Shadow didn't think too much about Sandy's SUV being absent from the driveway as he pulled in. He figured she was likely still moping around her brother's house. He wasn't a fan of her hanging around her drunken brother, or his drug addicted roommate, but given their current dust up he figured she be safe there for a few nights.

That was until Randy called in an attempt to talk with Sandy. "If she isn't there then where the hell was she?!" He wondered while tearing through their personal phone book.

After a few phone calls the worst of possibilities dawned on him. He wasn't about to call as he'd prefer to go and confront the man in person. If she was really there, he'd be sure to make Staticaw regret it. The fact Sandy refused to give up some of her friends for him was bad enough, but now this so-called friend might be trying to take advantage of this situation. Shadow couldn't let that slide, and he didn't give a damn what Sandy thought about it.

Shadow's bad mood only intensified as he saw Sandy's vehicle in Static's driveway. "Of all the places for her to end up it had to be here!" He muttered while getting out of his car and slamming the door closed. The tall hedgehog made his way to the front door only to stop halfway there as he heard conversation coming from the fenced off side yard.

Shadow made his way to the gate only to find it locked. He listened for a moment longer and could make out Static's voice. Once he registered Sandy's laugh, he violently hit the gate with his shoulder causing it to brake open in the opposite direction it was designed to swing. He strode halfway past the side of the house before he was met by Static coming around the corner looking concerned.

"Don't you know how to knock?!" Static spat as he looked around Shadow to see his broken gate.

"Out of my way. I'm here for my family." Shadow shot back as the two men stopped their strides as they were standing chest to chest and staring one another down.

Static pushed his chest into Shadow's in an attempt to intimidate him. "You're not welcome here. Get off my property." He growled.

"Your property?" Shadow half laughed. "Isn't this your father's property?" He smirked knowing just how to knock the other man off the pedestal he seemed to always place himself on.

Static leaned into him and whispered. "This is more my property, than your off grounds prison is yours."

Shadow grinded his teeth before pushing Static away from him with almost all his might. Static however seemed to be anticipating the hedgehog's reaction and was able to keep his footing.

"Sandy take the kids in the house!" Static shouted out as he now was in full view of anyone in his backyard.

"Don't talk to my wife!" Shadow demanded while running up to the weaker male and hitting him in the face.

Static fell down but continued into a roll before jumped up again. "She isn't your property!" The purple male stated while wiping blood away from his mouth.

"Both of you stop it!" Sandy shouted while holding both of her children.

Static gave her an apologetic glance right before Shadow hit him in the gut, causing him to hunker down in pain. "And don't look at her!" Shadow them slammed the back of Static head causing his face to go into the grass below them.

"Stop please!" She shouted again as the children started to cry.

Shadow kicked Static as he was laying on the ground and then started to slowly approach her. "That was his fault." His demeaner becoming softer as he looked at her fearful expression. "He had no right!" He took a few more steps closer to her before stopping as he caught his breath. "Please come home." He begged softly.

Heavily stressed breathing caused Shadow to turn his head and see Static push himself to his feet. Blood was running down his face, as he was a bit hunched over due to the blows he'd gotten to his abdomen.

"Over my dead body." Static managed to breath.

Shadow took a step towards him being more than willing to entertain his demand before Sandy's voice caught his attention.

"I'll never forgive you!" She screamed as the cries of their children grew louder.

Shadow looked back at her confused. Maybe he was just so full of rage he couldn't understand her female tendencies at the moment. "What?" He questions truly confused.

"If you touch him again, I'll never forgive you!" She yelled as tears started to fall down her face while she helplessly held onto their offspring.

Shadow looked at the badly beaten Static and back to his upset wife. He was so overwhelmed he had no idea how to truly feel, so he just reverted back to his anger as he tore off his wedding ring and threw it in her direction. "Then stay!" He demanded while walking off. "I never want to see you again!"

He knew full well he didn't mean it, but had no idea what else to say. He was leaving without his wife… Without his children. How could this spoiled little rich boy cause so much trouble?! He kept thinking about it on his drive home completely oblivious to his own sins.
