He knew Tony would not have such qualms, though, and was proven right as the Avengers (minus Thor) sat around a table in Bruce's room.

Speaking of Bruce, Steve thought he looked a little sick...probably nothing.

Anyways, back to Tony.

"-He acted like we were dirt on his royal shoes!" Tony exclaimed. "He feels so superior to us that he barely-"

"That's enough, Tony." Steve finally cut in. "He's the king of Asgard, as well as Thor's father, and we should treat him with respect, at least while he's extending us his hospitality."

Tony scoffed. "I think we all know he's only doing that because Thor asked him too. He'll be glad when we're gone."

"At least he's making an effort to hide the fact that he hates us, unlike some people." Natasha cut in.

"I didn't see any effort! You're superspies, Natasha, Clint. I'm sure you noticed the way he looked at us." Tony argued.

Steve knew the argument was about to escalate, and was therefore very grateful at the arrival of Thor.

"My friends." He greeted, looking around at the other five. "Odin has decreed (Tony scowled) that you are to join me, the warriors three, and Lady Sif, (Natasha's face brightened. Thor had told her she would get along well with Sif.) on a trip to hunt a Bilgesnipe that has been terrorizing a small village.

"A Bilgesnipe?" Natasha asked. "You mean, like the creature you were telling Coulson about on the helicarrier when we were hunting Loki?"

"Indeed! They are savage creatures, and will trample anything in their path."

Steve, Tony, Bruce, Clint, and Natasha exchanged glances.

"When do we go?" Clint asked

"Tomorrow. For now, you are welcome to explore Asgard."

Thor walked to the exit, then paused.

"Oh..." he said. "My father has also decreed you are not to bring your weapons."
