Life settled into a grove, we'd have a grand opening of a new casino and rush around like chickens with there heads cut off for a month while we hired enough people to man all the shifts +10% then spend a month preparing the next grand opening.

It was during the last hotel's casino's grand opening that an incident came up that put all us girls on high alert. Evening-Angel came bursting in on Melody and me one afternoon, "Melody please help me! I don't know what to do! I'm so scared!" she balled.

"There there! Your safe! Should I get my flute?" Melody crooned into Angels hair. "You know that nothing can happen to you. Tell me all about it and I will make sure it never happens again."

"But what can you do! I'm so fired! Light will never forgive me if he thinks I ratted him out!"

"What light? Why would you be fired? We've had no repeat incidents ever so why would you question discipline now?"

"Light (hic) Nostrade (hic) he s(hic) NONONO(hic)NONONONO(hic)" Angel slid into incoherence.

"Oh! My! Krys, Kurapika is on the ramparts! Harden your Nen cover your ears and get him immediately" I dashed to compile and as soon as I had shut the door Melody began to sing.

"Kurapika! Melody needs you! There's been an incident but I don't know how you'll fix it this time!" I tugged him toward the waiting pair.

Once what I said registered, "Where?" he barked. Then sprinted off summoning his chains. Though winded I tried to do the same so caught up to him knocking on the door.

"It's alright I heard you coming." Melody smiled serenely as we came through the door and stopped dead to see Angel's glazed expression. "I'm afraid I had to hit her full blast." she apologized "Alright Angel you can wake up now"

"Kurapika! Hide me! Save me!" she sobbed into his shoulder.

"Of course you're safe! Come sit down. Please begin at the beginning and tell me what happened so I can take care of it." Kurapika guided her to a chair.

Angle sat straight as a doll and woodenly began, "I had just come off shift and finished turning in my table report when I literally ran into Mr. Nostrade." Her voice chilled my blood it was the sound of someone looking into hell with no hope of escape. "He grabbed my arm for balance, and as I was apologizing he pulled me close. 'You really do look like a perfect angel.' he said 'I believe a lot of my so called equals would pay good money for your time. You may even be able to open doors with my superiors!' Then he kissed me. I pulled out of his grasp said another apology as I fled straight here. I'm so doomed!" she finished at a wail.

It was the weirdest thing his face burned with rage when he heard Light's words and I'd swear the rims of his pupils glowed red for a second before he closed his eyes. "I'll take care of this Angel" he promised. "Just stay out of his sight until I tell you and everything will be fine." Then he stood and straightened his clothes.

"Wait Kurapika! Don't go now or you'll get her in trouble! Wait till his morning briefing and I'll gladly go with you to keep you calm and centered."

"Your right Melody." he sighed "I'll handle this much better once I've though everything through. Thank you for your kind offer but I'll be fine." then he stalked from the room.

"Foooo, that was close! That's the second time I've heard the killing rage in his heartbeat. I pray that I never hear it again."

Into the stunned silence I interjected, "Second time?"

"All I can say is that his entire family was murdered and he was face to face with their killer, the killer coolly confirmed his involvement with less emotion than you'd order a cup of coffee." With these disturbed thoughts no wonder I couldn't sleep well and my dreams were strange, but within a week Kurapika announced at breakfast "Everything is taken care of! Angel you are free to resume what ever duties you wish."
