Chapter 6: No one get's away with bullying our friend
"Hey Lily, Severus, what took you two so long?" Questioned Remus quietly, who was settled down with the rest of first year Gryffindors.
"Congratulate your friend Nathan on the way he argued with Rosier and Mulciber today. I hope he had hexed them though. Tell him he can join us if he wants" James added.
"Anyways, why are the two bookworms late?" Alice questioned.
"We were inturpted by Prince Malfoy." Severus rolled his eyes.
Sirius made a disgusted expression at that, "Don't say that name infront of me. I still don't want to believe that he and Cissy are bethroded. There's no way that prat can be my cousin-in-law."
"I hope that jerk didn't do try anything stupid." James spoke.
"It was all verbal, can't have his prefect reputation get ruined you know." Severus rolled her eyes, "though he called her the m-word. I really wanted to hex him, I still regret not being able to."
"He called you the m-word?!" The rest of the Gryffindor party who were familiar with it exclaimed, which earned them a glare from Madam Pince.
"We need to do something to take revenge from that evil Legolas knock off." James spoke, determined.
"How do you know Legolas?" Mary McDonald, another muggleborn, questioned the pureblood Gryffindor.
"Mum liked muggle literature, so she made me read The Hobbit and Lord of Rings as a child." Replied James with a shrug.
"Well there's no way we can let that death Easter in training get away with abusing one of us." Sirius spoke.
"Exactly what I was thinking, Siri!" James exclaimed, making sure Madam Pince doesn't notices them.
"Well I would really call it abuse-" Lily's claim was clearly ignored by rest of the witches and wizards present.
Severus, who was extremely interested in joining the Gryffindors for taking revenge, asked, "So what's the plan?"
James grinned, before he started to whisper the plan to the group.
The day went by, and the group finally decided to leave the library, for more fun purposes.
"Hey firsties!" They heard the familiar voice of the Ravenclaw they had met on the ride.
They looked at their second year friend's direction to find her accompanied with two Hufflepuffs and three Ravenclaws of different years.
"Hey Lia," Lily, Severus and Remus greeted her, Lily in a cheerful tone and the two boys in a polite one.
"Hey Aurie!" James and Sirius grinned.
"Hey, how was the first day?" She asked them.
"It was great, besides for a few Death Eater in training being a bunch of bullies." Sirius scrunched his nose.
The Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs frowned, even though they had expected it.
Aurelia questioned, "Nothing serious happened, right?"
"Malfoy called Lily the m-word." James spoke, with visible and justifiable anger on his face.
"Did he now? Looks like cousin Lucius needs to be taught a lesson." Aurelia spoke, completely understanding the Gryffindor's anger.
"He's your cousin?" Lily asked, surprised.
"Technically speaking, as a pureblood, every other pureblood and most half-bloods are my cousins," started Aurelia, "but yeah. He's my first cousin, my mum was Abraxas Malfoy's younger sister."
Lily noticed the way Aurelia had spated her uncle's name, and was sure there was some family drama.
"Really, but you two are nothing alike." Mary pointed out.
"Well, we're not close. I think we used to be once, but then dear old uncle murdered my parents for not joining Voldyshorts when Astrid and I were five. Now there's nothing but hatred between us." Aurelia replied.
"Oh, sorry about that." Lily spoke,not sure how to reply.
"It's fine, I don't really remember them much anyways." She replied, "Anyways, I wanted you guys to meet some of my friends. Amos Diggory, fifth year Hufflepuff," a tall handsome brunette guy waved towards cheerfully, "Candice Hayes or Candy, Ravenclaw third year Ravenclaw" a Pretty short blonde gave them a smile and wave, "Hailee Dawn, first year Hufflepuff, you've probably seen her in your classes today" a skinny black girl waved shyly, "Christian Dayne, first year Ravenclaw," a tall guy with blue hair and glasses gave a peace sign, "and last but certainly not least, Conan Fletcher, fourth year Ravenclaw." A guy dressed in the most emo outwear a student can nodded his head with a hmm.
"You only have Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws as friends?" Severus questioned raisin his brow.
"No, we wanted to sneak to the kitchen for a nice snack, and being friends with Hufflepuffs always comes in handy for that." Candice replied cheerfully.
"Candy loves her candy more than anything." Stated Amos, who had seen the mixture of faces the first years were making.
"A suitable name then." Remarked Sirius.
"So, you firsties wanna join? Snacks for everyone." Candy questioned.
"No one can say no to food, you know." Replied James.
"Is there chocolate as well?" Remus asked.
"Oh yeah, Headmaster Dumbledore loves sweets. Plenty of good chocolate." That statement of Amos was all it took for Remus to agree.
And the group went to the the kitchen, sneaking snacks to their common room.
