Solaria was worried for her son

She knew it was difficult for him to lose his uncle , heck HE was her brother, but she didn't want him to destroy himself

There were big changes from the beginning , Nova kept his battle face at all times, except maybe when he was with his sister

Other than that , all that Solaria saw from her son was the cold demeanor , very very rarely a smile

Then she noticed how his ability with the sword changed

At first , all that happened were some cracks on his sparring partners' swords , who were trained knights themselves , she thought nothing of this

Then his opponents' swords were broken

Things only escalated , until two months after Jushtin's death

He was cleanly slicing through swords , WITHOUT MAGIC , his sword was high quality but Solaria was still baffled

She tried sparring with him but her swords were either sliced like butter or were magical and were knocked out of her hands quickly

And that wasn't all of it, there were times were she couldn't find him anywhere, he just disappears without a trace and comes back late at night

It was all very weird to Solaria

Then he asked her something very odd

"Can I have an empty piece of land?, big enough to fit a town , it should also be good for farming and close to a forest"

"What?" Asked Solaria in confusion "why would you even need that?"

"I...have a project that I want to do" said Nova wincing "it's something that'd benefit all of mewni"

"And what is that project?" Asked Solaria curiously as she saw something other than his indifferent expression

"I...want to put monsters in that town!" Said Nova as fast as he could

"What?!" Yelled Solaria in confusion and anger

"Prisoners! Monster prisoners!" Said Nova quickly

This calmed Solaria slightly

"Explain" said Solaria frowning

"Ok , I want you to let some monsters live to become prisoners in this town" said Nova after taking a deep breath "the monsters will provide us labor and mewmans teach them how to do it , so they'll provide mewni with food and other resources depending on the location"

"Nova! Monsters killed your uncle! My brother! And you're talking about LETTING THEM LIVE!" Said Solaria angrily

"...not all monsters killed uncle Jushtin" said Nova frowning "can you look me in the eyes and tell me that every mewman out there is innocent?"

"Do NOT compare us to monsters" said Solaria angrily before calming down "and how do you plan on making sure the monster don't escape?!"

"I made a spell for that , a barrier that'll stop any monster from escaping" said Nova frowning "so, could you please trust me just this time?"

"...fine! I'll work with that dumb plan since it'll help mewni" said Solaria sighing "I expect it to bring plenty of food and resources"

"Yes!" Said Nova happily as he left Solaria's office

She actually approved of his plan!

After Jushtin's death , Nova thought about many things he had to do

He had to find a way to get Solaria out of the war

a way for mewmans and monsters to get along

And a way to kill a septarian

This town he was calling "Mewmster" was the solution to the for last two problems

He was going to use the most used method to get two people to get along

Give them a common goal that they can only accomplish by working together, and a very good reason to do it

But he needed to be a bit lucky for the last problem, he needed Solaria to bring in a troublemaking septarian, which wasn't that rare since the septarasis loathe mewmans, and he'll be the lab rat

The town would give him the time and leeway to think of a way to make Solaria quit fighting , he couldn't just directly ask her to quit after all

All the time spent planning and preparing everything for this was worth it in his eyes, even the time he spent sparring with others to vent his frustration to the point that he started slicing swords on instinct, his dates with Fae , and Eclipsa asking him to help Globgor become a better vegetarian

These two months were hectic for Nova but he got it done , he even had to learn how to camp

Now he has to tell Fae so she could help him with her mind reading if need be

"What?!" Exclaimed Fae in confusion as she spit the bottled animal mind she was drinking

"Are you okay?" Asked Nova nervously

"Did I nibble on your mind by accident or something?" Asked Fae in genuine concern "let me check for bite marks"

"You did not nibble on my mind Fae" said Nova smiling "you already stopped eating mewman minds"

"I still crave them, they're too delicious" said Fae pouting as she rubbed her tummy "BUT, what you just said is just plain crazy! It's impossible for mewmans and monsters to get along"

"I know , I know, but I have a plan" said Nova smiling "and it's not impossible, we're proof of the that"

"I'm more open-minded than most others" said Fae smiling

"Yes, that's why I need your help" said Nova happily "I'm not gonna ask you to eat memories or anything like that, just tell me when someone is gonna do something that'd mess with my plan"

"And that plan is?" Asked Fae curiously

"Well..." Said Nova before telling Fae his plan

"... that's evil" said Fae bluntly

"Hey! It'll be good for them in the end" said Nova pouting "and it's not like I'm forcing anyone to do anything...ok , don't give me that look, I know for monsters it's either do it or death but that's mom's doing not mine"

Fae sighed before smiling

"I guess your plan could use some help from me" said Fae smiling

"Thank you!" Said Nova happily as he hugged Fae "I love you"

"Hmph, and you're okay" said Fae snuggling in his arms

"Aww , when am I gonna hear it from you?" Asked Nova pouting

"When I feel like it" said Fae frowning

Nova spent the night at Fae's library as she had many spare rooms
