Nicolas J. Fury sat down at the table opposite Percy.

He opened a file.

"Now, Mr. Jackson, I would like you to tell me where you were last August"

Percy tried to still his breathing, the Avengers said he doesn't know about the gods, so he'll have to lie.

"I was visiting my father's sister" he said, it wasn't the whole truth, but it wasn't a complete lie either.

"Your father is listed as missing"

"Doesn't mean he don't have no relatives"

"Mr. Jackson, if you don't answer my questions correctly things will get difficult. Now, why don't you call your mom and tell her you're at a friend, this'll take a while"

Percy stared blankly at the man in front of him. "My mother was in an accident yesterday. She died" he whispered his voice hoarse.

"My condolences" Fury said with no pity at all "We'll have to sign you up for child services"

Fear clawed it's way up in Percy's throat, he couldn't breathe.

"Child services?" He croaked

Fury nodded "You aren't eighteen yet, you're still a minor"

"Right, I know that. But child services? I'm turning eighteen in two months couldn't I stay with my uncle? He doesn't mind"

"Your file says you have no living relatives"

"That's funny since you're currently in his house. Tower. Whatever this place is"

Fury looked at him incredulously "Stark? Stark's your uncle?"

Percy had the nerve to look sheepish "Yep. Yes, he is. He's my uncle. Lucky me. So now, I don't have to go into the fostering system. Right?"

"I suppose not" Fury grumbled "GET STARK IN HERE NOW!"

It was a few minutes of silence before Tony stepped into the interrogation room.

"Yo! You called" Tony said with am obnoxious smile on his face like he knew something the entire world didn't.

Fury glared at him disapprovingly "Yes, this idiot boy claims to be your nephew"

"HEY WHO YOU CALLING AN IDIOT?" Percy yelled

"Shhh child. Yes, he's my nephew, is that a problem?"

"Why haven't you shared this information beforehand?"

Tony scoffed "Because I didn't want to. Also, why would I? I didn't know you were after him. I wanted to keep him and my sister off the radar so S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't know about them. So, they wouldn't be in danger"

Proof guys! Proof! Proof that Tony Stark actually sincerely has a heart.

Percy smiled, a real one this time.

"And yes, he's staying here. Don't even think about the fostering system. Now get him out of those cuffs, he's not a terrorist, get off his back"

Protective Dad Mode Activated

Fury narrowed his eye, but Tony didn't budge.

Fury sighed "Very well" he took the key and placed it in Tony's hand.

"Thank a you" he said as he casually strutted over to Percy and casually not so casually unlocked the cuffs.

Percy rubbed his wrists pretending they were sore.

"I'm guessing you didn't even detain him, you just stuffed him into this room when you were alerted I was in the building." Fury accused

Tony shrugged rubbing the back of his neck "Yeah, he called me right after you left. I had a lot of fun trying explain that one to the team. Natasha can be scary"

"Yeah, sorry about that Uncle T"

Tony waved it off like it was nothing "Eh, don't worry about it. Well Fury, your jobs here is done."

"I still have some questions"

"Ones that he doesn't have to answer"

"You don't have custody of him yet, I can still question him"

"Custody goes to me since his mom is dead, I'm the only living relative. You're not questioning him. So give up."

Fury glared.

Tony glared

Percy looked back and forth between the two like it was a tennis match.

"Fine" Fury relented

He took himself with his long black trench coat and walked out the door

"That went well" Percy muttered

"I am so dead" Tony said his eyes widening.

"Probably" Percy agreed.

"Lets go get something to eat" Tony ushered Percy out of the room.

"Best idea I've heard all day" Percy said letting himself be led out the door.

Tony and Percy walked into the kitchen where the rest of the Avengers were having lunch.

"HEY! You're back!" Clint waved; his mouth full of food.

Steve looked up and smiled, "I guess we'll need two more portions"

"YES PLEASE!" Tony said leaving his post by Percy's side to grab a plate of hot pasta off the counter.

Nobody seemed surprised by his antics.

Percy took a plate and sat down next to Clint who was still stuffing his face.

"Sjjjasla, hwdsidgo?" He asked

Percy stared at him "It was fine, I think"

Bruce stared at him "How'd you understand that?"

Percy shrugged "I've delt with a ton of campers who love to talk with their mouths full"

"Gross" Bruce shuddered

"Yeah."

The rest of the day went by rather quickly, Percy lost 273 to 27 in Mario Cart against Clint. He was never living that down. Ever.

For dinner they order Pizza Hut and all of them (minus Percy who was extremely surprised about the Avenger's animalistic nature over pizza) fought for slices, stealing from each other's plates.

Percy just took some cereal and milk, not wanting to deal with it.

After dinner, they settled on the couch and watched a movie, it was originally Clints turn to pick, but he gave up his slot for Percy.

They ended up watching "The Lion King" (they couldn't find "Finding Nemo" anywhere. It was like someone deleted it off every single website)

After the tears were shed Steve being the only responsible one (contrary to popular belief Natasha never wanted to go to bed and wasn't that responsible. Secret reveal) ushered everyone up to bed before collapsing himself.

Percy lay awake in his bed his hands folded behind his head for hours.

The next morning Percy woke up at around noon. He staggered into the elevator still half asleep. He walked into the kitchen yawning and scratching his face trying to get the cloud of sleep hanging over him to disappear.

He was greeted by Director Nicholas J. Fury and the rest of the Avengers.

Fury looked at him with his one eye and spoke so evenly and matter of fact like this was something he was planning for years Percy nearly choked.

"How about I offer you a job?"
