Chapter 6: Confrontation

Sakura was munching on some fruits the next day after being stood up by Kei. Kei had messaged her he apologizes and wanted to have another chance. Sakura had been thinking this over but she was not sure if she wanted to. She felt a little hurt that he didn't respond to her calls or text messages.

Sakura finished munching on her fruits and went to open up her profile to see if she had any other messages. She was scrolling them down. She had realized she forgot to message Little Wolf yesterday. She opened up a new message and started to write one up.

Message

Hello Little Wolf,

I am so sorry I haven't messaged you yesterday! I feel really guilty. I don't know if I should tell you what happened to me yesterday. I feel really embarrassed this happened. We just finished up our finals and now are going to start our winter break. I am very excited not to think about homework. I went to a park nearby my home. It was very nice to visit there. I had very good memories. Afterwards, I went to a candy store. Tomorrow, I am going shopping with my friends and we will have a movie night at her house. I am excited to wine down from school. The final years before college seems stressful. I look forward to seeing your messages soon.

Ying Fa

Sakura finished up her message and sent it to Little Wolf. She thought about how this Little Wolf may look like. He must be very handsome. He seems so knowledgeable in anything. He even gave her advice on dating. He must be very experienced in this department.

When she looked at his profile picture it had only shown cherry blossom petals flowing around on top of water. The picture looks so beautiful. What she didn't know was that his sisters were the one to post this profile picture. He just didn't want to show his true picture online.

Sakura became curious about what he looked like. But she was not confident to show her picture. She shakes her head and turns off her computer to finish up the rest of her day.

Syaoran rolls out of bed. Today was the day he would be leaving his home to visit his aunt, uncle, and cousin. He sighs and looks at his luggages. He will only be there for a week and will come back. Syaoran heads towards his gym and starts to workout. He was worried about Ying Fa. He didn't know why he seemed so worked up about her. He decided he must really care about her. He didn't think he was capable of caring for another person. Before heading to Japan, he was going to meet up with Meiling. She had been busy since he called her about scaring off this other girl. He frowns to think about this girl.

He freshens up after working out and heads to the car.

"Xiaolang! Where are you heading towards? You have a flight to catch today." His mother said before he left.

Syaoran looks to his mother and says, "I'm just finishing up some business with someone."

"Okay." she said. She watched as her son drove away. Her niece, Meiling, had informed her that Syaoran was asking for advice about dating. Yelan smiles at the thought of her son finding someone to share his life. She was fine if it was temporary, she just wanted him to be happy.

Syaoran drives to a nearby cafe to meet with Meiling. He enters the cafe and immediately sees her.

Meiling waves at him. He walked towards her and sat in the chair across from her.

"Hello, Xiaolang. Did you want something to drink?" she asked.

Syaoran looks at the menu and orders a small americano. "Let's start this plan," he quickly says. He looks at his watch to make sure he is on schedule.

Meiling looked at Syaoran and asked, "Why did you want me to scare off this girl?"

Syaoran looks outside the window and says, "I don't want to be married to someone I don't want to be with."

Meiling raised her eyebrow and asked, "I see. Do I know this girl already?"

Syaoran pulls out multiple pictures of the girl the clan wants him to meet. "Her name is Hua Wang. She is the same age as us. Her family owns their Wang Enterprise. They could almost be compared to us. They are an influential family with prestige." he said.

Meiling looked over the pictures Syaoran had given her. She had to admit this girl looked very beautiful and had long flowy black hair and brown eyes. But she dressed so extravagant. There were also pictures of her slapping her friends and cousins. She looked very fierce. She thought, the clan wants to set up with Syaoran? They must have investigated this girl.

"I know what you are thinking. You are thinking didn't the clan investigate this girl?" Syaoran said.

"Yes, that is exactly what I am thinking. I am very confused?" she said.

Syaoran chuckles. "They don't care how she is. They just wanted our families to united to become a stronger clan in China." he said

Meiling looks back at the picture and realizes she must stop this. She didn't want to see Syaoran be unhappy and stuck.

"What do you need me to do, Xiaolang." she asked.

"I want you to accidentally meet her somewhere and scare her off." he said.

She thought about it and nodded her head. She had formulated a plan in her head to viciously scare this girl off. She may look scary in the pictures slapping people. But she knew that this girl was no match to her. She smiles at Syaoran and says, "Consider it done."

Syaoran smiles back and finishes up his americano. "I am headed to Japan today. If you need to contact me please do." he said.

"Japan?" she asked.

"I am visiting Auntie and Uncle Hiiragizawa in Japan. They just moved there. Mother wants me to make sure they are settling well." he explained.

"I see. I will see you when you come back." she said.

Syaoran gets up and pays the bill. He says goodbye to Meiling and walks back to his car. He heads back to the house to check his messages before he leaves. He had not heard from Ying Fa since and worried about her. The feeling he had was overwhelming and he didn't know how to explain his feelings.

He opens up his computer and sees a message from her. He frowns at the message.

Hello Ying Fa,

I am very sorry to hear something has happened. I hope nothing bad has happened to you? It is lovely you went to the park. I also had good memories in the park too. This candy store, do you alway go to it? I'm getting ready to visit my cousin in another country. I hadn't spoken to him in a long time and we lost in touch. I shall visit a candy store and send some to you. It's nice to eat candy to brighten your day, don't you think?

Little Wolf

Syaoran looks at the time. It's time to head to the airport to the town of Tomoeda. Syaoran walks towards the entrance of their house to head inside a limo. His mother and sisters were waiting for him by the limo.

"Xiaolang. I hope you travel to Japan. Please report to me of the status of how they are living and if everything is well." His mother said.

Syaoran looked at his mother and replied, "Yes, mother."

"I hope you find a girlfriend and bring her back to us!" Shiefa teased.

Syaoran rolls his eyes. "I don't think she is in Japan." he said.

She laughed and hugged her brother. His other sisters hug and kiss him goodbye. He gets inside the limo and waves at them. He turned forward in the car and sighs in relief. He feels a weight lift over his shoulders of not being a burden to find someone. He needs to find someone to temporarily pretend to be his girlfriend.

He got on the plane and was ready to arrive at his destination. He had messaged Eriol of his arrival but he said he had a friend that would pick him up. She had a sign with his name on it. He looked at his watch and thought, "I should be arriving soon."

Ring Ring.

Sakura looked at her phone. She saw it was a call from Eriol. "Hello Eriol." Sakura greeted.

"Hello Sakura." Eriol said.

"What do I have the pleasure for this call?" Sakura asked.

"I'm sorry to have bothered you. I am currently stuck with my company's client. I have been learning to help assist at the company in my free time. I just realized the time and my cousin will be arriving here soon. I hope you would be able to do me a favor?" he asked.

Sakura chuckles. "Sure. I will help you out. I will get a sign. What is his name?" she asked.

"His name is Syaoran Li. That's what people called him in Japan." he said, "I really owe you one Sakura. Thank you."

"Eriol, we are friends. I will head over to the airport and pick him up." she said.

"Sakura, I will have one of my drivers come and pick you up. So it's easier for you to drop him off at his apartment. Afterwards, you can have the driver drop you off." he said.

Sakura thought over it. "Okay." she answered. Sakura went to put on change out of her clothes. She put on some jeans and a light pink sweater. She curled her hair a little at the end. She went downstairs and heard her doorbell rang. She went to open the door. She was surprised.

"Kei? What are you doing here" she asked in a daze.

Kei was holding a bouquet of roses. "Sakura. I have been trying to contact you and I wanted to apologize to you about our date." he said.

Sakura looked up at him. She wasn't really mad about it. She just didn't understand why he hadn't contacted her. She held onto the roses and said, "Kei, thank you for the flowers, they are really- nice."

She wasn't a big fan of roses, but she would accept them.

"Sakura, I am so sorry about our dinner date. I wanted to make it up for you." Kei asked.

Sakura looked at him. She had thought this over, and actually thought it was a bit rushed. She just wanted to get to know him a bit more. She didn't understand why he hadn't contacted her when he didn't show up. Sakura sighs.

"Kei, I accept your apology." she said.

Kei smiles and wants to give Sakura a hug. But Sakura stopped him.

"Kei, we should try being friends first. I would really like to get to know you first." Sakura said.

Kei looked at her in shock. No girl he was dating had actually wanted to be friends with him. He didn't want to be friends. He just wanted to date with her for a while. He had seen her recently this year and started to notice her.

Kei gives Sakura a small smile and shakes her hand.

"If that's what you want to do," he replied. He didn't want to be friends, but he didn't want to scare her off.

A limo pulls up in front of Sakura's house. "I'm sorry Kei, I have to go" she said.

Kei looks back and sees a limo. He furrowed his eyebrows and slowly walked away. He frowned as he saw Sakura leave. He thought, "Is she seeing someone else already?"

He didn't like that anyone else was trying to take what he felt belonged for him for now. He slowly walked away from Sakura's house.

Sakura sat in the car sighed in relief that the car had shown up. She didn't know what to say to him for the time being. Sakura wrote on a paper with Eriol's cousin's name.

She spoke softly, "Syaoran Li" She liked his name for some odd reason. She smiled. She looked at her watch. She panicked. She realize she will be 20 minutes late to the airport. If only Kei had not shown up she wouldn't have been late. She arrived at the airport she went to look for the flight that Syaoran Li would be on.

She looks up at the screen and realizes the flight was delayed and she had 5 minutes to head over there. She sighed in relief and ran to the exit he will be arriving from. When she had arrived over there she didn't know there would be a big crowd. She was confused. She tries shoving her way in, but only to be pushed out. She fell on the ground.

She blows some air from her mouth and feels frustrated. She cracks her knuckles and neck to get ready to push herself in. She gets ready to push through, when all of the sudden the crowd had moved to follow a celebrity that had just passed through the exit. She was running towards the area where people were arriving from. She fell on the ground in front of someone. She thought to herself, "Wow, this is really embarrassing."

"What are you doing?" the person in front of her said.

Sakura looks up and sees a guy with mesmerising amber eyes. His hair was a little tousled from the flight. He stared down at her coldly. His eyes had noticed a piece of paper on the ground. He snorts and says, "Is this how you greet people?" he asked sarcastically.

Sakura broke out of her trance. She thought, "he is really handsome. But he is so rude."

"Can you get up yourself?" he asked coldly, "I don't have all day to wait for you."

"Y-you!" she started.

"Hello, are you the friend that was supposed to pick me up?" he asked.

"You are Li?" she asked.

"Yes that is me. Didn't Eriol tell you anything before coming here?" he said.

Sakura shakes her head no. Syaoran just rolls his eyes. She got up from the floor and smiled at him. Syaoran was taken back from her smile. He noticed that she was actually a very beautiful girl. He looked away and asked, "What is your name girl?"

Sakura squints her eyes at him and replied, "My name is Sakura Kinomoto"

"Kinomoto, have you eaten yet?" he asked cooly.
