Chapter 6: Gather time
The five of them now knew what they were going to build. They were ready to get started, so they can escape the summer school. A few days later, they decided that they were finally going to escape at night while everyone was asleep and gather all the necessary material needed to make the time machine work properly. During lunch time, on the day they were going to escape the school, Phineas composed a list of all the materials needed, and who was going to gather what. Each member was responsible of at least gathering four things. If one of the materials was not found, the entire time machine would function properly. Phineas then handed out a separate list to each of the other kids. After lunch, the five of them were anxious. This was the first time they were going to escape the school. They new how to, but the idea of actually carrying out the mission, just made them very anxious. The time finally struck, and now it was time for all the students to head back into their rooms and go to sleep.
All of the kids besides Phineas were only responsible for gathering ordinary things. They had to gather power tools, wood, metal, nails, and many more things, however Phineas had the important task of getting a magical orb, which allowed the actual time travel. The orb was a decent size and was essentially a power source. Because of how powerful it was, it was stored in a secured facility. Phineas would have to break in the government facility, and secretly steal it. Lucky for Phineas, the facility was not that far from the summer school. It was around a 30-minute walk, which was not bad considering that the power source could have been on the other side of the world. Phineas then started to walk to the facility in hopes of obtaining the magical orb. Around 30 minutes later, Phineas was face to face with the facility. The only challenge now, was getting past security and obtaining the orb. Secretly Phineas slid through every defense barrier there was. Around an hour later, Phineas was now in a very close proximity to the orb. He felt the power radiating from the orb. It was blinding him from how bright it was. In one swift motion, Phineas picked up the orb, which was much lighter than he expected and shoved it in his backpack. He then made a run for the exit door. As he picked up the orb from the stand an alarm rang, which notified the security that the orb had been stolen. However, before the security could come down and check, Phineas had already obtained the magical orb, and had ran out the exit door. The exit door then led to a highway, in which Phineas ran along till he saw his school. His journey took approximately three hours, and upon entering his room, the other four were already seated with all the materials. They all then shoved the materials underneath Phineas' bed just in case one of the teachers came in to check on the boys. The other four kids were shocked to see the magical orb when Phineas took it out of his backpack. It was like nothing they had ever seen. They were startled to see something of such power actually exist. They all then took turns touching the magical orb, as they were fascinated by it. The five of them then decided to celebrate, as they are new that they were going to be able to escape. For the next few minutes, they talked about their journey, and how they were able to get all the materials with ease. They were able to get everything on the list that was written by Phineas. The other three kids then all secretly dispersed back into their rooms in complete silence. The next few days were like any other ordinary days, besides the fact that Phineas and his gang were building a time machine to escape the school.
