A/N: Rewrote this chapter, because I had to change a few things for future chapters. My OC List on my profile is redone and I also put in a description of Luna's...everything. Her packs, the social structure she developed, etc.

Chapter 7 should be up by Monday at the latest.

Chapter 6 - Reunited

Humphrey's POV

"What happened?" I muttered. My eyes were bruised shut and I could barely open them. A golden light appeared beside me and I felt a presence stand over me. There was a gasp, "oh, Fenrir." a female voice muttered, "what happened to you?"

I recognized the voice… "K-Kate." I choked, then passed out before I could say anything else.

"Don't worry, Humphrey." Kate's voice said, "I'm coming."

I groaned, as I came to, nah, she wouldn't be coming for me. I thought, she's with Garth and living the life she's always wanted, I've accepted that.

I scoffed, probably making lots of puppies with him. I thought in scorn.

I gradually opened my eyes to find myself in a den guarded by two Alphas, "what happened?" I muttered.

I slowly remembered what happened…I don't know how long ago it was. "Ohh, great job, Humphrey." I groaned, "you blew your chance."

"Quiet in there!" One of the Alphas growled.

"Why do you care?" I asked, annoyed, "I'm going to be dead in the morning, all over a simple misunderstanding."

"It is morning, you imbecile." The other Alpha said.

"Hey! You try to remember what time it is after you're beaten unconscious!" I growled.

"Wh-What did you just say to me?!" The second Alpha asked, as he entered the den, "you're a prisoner. You don't talk."

The Alpha raised his paw to strike me, "hey!" a female voice shouted from outside, "we don't torture the prisoners."

A figure stepped into the den, "M-Miss Sanny." The Alpha stuttered, "what are you doing here?"

"I wish to speak to the prisoner alone." Sanny said.

"Your parents ordered us to-" The Alpha started, but Sanny cut him off.

"Take a hike!" Sanny snapped, angrily.

The two Alphas gulped in fear, then left the den. Once they were gone, Sanny smiled at me, "how have you been?" She asked.

I coughed, "I've been better." I answered, "you here to help me escape?"

Sanny shook her head, "no, I can't defy Mom and Dad's wishes." She replied.

"So…what?" I asked, "you're just going to let them drag me out and kill me?"

Sanny shrugged, "I've tried explaining to them who you are, but they wouldn't listen." She said, "even after I explained how I found you in that clearing."

I frowned, "wait…" I muttered, "you didn't find me in a clearing."

"Hey, Humphrey?" Sanny's voice came from outside the den, then she appeared at the entrance, "I'm sorry about what happ-"

Sanny widened her eyes at the…Sanny standing beside me, "who the hell are you?!" The second Sanny asked the first Sanny.

"T-Two Sanny's?!" I exclaimed, shocked.

Sanny's POV

I had left my parents' den and went to my own for the night, but I didn't get much sleep over what happened to Humphrey yesterday. After wallowing in my depression all night, I decided to give Humphrey a visit to apologize. When I got there though…

"Hey, Humphrey?" I called into the den, then stood in the entrance, "I'm sorry about what happ-"

I immediately noticed another she-wolf standing beside Humphrey. She looked exactly like me, right down to the smallest detail, and her scent even matched my own. "Who the hell are you?!" I asked.

"T-Two Sanny's?!" Humphrey exclaimed, shocked.

"I'm the real Sanny!" I growled, then motioned my head towards the other, "she's an impostor!"

I heard paw steps approach from behind me, "you know you're not supposed to be talking to the prisoner, Sanny!" I heard Dad growl.

I glared at Fake Sanny, who chuckled, "Who are you?!" Dad asked.

Fake Sanny smiled, "you know me, Rick." She said, "you've known me your whole life."

"Alphas!" Dad growled, "seize her!"

I backed out of the den, while two Alphas moved in to seize Fake Sanny and take her to a prison den. The Alphas moved to either side of her and she reluctantly went out of the den with them. Dad huffed, then left as well and I moved beside Humphrey to find him passed out.

I chuckled, "good job faking to faint." I said.

There was no answer, then I examined him more closely, "oh, you actually did faint." I corrected, then chuckled lightly.

I heard Humphrey's stomach growl and I smiled, as I rubbed the fur on his head with my paw, "I'll go get you some food." I said, then left the den towards the feeding grounds.

Rick's POV

I was furious! First, I find Sanny talking to the prisoner, then I find there's two Sanny's in that den…which was strange. Fake Sanny was an exact replica of Sanny, right down to the last detail, even her scent was the same. Maybe…no. I shook my head out of such thoughts and continued leading the Alphas, who were escorting Fake Sanny, to another prison den. We came up to an empty one and I motioned for the Alphas to toss her in. Fake Sanny willingly went in and smiled at me, as she passed, then laid down towards the back of the den. The two Alphas sat on either side of the den, guarding it.

"Your trial will be held with the other wolf's." I said, "I hope you've thought about what your last words are going to be."

Fake Sanny smiled, "I can't wait." She replied.

I huffed, then left to the Alpha Den. Carol was there waiting for me, "hey, dear." She greeted, warmly.

I smiled, "hi, hun." I replied, then we exchanged a kiss, "what's up?"

"Cody has come back." Carol said.

I looked at her in confusion, "I thought he was negotiating with Marcus?" I asked, "by Luna's orders."

Carol sighed, "he was." She answered, "but he's come back for some reason."

"This day just gets better and better." I muttered, as I laid down inside the den. Carol moved into the den and laid down beside me as well.

"What happened?" She asked, questioningly.

"What makes you think something happened?" I asked, surprised.

Carol sighed, "we've been married for nearly three years now, Rick." She said, "I know when something is troubling you."

I chuckled, "you won't believe me if I told you." I replied.

Carol smiled, "try me." She said. I sighed, reluctantly, then explained about finding Fake Sanny in the prison den with the lone wolf.

"…and that's what happened." I finished, then Carol stood up.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I'm going to go have a talk with her." Carol answered, then left the den before I could protest.

I groaned, "I just want this day to be over." I muttered, then I heard pawsteps enter the den and I groaned even more.

Carol's POV

I scouted out the prison dens until I found one that had a she-wolf identical to my daughter in it. The Alphas saw me approaching and stood at attention.

"Stand down." I said, "I want to speak with the prisoner."

The Alphas nodded, then let me pass and I entered the den to find the she-wolf scribbling something in the dirt.

"I was wondering how long it would take until you came." The she-wolf said in Sanny's voice, without taking her eyes off her claw in the dirt.

"Can you please speak in your normal voice?" I asked, "I know you're not my daughter."

"You're right, I'm not." She said, still speaking in Sanny's voice, then stopped scribbling in the dirt and gently placed her paw over what she drew before I could get a glimpse of it, "but I am someone you know."

"Who are you?" I asked, curiously.

"Perhaps you should ask the other wolf that question first." She said, while still looking down at the ground, "his answer may surprise you."

"I'm not asking him, I'm asking you." I replied, "who are you?"

"Who I am is not important right now." She said, then looked up at me, "finding your son…before he dies…is."

I opened my mouth to say something else, but the she-wolf started speaking again, "also, I would find out why the wolf you sent to negotiate with the Red Wolves came back." She continued, "perhaps there's an excellent reason why he did."

"How do you…?" I started, but she moved her paw off of what she drew into the dirt, revealing a Δ symbol. I widened my eyes in shock and the she-wolf smiled at me.

I nervously shuffled my paws and slowly backed out of the den, "uhh, I…uhh…" I stuttered, then took a breath, "don't go anywhere."

"I don't plan on going anywhere…Carol" She replied, still speaking in Sanny's voice, "I'm right where I want to be."

I quickly got out of there and the Alphas guarding the den looked at me with worry.

"You alright, Ma'am?" One of them asked, "if the prisoner offended you, we could always-"

"No!" I exclaimed, taking them by surprise, then I quickly recomposed myself.

"No." I said, more calmly, "I just…need to talk to Rick, that's all."

"Yes, Ma'am." The other Alpha replied, then I headed back to the Alpha Den.

Sanny's POV

I dragged a caribou back to the prison den to find Humphrey awake. "Oh, good." I said, after dropping the caribou in the den, "I don't have to wake you."

"Hey, you brought me food." Humphrey said, then attacked the caribou, gorging himself.

"Slow down, brother." I said, trying not to laugh, as he tore into the carcass, "you don't want to hurt something and it's already dead."

Humphrey lifted his head up, entrails stuck to his face, "sorry, Sis." He replied, "I'm just really hungry."

I chuckled, "I can see that." I said, then my own stomach grumbled, "let me get some of that."

I dug into the carcass as well until there was nothing left, but a pile of bones. Humphrey smacked his lips, "that was a good last meal." He said, "and I'm glad to have spent it with my sister."

I smiled, "thank you, Humphrey." I replied, "but you're not dying."

Humphrey widened his eyes, "I'm not?" He asked.

I shook my head, "Grandmother came to the rescue." I said, "she disguised herself as me and now that you're awake, I want to go find Mom."

Humphrey frowned, as we stood up and left the den, "I thought that was a weird dream." He replied, as we walked, "wait…how did she even do that?"

"She was raised and taught by the Red Wolves of the East." I explained, then tilted my head to the side, "well, according to legend at least."

"Who's the Red Wolves?" Humphrey asked.

"They live towards the east, very similar to us Gray Wolves, but smaller, faster, and very skilled fighters." I explained, "they're also united as a species and masters of disguise."

"Now things are beginning to make sense." Humphrey replied, "but how did Luna even get there?"

"Only Skye, Shadow, and Vincent, know the answer to that question." I said, "and that's because they're the only ones still alive from that time period."

"Oh." Humphrey muttered.

"But…" I started, getting his attention, "there is a rumor that Luna isn't a Gray Wolf."

"If she isn't a Gray Wolf, then what is she?" Humphrey asked.

"An Arctic Wolf." I answered.

Fake Sanny's POV

I smiled, as I watched Carol leave the prison den I was being held in, after she got a good look at the symbol I drew in the dirt, which represented the Deltas. After a few minutes of waiting, I saw Rick approach the den, "leave us." He ordered, then the two Alphas guarding the den left.

I watched him enter the den and sit down across from me, "who are you?" He asked, "and what did you say that made my mate so nervous?"

I didn't say anything and Rick looked down towards the ground at the Δ symbol I drew in the dirt. He looked up at me in shock, "you're a…" He said, but stopped, "how?"

"Are we alone?" I asked in Sanny's voice.

Rick nodded, "good." I answered in my normal voice, taking him by surprise, "my identity and presence in the pack must be kept secret."

"Y-You…You're…" He stuttered, "M-Mom?"

"Yes, Son." I answered, "and we need to talk."

"About what?" Rick asked.

"Carol already knows." I explained, "but I suggest you take another look at that wolf you imprisoned yesterday afternoon."

"What about him?" Rick asked, "you're not giving me any answers."

"Life…doesn't give answers." I said, "you must find them yourself."

Rick sighed, "I thought between us, there would be an exception." He replied, "who is he?"

"What would be his punishment if found guilty at his trial?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Execution." Rick answered.

"And what are the chances of him being found guilty?" I asked.

"Extremely high." Rick said.

I smiled, "then Carol already knows who he is." I replied, "how about the two of you go ask him?"

Rick let out a sigh of exasperation, "alright, I know you're not going to tell me." He said, "Carol and I will find out, so now…what about you?"

"Well, that's simple enough." I explained in Sanny's voice, "I escape."

Rick chuckled, then left the den and the two Alphas came back to escort me out of the den and most likely to be executed, but that, of course, won't be happening.

Rick's POV

I headed over to the den, where the other wolf was being kept, and found Sanny talking to him. They didn't notice me come in, so I cleared my throat to get their attention. "Ahh, Dad!" Sanny exclaimed, "I-I, I was just-"

"It's alright, Sanny." I said, cutting her off, "I just wanted to talk."

"Okay, I will leave you alone-" Sanny started, as she stood up, but I cut her off again.

"With both of you." I said, as I sat down, then motioned for Sanny to sit down again.

Sanny sat down, then I started to speak, "I'm sorry, Sanny." I said, taking her by surprise, "I think I should've listened to you from the beginning."

"It's alright, Dad." Sanny replied.

I shook my head, "no, it's not." I said, "but let's forget that all happened and start over."

Sanny nodded, "so..." I said, then turned towards the wolf, "who are you?"

"Uhh, Sir..." He said, "my name is Humphrey and I used to be a part of the Western Pack of-"

"Jasper?" I asked, cutting him off.

"Uhh, yes." He answered, "how did you know that?"

I turned back towards Sanny, "I guess I got too caught up in the situation to put two and two together." I said, "you said you brought Humphrey home, why did I not think that he was Humphrey?"

"Everybody makes mistakes, Dad." Sanny replied, "all you can do is learn from them."

I chuckled, "you sound just like your mother." I said.

"I just have one question." Humphrey said, "who was that she-wolf, who was like Sanny's twin?"

"She was just a crazy old she-wolf." I lied, "she's being dealt with as we speak."

"By the way, where is Mom?" Sanny asked, "I thought she would've come as well?"

"She told me that she had to speak with Cody after she realized something." I said.

Sanny widened her eyes, "oh, no!" She exclaimed.

Carol's POV

I was sitting on top of a cliff, while a raging river flowed at the bottom, waiting for Cody to find me. There was something…important I wanted to talk to him about. The sound of paw steps and twigs snapping reached my ears from the trees behind me.

"Ah, there you are, Ma'am." Cody said, "you wanted to talk to me?"

I smiled, then turned around, "yes, Cody." I answered, "come sit beside me."

Cody did as he was told and looked at me curiously, "what did you-" He started, but didn't get a chance to finish.

I growled, then grabbed the scruff of his neck in my jaws and held him over the edge of the cliff. "I know you've been seeing my daughter behind my back!" I growled.

I felt Cody's muscles tense after I said that, "so I'm going to ask you this once…" I said, "do you love my daughter?"

Cody gasped, "yes!" He shouted, "I will care for her and treat with as much respect as I do you!"

I narrowed my eyes, "have you done anything to her?!" I growled.

Cody shook his head, "never!" He shouted, as he stared at the raging river in fear, then sighed, "but you may as well drop me."

I widened my eyes in confusion, "why?" I asked.

"Because if I can't live a life with Sanny, whether that be because you won't allow it or something else, there's no point in me living." Cody answered, "just tell Sanny I love her with all my heart and I wished to spend my life with her."

"Mom!" I heard Sanny shout, "what are you doing?!"

I growled, then tossed Cody back onto the ground and he rolled a little ways towards Sanny, then she jumped towards him and immediately examined him.

I approached the duo and I heard Cody gulp, then I smiled, "how about you tell her yourself?" I suggested, "you have my blessing, Cody."

Cody stared at me in shock, then fainted and I frowned, "well…" I said, "that wasn't the reaction I was hoping for."

I noticed the dark gray furred wolf from yesterday was standing a little ways away, "what are you doing here?!" I growled, "you're supposed to be under guard."

"Mom." Sanny said, "how many times do I have to say it? I found Humphrey."

I widened my eyes and stared at the gray wolf, then he nervously shuffled his paws, as I approached him. "You mind?" I asked.

"Uhh, mind what?" He asked.

I circled him taking in his scent and gasped, once I recognized it, "Humphrey?" I asked, hopefully.

"That's my name." He said. A smile crept onto my face, as my eyes welled up with tears of joy, then I pulled him into a bear hug.

"Oh, Humphrey." I cried, "you came home."

I felt him wrap his arms around me, "Mom." He said, softly.

"Well, seems I was a little late for the party." Rick said, as he emerged from the bushes.

"Dear..." I said, "our son has come home."

"I know, Hun." Rick replied, "took me a while to realize it, but sometimes the words of an old, crazy, she-wolf can have some sense."

I looked at him in confusion, then one of the Alphas, who were guarding the she-wolf, suddenly burst out of the bushes, "Sir!" He exclaimed, "the prisoners have escaped!"

"It's alright." Rick said, "he's our son."

The Alpha looked at Humphrey and I, who were still in our embrace, and he nodded in understanding, "oh, but what about the she-wolf?" He asked.

"Leave her be." Rick ordered, "she won't cause anyone any harm."

The Alpha bowed his head, "yes, Sir." He replied, then started to leave, but Rick stopped him.

"You can tell the pack that Carol's and I's son has returned and we will have a celebration tomorrow night with a Moonlight Howl." Rick said, "now you can go."

"Yes, Sir." The Alpha replied, then left and Rick approached Humphrey and I.

"You can let go of him now, Carol." Rick said, then I realized I was still hugging my son.

"Oh, sorry, Son." I said, as I let go of him, "I just haven't seen you since you were only a small pup."

Humphrey smiled, "it's alright...Mom." He replied, then he muzzled my chest, making me smile.

"How about we go back to the Alpha Den, where we can catch up?" I suggested.

Kate's POV

Lillian and I had caught a train to Yosemite yesterday morning and we were now almost to our destination. I was curled up at the bottom of a crate, waiting for the train to arrive. It wouldn't be for at least another day, so I've been trying to just nap and rest, but I couldn't.

A light gray face popped up above the crate, "you alright, Kate?" Lillian asked.

I sighed, "I don't know." I answered.

"Hm, mind if I join you?" Lillian asked.

"Go right ahead." I said, "I…could use the company."

Lillian jumped into the crate and curled up beside me, our legs were intertwined, because of the relatively small space we had.

"What are you thinking about?" Lillian asked.

"Humphrey." I answered, "what do I say to him?"

"What do you mean?" Lillian asked.

"Well, the last time he saw me was when I…brushed him off and chose my responsibilities over my heart." I explained, "I don't know what to say to him to get him to listen to me."

"Tell him something that would make him listen to you." Lillian suggested.

I frowned, "isn't that what I just asked?" I asked.

"I mean…think of a short phrase or word that would explain everything." Lillian explained, "something quick that you can say."

I furled my eyebrows in thought, "hmm, 'Barf'." I said, "Humphrey called Garth, 'Barf'."

"Think that'll work?" Lillian asked.

"It's worth a try." I replied.

"Well, whatever you decide, you better get to him quickly." Lillian said.

"Why's that?" I asked.

"Mating season." Lillian answered, bluntly, "I'm sure all the females in Yosemite will be all over him when it comes time."

"It's already started." I replied, remembering my last conversation with my mother, "for some anyway."

"Yeah, well…" Lillian said, "you better get Humphrey before the height of the season starts, or someone else might and you may not see him again."

I sighed heavily, "why didn't I just get him to stay right from the beginning?" I asked myself. The train continued chugging along the tracks, while I laid my head down on my paws.

"Where's Marcel and Paddy when you need them?" I asked.

"Who?" Lillian asked.

"Marcel and-" I said, then gasped, "Marcel and Paddy!"

"Uhh, you're scaring me." Lillian said.

"They're a duck and goose, who like playing this weird game that involves hitting a rock with a stick." I explained, "anyway, they helped Humphrey and I get home and they can let Humphrey know I'm coming."

"Marcel and Paddy are on a vacation." Lillian said.

I laid my ears onto the back of my head, "oh…" I muttered, then suddenly realized something, "wait a minute, you said what?!"

"The two golf-playing waterfowl are Luna's most trusted scouts." Lillian explained, "Luna utilizes other species to keep an eye on threats like King, Marcel and Paddy have been relieved of those duties for a few weeks now."

I grumbled to myself, "those two…lying-" I growled.

"Watch it…" Lillian warned, "they enjoy their vacation time and they were sworn to secrecy."

I sighed, "fine." I replied.

"Hm, maybe I can do something." Lillian said, then climbed out of the box. I sat up, so I was able to peer over the side of the box, and watched her go to the open train door. Lillian whistled and imitated the sound of a goose honking. A few minutes later, I was amazed, as I saw Marcel and Paddy fly down from the clouds and land beside Lillian.

"You whistled, mademoiselle?" Marcel asked, then grumbled, "right in the middle of a good game too."

"We would like to ask you a favor." Lillian said.

"We?" Paddy asked, then they noticed me sitting in the crate.

"Oh…" Marcel muttered, then honked in annoyance.

A/N: Well, shorter chapter this time. Bet you weren't expecting that about Marcel and Paddy. Umm, I don't have much to say.

I can answer your questions a lot better if I can talk to you more directly. I suggest you create a Fanfiction account, all you need is an email and it's free, then I can PM you. Now I understand if you don't want to make an account, that's perfectly fine, but I have no real way to talk to you directly. Just because you create an account, doesn't mean you have to write anything either.

A&O/Avengers crossover I've started writing the first chapter, but it's going to be a while before it's posted and you'll know why once I do.
