Hello everyone! I am SO SORRY for the late update, I am going to try updating every Wednesday but I had a lot of things happen to me this last week. A lot on my mind that's got me worried but don't worry I am going to try to focus on this because writing this and seeing your reviews always makes me happy. Well, on with the chapter.

Chapter 6

(Luffy POV 1st person)

I was walking down the hallway on my way to the slave manager's office with Hansuke right in front of me.

So maybe I should explain. I woke up pretty early, to be honest, I did not sleep with excitement for today. It was already light outside and the weather was perfect. I enjoyed the peace and watched the flowers flow in the wind or listening to the birds singing. Then Hansuke walks up towards the cage. And this is a rare occurrence. No one comes to the garden other than me and Derek. So having him come, and this early in the morning, something important must be happening. I glanced at him then looked away thinking It was Derek here giving me my assignments for the day. Only to do a double-take. Then he spoke. "Luffy I need you to follow me." of course Hansuke has a set of keys of his own. He unlocked the cage and led me towards the hallway.

And here we are, mulling over what would be so important for him to come to my cage in the garden. While I silently think of all the things I have done wrong in my time here we end up at the slave manager's office. Hansuke knocked and we waited for Derek to come out. He came out with a confused face. Even he was not aware of what was happening. "Master Hansuke! Is something the matter?" Derek asked confused. "Hello Derek, I have a request. I want Luffy here to be my new main entertainment for my nightly duties."

…

What? What does he mean by nightly duties? Like helping him go to sleep. Singing lullabies? I turned to Derek to see him blushing bright red. Is he sick? "S-s-sir I am not s-s-sure that is a good idea. She seems pretty young." Derek said nervously. "Oh, Derek I don't mean like that." Hansuke said. Mean what? I'm so confused. "I meant when I visited the boys, or when they come to visit. She can sing, wear good outfits, please them but not in that way." I looked at him with wide eyes. What does he mean? Will I be able to get enough sleep? Sing every night, in front of other people. "And I don't want her to have to work during the day. She will need as much energy as she has for the boys." Hansuke said with a sly smirk. Okay, what is he planning now?

"We can do that sir," Derek said and he started writing stuff down on his notebook he always carries. "Good now take her back to her cell." And with that Hansuke left. "Okay let's get you back to your cage." And we left. Now that I think about it Derek acts a lot like a butler. He has been here for a long time. And he always follows Hansuke when he goes on trips. I remember back at my old master's house he always accompanied Hansuke. They must go way back, are they friends?

We already made it back and he pushed me into the cage. He closed the door and locked it. "Okay, from now on you will only have to work for master Hansuke in the nights. I will come and pick you up at 8 pm every day. We will supply you with songs every day when we bring you breakfast. You are to use this new time to memorize the songs and come up with some dances to come with the songs. Before we leave I will give you the costumes he wants you to wear. You will be able to change back when I bring you back after. You got that, good. I will be back later here are your songs." and with that, he was gone.

Okay, this is probably not going to end well. And what were they talking about earlier? Maybe I can ask Ace.

ACE.

I almost forgot he was coming with all this stuff happening. I wonder what time he will be showing up. And I have more time to hang out with him. I can't wait to tell him. Well, let's get through these songs. I wonder how long these hangouts will be with the other nobles. Well, I should get through these songs now.

(Ace POV 1st person)

I was heading to the dining room for breakfast when pops called out to me. I walked towards him. I wonder what he wants to talk about, he seemed pretty serious. "Is something the matter Pops?" I asked. "I was just wondering how you have been doing, you went missing yesterday all day. No one could find you." Pops asked worriedly. I looked shocked and blushed a little as Luffy's face came to mind. "Oh don't worry pops I was not doing anything bad that could hurt me or get me in trouble." I was hoping he would not see my blush but luck was not on my side. He twirled his mustache and looked away for a bit. "I also heard that you met a girl, how's that going?"

I blushed even more. Someone told him about that! I am going to KILL the person who told him this lie. "No, it is nothing like that we are friends and friends only! Who told you that!" I screamed at him with a very deep blush that I tried and failed to push down. He looked at me with a face that said 'are-you-sure'. I blushed even more if that was possible. "Oh everyone is talking about it. Lil o' Ace has found himself a Lil girlfriend." WHAT! "I-I-I n-need t-to g-g-o n-now." I stammered, dammit. "Oh to see this girl." He teased. "NO!" and I ran away.

Man all these people are nosy. Yes, I met this girl, but that does not mean she is my girlfriend. We can be just friends with no romantic feelings involved. Yes, my face heats up when I think of her but that only happens because … because…

Wait why do I blush? This never happened before. Okay, I just need to get something to eat. I finally got to the dining room and got something to eat. I was on my way to a table where Marco and Thatch sat. I slammed my tray on the table and yelled, "OKAY WHO TOLD POPS ABOUT THE GIRL, AND WHAT YOU SAID WAS A LIE!" they both turned to me with confused faces at first then they started smiling. "Is it a lie though-yoi?" Marco asked. Yes, yes it is Marco. "Yeah you did meet a girl and you did go missing yesterday so was it really a lie?" Thatch added with a sly smirk. "Yes, it is because Luffy is just a friend." I replied back, what do they know? I only have known her for 2 days and they are thinking we're dating. "Oh so her name is Luffy-yoi." Marco said pretty slowly. I froze, shi- did I say her name. "Who is Luffy? That sounds kinda like a boy's name." Vista said as he walked over. "Oh, just the name of the girl Ace has been hanging out with." Thatch said with a teasing smirk. "Oh the mystery girl, so Ace what's she like." Vista said as he sat down next to Ace.

As I was trying to push my blush down I said, "How many times do I have to keep saying, WE ARE JUST FRIENDS. Okay! So if you will excuse me I have to go." I got up and tried to walk away. "Oh, when are we going to meet this girl, Ace?" Namur asked when he walked by me towards the table. "NEVER!" and with that, I ran away. I left the Ship before any more teasing can happen. As I was walking down the street I remembered that I was going back to visit Luffy again. I felt a small blush come to my face with a small smile. Hey maybe I should get her something to eat, the food she had yesterday did not look very appetizing. I made my way to a restaurant that my brothers said tasted good. I got her something to eat and was heading to the forest when I remembered I promised to sing her some new songs that she never heard. I felt another blush, I am blushing a lot today. Why did I agree to this?

Oh, right the puppy dog eyes of doom. How could I forget.

Okay, what song might she like? I could try Bink's Sake but that song is pretty old and she might have already heard it. Okay how about Bruno Mars, you can't go wrong with him. How about That's what I like. I think she might like that. I got closer to the garden when I remembered that she might have some stuff to do right now. I could just wait in the forest if she is not there. I crept up behind the bush making sure no one was there when I saw her. She was sitting reading something on paper mumbling to herself. Adorable. I looked around double-checking, making sure no one was there. I looked back again and it seemed like she was too distracted to notice I was there.

Heh, maybe I can scare her a bit.

(No one's POV 3rd person)

Ace sneaked up towards the cage making no sound. He had a big grin on his face. Luffy on the other hand was too busy looking at her song list to pay attention. Ace slowly, quietly, sat down criss-cross looking directly in front of Luffy. He took a deep breath and yelled, "HEY LU!". He laughed as poor Luffy jumped and looked frantically at where the noise came from. Her eyes spotted Ace and she took a deep breath. "You scared me Ace!" She yelled and pouted a bit. Cute Ace thought when he saw her pout. He cleared his throat and looked her directly in her eyes. "I have a surprise for you." He said and gave her a big grin. Her eyes showed a little surprise while she asked "what is it?" He pulled out the bag of food and the milkshake. She looked at him confused and tilted her head a bit.

"This is for you." He said as he pushed her food closer to the bars. "Oh, You did not have to do that." She said and her hands in front of her. "I wanted to. I saw what you've been eating yesterday and I thought that you might want something better." He said with a big grin. "Are you sure I can have this?" She asked skeptically. While looking at the container. "Yes just eat it." He said and pushed it even closer to her. She opened the container and an aroma of deliciousness just wafted in front of her. Her stomach grumbled in response. She blushed deeply and looked down at the food, avoiding all eye contact. Ace chuckled at her cuteness and continued looking at her like she was the most adorable thing in the world. (And yes Luffy is the most adorable thing in the world!)

She looked and saw some takoyaki. Her mouth immediately watered. She started eating them at a slow pace, savoring all of the flavors. Ace pushed the strawberry milkshake towards her and she brought it in her cage. "You know I should have brought you some of the food Thatch made. It is a lot better I swear." He said regretting not bringing some of Thatch's food. "Who's Thatch?" Luffy asked with food still in her mouth. She may not eat as fast as before but she still does not have any manners whatsoever. "Thatch is my brother. He is a cook on my crew. On my crew, we treat each other as family." Ace replied with a smile.

"If it is not too much to ask can you tell me about some of them? You seem pretty happy when you talk about them." Luffy said with a small smile. Ace's face just lit up, and Luffy's smile got bigger. "Okay! We have tons of people on the crew. But let me tell you about two of my brothers I always hang out with. They also went to the party. I'm sure you saw them when I was leaving. Thatch, the cook whose food I want you to try, had brownish-orangish hair an-" Luffy's eyes flashed some recognition of that hair color. "Does he have a weird haircut and a scar going around his left eye?" She asked with curious eyes. "Why yes that's him, he does have a weird haircut, doesn't he? And the other is Marco, he has blonde hair."

"Oh, the one that looked like a pineapple, right?" There was silence. Ace's hair shadowed his eyes. Uh oh did I say something bad? Luffy thought a little worried she offended her new friend. They were in silence for about another minute till Ace bent over and started laughing hysterically. Luffy stared at him while he laughed for a bit then she joined him, with her unique adorable giggle. "Shishishi" They laughed for a couple of minutes till they started to calm down. "OH MY GOSH, I've never notest that before. He DOES look like a pineapple doesn't he." they laughed again just imagining Marco's head swapped with a pineapple.

Far away on the moby dick, Marco sneezes. "You okay man" Thatch asked. "Yeah somebody must be talking bad about me."

"Thatch is a really good cook, and he and I pull pranks on everyone all the time. And Marco is such a mama bird, he watches over everyone making sure we don't do dumb stuff. And we can NEVER prank Marco, not unless you want an early death." he said happily. "They sound like great people, why don't you tell me about some of these pranks you have done with Thatch." Luffy asked with a small smile. "Oh, there was this time when …" and they talked for a couple of hours of different pranks Ace has done with Thatch.

After a while, Ace stopped talking. "I think I hear some footsteps." They looked at each other for a couple of seconds till they registered what that meant. Ace got up and hid while Luffy made sure no evidence of Ace was there. Derek walked in a couple of minutes later with a plate of food in his hand. "I hope you have been practicing those songs for tonight. Here is your lunch and dinner, you won't have enough time to eat before you leave for what Master Hansuke has planned for you." and with that, he left. After they waited till they were sure he was gone, Ace came back out.

"What did he mean by doing something later?" Ace asked. "Oh um, the master has something new planned for me to do. He said that I don't have to do anything during the day with this, but I have to do something as entertainment for his friends. He said something about 'nightly duties' but I don't know what he means by that." Luffy said as she tilted her head a bit. Ace stared at her with wide eyes as he felt his blood boil. Does that mean what I think that means? Is he going to make her do that? Ace thought. "He wants me to learn some songs, dress up and go with him later. Oh, now that I think about it I should really practice these songs. Oh! Did you get a song for me to hear?" she asked him with a little excitement in her voice. Ace froze at that, he totally forgot he had to sing.

He wanted to tell her that maybe it was not a good idea when a flash of her puppy dog eyes came into his mind. Yup, that's a no-go. I can just sing the song and get it over with, I really hope I don't sound bad. Ace thought. He was about to tell her about the song when she interrupted him. She saw the uneasiness in his eyes. "Oh I know, why don't I sing a song to you for practice then you sing your song to me," she asked him with hopeful eyes. How can he say no to those eyes? "Sure let's do that." he said with a shy smile. "Great, I will go then. Um, the song is called Toxic, Have you heard of it?"

"Maybe."

"Okay here I go." she got up and took a deep breath. Then she started singing.

She looked at Ace to see his reaction. He had his mouth agape and his eyes wide. "Did it sound good?" she asked, a little nervous. "Y-y-yes." he stuttered. He almost forgot how good of a singer she was. "Okay, your turn." She said as she sat down. "R-right. Um, this song is a famous song called That's What I Like. I might not sound good just warning you." he said to her with a look that said this might not end well. "That's fine, I'm sure you are going to be great," she said as she gave him 2 thumbs up. "Okay, here I go." He took a deep breath and started singing.

Luffy looked at him with wide eyes. He turned to her a little nervous not understanding the look she was giving him. After a couple of seconds, her eyes turned into stars and she jumped up. "That was amazing Ace. You are really really good." he blushed at her praise. "Th-th-thanks." "Do you want to hear another song?" she asked. "Sure" she kept practicing with him as the time flew by. Before they realized it the sun was going down.

"It's getting late, I think I'm going to have to leave soon. Are you going to be coming back?" she said as she started getting her stuff together. "Yes, I would like to be coming back if that is fine with you." He said with a smile. "Of course, having you here makes my day a little better, Thank you," she said with a small smile. "It's my pleasure.". "Hey, with my new schedule we can spend the whole day together and I won't have to worry about leaving." she told him excitedly. "Well, I should get going, till tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." and with that, she saw him leave through the bushes. But what she did not know was that he did not really leave.

So that's the chapter. Again I am so sorry for the long wait. I do want to try posting once a week. Well, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I have some plans for this series and others, I might skip some interactions with them because I have to come up with more things they can talk about. I really should have planned this out better. Oh well as long as you guys enjoy it, it should be fine.
