Patriot-112: Here I am again! With a new chapter for Reforge v2. Not much attention from the first try at a remake, but as long as there are those who are interested that's fine. I know you guys are getting tired of me doing these remakes, but after current episodes and seeing a mess that is too big for a simple edit...yeah. Hopefully this will be successful. As for the Alters, as I said before they're not part of the main storyline.
Either way, enough of my rambling, let's get to reading!
Chapter 5:
Nightmares and Hidden Power
Unknown Island
Men and women clad in black armor, and wearing a combination helmet with a gas mask, rushed to complete a specific task, or trained for any combat they will no doubt be involved in. One man though, stood near the airship dock, as a familiar gunship appeared not too far in the distance. He was clad in gunmetal grey armor, with a slight gold trim, and like the others was wearing a helmet, but without the mask, showing the eye patch over one of his blue eyes, along with a scar, along with a blonde scruff for a beard.
At his side was a longsword, which was secured in it's sheath.
The airship approached before beginning to touch down on the dock, before the side hatch opened up, allowing a certain person he was waiting for to disembark, which the man's eye narrowed in disapproval. The airship shut down it's engines as the figure walked up to the man, before stopping in front of him.
"What were you thinking?" he demanded right off the bat, as the passenger, their figure clearly that of a woman, clad in gladiator-style armor but wearing a fully hoplite helm to hide her face from prying eyes. "You were supposed to observe them, not get involved,"
He felt the woman's eyes return the look, but he didn't flinch.
"I had observed for as long as I could," the woman stated, "The police were getting too close for comfort,"
"They would've made it!" the man argued back, "It was fortunate nobody was killed when you fired those EMP darts at them!"
"And what if those idiot cops fired one of their guns at the van, missed, and hit her!?" the woman retorted, "What do you think would've happened!?"
The man groaned irritably as he rubbed his temples, pushing his helmet up in the process and revealing his blonde hair more.
"I know you're worried about her." he said, "I am, too. But we can't take unnecessary risks like that, and possibly putting her in more danger than she already is,"
"I CAN'T HELP IT!" she cried out hysterically, as she waved her arms in frustration, "I failed her once! I can't afford to fail again!"
The woman didn't expect for her arm to be grabbed and pulled into a strong embrace, which she tried to fight out of, but soon gave in when she realized it was no use. The man holding her didn't speak until he knew she had calmed down.
"You don't think I know that?" he said, his tone soft with a noticeable tremble, "You don't think I fear for her safety just as much as you do? I want to make sure she is safe and away from this war, too. But you need to remember that we need to play it smart, or else it won't be just her that will be lost,"
"...I know that...," she sobbed, "...but still...,"
"Just be patient..." he said soothingly, "...we WILL get her back. I promise,"
The two then separated as the woman reached and pulled her helmet off, revealing shoulder length red hair, with a small braid on the left side of her face, and a pair of emerald colored eyes.
"The sooner the better,"
Meanwhile...
Her eyes fluttered open, before the smell of smoke and blood assaulted her nose, and they widened at the devastation around her, in what used to be a massive courtyard, in front of a massive tower.. In that moment she knew what this was...
...Beacon, or rather...the day that it fell.
She had seen this many times before in her sleep. Reliving the memory of how they saw each other for the last time, from their perspectives. But now...this was different.
She noticed that she was now seeing things from her perspective, since she was still clad in her armor. She lifted her hands in front of her, as she flexed her fingers.
"Wha...what is this...?" she gasped out, her tone shaky and confused, "This...this has never happened before...,"
Her musings were cut off as she heard the sound of running feet, and looked ahead and spotted two people running from the tower...people whom her adoptive Aunts and Uncle talked about so much.
One, a blonde haired young man in white armor over a black short sleeve hoodie. The other, a pony tailed redhead haired girl clad in bronze armor, rushed a good distance from the tower as the boy pulled out his scroll.
"I have Glynda's number right here!" the boy said as he frantically pressed the screen, "Oh where is it!?"
Dorée's eyes widened as she watched the two, as the boy frantically walked back and forth trying to get a hold of Glynda, before stopping to look at his partner.
"Pyrrha? What was all that?" he questioned and Dorée saw the girl was apprehensive in answering.
"I-I...," she began trying to say, before a tremor got their attention and they turned back to the tower. Dorée then could see a light shoot up the elevator shaft, and she knew right then and there who it was. Her teeth gritted tightly as well as her clenched fists, before she then heard Pyrrha's voice again.
"Go! Get to Vale, and call for help!" she told the boy, who looked at her perplexed.
"Wha...What are you gonna do?" she heard him question before Pyrrha turned to look at the tower, the boy following her gaze.
"No...No, Pyrrha you can't!" he said, his tone holding denial and fear, not for himself, but for Pyrrha, "You saw how powerful she is! Pyrrha I won't let you-"
He was cut off as Pyrrha grabbed onto him...and kissed him on the lips Dorée eyes widened a fraction as she looked away, a slight blush on her cheeks. But that was short lived as she heard a loud thunk and the slamming of a metal door, causing her to look back, and saw Pyrrha walking toward, what she was told, a rocket locker.
"Wait! WAIT! Pyrrha please! Don't do this!" she heard the boy beg, but the 'Invincible Girl' didn't say anything as she placed in the set of coordinates, looked through the grate one last time, before stepping back as the locker launched into the sky. As soon as the locker was gone, the Champion of Sanctum turned back toward the tower, before beginning to head toward it.
'...No!' Dorée thought frantically, before she attempted to call out to her, but then to her shock, when she opened her mouth...no words came out. 'W...Wha...!? My voice!'
She placed her hand on her throat and attempted to say something again...but no dice, except a strangled gasp.
'What's going on here!?'
But looking back up she saw Pyrrha now running toward the tower.
Her eyes narrowed as she lifted her arm, hand outstretched, as she attempted to use her Polarity semblance to stop her...only to realize, again, to her horror that it was also not working!
'No... no no no NO!' she screamed in her mind before looking back up and spotted Pyrrha had entered the building. She wasted no time before she began sprinting toward the building herself...only to see six figures suddenly appearing, bursting from the ground. They looked humanoid in shape, but their skin was completely black with red veins going down their bodies, the skin around the top half of their skulls gone, and their eyes glowing red and yellow like all their other Grimm brethren.
Dorée growled in desperation and anger, before reaching and, thankfully, grabbed her sword and shield from behind her back as she kept running toward the tower. The creatures before her gave an inhuman screech before they charged at her. However, a flash of steel severed the heads of two of the monsters, before Dorée bashed the others away with her shield, before running into the lobby, just in time to see Pyrrha enter the elevator.
She attempted to run after her, but then the Grimm humanoids jumped on her back causing her to growl in frustration, before beginning to fight them off as he head butted one in the face, pulled her foot up before stomping down on one's feet, causing one holding her arm to shriek in pain before she decked it across the face. Then she used her free arm to grab another by the neck, before a blade from under her gauntlet slid out and stabbed it in the throat. As she finished it off, she turned back, only to watch as the elevator began to glow black, before it shot up the shaft.
'NO!' she shouted in her mind, her voice still not working, before looking around and spotting one of the elevator doors on the floor, and tried to use her polarity again...which did nothing.
'Come on! Come on!' she mentally groaned, but then more of the inhuman screeches were heard, and time was running out. She decided to take the long way, and thus proceeded to run up the spiraling staircase.
She didn't know how long and far she ran, but she didn't care. She had to stop her, stop her from making the last greatest mistake of her life. The tremors and the sounds of explosions only encouraged her to keep moving.
She soon spotted the door and made one final sprint toward it, before shoving it open. She burst into what was left of the Headmaster's office, the ceiling gone, and the clock gears having stopped or were knocked off and on the glass floor which was cracked.
However, she didn't pay attention to any of that, as her eyes were drawn to the scene in front of her.
She saw Pyrrha, on her knees, as a dark haired woman in a red dress, formed a bow and arrow out of black glass and proceeded to aim it at her. This caused Dorée's eyes to widen in panic before she began to move forward in order to stop the power drunk mad archer from carrying out what she planned to do, only for something to wrap around her leg and stop her. She looked down, and saw the barbed-tipped tentacle of a Seer as it roped around her left leg. But that wasn't the only thing...
"Sorry child...,"
Dorée's blood ran cold at the careless, mocking, feminine tone she had just heard from the Grimm.
"...But I can't allow you to save her,"
With that sentence the twang sound of a released bowstring, quickly followed by a thick thud accompanied by a pained gasp, caused her to snap back and her face contorted into complete horrified shock. She saw Pyrrha still on her knees, but what drew her attention the most, was the arrow now lodged in her chest, as small sparks of what remained of her aura leaked out and floated into the air, as the champion herself struggled to breathe as she reached up to the arrow in her chest, her face contorted in pain, shock, and sadness.
'No...No...Please no.' she thought desperately before hearing the sound of the woman's glass heels as she strutted victoriously toward Pyrrha.
"No matter what you do," the voice from the Seer mocked, "No matter how hard you fight. The end result will still be the same, and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. That is the true reality of the world."
Dorée felt her horror give way to grief...followed quickly by rage.
In one swift motion she cut the tentacle off her leg and charged at the one who murdered Pyrrha. Her emerald eyes now surrounded by flames as she screamed in fury. The ashen haired woman, whom she now knew as Cinder, turned around, but Dorée didn't give her the chance to even speak as her sword swiped through the bitch's neck, leaving her a head shorter.
Not caring about the kill, the time traveler dropped her weapons and rushed over to the stricken red haired student before catching Pyrrha in her arms, and laying her down gently. The glass arrow had dissolved completely away, leaving a cauterized wound, but Dorée didn't look at it as she tried to revive the champion, whose eyes had now closed and her breathing stopped.
"No...no come on! Stay with me!" she pleaded, "Please! Please don't die on me! Not after all I went through to get here! Dammit, wake up!"
She shook Pyrrha by the shoulders, trying desperately to wake her up, but no sound or movement came from her, as she stayed motionless, unheeding to Dorée's pain filled pleas, as her eyes welled with tears.
"Please...come back...please," the time traveler wept before she pulled Pyrrha's body close to her into an embrace.
'...Why...?' she thought mournfully, 'Why does it have to be this way? Why does EVERYTHING in this world have to be unfair!? ...Tell me...tell me dammit! TELL ME!'
But she received no answer to her demand, as she continued to hold onto the one person she hoped would be her mother, before giving one loud mournful scream.
Beacon
Team JNPR Dorm Room
It had been four hours since they were told the story behind the masked vigilante, by the girl's own A.I. no less. And now, Team JNPR and RWBY were fighting to keep the girl on the bed on it, who had begun thrashing wildly in her sleep. They had already called Ozpin and Goodwitch for help, and were praying they would hurry up.
"Sprite! What's going on!? What do we do?!" Ruby asked, her tone showing her panic as clear as day, while trying to hold the clearly frantic Dorée down.
"This is new to me!" The A.I. said, concern for his partner clear, "She'd never been this aggressive when she dreamt!"
"Well that's just great!" Yang shouted as she helped Nora hold down one of Dorée's legs. "Now he tells us this!"
"I'd like to see YOU live one moment of her life and not come out of it mentally unscathed, Miss Xiao Long!" Sprite retorted, and Yang couldn't snap back due to helping her friends.
Pyrrha meanwhile was helping Jaune as they both held her shoulders and arms, the champion now greatly worried at seeing what was happening to her.
"Dorée! Dorée, please!" she begged, "You need to calm down!"
As soon as she said those words, Dorée all of a sudden just stopped thrashing altogether, causing confusion to come upon the students, with a few of them sighing in relief. Pyrrha watched as she still saw how her lips moved as she still heard her mumbling in her sleep.
"Phew...good it's over," Weiss managed to say, but Pyrrha heard a sound, before looking at one of Dorée's hands clenched tightly, the sound of her armored gloves giving it away. She then looked at her face and her eyes widened in horror as she saw her face scrunch in exertion, and a few tears leaking from under her eyelids.
Before she could even warn the others, the time traveler's eyes suddenly snapped wide open, followed by white, green tinted, flames surrounding her dilated, but fury filled eyes.
"AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGHHH!"
With that scream, the flames from the eyes suddenly turned into a shockwave and sent the students flying away from her and the bed, as well as making the entire room look like a tornado moved through it. Pyrrha groaned as she shook her head of the fogginess from the sudden explosion of power, before her eyes saw Dorée getting up and began making her way to the door of their Dorm, while subconsciously using her Polarity to summon her sword and shield to her as they clicked into place on her back.
Her eyes widened as she tried to stand up but her legs were slightly wobbly. She then raised her hand outstretched before calling out to her time traveling child.
"Dorée! No!"
But the time traveler didn't heed her, and just kept going, before making it to the door and escaping.
Not wanting her to just leave, Pyrrha, as quickly as she could, picked herself up as well and went after her.
She was not to be alone, as the Little Rose Reaper, as soon as she saw Pyrrha going after Dorée, immediately got up as well, before using her semblance to try and catch up with them.
It suddenly fell silent afterward, sans for the pain filled groans from the remaining students.
This was the sight that Glynda and Ozpin had arrived at.
"Gods...what happened here!?" the combat instructor said, as she and the Headmaster went to help the two teams as they regained their senses.
"Uggghhh...what the...what was that?" Blake groaned as she massaged her head.
"I've never seen anything like that!" Ren said as he shook his own head to get rid of the headache, "Was that...was that part of her semblance or something?"
"I've never heard of a semblance that involved flames around their eyes," Weiss said, which caught the attention of both Ozpin and Glynda making them look at her in stunned shock.
"Flames around her eyes?" the green wizard said, "Are you certain you saw that?"
The students looked at the two teachers, and their shocked expressions, and all of them felt a deep sense of unease.
"Y...yes. We all did," Weiss answered, and that made the two adults look at each other in extreme worry.
"Professor Ozpin?" said Weiss questioningly, as she stood up with help from Yang and Blake. "Professor Goodwitch? What's wrong?"
However, before the two could answer.
"Wait a minute! Where'd she go!?" Yang said and everyone looked to the bed and to their horror, saw that she was gone.
"Where's Pyrrha!?"
At Jaune's concerned query for his partner, they took notice of the champion's and then Ruby's absence as well.
"That dolt!" Weiss exclaimed, specifically about Ruby.
Cursing mentally, Ozpin turned to his Deputy.
"Glynda! Call Qrow, Oobleck, and Port, and have them search the grounds! We can't afford to let her escape!" he then turned to the students, "Everyone...I know that you have questions. But right now, I ask that you hold those questions until after we help Miss Nikos and Miss Rose get Dorée back."
The two sister teams didn't like the sound of that. But knowing time was of the essence, eventually both groups hesitantly nodded their heads, before they left the room with the two teachers in order to find their two members, and stop the time traveling daughter from getting away and possibly herself killed.
Hallway
Cardin Winchester, leader of Team CRDL, and his said team, were walking down a random hallway in the school after they had just had their breakfast. It had been over a month since Forever Fall, and since Jaune saved Cardin, whom was still a bit steamed at the fact, from being eaten by a Ursa Major, the team of bullies were contemplating who would be their next 'torment-for-fun toy' since the Paladin and his friends were now off limits.
"We could try that rabbit girl again?" Russel suggested, but Cardin immediately shot that down.
"No way in hell. Her team is now watching out for us like hawks, and I for one don't want to get clobbered upside the head by that fashionista's purse," The Winchester heir said with a shudder along with his team, as their minds went toward a certain shades-wearing beret girl with a designer purse that was WAY heavier than it looked.
"...Yeah, definitely don't want that," said Sky Lark before he perked up, "We can try picking on the nerds,"
"Nah, too easy," said Dove with a shake of his head, "We need someone with a bit more of a challenge to them,"
Just as he finished that, something caught Cardin's eye as he saw someone stumble from another hallway before catching themselves against a pillar, in order to keep themselves upright.
"Hey, you guys see that?" Cardin asked his teammates/goons who blinked as they looked toward where their leader was looking, as they spotted the same person, whom they saw was a girl...a real pretty one at that, considering what she was wearing.
"Yeah...who is she, though? I haven't seen her around here," asked Russel as he scratched his head curiously.
"Don't know..." said Sky, "...But dang, isn't she a looker."
The other boys couldn't deny what Sky said. The girl they were looking was indeed drop dead gorgeous, with a slender athletic frame, and that exotic red streaked blonde hair.
"Hey Gorg-," Russel began to say, but then his mouth was clamped shut by Cardin's large hand.
"Nah ah ah...I saw her first. That means I call dibs," he said, much to his three teammate's disappointment as they groaned, remembering the 'Dibs Rule'.
"Dammit," muttered Sky and Dove, while Russel didn't because of Cardin's hand still on his mouth before he moved it away, and a cocky smirk formed on his face.
"Good boys," he said, before he began walking toward the girl, who was trying to stay on her feet. "Hey babe, need a hand there?"
The girl didn't answer as she just groaned, her head still bowed as her body turned toward Cardin, her hair shadowing her eyes, while her teeth gritted in pain. The Winchester took no heed as he continued his approach.
"So hot stuff, what a pretty little thing like you doing-,"
A single heel jab to the chin stopped Cardin right there as his head jerked back, followed by a series of fast jabs to his arms, before finally being kicked in the stomach and knocked on his back. His team watched in horror as their leader went down, before Cardin tried get up.
"What... the hell... was that-!?" he tried to say, only for a 'boot to the face' to shut him up before he could even finish.
"SON OF A BITCH!" the three boys all shouted at once, as the Winchester Heir was knocked out cold.
The remaining members of CRDL couldn't believe what just happened. Cardin was not just their leader, and their overall tank of the team, and this girl just knocked him on his ass flat. Not wanting to let this stand the idiots decided to try to avenge their leader.
"Okay girl! I don't know what your deal is but you asked for it!" Russel shouted before he, along with Sky and Dove, attempt to charge at her...Keyword: attempt.
Before they could reach her, they suddenly stopped in their tracks as their armor glowed black.
"HEY! WHAT GIVES!?" Sky shouted as he attempted to move his arms.
"I CAN'T MOVE!" exclaimed Dove as he spoke out everyone's predicament.
The three boys looked at the girl, as her eyes were still covered in shadow, as she held hand up as it glowed the same black that was encompassing their armor. She then brought it back before jabbing it to the left, which resulted in all three of them being sent flying and slamming into a pillar each. Their aura protected them, but the force of the impact was still enough to knock them into dreamland, as they slumped to the floor, an occasional groan of pain being, before the girl continued on her path to find a way out.
As she left, Pyrrha arrived into the hallway, stopping as she spotted the outcold forms of Team CRDL, she was not alone as Ruby arrived seconds later.
"Pyrrha what's-... Oh no!" Ruby began to ask Pyrrha, only to gasp in shock at the knocked out Team of bullies.
Pyrrha thoughts were running rampant as she looked at the aftermath, knowing who was the possible culprit.
'This is bad...,' she thought to herself, '...if she's not stopped, anyone else is going to get seriously hurt, or worse!'
Her hearing then caught the sound of feet walking and she looked up and managed to catch a glimpse of familiar armor as it just turned the corner down the hall. Eyes widening in recognition, she immediately bolted after the escapee. Ruby noticed this as she followed after her
"Pyrrha! Wait up!"
Near Combat Arena
"I swear Vel, if that jerk and his little goons bother you again, they're gonna get a beating they'll never forget." said a certain beret wearing fashionista as she, and three were walking down the hall to the locker room after their training session. Meanwhile, the one she was talking to, a brunette, bunny eared faunus, only sighed.
"Coco, please. I know I don't look it, but I can handle myself," said Velvet Scarlatina, "You and the boys don't need to worry so much about me,"
A large hand places itself on her shoulder, causing to look at the swordsman and heavy hitter of their team, Yatsuhashi.
"We're a team, Velvet," Yatsu said, "And it's our job as teammates to look after one another...especially you,"
Their last teammate, Fox Alistair, only nodded as his head remained forward due to his...condition.
Before Velvet could make a reply, one of her rabbit ears twitched, and she looked back ahead of them before stopping, much to her team's confusion and concern.
"Someone's coming...and by the sound of it, whoever it is, is in bad shape," she said, and just when she finished, the person she heard stumbled into their line of sight from another hall. Team CFVY (sans Fox) could see her swerving around erratically, looking disoriented.
The upperclassmen students were taken aback by the arrival of the strange girl before them, as all of them looked at her with various looks of confusion and surprise.
"Who in the world...?" Coco exclaimed as she lowered her glasses down to get a better look at her. "Does~ anybody know her?"
Everyone shook their heads negatively, as they continued to look at the strange girl that appeared before them. The said person looking as if she'll collapse at any moment, this was picked by Velvet as she began to walk cautiously forward. It takes her a few moments before she manages to walk within three feet of the girl.
"H-Hey...are you alright?," she spoke out, and the reaction was unexpected for them as the girl suddenly gasps before her hand swiftly reaches for the sword on her back, and swings it down toward a wide eyed Velvet...
*CLANG!*
...Only for it to clash with that of Yatsuhashi's own sword, Fulcrum. The large statured boy then used his strength to push the clearly crazed girl back away from his partner, sending her off balance and onto the floor, as he stood protectively in front of Velvet. The other two members of Team CVFY came to their teammates defense as they brandished their weapons, thankful they hadn't put them away yet.
"Vel! You okay!?" Coco said in concern, while the rabbit faunus just nervously nodded her head. The leader of the team then turned back to the lunatic who tried to gut her friend. She managed to get herself back up, sword still in hand as she shook her head to get rid of the dizziness before staring at the team and giving a VERY feral like growl.
Coco's eyes narrowed to slits before calling out to her.
"Alright, who the hell are you!?" She demanded, "And what's your deal, huh!?"
The only response she got was another feral growl, before she entered in a somewhat guarded stance, causing the 2nd Years to tense up in anticipation for an attack...
"NO! DON'T!" a new voice shouted, causing the senior team to blink in confusion, "Get away from her!"
They looked behind the girl and spotted none other than Pyrrha Nikos, along with Ruby Rose right behind her as they raced down from the hallway that the girl came from.
"Hey, what the hell-!?" Coco began but was cut off by the red hooded prodigy, who looked at them pleadingly.
"Just stay there!" Ruby said, "She's not feeling well! Let us handle it!"
The leader of CVFY, along with her teammates only looked in confusion as they watched as the girl looked toward the newcomers and gave another feral like as the grip on her sword tightened.
"Dorée...," Pyrrha said softly, but loud enough for the girl, "Please stop. I won't hurt you,"
Dorée only answered with a glazed glare, as she lifted her sword into a guard position.
"Dorée please!"
The girl actually flinched at that voice before turning her gaze to the Rose Reaper as she calmly and slowly approached as well
"It's alright, we just want to help you," Ruby said, and she saw Dorée's eyes light up in recognition, "That's right, it's me. Your Aunt Ruby,"
Dorée just stood there where she was as she watched the form of the younger Rose change right in front of her into a more familiar person. One slightly taller, and dressed in a light gray blouse, a red pleated skirt, and a black corset and fingerless gloves, completed with a choker and a red hood cape. Her hair was choppy and somewhat more spiky, but still had the black root and tip colors she knew all too well, as well as her silver eyes.
The woman looked at her with a motherly smile, as Dorée looked back at her as a smile began to form on her lips, only for it to quickly vanished, as a wall of flames appeared before it was blown away, revealing a new scene, as the woman looked at her, silver eyes glistening with tears as she looked at her with a solemn, but still loving, smile as a pair of sliding metal doors proceeded to close, as multiple Grimm approached, killing intent all too noticeable in their soulless red eyes.
"Survive, Dorée...," was the only thing she said before the doors closed.
Dorée could only look on in horror, before she raised her hands to her head before she began to whimper, causing everyone around to back up slightly.
"Dorée?" Pyrrha said in concern, before she and Ruby jumped as the girl suddenly began a series of blood curdling screaming, before she began swinging the sword around her.
"Dorée! STOP!" Ruby tried to call out to her, but the clearly hysterical girl didn't hear her, as the swinging began to get wilder and wilder, before it looked like she might injure someone...
*BAM!*
...Before a fist, with the owner being a familiar lilac-eyed blonde, socked the girl in the face, sending her flying backwards and crashing to the floor, causing the sword in her hand to fly out of her grasp and clatter to the floor, next to Pyrrha's feet. Dorée then tried to get back up, only to be suddenly pulled into a full Nelson-hold, causing her to begin thrashing around.
"Hey! Hold still!" Yang shouted as he tried to hold onto the time traveler, only for the response to be more thrashing, just as the others arrived, "DAMMIT! STOP IT! HEY, SOMEBODY GIVE ME A HAND HERE!?"
The response was immediate as Team CVFY, along with a quickly approaching Nora rushed over to help Yang with holding the girl down, as the other arriving members of Team JNPR and Team RWBY, along with Goodwitch went to check on their respective teammates, as Pyrrha knelt down and carefully picked up the sword. She looked at the blade as her reflection stared solemnly back at her. She turned her head back toward the pile of human bodies, hearing Dorée's blood chilling screaming as she tried to fight her way free, her eyes still maintaining the flames that surrounded them.
"All of you! Hold her still!" she heard Glynda shout as she approached the struggling students as they held her down, a BaitGun, with a syringe inplace, in her hand.
"Easier said than done!" Yang shouted, before being headbutted in the face, but thankfully her aura protected her... "Ow!"
...But of course, she still felt that
"Just keep her still while I administer this sedative!" The combat teacher told them, she gave the syringe a flick and shot a small stream from the needle to make sure it was working "It should keep her asleep for hours!"
With that said, she knelt down and pulled down the collar of Dorée's battle dress before inserting the needle into her neck, eliciting a wince from her, before Glynda squeezed the trigger and injected the sedative into her, it took just ten seconds before the flames around Dorée's eyes flickered away and the said organs drooped before they closed entirely. Her body went limp causing those holding her to sigh in relief and let her go. Yang gently placed the again out cold girl on the floor, before standing up to rub her forehead where the back of the time traveler's head hit her.
"Aura or not...but DANG, that hurt!"
No one reacted immediately to that as almost everyone all breathed a sigh of relief that it was over for now. However, the ones not relieved, but were still troubled were Pyrrha and Ruby as they looked upon the girl. The former's growing protective instincts going into haywire, while the latter's concern for her honorary niece grows by the second.
Jaune looked at his partner with his own before placing a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look at him.
"Pyrrha? You okay?" he said softly, but loud enough for her to hear. Pyrrha didn't respond immediately before she turned back toward the now unconscious Dorée, before looking back at the sword in her hands.
"No...," she said, her voice just as soft, with a tinge of sadness, "...No I'm not,"
Another hand placed itself on her free shoulder, she turned and saw the Rose Reaper looking at her with the same expression on her face.
"You're not the only one," she said.
This view was seen by Ozpin as he arrived with Qrow in tow, before he sighed sadly.
'Even though she's from a different time, and birthed by artificial means...a mother's love for their child is not that hard to notice,' he thought before looking at the said girl with a solemn look, before turning to Qrow.
"Qrow," he said, getting the veteran's attention, "Please take her to one of the unoccupied dorms, that are as close to Team RWBY and Team JNPR's own dorms as possible. But make sure she's well restrained. We don't want another repeat of this incident,"
The drunk crow sighed before nodding.
"Got it, Oz," he said before heading over to where the girl was, before kneeling down, picking her up, and began walking to the said location.
"Professor...," he heard Weiss' voice speak up, and he turned to the said Heiress who, along with everyone looked at him with questioning stares.
"What exactly was it that had you worried when we spoke about her eyes?" she asked, and everyone looked to him, all but CVFY waiting for him to give an answer, while the senior student team just looked on confused.
Ozpin gave another tired sigh. Truth be told, he knew this secret would come out sooner or later.
He looked at the students and was about to answer them before his scroll began beeping, announcing that someone was calling, causing to groan in frustration. A sentiment shared among the young students.
"I will tell you all...soon." he said, "But not here, we don't know who else may be watching, and they might not have the best interest for Dorée,"
That wasn't exactly the answer that they wanted, but they all gave hesitant nods at that.
