summary:

While Po and his roommates were looking at beautiful flowers in a shop, they learn something very interesting about Tigress... and her sneeze (Modern AU)

Viper wanted to go so badly, she's been wanting their apartment to be filled with more... 'color'...

The others were not so sure what that had anything to do with her dragging them to a local flower shop, but here they are.

Everyone was in their own little corners of the shop, Po and Viper—being the most optimistic about this trip—we're currently glancing at the various colorful plants in one corner, Crane was curious about the lavenders in the other while Monkey was currently accompanying him and sneaking a couple of flowers in his four hands and creating a flower crown, and Mantis was at the counter attempting (key word is attempting) to flirt with the florist.

Tigress idly stands at the entrance, watching the amusing sight of Mantis getting simply ignored by the florist owner and Monkey getting smacked in the back of his head by Crane for supposed attempted stealing. Her fiery eyes slip to the side where Po and Viper were getting all exited over the beautiful different types of flowers. "Po! What do these mean?" The snake points to the tulips all bouncy. Po flips through the tiny book of flower language he has carried with him and was finally able to turn to the page, "Tulips! Also known as Tulipa; meaning hope, royalty, and true love!"

"Ooh! That sounds so romantic! Maybe you should pick one for a special lady," Viper wiggles her eyebrows, making the panda blush in embarrassment. "Oh, c-come on Viper, we're just here to get some plants for our apartment!" He nervously laughs and hides his red face behind his book.

Viper giggles as Tigress watches on with a small smile gracing her lips. It was so cute whenever Po got embarrassed, which is why she likes to tease him a lot. A groan catches her attention, making the tiger perk her ears up and look down to see a beaten up Mantis drag his body towards her. She silently raises her eyebrows in confusion as Monkey and Crane soon joins her. Monkey looks down at Mantis and grimaces, "Yeesh, what happened to you?" He asks with a chuckle hinted in.

Mantis huffs and glares at the primate, "Don't. Ask."

Crane rolls his eyes as Viper and Po joins the gang with Po carries a pot of orange hydrangeas and Gerbera daisies. Po raises his eyebrow and tilts his head, "What's up with Mantis?" He whispers to Tigress, only to be replied with a shrug from her.

"Well, me and Po think we found some flowers that will brighten up our apartment a little!" Viper gleefully says, letting Po show them off with that adorable 'tada' exclaim of his. Crane marvels in the beauty of the bouquet, "Wow, it's so... beautiful! Are we gonna buy it?"

Monkey hops on Crane's long neck to reach the bouquet to whip a sniff, "We better! These look amazing!"

Viper notices that Tigress was plugging her nose and sniffing, "Tigress, sweetie are you alright?"

Tigress sighs and sniffles, "Yeah I should be, I think I'm just allergic to one of those flowers..." She mutters, making Po concerned. "Really? Oh then maybe this isn't the best choice..." He mumbles intently.

Tigress was quick to interject, not wanting to upset the panda,"No, we don't have to do that! *sniff* I'm sure I'll get over ih... o-oveh—HAH!..." She inhales sharply when she senses a sneeze coming on.

Monkey hides between Crane's slender legs and clutches his head for cover, being accompanied by Mantis who hopped on his shoulder. "SHE'S GONNA BLOW!" The primate exclaims as the avian hovering over him was using his wings for cover, while Viper slithers to hide behind Po, who was attempting to hide behind the pot of flowers. They have never heard Tigress sneeze before, since she's not one to be affected by such, so goodness knows how loud and horrible and gross her sneeze can really be...

"Achu~!"

Time seemed to freeze as Tigress' roommates eyes snap open faster than popping a soda can. They all break out of their cover and look baffled towards a flustered Tigress who was covering her muzzle. Her tail swishes behind her as she looks at her friends in embarrassment, until she feels another sneeze coming up.

"Achu~!"

She sniffs again, looking at her friends who are... by the very least shocked. "G-Gesundheit.." Mantis mutters before he and Monkey burst out in laughter. She growls with heated cheeks which would initially make them stop laughing, if she didn't end up sneezing again, "Achu~! Sh-shut up!"

Viper puts a tail over her mouth to stifle her own giggling while Po and Crane are still trying to process what just... happened.

"Was... was that you?" Crane asks, though he already knew the answer as Tigress glares at him, "Who else could it possibly be.." She wipes her forearm over her nose to cease it's running.

"My goodness, Tigress," Viper finally pipes in, "I never knew your sneeze could be so... cute!" To give clarity, Tigress' sneeze seem like that of a innocent little kitten, and everyone knew it, including her, which was why she never liked sneezing in front of anyone.

"It's. Not. Cute!" She growls, but Viper just shakes her head in amusement.

Tigress finally turns to Po, and rolls her eyes before putting her hands on her hips, "Go on, laugh." She mutters, Before she was met with a beaming panda, "OH I'M SO GETTING THESE!" He gestures to the flowers, and with that, he grabs Tigress and dashes with her to the counter.

"W-what!? Why?" She asks with a hint of humiliation as Po requests paying for the bouquet. As the butterfly who owns the flower shop starts depicting his price, he turns to Tigress with a smug grin, "Come on! You really I would miss a chance of hearing the great Tigress Fu sneeze like a cute kitten on a daily basis? No way!" He exclaims, before Tigress got through Po's personal space and was met muzzle to muzzle with her, her fiery eyes burning his very soul with her glare.

"Let's make something clear... One, I am not cute. And two... NEVER call me kitten. Ever." A threat that would usually scare the panda into obedience, only seem to arouse his amusement.

Especially since she ended up sneezing again, she faces away from Po and sneezes into her arm, "Achu~!"

'...Oh no...' She was almost to horrified to glance at Po again, but when she does, she was met with Po's usual smile, the smile he gives when he's excited.

She gives him a deadpan look, "Don't you dare..."

What was supposed to be threatening just proved to Po how cute she can really be when embarrassed, he could only smile wider. My, how the tables have turned.

"I swear to the gods Po..." She mutters.

Po ends up internally squealing as he smiles so wide his plush cheeks were starting to hurt and his eyes required squinting.

That expression alone was enough to almost—almost—twist a smile of fondness on her face, she sighs and face palms herself, "Please don't..."

Despite her wishes, the panda eventually cracks up in joy, "You're too adorable."

"Oh dear gods nO!" She exclaims, completely flustered as Po continues to laugh. He pays the following price and takes the bouquet from the table, walking with a flushed tiger towards their friends.

Tigress had to admit, even though she felt completely humiliated, she still felt all... warm and fuzzy when Po called her those things. Adorable, cute, kitten... Hearing the others saying it was obviously just a way of making fun of her, but Po's was more... wholehearted. Maybe having those flowers around wouldn't be so bad if it meant getting praise of adoration from the panda...

As if on cue, another sneeze is what pulls her away from her thoughts, "Achu~!"

Po gives her a smirk, "Bless you, kitten."

She grumbles and looks to the side; that didn't mean she liked being called that... right?
