HI! I finished watching the Harry Potter movies. (Spoiler from HP sorry-)FHOW COULD THEY KILL DOBBY?! Ok now I'm fine. Anyway here is the next chapter. I'm sorry to people who live with snow if what I wrote isn't right. I haven't seen snow since I was 4 and I've never had a snowball fight. This is all imagination, books, and movies as reference so sorry if it's not right.
Keefe POV:
By the time Foster came running at us Fawn and Amaline were both making snow angels. "Hey Foster you've finally come." I said waving her over. Alex and Lukas had been making snowballs claiming that they were "for us".
"Sorry...had to...help…sister..homework." She panted. Fawn and Amaline got up from their snow angels and started to whisper to each other. "Well okay," I said clapping my hands, "Sophie we have decided that we are going to do a snowball fight, you, me and Fawn wi-" I was cut off "Hold up. Why do you get to be on Sophie's team?" asked Alex.
" Do you want to be on her team?" inquired Lucas.
"N-no," His face started to get red, "I just don't think that it's fair that Keefe gets to pick the teams." As he finished Fawn and Amaline shouted "GIRLS VS BOYS!"
Sophie, Fawn and Amaline ran towards the forest. We started to follow them into the woods, following the footprints until we stopped in a clearing. "ATTACK!" said a voice from behind a tree, launching snowballs at us . "Aww man" said Lucas as he was hit by one of the snowballs. I started to make snowballs to fight back when I heard the twigs being snapped. "Go," Alex said, throwing a snowball at Fawn's chest but just missing her by an inch."I'll handle them." I nodded hoping that he would be alright . I started running to where the sound had come from. I ran for a while until I was sure that they had gone somewhere else. I started to jog back to the playground to snow ball more of my friends when I heard a noise. Snap. I looked around and saw Sophie barreling towards me with a snowball aimed at my head. I turned and ran faster toward the edge of the forest. I must have taken a wrong turn because I ended up in the clearing where I saw Sophie. Suddenly I saw her again running at me but instead of throwing her snowball she tripped on a root from a tree and came crashing down on me. For a fraction of a second her face was so close to mine that I could feel her breath on my cheek. She got up quickly and blushed but it soon vanished. I got up from the cold snow. "You cheated didn't you." I accused brushing the snow out of my hair.
"It depends on what you call cheating," she said, smirking.
"You should look where you're running Foster or you could trip over someone."
She blushed "I think I already did. Oh and by the way," she made a snowball and threw it at me, "girls win."
"Man,you got me, but how do you know that Alex is out?" I asked,
She pointed to the woods "Fawn and Amaline's minds are really loud and apparently they are saying that they just got Alex."
I groaned, "1 for Foster, 0 for Hunkyhair." She laughed which made my heart flutter a little. I sunk into her beautiful gold flecked brown eyes. Her blonde hair had a dusting of snow and… Get a grip Keefe, I thought mentally slapping myself.
"Well we better start heading back or Fawn will hunt us down." She said brushing the snow from her jacket. I nodded and we walked out of the clearing.
Sophie POV:
"There you are," said Amaline as Keefe and I entered the chaotic playground, "so who won?" "I'm dead," said Keefe sighed, raising his hand.
"YES! I knew we could do it," shouted Fawn jumping up and down. "Wanna play again?"
Our shouts of "Sure" and "Bring it on" brought other kids from our class running over. "What are you guys doing?" a kid from my math class asked.
"Snowball fight," said Fawn
"Say no more, I'm in." We were deciding how we should play but soon Lucas
Groaned , "This is taking forever." Then someone in the crowd shouted "EVERY MAN FOR THEMSELVES!" Then all chaos broke out. Kids were hiding behind trees, bushes and other kids. I was trying to get Keefe but somehow he always anticipated when I was throwing. "YOU'LL NEVER GET ME FOSTER!" He cackled, throwing five snowballs at an alarming speed. Just as he ran out of ammo I was ducked down to grab more snow but not looking up, someone dumped a huge pile of cold snow. Fawn was cracking up and almost fell over. "Nice one Fawn." said Keefe giving her a thumbs up
"Oh come on!" I said trying to brush the snow out of my jacket.
"That...was...amazing!" gasped Fawn between laughs.
"I know! The look on her face!" bursted out Keefe grabbing Fawn's arm to keep them from falling. While they were laughing their heads off I got up and shoveled snow into my arms. I threw the snow and it fell on both Keefe and Fawn. "There now we're even." I dusted off my hands. Soon after that I was in another snowball fight with Keefe and Fawn but soon it turned to a girls vs Keefe game. "Oh come on this isn't fair!" He said as me and Fawn threw more at him. "Life isn't fair!" shouted Fawn. I couldn't help but laugh. A few minutes later Alex and Lucas had come to Keefe's rescue. "RETREAT!" I said running away from them.
Keefe POV:
After another 20 minutes of fighting we all collapsed next to the swings. Amaline had to leave for the day. Suddenly Jessie and Max came dragging John and his sister Laila. John and Laila were Jessie and Max's best friends. They were also twins, the only others in our town. Laila sat next to Fawn, "FAWN! They stole my book. My stupid brother didn't even do anything. Can you believe it? I thought I could trust him but noooo he betrays me with those monsters. Percy and Annabeth were just about to admit they love each other! Do you know how long I've waited for this? Four books. FOUR!" Sophie, Alex, and Lucas were shocked at how many words came out of her mouth. "Those monsters, we'll think of something to get them back," Fawn said evilly, "No one, and I mean NO ONE stops Percy and Annabeth." Max, Jessie and John looked at each other worriedly,"We didn't mean too. We just wanted John and Laila to meet Sophie. Honestly. But she wouldn't move." Sophie looked up surprised, "You risked the wrath of a reader to say hi to me?" The boy's little heads bobbed up and down. Lucas, John, and Max started a monkey bar contest. "No matter how old they are they just can't resist a competition," a voice from behind us said. Jessie whipped around nervously, "Emma! Olivia! We weren't hiding from you. We were just umm..." Two girls looked down at us. The one on the right was dressed in a yellow parka, her dark brown hair peeking out of her hood and leather boots, the other one was wearing an insulated jacket and a cream beanie covering most of her curly brown hair. They both had brown eyes and tan completions even though we barely saw the sun. Olivia crossed her arms, "You guys know we have to watch you or else your parents are going to kill us. The last time we lost you, you got lost in the mall for two hours." Laila grabbed the bottom of Emma's parka and asked, "Can we pleeeassseee build a snowman?" Emma turned around with a questioning look, Olivia shrugged, "What's the worst she could do to you?"
"You're lucky you don't live with them." Emma sighed. Sophie looked at me shocked, "They're like the triplets."
"Ya but instead of three they're four tiny hurricanes." I retorted. Olivia got up and grabbed Jessie. "Come on let's let the big kids talk without you interrupting every five seconds."
"But I did nothing. I'm a victim. It was all them," Jessie said pointing to Max and Jon on the monkey bars and Laila building with Emma.
Lucas came back victorious from his contest and we all got up. Sophie was telling Alex something when she tripped. I reached out to help but Alex grabbed her arm first and hauled her back up. "Thanks," Sophie said blushing, "Sorry,I'm so clumsy." Alex realised he was still holding her arm turned red and let go. "It's ok. Normally I'm the clumsiest. It's nice to not be the only one." From being around humans for a while I had more control over feeling people's emotions, but I could feel how much Alex liked Sophie. His emotions were so big he might as well just held up a big sign. I didn't know I was staring until Lucas elbowed me in the arm. "What are you doing?" I quickly looked away. Laila walked over from the snowman and we all stopped walking. "Hey Sophie. You have a pretty name, you know that." She blushed.
"Thanks Laila, though I think Sophie is a really common name."
"Hey, can I tell you something?" Before Sophie could talk she said, "You know you should read Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It's a good book, it's about this boy who finds out he's a demigod and then goes to thi-" Fawn covered her mouth with her hand "Shush! You'll spoil the best part. But Sophie you really should read it, it's a good book. I think there's a copy of it in the library."
"Or you could borrow mine" offered Laila
"Thanks. I'll think about it."
"Okay, Laila they need to go now," Emma called from their half made snowman.
"Finnnee," She said, sulking back to Emma.
"See you later Keefe," said Max, joining Emma and Laila. As we left the park I saw Them dragging the sets of twins together.
Thank you linhsong22 and SOKEEFE for reviewing.
