Summary: Zoro looks for Nami and finds her working on her maps...or so he thinks. Takes place anytime after Alabasta.

"Oi, have you seen Nami anywhere?" Zoro asked Usopp after getting up from his afternoon nap. The crew was well-aware of Zoro and Nami's relationship so it wasn't odd for the swordsman to ask about his girlfriend's whereabouts.

"Oh uhhh, I think she's-" "Honestly what kind of boyfriend doesn't spend time with their clearly far too good and much better half?" Sanji said interrupting Usopp.

"Eh?! Come down here and say that to my face swirly-brow!" Zoro snapped back. To Zoro he figured he wouldn't drown Nami with attention, she needs some time for herself sometimes as well. Sanji took a long drag from his cigarette before replying to Zoro. Nobody heard Usopp in the background as he was promptly ignored.

"She's in her room mapping out her maps you know, seriously you should know her routine at this point," Sanji said before going back to his cigarette. Zoro ignored the jab and walked to her room. He didn't knock since he saw Robin on the lawn deck reading her book just now. He opened the door quietly and saw Nami hunched over her desk sitting on her chair. He walked in and was about to call out her name to get her attention until he heard something...or someone. It was coming from Nami's direction and when he focused his hearing he was able to make it out to be...snoring?

Nami was asleep on her desk.

Zoro sighed and walked over to her without making a sound. Sure enough, Nami's eyes were closed and her lips were slightly parted. Her hair was sprawled out and Zoro noticed she was using her arm as a type of pillow. She wouldn't wake up with a weak arm on his watch. Zoro very carefully lifted Nami's head with one hand and used the other to lift the chair with her on it. He moved it back farther until it was in the middle space between the edge of her bed and her desk.

He placed her down with complete silence and kept his hand under her cheek. He slowly brought his hand down along with her cheek before they separated. He looked her over and made out the wrinkles in her clothes and faint bags under her eyes. His Witch was overworking herself for no good reason and he didn't like it one bit. He looked down toward her legs which had her legs dangling in the air aside from her toes. He placed his hand under her knees with one arm and stuffed his other one in a space between her back and the chair. She mumbled slightly and Zoro looked at her warily, silently hoping she wouldn't wake up. She didn't and he waited a couple more seconds before he swiftly hoisted her up from the chair.

He made no sound and his movement didn't cause her discomfort in the slightest. He eyed her bed and walked toward it, paying mind to the sounds beneath his feet. Once there, he crouched down to pull the blanket back with the hand under her knees still. When he was satisfied with the distance, he carefully placed Nami in the bed lying on her back. He then pulled the blanket back up to cover her small frame and looked at his handiwork, not too shabby if he said so himself.

He glanced back at Nami and noticed the new faint smile plastered on her face. Zoro didn't know what overcame him at that moment but he then found himself hunched over, pushing aside the random strays of hair off her face and kissing Nami on her forehead. Not only that, he even licked his thumb and wiped away a smudge of ink that tainted her silky skin. No one would expect this sort of thing from a demon like him, not even Nami herself.

"Goodnight Nami," Zoro said, noticing the slight hoarseness in his voice. He walked toward the door of her room and turned the handle before glancing back at Nami who was sleeping peacefully on her bed. For a moment he wondered if he should slip in the covers with her and fall asleep as well. He shook the idea away, he still had a workout session to take care of. He opened the door and left it half-open for his arm to turn off the lights.

"Sweet dreams," he said before shutting the door. This peaceful moment he caused disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. It was all broken by a snicker behind him from the cook himself.

He guessed he must've said that out loud.

"Ohhh? So the sword lover is capable of being a sap huh?" Sanji teased. Zoro hated that he let it slip and couldn't fight down the slight red glow coming from his ears.

"S-shut up, and don't you tell anyone about this got it?" Zoro said, refusing to turn around.

"Oh yeah no problem, Robin was telling us the whole time," Sanji replied coolly. I turned and gawked when I saw the whole crew looking at me. I glared at Robin specifically and she had the nerve to politely smile at me. I huffed and placed a hand in my hair.

"Tch, I see," I admitted glumly. I wouldn't hear the end of this from the guys later at night I thought glumly as I headed over to the Crow's Nest. Said guys were already heading off to bed as I arrived at the Crow's Nest. I was just about to start climbing up until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Oi...keep taking care of her," Sanji said looking at me seriously. I and Sanji fought constantly, so it wasn't uncommon for me to keep my focus on him and his eyes, erm, eye. This time, it was a new look on him. One that was not a look of giving up Nami no, instead, it was one of acceptance and I understood the message perfectly.

"Tch, took you long enough dartbrow. You should know I would never want to intentionally hurt her," I said before climbing up the Crow's Nest.

"You better keep your word, otherwise I'll swoop in and make her fall in love with my arms!" Sanji jabbed. To most men, a comment like that would start a brawl no doubt. To Zoro, it was just a stroke to his ego.

"Yeah, I'll make sure she stays in a set of arms all right, my arms," Zoro called down before he closed the hatch door. Once he was completely alone, he took time to ponder on his relationship with Nami. He then thought about his interactions with her and his daily routine

-Sighs- "It's the same thing every day," Zoro mumbled before picking up his dumbbell. He felt another presence disappear from the room and looked around warily. He glanced everywhere and didn't notice anything had moved or disappeared from the Crow's Nest.

"...It was probably nothing," Zoro said before he began to count. Robin as curious as she was, had summoned an ear to hear Zoro make any comments on her fellow navigator. She did ask him too after all.

"So, did he say anything?" Nami asked fully awake. She looked at Robin with a look of longing, almost pleading her to tell her anything.

"I'm afraid not miss Navigator," Robin said. Nami being a master at concealing her emotions wasn't able to hide the crestfallen look in her eyes.

"Oh okay," Nami said turning back around to sleep once more.

"...Only that he seemed to reflect more on his routine saying 'It's the same thing every day," Robin said. Nami didn't shift or move at Robin's words.

"Yeah you're probably right, goodnight Robin," Nami said without a hint of sadness.

"Sweet dreams Nami," Robin said shutting off her lamp. In actuality, Robin's guess was only half right. Although it was true that Zoro was doing his routine, it wasn't the one she was referring to.

Nami smiled as she remembered Zoro carrying her off to her bed with the most gentle and caring manner he could manage with those rough and calloused hands of his. Oh, how she loved that routine of his whenever she purposely fake slept for Zoro to carry her to bed.

"Sweet dreams, Zoro" Nami answered back happily before falling asleep once more.

A/N: Update to the guest's request, I will make your suggested story a follow-up to the next story I'll add. The next story will be a wholesome lemon about Zoro and Nami talking about and then conceiving their baby. I hope you don't dislike it and after that, I will do the suggested story about Nami and her pregnancy. I obviously had a vague idea when writing about Nami going through her pregnancy at some point but just didn't write it since I didn't know how to go at it. Thanks to you I have a good idea as to how I will handle the story. All grammar mistakes belong to me unfortunately and goodbye.
