Dean woke at 5am, bolting upright, something just didn't feel right. His heart was beating a mile a minute as his eyes came to rest on his two children, asleep in the bed next to him. That's when he looked down and realized the First Blade was in his hand and the Mark was glowing. He threw the blade away from him, not wanting to be near it for a second longer as he ran to the bathroom to splash water on his face.

When the blade his the floor, it woke Sam (jr) up. He was confused and dazed as he got to his feet and went to the bathroom, which was cracked open. "Dad?," he asked, pushing the door open further. The child's eyes grew wide as he backed away from the bathroom, his dad was now staring at him. Only, there was no way it was his dad. Dean's eyes were growing red as he looked from his child and back to the mirror, rapidly blinking his eyes trying to fix it. "Sam, just go back to bed. It's just a bad dream," he said calmly as he looked away.

"W-what are you? Where is my dad?," Sam yelled, waking Henry up.

"'m your dad, Sam. Now do what I say and go back to bed," Dean said, firmly, using a tone the children weren't used to using.

"Daddy," Henry cried sleepily before he started sobbing, "Bad dream."

Sam slowly made his way to Henry, keeping his eyes on the bathroom door the entire time. He scooped Henry up and ran out of the door and to their uncle's room, having heard him tell his dad he would be two doors down. Sam started pounding on the door as Henry cried more.

A few seconds later, their uncle opened the door, a gun in hand. He obviously just woke up and was disheveled and confused, "What's going on guys?" He opened the door wider to let them in, "Where's Dean?"

Sam (jr) ran past their uncle, "He...He...I...red eyes," the child said, frantically.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Sam squatted down to the children's level, "Take some deep breaths. I want you to stay here so I can go see what's going on, okay?"

"Don't leave us...," Sam (jr) pleaded, "I...I please."

"Hey, it's going to be fine. I'll be back, okay?," Sam said as he rushed out of the door, slamming it behind him on the way out. Henry was still crying.

When he got to Dean's room, he found his brother standing there with the First Blade in hand, eyes glowing red still.

"Dean! Dean, listen to me," Sam said, "You have to fight this. You did it before, put the blade down. It's going to be okay. Think of the kids. Think of Sam and Henry. They're scared and they need you right now," he tried pleading.

"Sam...I-I can't, 'm not strong enough to fight it anymore. They're gonna pay, they're all gonna pay for takin' them away from me," Dean growled out.

Sam tried walking closer and closer, but then Dean through him against the wall with a flick of his wrist, "Stop. Stop before I kill you," he said through gritted teeth. "I don't wanna Sammy. I don't wanna."

Sam drug himself up to his feet again, training his gun on Dean, "Dean, please. Don't do this, they need you. I just got you back. Don't do this."

Dean just cocked his head, grinned and let his eyes flash back to their normal green state, "Oh, my darlin' little brother. You never got me back and you never will." With that, he turned and walked out of the door. Sam fired off one shot that didn't even faze his brother who was then suddenly gone in thin air.

Sam sighed and ran his hand down his face before walking back to his room where Sam and Henry were huddled down in a corner. "Hey now...I need you both to pack your things in a minute, okay? Your dad...He had to leave for a bit. But it's okay, we'll get him back...We'll find him. I promise. But for now, we're going to go on a roadtrip to a place him and I called home for years. I still call it home. You two will love it," he smiled, assuringly.

Sam (jr) eyed him suspiciously, "Was...was that my dad? What's wrong with him? Was he possessed?"

"It was your dad...and not...exactly, I'll explain it later, okay? We gotta get moving."

Sam took a moment to text Castiel about taking the kids to the bunker and briefly mentioned Dean going rouge.

Within the hour, the kid's stuff was packed and they were all in the Impala, heading to the bunker.
