second one, and two more get blue. Then nial pointed to the one at the far end. Two turned back, while one turned blue. After some thinking, he then points to the second one. Kyte proceeds to push the lever down. Then when all of it turned blue, there was a flash of light.
"Nial, I think you and kyte got it." Krystal said. "So it worked." "We did it kyte." Nial said.
"Actually, it was your thinking that did it." Kyte said. "Yes, it was your thinking that helped us."
"But it's still not open yet, but i think i found a way to do it." She points to the beacon.
"I think i can take care of it, i did learn some new skills since me and krystal were last together."
"Like what?" Nial wondered. "Fire breathing." Kyte replied. "You can use flame?" Nial was surprised. "Yep watch this." Kyte demonstrates by fire breathing on one of the beacons.
"Wow, I never knew they could do that." Nial said. "Now you do." Krystal said. Kyte goes to the other beacon, and uses fire. With that, the gate finally opened. "Ok, it's open." Kyte said.
"Then it's time to get going." Nial said. So the three exited the cape claw. After much walking. Passed the bribeclaw, and all the way where the longneck is. They started some conversation.
"I'm glad the sharpclaws didn't hurt you. Nial said in relief that kyte is unharmed. "And I'm sorry."
"Sorry?" "Why are you apologizing?" Kyte asked. "I left you on the ship to find the wizard, and krystal you mentioned." "But when I got back, scales took it." "Along with you on the ship."
"Alone with those mean sharpclaws." Nial said while feeling bad that he left Kyte alone in the galleon. "I wish I haven't done that." "No, what happened is not your fault." "Besides, if you had, then the sharpclaws would taken you as well." "I couldn't bear to see you endure the same thing I had gone through after being captured by them." Kyte said.
"Kyte's right nial." "None of that is your fault." "She never wants to see you go through the same way she had." Krystal said. "You promised me back on the ship, and you fulfilled it." "For me."
"You held on to the courage to complete her promise." "Would you still have the courage to do the same to find your sister?" Krystal said. Nial still feels sad, but even though he still felt bad leaving kyte back at the ship, he and krystal did come far enough to finally find kyte. Now that kyte is free, nial now has one task left. Finding his sister marin somewhere on dinosaur planet.
It may be a difficult journey since the sharpclaw is now after him, but with little courage he hangs on, he would have to either use force, or his head to keep going.
"After what I've been through, I think I have." "I may not be strong, but i'll do what i can to help you all out to continue to find marin." Nial said. "Thank you nial, but leave the mean sharpclaws to me." "I don't want to see you get hurt by them." Krystal said. "Fair enough, if i do end up face to face with one of them." "I can outsmart them, like I faked them out." Nial said.
"The fake out was a good quick thinking." Krystal said. As they continued on with their walking they spotted a baby dinosaur, a lightfoot baby whimpering. But unknowingly, it was a trap for them. "Are you lost little one?" Kyte seemed worried about this. "I don't like this krystal, it doesn't seemed safe." Nial had the same bad feeling as well. But little did he know he was right. There was an ambush when the lightfoot came down from the trees. "Krystal! look out!" One of the lightfoot behind Krystal knocked her out.
Nial wanted to do something to help, but the lightfoot in front of him knocked him out. Kyte was able to avoid them, and followed them to the lightfoot village. Krystal barely wakes up, and sees she's being held captive, tied to the totem pole. While nial was being held from the spear, preventing him from helping krystal. "That's the one." "That's the STEENKING girl that took the spell page."
The lightfoot said. "Ooohhwh, what happened?" Krystal wondered after gaining her consciousness. "I am chief lightfoot, and we don't like thieves!" The chief said. "Thief!"
"What are you talking about?" Krystal said. "You take our treasure, and give it to that steenking sharpclaws." "Yeah, and you take my spellpage." Light foot said. "I didn't take your spellpage."
"You gave it to me." She said. "Yeah you steenking liar!" Nial stood up. But was met with a hit in the head from the hilt of the spear. "Quiet,how dare you mock us!" "Let me show you what we do to thieves." "And your friend here will be next." The chief said. "Kyte help me out!" Kyte appeared before them, and without a moment to lose. She takes on the lightfoot before one of them jabs her. Kyte blasts one with her fire breath. The other one was about to jab her, And nial doesn't want to sit and watch. Nial pushes one lightfoot out of the way, and charges one at him.
"Don't even think about it." Nial tackled one lightfoot. "You're going to get it, you sneak." Another lightfoot was about to charge at nial, but kyte saved him in time with a fire breath on the lightfoot, and ran away. The fourth lightfoot was about to jab her with a spear, nial notices the lightfoot about to stab krystal. With quick reaction, he went in front of the jab from the spear with the forcefield spell cast. He guards the stab with his arm, and gives lightfoot a knuckle sandwich with a punch in the left of his face. The lightfoot ran away from nial. The lightfoots decided to yield. The chief unties her from the arms, and runs away as fast as possible. Nial deactivates the forcefield spell when it was all over. Nial regrouped with krystal, and kyte.
"Nial are you hurt?" Krystal was worried. "I'm fine, it's a good thing I used the forcefield spell." Nial suddenly kneeled while holding his head. "Dang, I think the jab may have made my body tired." "But I had to use it, to help." "I can't sit by and do nothing about it." Nial said.
"It's ok nial, what you did out there." "That was brave." Krystal said.
"It was very brave of you to stand up against those tribe nial." Kyte said. Nial started to scratch his head while he started blush in embarrassment after receiving those compliments.
"Um thanks." Nial chuckled. "How about we get outta here?" Nial said.
"Way ahead of you." Krystal said. Krystal got down from the ladder first, then after nial got down from the ladder next, they walked off to leave the lightfoot village. They went past where they were taken to the village, along where they got ambushed. They had arrived at swapstone hollow, they were about to move on to their next destination, they were suddenly greeted by the same lightfoot chief.
"Hey girly wait." They turned around to see the lightfoot chief. They were not happy to see him.
"Not you again." "If girl help lightfoot, then lightfoot help girl." The lightfoot chief said.
"The name is krystal." "And why should i help you after what you did?" Krystal said.
"Yeah why should we?" Nial said. "If cloudrunner wants to get home, we can show you the way."
"Our ancient beacons have all gone out." "And we cannot make fire, but this cloudrunner can light them again." The chief said. "You mean like this?" Kyte breathed fire at lightfoot. Then the chief ran away. "Should we believe him?" Nial asked. "If he knows the way to the cloudrunner fortress, then it's our only chance if we light the ancient beacons." Krystal said.
"Alright then, let's go find those beacons." So they went to find the ancient beacons throughout the hollow. They found one in the area where there's sand. Kyte breathed fire on the beacons, then the tumbleweed emerged from the beacon. Kyte Fire breathed again, and the beacon was now lit. Krystal found a plant with a gem on it. She hit the plant, and grabbed the gem.
"Here nial, i found one." Krystal gave the gold color gem to nial. Nial concentrated on the gem, then the same process from before started. After the process, the gem faded.
"There." Nial said. "Ready to find the next one." Kyte asked. "Yep." Nial nodded. The three went to go find the next beacon, And the second one around the small pond. Kyte did the same as before, and lit the second beacon. Then a moment later, they found the third one. Where the tree is. After kyte light up the third beacon. It was done. The Lightfoot from cape claw dived into the water, and swam down the pond. After a brief waiting, the lightfoot came back to the surface. They watched as the water started to drain little by little, eventually there was none left.
The lightfoot departed, knowing his work was done. They went down there to find a hole the lightfoot made for them to cross. Nial crawled in first, after making his way in. Krystal went second, along with kyte. Nial was walking on the water, then krystal noticed the little fall.
"Nial watch your-" Before nial could listen, he already fell down. "Step." Krystal went to see if Nial is ok. To her relief he is. She jumped down from there. "Nial?" "Im fine, just a bit wet."
"At least you're not hurt." Krystal said. "Now that he's ok, why don't we keep moving?" Kyte said.
"Oh and I see another fall to jump." Kyte warned nial. "Thanks for the heads up." Nial said. They jumped down from the next fall. Krystal looked around surprised, while Kyte looked around while flying. "So this is discovery falls!" "That means we finally found it!" Nial said happily.
Krystal spotted a log, krystal and nial got on. "I'll row this time, the current may give ya a difficult time to row." "Understandable." Nial said. Krystal gets her staff, and uses it to row. While rowing they see the longneck emerged from the waters. "So you must be krystal, randorn has told us a lot about you." "Who are you?" Krystal asked. "Do not be alarmed." "I am from the hightop tribe."
"We were helping to dig in this sacred place, when we uncovered what appears to be a shrine."
"Before it could be opened general scales arrived, and took rabdorn and the king earthwalker away." The hightop tribe said. "This must have happened before i arrived on this planet."
"It was randorn that told me to come here." Krystal said. "I'm glad he's still alive, I had feared the worst." "So far the sharpclaw have failed to open the shrine, but i do not think it will take them much longer." "You must hurry." "Above you is a cave."
"Inside the cave we discovered what appears to be a link to opening the shrine." "It is up to you now to uncover its secrets." The hightop tribe turns to nial. "Are you the human from earth?"
"I am, my name is nial." Nial said. "So the tale is true from randorn, Never have i had a chance to see an actual human from earth." "But be careful of the sharpclaws, especially scales nial."
"Don't worry, i will." Nial replied. The hightop tribe went back down into the water.
Krystal rowed to the shore, Krystal and nial got off the log.
"Argh general scales really ticks me off every time i hear what he's done." "It makes me irritated."
"I don't blame you nial, they irritated me so much too." Kyte said.
"I'm gonna assume they're probably here, I hope not." Nial said in a worried tone. When I was at cape claw, they kept discussing about you nial." "The worst part is, since general scales is aware a human like you is on this planet." "Now he plans to capture you." Kyte got scared. "I know, but i can't just let that bother me."
"My sister is still out there, and i won't give up." Nial said. "Then let's be on our way." "Let's remember to stay strong." Krystal said. The three went off to see what secrets discovery falls hides.
