Sia was washing the dishes. After they ate together and Sia explained his abilities, they began to play games of chess together. At first, everyone was shocked about his ability, Issei was the most jealous, complaining about "how that ability is a complete cheat" or "real-life Gary Stu". Funny, considering an ability that boosts your power every ten seconds wasn't really fair either.
After a few minutes of complaining, they calmed down and realized how fortunate it was that Sia got that ability. If someone evil had that ability, they wouldn't even want to imagine what they would have done with it. Granted, Sia wasn't exactly good either. He was more of a true neutral type of person.
"Seriously, throwing a party in my hou- no, rather mansion, and then forcing me to wash the dishes. Sometimes I forget that they are devils." Sia mumbled quietly. There was still a pile of dirty dishes sitting next to him, waiting to get washed.
"C-can I help you, Sia-san?" A timid voice asked. Asia entered the kitchen and waited for his approval. Sia just nodded slightly and moved a little bit to the side, making enough space for her.
They both did nothing but wash the dishes quietly for a moment. Then Sia remembered something. There was something that he wanted to ask her for a while now.
"Listen, Asia…." Sia stopped and just stared at the plate that he was holding, for a few seconds. "Why did you join Rias's peerage?"
Asia raised an eyebrow in response, surprised by the sudden question. "Hm?"
"Ah, not that I have anything against it of course!" Sia realized that the question could be interpreted as a negative comment. "I was just curious."
Asia also stopped. She raised her head and just stared at the ceiling for a while, while she was pressing her finger against her lip. It made the nun look very cute.
"At first…" She began. "I wasn't sure if I should join. I mean, they were devils after all."
Sia nodded. It was understandable, he also imagined devils to be like sadistic monsters that trick humans. Well, he wasn't wrong. They are sadistic monsters that trick humans but they are like the Walmart version of it. Each one of them still acts human so they aren't really intimidating.
"But then I realized that they weren't all that different from humans. I mean, when Jesus doesn't have anything against them then what reason do I have?" Asia stopped for a moment as she turned away, blushing. Then she murmured in a very quiet voice. "I also want to be with Ise-san."
Should he tell Asia that he's not Jesus? No, he didn't want to crush her dreams. He wasn't brave enough to do that. Then Sia's brain stopped for a moment. Wait, did she say she wanted to be with Issei? Now that he thinks about it, it was really obvious but he paid no attention to that. Sia's flabbergasted expression then turned into a teasing smile. "Good luck getting the first place in his harem then."
"T-thank you!" She then stammered. Her face was redder than Rias's hair, which was quite an impressive feat, to be honest.
The rest of the time they were quiet. But it was not uncomfortable. It was a relaxing, silent atmosphere.
After an hour or so everybody left. Except for Issei, who was still sitting in Sia's living room, waiting for something.
"Do you want to spend the night here?" Sia asked when he saw Issei still sitting in his living room. "It is pretty dark after all and you still can't use teleportation magic, right?"
"No, I just wanted to talk with you a little bit before I go." Issei was quieter than usual. It was unnerving seeing him like this, not shouting bullshit about boobs or something.
"Sure," Sia said as he sat down in front of Issei. "What do you wanna talk about? I'll be your free therapist...even though I might not be very good at it."
"So...Uh...why are you so...howare you like this?"
"Like what?"
"Perfect." Issei stated, refusing to look Sia into the eyes. He was ashamed of himself for asking that question. For being jealous.
"Huh?" Sia's eyes widened. He didn't know what Issei meant by that. Was he perfect? Of course not. He had flaws like any other person. "But I am not?"
"You are! You are smart, handsome, and super strong!" Issei gritted his teeth. He was jealous and frustrated. And he hated himself for that. "I...I'm sorry… It's just…"
"Issei Hyoudou." Sia's voice was stern and cold. Issei froze up when he heard him say his full name. He feared that he made him angry. "I really am not perfect. Here are a few reasons for that. My emotional intelligence is low. I am lazy. It is hard for me to focus on a single thing. I have no goals, no ambition and it is hard for me to communicate with others. I also tend to act impulsively, even though I am a completely logical person."
Issei looked at him with a confused expression. Why did he tell him all that? Isn't he uncomfortable talking about his own weaknesses?
"Does that seem like a perfect person to you?" Sia grinned sarcastically as he said that. It was a rhetorical question. "Everyone has weaknesses. We just don't show them to others. Besides that...I am not strong at all. Versatile? Yes. Practically immortal? Yeah. But my firepower? It sucks compared to you devils."
Issei raised an eyebrow in response, doubting Sia's words. "But you could defeat Raiser while Buchou couldn't?"
"Because I actually hit him. As I said, I am versatile, being able to practically shove my gun in my enemy's face instantly is pretty handy. However, my firepower was just enough to beat the shit out of Raiser, besides that, I also used holy water."
"But you destroyed the whole school!"
"Yeah, it's weird. Somehow my physique also got majorly improved. I bet I am at least on the level of a middle-class devil right now. I could probably reach much greater heights when I actually decide to train my body." Sia lost himself in thought for a few seconds. It was really weird. Was it because of his ability? It does give him a few interesting passives. Resistance to fear, pain, mind control, and a boost in his "stats"? Neat.
"See? Your body is as strong as a middle-class devil and that as a human! And your magical abilities are even greater than that." Sia then realized something. Issei didn't just think that he was weaker than Sia. He was weaker than a human, even after being reincarnated as a devil. He probably felt useless after his last loss against Raiser.
"No, it is not my magical capabilities that are great. It is the weapon that I created by using demonic ore." Sia stated calmly. Issei's eyes widened and he flushed when he realized that Sia used a demonic weapon made out of demonic ore. "You can boost to a high-level quite easily and Rias is one. If any of you were to use this weapon then…"
Sia then summoned his weapon in his hand, twirling it and then pointing it at Issei.
"You could probably destroy a whole mountain with ease." Sia then dispersed the weapon with a quick movement.
It got quiet for a few seconds. Then a minute. Then a few minutes. Complete, utter silence.
"Dude…"
"You are a great therapist." Issei then stated bluntly, breaking the silence. Sia really was. Issei felt much better after his talk with Sia. Sia chuckled lightly as he tapped his chin against his hand.
"Really? Maybe I should charge you for that? Time is money after all." He joked lightly, lightening the mood.
"No, you said that it would be free!" Issei then responded grinning. It felt great like a weight was lifted from his shoulders.
"What a shame. You remembered that." Sia then sighed dramatically while playfully crossing his arms and tilting his head.
"What a shame that you are a guy...you would have been a good harem member." Issei then grinned while saying something in a teasing tone. "Dude, I may make an exception for you."
"Dude, I don't swing that way," Sia replied, rolling his eyes.
"You never tried it." A grin could be seen on his face. Sia only responded with a flabbergasted expression.
"Get out of my house, you pervert before I kick you out!"
Issei then left while laughing heartily.
-Akasha-
The school was over and Sia went to his part-time job at a local restaurant. Well, it actually wasn't his job but the job of the Sia that lived in this body before him. Speaking of that, what happened to the previous owner of this body? Did he kill the previous owner of the body?
And more importantly. Did that count as murder or suicide? He technically killed himself, which would be suicide, but he wasn't him. Interesting. But he had other things to focus on.
"Sia-kun, could you please bring the sign in? We're closing!" The elderly woman, Itsuki-san, asked. She was one of the owners of the restaurant.
"Alright!" Sia responded, going out to retrieve the sign. He sighed. He had other ways to earn money faster and easier, but he would feel bad if he left the elderly pair alone. Money wasn't that important to him anyway. He could always rob a bank if he wanted to.
Just kidding.
No, he wasn't.
"Gran-san?" A familiar voice asked. Sia turned around to see Sona, who was glaring at him sternly while crossing her arms.
"Hey Kaichou, what- Oh." Sia then remembered something. Getting a part-time job was against the rules of Kuoh academy.
"You do know what you are doing right?" Sona raised an eyebrow. It may have sounded like a question, but it really wasn't.
Sia had two options:
Do or die
He had to find a way to get out of this situation quickly. He thought about ways to excuse himself, as he remembered something that Issei once told him about. Contracts. "Of course. I am only copying our beloved Kaichou. Is there something wrong about it?"
"What?" Sona furrowed her eyebrows.
"I am doing a contract, just like you and Gremory-san do. Kai-cho-u." Sia was grinning at her with a smug expression. "A part-time job is kinda like a contract isn't it?"
Sona gritted her teeth. He was technically right, but that didn't count as it was the necessary work of a devil. Still, he was technically right. Contracts do count as part-time jobs, more or less.
Sia had the feeling that he was about to get hurt. Really badly.
Their conversation got interrupted by a feminine call.
"SOOoooOo-tan!" a high-pitched voice called. Sona immediately turned around in shock.
"O-onee-sama? Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to do maou work?!"
Oh, so Sona can also show emotions. In this case embarrassment. Nice to know. A child dressed in an outfit out of "Magical Girl, Mil kiss Viral 7 alternative" ran towards Sona while energetically waving her hand. No, actually she didn't have the body of a child. She was just short.
"But Onee-chan is here for business!" The magical girl exclaimed while jumping towards her and embracing Sona in a tight hug. "Didn't you miss me? It's finally your reunion with your Onee-sama, me! You should look happier! I expected that you call my name and then I would call yours and then we embrace each other in a yuri yuri sisterly love way!-"
Sona was getting gradually more embarrassed. That was the perfect time for a tactical retreat. Sia took the sign and moved backward slowly. Not making a single sound.
He was already inside. Out of the view of these two. Only a few steps more and the mission would be a success.
"Hey Sia, do you think that this new meal would work?" Haguro, the husband Itsuki asked him loudly. Damn it. Bad timing. Let's just hope that they proceed to ignore him.
"Ah, let me take a look at it first," Sia replied, trying to get in as fast as possible. His current objective was to survive. However, his plans were ruined as soon as Haguro stepped out, seeing the two sisters.
"Oh, Sia! I didn't know that you brought your girlfriends with you!" Haguro exclaimed, surprised. No. No. No. This isn't happening.
The two sisters stopped and looked at the elderly pair. Sona was blushing even more than before. Sia had to admit, it was embarrassing.
"What? Sia-kun brought his girlfriends?" Itsuki also came to the door. "My, my! I always knew that you were popular."
"H..hey, wait it isn't what you guys think! They are not my girlfriends! I am not popular at all!"
And they ignored him.
"Please come in and tell us more about Sia-kun. He never talks about himself and we were wondering if you could tell us a little bit about him?"
"I'm sorry but-" Sona tried to decline but was quickly interrupted by the magical girl.
"Sure! I bet Sona-chan can tell you a lot of stories about him." Sona then sighed, defeated.
Sia was dying inside. Slowly, but surely.
"Then we'll be making some tea." The elderly pair said before going to the kitchen.
"By the way, So-tan. Who is Sia?" The magical girl asked when they were alone? Sona raised an eyebrow in response.
"It is the boy that was with us the whole time." Sona then raised her finger to point at...nothing. "Where is he?"
Sia sighed. He should've stayed home today. "Here."
"OH! You are Rias-chan's Joker!" The Magical girl exclaimed happily. She stared at him with sparkling eyes. "I've been looking for you aaaaalll the time!"
What? Well, Sia guessed that she probably meant him. He was kind of a Joker in the match against Raiser after all.
"I thought that you were here for work Onee-sama?"
"I am! It is a battle of me against Ajuka-chan!" the magical girl then pouted and struck a cute pose. "Mou~ I just want to make a pact with him. He will be my personal magician!"
"Is there a reason for that?" Sia finally asked. He was also getting curious. Why is it that they want to form a "pact" with him?
"Of c-"
"The tea is ready!"
"We'll talk about this later, okay?" Sia asked carefully before he went to the table, preparing himself for dozens of minutes of embarrassment.
-Akasha-
San told them a few stories about their school and it turned night pretty quickly.
"I never knew that you were such a playboy Sia! Having tons of girls chase you! Isn't that the dream of every young man?" Haguro asked as he punched Sia lightly against the shoulder.
"No girls are chasing me, Haguro-sam. Kaichou is probably just exaggerating." Sia huffed lightly.
"Yeah yeah boy, whatever you say. We'll be going now. Close the shop when you guys go home, yeah?" Haguro then stopped as he turned around, smirking. "And clean up the mess that you'll be making kiddo."
Sia began to blush slightly while infuriatingly furrowing his eyebrows. "I...it's not like that. Now shut up and go old man."
"You guys are pretty close huh?" Sona then stated when the pair left the building. Sia nodded. The pair told him that they couldn't get kids and Sia was like a nephew to them. They were the closest thing to family.
"I guess so. Besides that what did you want to ask me..." He stopped as he turned around to the magical girl. He forgot to introduce himself first. "Ah by the way I am Sia Gran."
"I am one of the maous Serafall Leviathan! But you can call me Levi-tan!" The maou happily exclaimed as she reached her hand out, offering Sia to shake it.
A maou huh. Considering that all high-class devils like Sona and Rias we're already weird, he should've expected that the maous were even worse. He didn't mind it though. He wasn't exactly normal himself.
"To get back to the topic, why do you want to form a pact with me, Levi-tan?"
Serafall began to jump on her seat, excited and happy. "So-tan! Have you heard that? He called me Levi-tan!"
"Onee-sama, please don't embarrass me in front of other students," Sona muttered, her face glowing red.
"So-tan, please don't say that! You make Onee-sama sad."
Sia smiled bitterly at that scene. After spending time with the elderly pair together and seeing this scene in front of him, he realized something. He regretted not spending more time with his family. The last words that he said to his parents were "Have you eaten well?". And then he died. He wanted to talk more with them. Get to know them more…Was it sadness that he felt? Or anger? He couldn't distinguish it.
Well. What happened in the past, stays in the past. He had to look forward. There was a whole second life waiting for him.
"Sia-chan?" Serafall asked, noticing that he has been quiet for the last few seconds. "Are you alright?"
For a maou, she was quite empathetic. Or maybe she was just good at reading others, it could be anything.
"Oh, sorry. I just spaced out for a second. So, why did you want to form a pact with me, Levi-tan?" Sia then leaned forward, resting his head on his hands. He was not used to feeling such strong emotions, so it made him tired really quickly.
"Please summarize it as briefly as possible. A bowl is the most useful when it's empty after all."
"Gran-san, that's common sense. You are essentially saying that you can remember things better when there is less to remember."
"I know. But it sounds deep." Sia raised a finger in front of his mouth, silencing Sona. "Please continue, Levi-tan."
"Of course. The weapon that you made...it is something that not even Ajuka-chan can recreate." Serafall stopped, looking into his eyes, waiting for a reaction.
Right beside her, Sona looked very shocked. Well at least for her standards. Her eyes were only slightly widened.
"...am I supposed to be impressed? I don't know who Ajuka is."
"Ajuka-sama is also a maou and is considered a genius amongst all devils," Sona explained.
"Why wouldn't he be able to recreate it then? It is pretty easy, you just have to use structural analysis to-"
"Structural analysis?" Serafall interrupted him, looking at him with a confused expression.
"Yes, you have to infuse your eyes with mana to see the flow and existence of mana."
"But...that only enhances your eyesight?" Her confusion only grew and so did Sia's. They couldn't use structural analysis? Was that because they were demons?
"Maybe…" Sona had a theory. "It's because of your ability?"
"That makes sense. Even I don't know the full extent of it."
"Ability? Which one? Do you also have a special transformation?!" Serafall asked, jumping out of her seat and leaning forward. Her face was really close to his. Her eyes were sparkling.
"Onee-sama, please sit down. I'm sure that Gran-san will explain it to you." Sona said, sighing while grabbing her skirt to prevent her from falling on top of Sia.
"Uh, " Sia turned to the side, blushing a little bit. Their faces almost touched and physical contact was really uncomfortable to him. "How my ability works was supposed to be a secret, but I guess I can tell it to you, considering you are Sona's sister."
"Oh? Not because I am a maou?"
"No, ranks don't mean much to me. Anyway, my ability basically allows me to turn almost anything into nothing if I have a sufficient amount of information about it."
"That is...quite powerful," Serafall stated, impressed. Sia had to agree. His ability is very unfair if used correctly. "I suspected something like time manipulation after you seemingly died on the battlefield."
"Eh, close enough. My ability is limited to the information that I have, so I guess it affected my magic somehow."
"I see. It's like how being fallen affects the fallen angels, light attribute."
"That is correct. Besides that, what was the reason that you wanted to form a pact with me?" Sia tilted his head a little bit to the side while raising an eyebrow.
"Ah yes! So Ajuka-chan was very curious about how you made the weapons and he wanted to form a pact with you to exchange information! It is a battle of who forms the pact first, and since Ajuka-chan is really busy lately, It took advantage of that." Serafall explained while making different hand motions, that we're supposed to help him follow the story.
They weren't helpful at all.
"And what is your reason?"
"I wanted to have a functioning magical girl staff!"
Silence.
"Pfff-"
Then a laugh erupted. Sia's laugh sounded like a dying dolphin. It was unusual to see him making such high-pitched noises.
"EEEEEEE- I-I c-can't…"
Serafall was smiling brightly while Sona was shaking her head in embarrassment. After a minute or so he calmed down.
"A-alright so what do I get out of that pact?"
"Tee hee, I've been waiting for this!" Serafall took out another, bigger magical girl outfit out of seemingly nowhere. Where did she hide that thing? "You get this!"
Sia couldn't help but grin at that absurdity. "That sounds like a good deal."
"And not only that! You'll also get very hiiiiigh-quality demonic metals, Levi-tan version." She said while winking at him. Now Sia's interest was piqued. "Plus! You'll get information about my super magical magic."
"And what do I have to provide?" Sia was already on the verge of accepting the pact, but he had to be sure that he wouldn't be at a disadvantage.
"Okay, so the first thing! I want weekly reports about So-tan's situation! And keep potential husbands away from her."
"O-onee-sama!"
"Sure, it shouldn't be that hard. Although annoying."
"Second, I want you to make a weapon for me. The staff from "Magical Girl, Mil kiss Viral 7 alternative"!"
"Hm."
"Third, I want you to let me teleport in your house, whenever I want! I want to see the progress with my own eyes."
"Weird, but doable, I guess." Sia shrugged.
"Fourth, weekly calls. Being a maou can be lonely at times, so I want to talk to my personal contracted magician at least."
"The conditions aren't that unreasonable. By the way about your weapon, you want to have the one that the main character uses, I assume? The antagonist one looked better, in my opinion."
"Gran-san, you also watch that show?" Sona looked at him as if he was crazy.
"Oh? Yeah, It was pretty good. The prequel was my favorite, it had an interesting plot."
"Really?! Who is your favorite character?" Serafall jumped out of her seat instantly, at an incredible speed.
"Melinda was fine, I guess." Sia then stared into her blue sparkling eyes while thinking about the offer. Should he wait for Ajuka's first? Nah, waiting is for losers. "By the way, I will accept the offer. Let's form a pact."
-Akasha-
The rest of the week proceeded as usual. Sia threw himself onto his bed, praying that he would die peacefully in his sleep.
Yes.
This might be a good dream. Issei wanted to be the harem king and Sia wanted to fucking die. After going to school again Sia realized how exhausting it was to exist. Dying and not having to do anything ever again.
That sounds like a good dream.
Sia closed his eyes. His body slowly relaxed as his breathing began to repeat the same, calm rhythm.
"I will never move again."
It was quiet. Sia had the time to think about every mistake he made in life. Now that he thought about it, there was something off about this week.
First of all, Sia saw traces of holy energy near the room of the occult club. However, he ignored it as he expected that they already dealt with it themselves.
The second thing was that Issei had barely any free time left. Usually, he would ask Sia every few days if he wanted to hang out with him. However, he didn't do that this week. Not a single time. Suspicious.
Well, he's probably overthinking things again. Besides that, spending time alone was also really enjoyable. Still, Sia felt like he forgot something. Something important.
Then something he heard a loud bump downstairs as if something fell. An intruder? Possibly. Sia stood up lazily to check the source of the sound. He wasn't worried about it being an intruder, since his strength was well above that of a normal human.
However, it would be quite bothersome if some of his possessions were destroyed in that progress. Or even worse. Some of his research. He arrived in his living room, only to find a strange man sitting there on his couch.
He was clad in a simple white buttoned up shirt with plain black trousers. Around his neck hung a small silver cross which dangled on the middle of his chest. He turned his head to Sia, calmly as if he expected him to come, which wasn't surprising as he broke into his house.
If Sia had only one word to describe him, he wouldn't use a word. He would use a name. Dracula. That man looked like the real-life version of Dracula.
The first thing that Sia did was using his structural analysis to find out more about the strange intruder. Traces of tainted light, a fallen angel.
However, his magic reserves were lacking as far as Sia could tell. That could mean two things. He either sucks or he was suppressing himself as of that moment.
Sia was ready to summon his weapons at any time.
"So you are the one that he deemed as dangerous?" The man asked, his gentle expression unchanging. "You feel similar but also different from him. How fascinating." The man began to speak. Sia responded with a confused expression. What was he talking about?
"State your business, Intruder," Sia spoke harshly. His voice was ice-cold. He wasn't very keen to have a friendly conversation with a stranger that broke into his house. However, the man ignored him.
"I always thought that the prophecy was nonsense, made by humans, but seeing this now...maybe it wasn't nonsense after all?" The man continued. "His existence is a mystery, even to me. I've never felt such a presence before but here I am. Someone who has a similar presence, but also a completely different one."
"What are you talking about?" Sia was slowly getting annoyed. Why was the man spitting all that nonsense? Who was he talking about? Sia contemplated if blasting the head of the stranger off was a valid option. However, he didn't want to kill needlessly, so he decided not to. In the best-case scenario, he could convince the stranger to leave and never come back again.
The chances of that working were a little bit unrealistic though.
"Humans were always strange creatures. They are weak, selfish, hypocritical, and cruel. Still, they seem to be the favorite of father. He even claimed that someday they would even be able to surpass him, the all-mighty." The man then turned his head away, leaning forward and taking a thinking pose. "Why is that? Do you know the answer to that question?"
"Because we aren't perfect." Sia stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "We are always growing, trying to get better, but we will never be perfect. And we will never stop growing."
The man chuckled lightly at that. "You started the same but differed at the end."
"Why are you here?"
"To inform you."
"Inform me of what?" If the stranger wouldn't stop speaking like that, Sia would seriously blast his head as of that moment. Why can't he just speak like a normal person?
"You are bored aren't you? You also want to have fun, am I right?"
"You didn't answer my question." Sia glared at him with sharp eyes. The man was the type of person that annoyed him the most. The annoying ones that didn't listen.
"A war is about to start." He stated calmly. Sia immediately started chanting and summoned his weapons, aiming them at the man's head.
"Are you threatening me?" The atmosphere in the room changed instantly. If anyone else would've been there they would feel like they were standing in the middle of Antarctica, naked. The temperature in that room dropped by quite a few degrees. Sia's voice was cold, devoid of any emotions.
"You don't want to destroy your own house, do you? If we were to fight, not only this house, your neighbors and even more people would die in the progress of it"
"Bold of you to assume that you could dodge my attack. You are in a bad position." Sia acted as if his words didn't have any effect on him. However, he was right. It would be too risky to fight.
"Do you want to risk the lives of innocent people?"
"Tsk." Sia moved back a step. However, his guns were still aimed at the stranger.
"Meet me at the school. You and the devils against me and my forces." He stopped for a moment, thinking about something. "However, I don't think that I will be the one who will be your opponent. There is another one who deserves that honor."
"I see. Before you go, answer me one last question. Who are you?"
Giving him one more radiant smile he stood up and walked away. "Sia Gran, you who are one of Adam's children, allow me the honor of introducing myself to you."
Ten bird-like wings erupted out of his back, confirming Sia's suspicions. Sia also realized something else. He was wrong. The mana reserves of the fallen angels were huge, only a few steps behind the reserves of Serafall, a maou.
The smile he gave Sia was one of unconditional benevolence and compassion before he placed his right hand over his heart and bent his waist into a small bow, as all the while raven-colored feathers gently drifted in the air around them. "I am Kokabiel, the Fallen Noble of the Stars, one of the Lords of Grigori"
Then in a flutter of feathers, he was gone.
Well, it seems like he can't relax just yet. Yes. Living was a mistake.
-Akasha-
"I'm going to make the four Excaliburs into one . " Balba said it as if he found it amusing.
"Balba. How much longer will it take for the Excaliburs to merge?" A voice asked. However, it wasn't a male voice. It was a voice that Issei could always remember no matter how much time would pass.
"Less than 5 minutes Raynare-sama."
"Speed it up. We can't let Kokabiel-sama wait for too long!"
Behind her, a blue-haired fallen angel, a short blonde one, and a middle-aged man with black hair appeared. He was wearing a strange hat while the other ones were wearing either an eye patch or a gothic lolita type of clothing.
"Raynare, they already arrived." The short one stated.
"Shut it, Mittelt. I can already see that." Raynare nearly spat these words out while she stared at Issei, mockingly. "Now hello there, low-class devil-kun. You don't have your strange friend by your side now, do you?"
Issei grit his teeth in anger, activating his boosted Gear. After losing the rating game he trained hard and even created a new skill.
"Ise, I will take care of the other ones. Show that lowly fallen angel what the pawn of Rias Gremory can do." The crimson-haired heiress said while tapping him on the shoulders.
"What are you going to do with your lowly twice critical?!" Raynare spat out and laughed. Her comrades were getting ready to fight. Akeno was getting attacked by the eye-patch woman while Rias fought against the man. The opponent of Koneko was the gothic loli.
"A twice critical, huh? I'll end this in only one blow!" Issei raised his gauntlet, creating a small red ball in his palm.
[BOOST]
"I'll end this in one blow! Dragon shot!"
The small ball imploded, crossing the distance between him and Raynare in almost an instant.
"What?! A Boosted Gear?!" Was everything Raynare could say before she was terminated by the new attack of Issei. The other fallen angels were taken care of just as fast.
Issei grinned while looking at his gauntlet. He got much stronger than he was before. With this power...even Kokabiel can't win!
Clap
Then they heard someone clapping. It came from the sky. Issei looked up, only to see Kokabiel flying there while looking completely calm. "Well, that was anticlimactic. But I didn't expect much more."
He then turned to Rias while raising an eyebrow. His expression looked bored. "And? Who did you call? Sirzechs? Or maybe Serafall?"
"The great war wouldn't start again just because of one fallen angel!" Sona shouted at him.
"Looks like you are uninformed. Isn't it commonly known…" Kokabiel snapped his fingers. Ten...twenty...hundred no, more than a few thousand fallen appeared right behind him. They descended from the ground and filled the night sky with their black wings, covering all the stars. "...that I command an army of 365.000? I thought everybody would know that. However, many died in the war so I only have around 130.000 left."
"Buchou…" Issei muttered in disbelief. His will to fight was gone. How were they supposed to fight against 130.000 enemies?
"I know, Ise… But we just have to hold on for an hour… Akeno already contacted Onii-sama."
"Rias's brother is strong." Koneko stated while she clenched her fist harder. She was trembling. Not only ll she was trembling. Everyone there was.
Akron, Rias, Asia, Sona's peerage, and Issei. They had to survive a whole hour against 130.000 fallen. Who could still stay positive in such a situation?
"Don't worry. I won't use my army against you guys. They will be resting until the war begins. Still, you guys wouldn't even survive against my pets anyway."
Kokabiel clicked his fingers. Then from the depths of darkness there was a sound of the ground rumbling as it came closer to them. It probably was ten meters tall. It had a large body, four legs, and each leg was thicker than Issei's body. The eyes that were glittering from the darkness were red. From its mouth, what it had were dangerous looking fangs . The fangs were close to each other, and from the gaps, white breaths were pouring out. The claws on its back were glimmering in the moonlight while it was staring at them with their three heads.
And the worst thing was. There were two of them.
ROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!
"…Cerberus!" Rias's voice was filled with disgust.
"Cerberus?"
"Yes, it's a famous creature that has the nickname of Guard-dog of Hell. " So as explained while she too looked at it with disgust.
Guard-dog of hell? Even the name sent shivers running down Issei's spine.
"It lives in the gate to Hell, no to the Underworld. But to bring it to the humans' world!"
"Is it bad?"
"We have to do it! We will blow it away, Ise!"
"Yes Buchou! Let's do it, Boosted Gear!"
[Boost!!]
"Ise. This time, we will back you up . "
"So that I have the time to boost?"
"Yes, but you'll use that to support us, using your transfer. By the way Ise, how many times can you transfer?"
"Around 4 times, sorry," Issei said while gritting his teeth in disappointment. Why was he never strong enough?
"It's alright. Sona! You take care of the other one! Akeno!"
Rias got her wings out from her back and flew up into the sky with Akeno.
GAAAAAARUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Cerberus jumped after growling. One of the heads began to spit out a fireball. It moved at a drastic speed towards Rias, who just smiled at that sight.
"Too naive."
Rias used her power of destruction to counter it. Another head began to fire off a fireball, supporting the first one. Rias now began to struggle. If the other head began to attack too, she wouldn't be able to hold on!
PUNCH
"Found a weak point." Koneko punched the monster, who was busy countering Rias. The Cerberus got launched multiple meters back, however, it didn't end there.
"Time for a little punishment." Akeno calmly said with a sadistic smile.
The Cerberus got surrounded by violent lightning. It began to scream in pain while struggling to escape the grasp of Akeno's lightning.
Rias then launched a massive ball of destruction at him, creating a massive crater and knocking the Cerberus down. Black blood flowed from the wound.
Issei turned around to Sona's peerage. They were doing just fine.
GAAAAAAAAOOOOO!
Issei's eyes widened as he heard that sound behind him. It was still alive?!
It made a howl and it ran towards Issei and Asia. Issei began to panic. Should he use his boosts? No, that would reset every boost that he had done so far. But... he had to protect Asia!
SLASH!
One of the heads of the Cerberus that was coming at us went up into the sky . It was cut! By who? Kiba? No, the person who appeared was the one who wielded a long Excalibur, Xenovia. The head of the Cerberus that was cut turned to dust.
"I have come to back you up. "
Issei's gauntlet began to glow. "Buchou! I can transfer now!"
"Great, then use it on me and Akeno!"
Issei nodded. He didn't know if he could transfer the boosts to two separate things, but he had to try.
[Transfer]
An enormous amount of power went to Rias and Akeno. They instantly gained an enormous amount of demonic-power. Both of them were shocked at the amount of power that was overflowing in them .
"……We can do this..
Akeno nodded to Rias's daring smile.
"Akeno!"
"Yes! Thunder! Resound!"
Akeno pointed her fingers to the sky and started to control the thunder. Her fingers were aimed towards the Cerberus.
The Cerberus tried to run from the spot as if it predicted the upcoming thunder!
STAB!
Countless swords pierced through the Cerberus' limb! The swords were coming out from the ground! These swords.m.
"I won't let you escape. "
The person who appeared was their Knight, Kiba. He came at the perfect time!
Then a lightning bolt struck down. It was incomparable to the previous one as this one covered half of the school ground.
RUMBLE
The body of the Cerberus just turned into fine, black don't as it got carried away by the wind. Instantly after Cerberus disappeared, Rias pointed her finger at Kokabiel, creating a massive ball of destruction, 10 times bigger than usual.
She fired it off as it gained a high velocity. Kokabiel stretched out his hand, dispersing it instantly.
"Interesting. So that red dragon emperor can boost your power this much, huh?"
Kokabiel started to laugh by himself as if he found it funny.
"…It's complete . "
Balba's voice. Then the four Excaliburs that were placed on the center of the school field started giving out incredible amounts of light . What is it? What was happening?
"The four Excaliburs are going to become one . "
It started giving out divine light that spread throughout the school field . The four Excalibur were put on the top of each other. When the bright lights were gone, there was one holy-sword at the center of the field giving out a blue-white aura.
"Because of the light created by the Excalibur when it turned into one, the spell on the ground is also complete. This town will collapse within 20 minutes . The only way to dispel it is by beating Kokabiel."
What? It can't be! Lies! They had to beat him as his army now! They couldn't just wait for Sirzechs to arrive! Was there anything that they could do? Sia! He could maybe neutralize the magic with his cheat! But they didn't inform him about the situation, as they didn't want to bother him anymore with their devil problems. Damn it!
"Freed!"
Kokabiel called out the name of that shitty priest.
"What's up, Boss?"
A white haired priest emerged from the darkness.
"Use the Excalibur in the circle. It shall be the last entertainment . Fight while using the Excalibur that has turned into one from the four Excaliburs."
"Yeah yeah . Geez . My Boss sure uses people recklessly . But but! It's like I'm so honoured to use the Excalibur-chan that has become super wonderful! Something like that? Uhehehe! I will just chop some Devils now!"
Freed put on a crazy smile while holding the Excalibur located at the centre of the school field. So he could use it . He did say that he received a factor from Balba. Xenovia then spoke to Kiba.
"Rias Gremory's "Knight" . If the cooperation is still valid, let us destroy that Excalibur together. "
"With pleasure."
BANG
A gunshot rang out. And Kokabiel barely dodged it. He then turned around to the direction where the sound came from.
"So you finally arrived…"
Issei knew exactly who it was as everyone turned around to the main gates. A handsome young man with an expression that said something like "I am soo done with this shit" stood there while lazily aiming his sniper at Kokabiel.
"Sia!" Issei called out. Sia turned to him for a fraction of a second before narrowing his eyes and glaring at Kokabiel again.
"Sorry, I didn't know how much the distance between my house and the Academy was, so I had to guess. I took small steps to ensure that I won't go too far, but I suppose it took me a while to finally arrive." Sia explained calmly. He grinned for a second, before instantly shooting another shot at Kokabiel.
However, a rustle could be heard as another boy with red hair appeared, blocking the shot with his katana.
"Such a shot wouldn't hurt me." Kokabiel calmly stated. The boy only shrugged in response.
"I didn't block it for you. Making a dramatic entrance is important, after all." The boy wore a white and black kimono. His eyes were blood red and his hair was crimson red, contrasting his blue blade. Another pretty boy. Damn it! He then turned around to Sia, narrowing his eyes. A small smirk appeared on his face. "The name is Tatsuya. My boss gave me the job to eliminate you."
Sia stared at the new boy for a few seconds with a confused expression. He then furrowed both of his eyebrows.
"Understandable, have a great day."
