I own none of the characters you may recognize.

As previously stated, this is AU. Certain things that occur will be what my muse told me, and not from cannon in any way.

FYI, I will be posting about events that happen a decent while after these events, but still in first year, bear with me, I ran out of steam on this portion for a few days.

Hope you continue to enjoy the Massive Crossover event that this story is a part of.

September 1, 1991

"Can I join you, Susan?" Hadrian asked as he saw the red-haired girl that he had went and gotten his Hogwarts supplies with in an otherwise empty train cabin.

"Of course, Hadrian, or do you prefer Harry?" Susan asked kindly, gesturing to the empty seats.

"Hadrian, since that is what Lord Black and Hedwig have instilled in me," Hadrian said as he took a seat, having his trunk shrunk in his pocket.

"I am not surprised, from what my aunt has told me about Lord Black. How has the past month been, being with him?" Susan asked slowly.

"Good, I guess, I mean he is a bit of a drill sergeant, in making sure I am aware of as many proper customs as possible, so I don't offend anyone, who I shouldn't offend," Hadrian said kindly.

"Fair enough, did he mention to you about the calling of names for the sorting, and the impact that it has?" Susan asked softly.

"What? He did not mention anything about the sorting, aside from that he does not care which house I am in, though figures I will probably be a Ravenclaw due to my desire to read everything and understand why it is important," Hadrian said confused.

"Well from what Auntie told me, when they call your name the name that you respond to is the name, they will use the entire time you are at Hogwarts, so for an example, if I wanted to go by Susanna, which is my actual name, or Suzie, I would just not respond until they call Susan Bones," Susan said cringing at the name Suzie.

"Oh, okay, that makes sense I guess, what happens if someone calls you by another name, that is not the one you choose to go by?" Hadrian asked interested in this idea.

"Well professors can be written up, as it is improper, and fellow students can lose points if the person who they call the alternate name reports it. Few people would but, if someone was always calling me Suzie, I may report them," Susan said before the door opened again where two girls one blonde with icy blue eyes, and the other a brunette with light green eyes stood.

"Heiress Bones, would you permit myself and my friend to join you and your companion for the duration of our journey to Hogwarts?" The blonde asked looking at Susan.

"If Heir Potter-Black is not opposed, I see no reason not to, Heiress Greengrass, and Ms. Davis," Susan said looking to Hadrian.

"I have no problem with it, please sit, I'll help you with your trunks, ladies," Hadrian said as he stood and once, they nodded he lifted their trunks into the storage bay.

"Thank you Heir Potter-Black, though I had thought that Heir Black was Heir Malfoy," The Blonde said confused.

"May we dispense of the formality?" The Brunette asked hopefully.

"I have no qualms with that, Ms. Davis?" Hadrian asked carefully.

"Nor do I, Heiress Greengrass?" Susan asked looking at the blonde.

"Daphne," The Blonde said in response.

"Thank goodness, I will never fully understand why you have to do all that formal crap. I'm Tracey Davis," The brunette said releasing a sigh of relief.

"Susan, as you know," Susan said as means of introduction.

"I'm Hadrian Potter, as for your presumption Daphne, Lord Black would rather let his family fade into extinction than allow a descendant of Abraxas Malfoy to hold the name, namely with no Black blood flowing through his veins," Hadrian said causing all three girls to look at him quizzically.

"His mother is Narcissa Malfoy nee Black, so he does have Black blood," Daphne said confused.

"Adopted mother, his birth mother is Anastasia Crabbe, who is also Heir Goyle's mother, Lord Black after it being discovered I was his heir spent a fair amount of money to see who is after me in the line, and it happens to be one Arthur Weasley, but due to their crime of being branded blood traitors after trying to their crimes four generations ago, if I don't have kids House Black has no heirs," Hadrian said with a smile.

"Interesting, however I feel we should keep that information on the downlow, since I am not sure if even Heir Malfoy is aware of that detail," Daphne said calmly, before the door flew open.

"Hello, have any of you seen Harry Potter, he is supposed to be here, and I am his best friend," The red-haired boy who threw the door open said looking at the four.

"No, sorry, what is your name though, so if we see a Hairy Potter, we can let him know his best friend was looking for him," Hadrian said looking at the boy confused.

"I'm Ron Weasley," The boy said proudly.

"So, a member of a blood traitor family, whose mother is a line thief, interesting, well if we see a Hairy Mr. Potter, we will let him know you stopped by, now please leave us" Hadrian said in a bored tone.

"How dare you, death eater scum," Ron said angrily.

"Be careful who you call a death eater Mr. Weasley, in this room we have the daughter of two war heroes who died fighting that group of fanatics, and whose aunt continues her brother's mission," Hadrian said coldly.

"Whatever scum, I doubt what you claim for no war hero's kids would deem to be with scum unless they were betraying their parents' name," Ron said before slamming the door closed again.

"He was rather rude, wasn't he," Daphne observed.

"Indeed," Hadrian replied.

"I'm a bit confused, I followed when you were talking about Susan, but why didn't you say you were Harry Potter?" Tracey asked confused.

"I am not Harry Potter, that is not the name my parents gave me, nor the name I chose to go by, at the advice of both Hedwig here, and Lord Black, and would you have wanted him to join us?" Hadrian asked curiously.

"True, what was that bit you said about his mother being a line thief, and how you know so much about my parents and aunt?" Susan asked interested in the statements.

"Well as I said earlier, Lord Black did research on how I could be the heir and so found out some interesting things including that Molly Prewett used a love potion on Lord Shafiq and got pregnant with his child, who she claimed was born of their love, but Lord Shafiq after she gave birth was taken prisoner by the Death eaters who wanted to know why he would impregnate a light witch when his family was dark gray. He admitted he had no idea, and so to gain his loyalty the death eaters arranged to kill the son of line theft so the line could not be stolen. However, at this point Molly was with her secret lover Arthur Weasley, and her brothers were watching her product of line theft, which had they know had been a product of line theft they would have likely just handed the child over. But believing their nephew was a child of love for their sister, they defended the child to their death," Hadrian said simply.

"Wow, and I presume shortly thereafter was when Lord Shafiq vanished and she married Arthur Weasley," Daphne said simply.

"Indeed, though part of this information came from Lord Shafiq himself, since he was best friends with Fabian and Gideon Prewett, and only saw Molly as a sister, until she betrayed him. When Lord Black contacted him, this past month was when he told the story. He does have a family in Africa though, which he is very happy with," Hadrian said with a shrug.

"Interesting, and I presume you learned about my family from Lord Black as well?" Susan asked with raised eyebrows.

"Kind of, I was more just interested in learning more about your family since you and your aunt helped me when I first came to the Wizarding world," Hadrian said before the door opened again.

"Word around the train is that Death Eaters are in this cabin, but clearly that is not the case if a Bones is in here," A blonde haired boy said standing in the doorway.

"Heir Malfoy, can we help you?" Daphne asked coldly.

"That is Heir Malfoy-Black, Greengrass, and I was told that my father's friend's children would be here," The boy said with a sneer.

"Heir Malfoy-Black, interesting, do you have both heirship rings?" Hadrian asked flatly.

"Of course," Heir Malfoy said extending his hand which indeed had two rings on it.

"Very nice," Hadrian said as he took his hand in his own to look at the Black Heir ring, gently touching his to Malfoy's causing him to fall to the ground spasming.

"What is happening?" Tracey asked looking at Heir Malfoy in confusion.

"The true heir ring will destroy any forgery and punish the wearer of the forgery along with the creator with severe pain which can last up to a week, with the idea that the pain will ensure they never repeat the action," Susan said looking at Heir Malfoy in awe.

"Indeed, however few know about this so, it's possible that Malfoy was not aware, though can we just put him in the hall, and lock the door this time, I grow tired of the constant disruptions," Daphne said nonchalantly.

"It would be my pleasure," Hadrian said as he let his wand out from the holster he wore on his forearm and then levitated Malfoy into the hall before locking the compartment.

"So now while I do want to do want to do some studying before we get to the school, do any of you know what house you think you will get into?" Tracey asked after watching Hadrian get rid of Malfoy so easily.

"I'll probably be in Hufflepuff, like most of my family has been," Susan said simply.

"Fair enough, I'll probably be in Slytherin for the same reason," Daphne said.

"Either Slytherin or Ravenclaw, would be my bet, that is unless Dumbledore has managed to rig the sorting, then I'll be in Gryffindor. If I had preference though it would be Ravenclaw due to it being the most neutral house, what about you Tracey?" Hadrian asked kindly.

"Same as you, but what do you mean most neutral house?" Tracey asked as Daphne and Susan also looked at Hadrian intrigued at the idea.

"Well for better or worse, Slytherin is seen as the house of dark wizards, though Merlin was a Slytherin, but I personally believe he was a dark wizard at the end of his life, but that is just me. Gryffindors are courageous buffoons but are seen as light wizards. Hufflepuff traditionally has been seen as healers and pacifists, but currently are seen as duffers and weaklings, despite that not being true at all. Ravenclaw however is the scholars and advisors," Hadrian said simply.

"I don't follow exactly how that makes them most neutral, wouldn't Hufflepuff be most neutral?" Susan asked coldly, at his description of modern Hufflepuffs.

"Well let's look at it in a war setting, you have the Warriors of light and dark, in Gryffindor and Slytherin. Obviously, they are the most frequently killed. Then you have the healers of Hufflepuff, a smart warrior would kill the healers so their foe could not get help. Ravenclaw is however the scholars and advisors, so they avoid battlefield, but outside of war they are the ones inventing things, and helping society progress," Hadrian said simply.

"Interesting analysis, well I guess we will find out when we get to the school," Daphne said with a shrug, before pulling a book out of her shoulder bag, which action was soon followed by the other three.

A Few Hours Later

"Thank you, Hagrid, I will take the students from here," A Tall stern no nonsense woman said once all of the first years got out of their boats.

"Of course, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid said before entering the school.

"As Hagrid just said, I am Professor McGonagall, and I am the Deputy Headmistress here at Hogwarts. I would like to welcome you to your home for the next seven years. In a few minutes you will be sorted into one of four houses, that will dictate your primary friend group for these years, as your year mates in your house you will share almost every class with, while your other year mates won't share the same schedule as you. However, we do encourage you to get to know all of your year mates and other students around the castle as they can be a boon to you both here at the school and beyond. One special note that the Headmaster has asked that I make clear this year, due to the excessive amounts of heir in this group, is that in classes everyone will be equal, we will not use terms such as Heir or Heiress. If a more formal case that involves more than just the faculty appears then proper terms shall be observed," The woman said before noticing a hand raised from a bushy haired girl to which she nodded, inviting her to ask her question.

"What do you mean heirs and heiresses?" The girl asked confused.

"Ms. Granger, if I remember correctly, in the wizarding world there are some families that have existed for centuries and have a role of importance in the running of our world. While most families no longer hold titles in the non-magical world, with I believe four exceptions, Potter, Patil, Zabini, and Caradoc. However, despite not having impact in the non-magical world they still have power here," Professor McGonagall said simply, before noticing Hadrian's hand raised, to whom she nodded for him to ask.

"Does the old rule of the sorting name still apply?" Hadrian asked causing her eyes to go wide.

"I have not heard that question in years, but yes, it is in the charter and cannot be changed. However, we do not have time to explain that, so if you already know then good, if not you can ask later. Now please follow me, the Sorting Hat has just finished his yearly song," Professor McGonagall said simply.

"I am grateful for you telling me that rule, Susan," Hadrian said leaning over to her.

"Not a problem, but it will be interesting to see how people react to you using that rule, now I see my friend Hannah Abbott so I'm going to catch up with her," Susan said with a smile before moving over to a brunette.

"Hannah Abbott" Professor McGonagall read as she stood in the front of the great hall by a stool with a hat on it, before the girl Susan had moved to talk to walked to the front, and the Hat was placed on her head.

"Hufflepuff!" The hat explained almost immediately.

"Susan Bones" Professor McGonagall read after Hannah had left the stool to sit at the table where students were wearing yellow.

"Hufflepuff!" The hat said a few moments later.

"Tracey Davis," Professor McGonagall read a few students later.

"Slytherin!" The Hat said after a minute or so, before Tracey moved to the table where student was wearing green.

"Daphne Greengrass" Professor McGonagall called a few students later.

"Slytherin!" The Hat called a few moments after being placed on her head.

"Harry Potter" Professor McGonagall read a few students later, causing the hall to explode in whispers, only for no one to move to the stool.

"Harry Potter, your name has been called, please come forward," An old man with a long beard said after a few minutes where no one moved to the front, only for no one to move again.

"Perhaps Hadrian Potter," Professor McGonagall said realizing that perhaps the student who had asked the question about the name rule was Harry Potter, and was not surprised when he moved to the stool.

"Well Mr. Potter you have quite an interesting mind, and Albus is not going to be happy with you refusing to go by the name he has profited off of for years," A voice said in Hadrian's mind.

"The sorting hat I presume?" Hadrian said in his mind.

"Indeed, you really are as quick witted as your mother, now where to put you, you fit into all the houses well enough, though Slytherin and Ravenclaw have the most in common with your goals," The hat asked in Hadrian's mind.

"I would prefer Ravenclaw, since then I could have the largest impact," Hadrian said simply.

"That would also profit Severus more, but Albus will be quite upset, he specifically ordered me to send you to Gryffindor," The hat said almost with a smirk in his mind.

"But the charter says no one can influence the sorting, else they lose their position they hold at the school," Hadrian said remembering from reading an old book in the Black Library.

"Rowena would love you, actually all of the founders would, with you also being a parseltongue especially. But now having seen your explanation to your friends, yes Ravenclaw would be best. So, before I announce that two things for you, if you really have the plans you do, first talk with Helena or as she is improperly called the Gray Lady, she can help you a lot, but call her by her name not the name others give her. Second, maintain your friendships that you formed on the train. But now RAVENCLAW!" The hat said the last word being aloud.

"What was that wait until Professor McGonagall changed what she called you about?" An older blonde-haired girl asked Hadrian once the sorting was over.

"It is an old rule in regard to the sorting, whatever they call you during the sorting that you respond to is the first name the professors and fellow students are allowed to call you with no repercussions, so had I went up when they called the name Harry, they could use it. However, my name is Hadrian and so they needed to remember that," Hadrian said simply.

"Interesting, that would explain why none of the teachers call me Penny, since during the sorting I was called Penelope Clearwater, that is good to know, where did you learn about that?" The girl asked curiously.

"My friend Susan Bones told me that actually, but I asked Professor McGonagall and she said it's in the Charter, Ms. Clearwater," Hadrian said kindly.

"Please call me Penny, I am one of the two fifth year prefects for Ravenclaw," Penny said kindly, before beginning to talk to her friends.

An Hour Later, Ravenclaw Common Room

"Welcome back Eagles, or welcome to Ravenclaw to our new Eagles, I am Filius Flitwick, and I am the head of Ravenclaw house. Now a few reminders to you all, first academic excellence is what we as a house aspire to. This means that we all help one another if questions exist. Second, while you all have your own rooms, that does not mean that you can have parties in your rooms. Any group meetings need to be done either in our study rooms, the common room, or in the library. Third, as the headmaster said the third-floor corridor is forbidden, and I expect you all to respect that. Finally, I expect you all to make one new friendship with a student from outside of the house this year," A very small man said once they all reached the common room.

"Yes professor," Everyone responded.

"Very good, schedules are in your rooms and maps for the first years are also in their rooms, please try and avoid getting into trouble, because I am not afraid to give out punishments," Professor Flitwick said before leaving the common room.

"Wait, we all get our own rooms?" Hadrian asked shocked at the revelation.

"Yeah, I believe we are the only house that does that, but it is so we can have late night study sessions without disturbing classmates," Penny said kindly.

"Wow, that's nice," Hadrian said with a nod.

"I know, but be careful not to abuse it, since you still need to be awake enough for classes," Penny said before noticing the time and encouraging everyone to go to bed.

As Stated at the start of this chapter, I am currently working on other parts of the crossover event, so it may be a few days before I post another chapter of this story.

Returning to Hogwarts is my priority once I finish the crossover portion I am on.
