A Divine Being
Strong-willed
Powerful
with many capabilities
These are the words I used as I chant the incantation for the familiar summoning ritual.
Whom of which spawns a 19 years old guy, calling himself as an "Elite Time Patroller" from another world. From his own explanation. He is not our everyday human being. He is a Saiyan, a warrior race that is naturally born to fight. Which explains his muscular, well-toned, 175cm body figure with a monkey-like tail wrapped around his hips. He has a jet black spiky long hair that almost covers his ears and forehead. He has a bright red eyes that shines like a blood instead of his race's usual black eyes.
Around the time of his arrival, he is wearing some self-explanatory outlandish clothing and garment, and a long black cape wrapped around his neck as I think is the way he stands out as a noble in his world. He carries with him along his technologies from his own world, somewhat seems to be some futuristic tech that can contain large amount of his belongings into a form of a capsule.
To sum it up. Even I didn't believe it at first, I just summoned a familiar that is fit to my incantation depiction. A strong-willed warrior who does not fear to what is in front of him. A powerful familiar that shakes off a slash to the neck as if it's nothing. A human being with incredulous speed. And an embodiment of a square class mage that fires of an orb of ice that explodes and spikes up to a 20 feet tall chunk of giant ice without casting any incantations nor a wand. Something that nobody would believe without witnessing it themselves.
I don't even want to think that I just kidnapped a possible divine being from another world. Even though said guy acted like a noble only on some occasions and sits with us, he pigged out on yesterday's dinner as if he has bottomless stomach, embarrassing me as his master. And also he sleeps like a child.
Though nobody dares to judge this seemingly monster in a pretty boy's body as he's so chill when he is around the other students. Treating the boys as if they were his old pals and being very friendly towards the girls.
I don't know how to act around him. He seems to be a guy with a good heart, yet arrogant and somewhat comes out sarcastic and sassy.
"You know you can just be yourself around me. Don't be too stiff, Louise." He said as he leans his back on the chair, drinking the milk her maid friend had just delivered.
What he said earlier actually relieved me from all the thoughts of him becoming deviant towards me. I guess for now all I can do, is trusting him to keep standing beside me.
I guess tomorrow will be a lot different than my usual days with him around.
The bright light of the sun washes over a certain pink haired girl's sleeping face, waking her up. She slowly opens her eyes, rubbing it. She stretched her arms to the sky, letting a slight moan to regain her energy after sleeping. The snoring that accompanies her to wake up for yesterday isn't heard. She looks to her bed's right side, finding her saiyan familiar sleeping with his own new bed only separated by a gap. Of course now her familiar is given a new set of bed, she really can't get the thoughts off from her about possible troubles a noble from another world is now currently serving her as her familiar. Who knows if something good would ever happen if she treated him well.
The black haired saiyan is sleeping with his face facing his pillow, silencing the snore. He rolled up his blanket to form a bolster. He also sleeps wearing a gray tank top and a black boxer. Seeing that well-toned muscles from he r familiar, she can't help but to take a closer look. She got off her bed and took a seat on the saiyan's bed.
She carefully touches her familiar's right arm, making him slightly moves changing his sleeping pose to face her. She slowly continued caressing his right arm. It feels his muscles is as strong as a rock, while his skins is also feels smooth like how human skins usually like. She is starting to get confused. How is an athletic body this normal can withstand a sword to the neck without a graze whatsoever, all the while destroying it?
"What are you doing?" A pair of red eyes suddenly opens, meeting her own pair of pink eyes. She jumped out of surprise.
"Ahhh...n..n..n-nothing!" Louise stutters to the flat faced young man. "G-g-good morning, Familiar."
"Good Morning." He rose from his bed yawning. "You know I have a name, Louise." He yawns again.
"Ah...y-yes...Sharot." She said still blushing from embarrassment. "So you already sleep well, right? Now go get ready! You said you want to come to class with me."
"Alright...Alright..." Sharot directing his right hand towards his capsule wardrobe. With his psychokinesis, a purple glow surrounded the wardrobe. The wardrobe opens and a set of his signature uniform floating closer, making it's way to his lap.
Louise glued standing on the floor witnessing her familiar's ability. Sharot continues redirecting his hand to Louise's wardrobe, giving it the same purple glow that surrounds it. Controlling his master's set of uniform out of the closet to Louise's hands.
"A fly will enter your mouth if you...hoaaammzzz...keeping it open." Sharot said still feeling sleepy, making Louise to close her mouth from the dropped jaw. "Wait for your turn. I'll wear mine first." He said as he started wearing his patroller uniform.
"N-no. I can wear it myself. I can't force a noble from other world to do my own chores." Louise said while she wears her own uniform.
"Well... technically I am since I am an agent of law enforcement that watches over time and space directly under supervision of a loli god. So if I am not who I am, you would force me to do so?" Sharot asked.
"That's not..."
"Look... I know the way I prove my point yesterday was too harsh. But I gotta say this to you as a friend, Louise. This 'noble' and 'commoner' thing, the discrimination in your people's mind, it will bring nothing but chaos. If you're going to trample on the dignity of the people who are on a lower rank than you. Don't expect that someone who is higher than yours will not do the same to you. If you can be more humble to the commoners so they would respect you, why do the opposite and made them despise you?" Sharot said wisely.
Louise stood on her ground for a while as Sharot equips his red scouter that made a series of it's sound, and wrapped his black cape that flaps, as a mark that indicates he is indeed an embodiment of a noble from his world. She started to rethink about her situation. Ever since she found out that she always fail to do even a simple magic, she has always been a laughing stock among her friends. Not a single day without her hearing a word mocking her attempt doing magic. And the more she took it, the more she despises them. And the more she despises them, the more she lashes out on people under her who tried to help her. And now, a humanoid familiar is here to stand beside her, teaching her arrogant friend a lesson the hard way. And the words her familiar says to her is starting to change her way.
"You know, you're right, Sharot." Louise said as she buttons up her uniform. "I think you're indeed live up to your age. You're actually a lot more valuable than to just do chores anyway." She continued, which made Sharot smiles to her. "So...follow my lead, Familiar." She walks out the door.
"As you wish, my Master." Sharot said following her from behind.
"Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth Magic. When you combine it, it will create a stronger magic with different effects. And our level as a mage was determined by how many magic we can combine. Can anyone mention what those levels are?" said Mrs. Chevreuse. Montmorency raises her hand volunteered to answer.
"Combination of two elements forms a Line,
three elements forms a Triangle, and four forms a Square." She explained proudly. The teacher pleased to hear her answer, praised her.
Sharot wonders how magic works in this planet is kinda different than the ones he once heard of. As magic as he know is a distinct energy that possess immense abilities that rarely used as an offensive techniques. But here, magic revolves around elemental manipulation being dependent on using wands to cast spells.
"Very good. Well, maybe now all of you can only use one, but-"
"Mrs. Chevreuse, sorry to interrupt but there is one student that still uses neither, even though her familiar is capable of one" Kirche interrupted, making every student in the class stares at Louise, with Sharot noticed it.
"All I can say is... Please do your best until the next class!" The Teacher said breaking the staredown. The saiyan can't help but rubs his chin.
Clearly the mockery from the last class has made the young pinkette grumpy. The word 'not in the mood' is clearly written all around her face. Leaving her familiar floating around in a coaster of thoughts. Thinking about it, he's been hearing other people in this academy calling her name with the title "Louise the Zero" because of how she's always been unsuccessful at doing things related to magic.
Though that rumor isn't answering the fact that his summoner attempt at doing so was not entirely 'nothing happened'. He theorizes that if magic is something that identifies one as a noble, then it sure has something to do with one's lineage. Some special abilities carried out by the race of this halkeginian humans. He needs to see it through.
"Hey, Louise." Sharot calls out to her, breaking the silence since the last three minutes.
"What is it, familiar?" Louise responded coldly, much to her familiar's concern.
"I know you're not in the mood... but." Louise stops her movement, turning her direction to her familiar. "Can you show me what magic you can do later?" He asked. Louise's eyebrows frowned to the request of the saiyan thinking it was another mockery from his foul mouth. But seeing that flat expression he's making, she weakly nodded.
Soon after the class is over for the day. The pinkette and her familiar found themselves at an open field. But they aren't alone, Sharot somehow brought Guiche to come with them to help. Well even though they are at each other's throat the other day, they seem to get along nicely because of how chill her famliar is.
"Hey, Sharot. Do you really think it's a good idea? I thought you already heard from Kirche that she can't do magic properly." Guiche questions on what the saiyan is planning to do.
"It'll be fine. Besides, that's what I am going to find out." Sharot replied, tapping buttons on his scouter scanning the scene at his vision.
"Well...if it's an answer you seek. Then I, Guiche the Bronze, will assist you. Saiyan of the Zero, Esharotto." Guiche said acting elegantly.
"Is that nickname was something you just came up with?"
In the distance, Louise is standing across a stationary Bronze Golem Valkyrie that Guiche summoned. She gave a slight glare to the boys before returning her gaze to the golem. She raised her wand aimed at the golem, and started to chant a spell.
"Say, what do we know about magic in this world?" Sharot asked to the blonde guy.
"Well. All I know is it consumes your energy built up by chanting a spell and then releases it with a wand to cast the magic." Guiche explained, giving an overview to the saiyan.
"And this energy is...?"
"Willpower" Tabitha appears behind them barges in the conversation, with her wind dragon standing behind her. "Magic...uses willpower if sufficient." she continues.
"Ehhh...What if the amount of this willpower runs out?" Sharot asked while he approaches Sylphid and pats it's head.
"Recovers...from rest." Tabitha answered before saying goodbye and took her leave.
"I guess I've heard this type of magic before. You basically have some sort of mana consists in your body. But to be able to manipulate this energy, you use an item imbued with magical properties, and then chant some keyword to brought out a certain skill. And each skill requires some points of willpower to be casted dependent on how powerful it is?" Sharot summed up his understanding.
"That is indeed correct." Guiche replied.
"Fireball!" Louise shouted. Sharot expecting a fireball coming out launching from her wand, instead she detonates her target with an explosion. Leaving a small crater on the spot while leaving the Valkyrie flattened before it disintegrating back to the earth. Sharot's scouter picks up a power reading from the spell. And he finally took a conclusion.
"See? I told you, Sharot. She is good for nothing." Guiche said disapproving. Both of them approaches the frowning girl.
"Well?" Louise shows an obvious displeased face.
"Well, my friend. Maybe it's not a successful attempt at a fire affinity magic, but it's definitely something." Sharot brushed off Guiche's words. "Rejoice, Master. You've successfully manipulated your willpower into a raw substance of energy!"
"Raw energy?" both Louise and Guiche said compactly.
"I already explained to you guys at the caf the other day, right? My power is not entirely magic. The majorities of warriors in my world's power revolves around Ki, a manipulation of the life energy inside every living being" Sharot explains. He raised his right hand, creating a ball of energy imbued with ice affinity. "It's true that it was an Ice Cannon technique I fired off before. But it still is a Ki manipulation technique. But the technique was developed by one of the magical wishing dragon that went rogue. But the base of it..." The orb shifted to a pure blue energy, dismissing the cold aura surrounding it. "Is a raw energy." both nobles can't help but in awe looking at the sights of a wandless magic in their eyes. "And fusing both magic and ki energy forms..." the energy slowly turns into a red flaming ball. He cupped the energy and throws the Burst Attack into the sky, creating a fiery explosion before it fades away. "Creates a more powerful technique." He continued.
"That's amazing, Sharot!" Guiche complimented Sharot which brought a nod and a grin from the Saiyan.
"Which...back at the topic. Louise somehow converts this magic energy into a raw, pure energy before launching itself as an offensive spell. The strongest of the existing elemental affinity, Explosion!" Sharot stated proudly.
"Explosion?" Louise never thought about it that way. She always thinking that the reason an explosion occurs is because it is a failed attempt at doing magic. The fact that this 'Explosion' might be a new branch of element is beyond her understanding.
"Isn't it great, Louise? For the first time in your life. You can usurp the title Zero as the one who wield zero element magic!" Guiche said encouraging his classmate
"He's right, Master. Instead of trying to the elemental affinities like those line or square-thing, I want you to master this special abilities of yours of converting willpower into ki energy! Start from the ground up like Explosion spell, then climb your way up to the techniques from my world." Sharot suggested lifting a finger proudly.
"Yeah... Alright, Familiar." The pinkette stretches her smile widely, making both guy look at eachother.
"Say... Louise. I think your familiar deserves something in return for him to be able to figure out what you can't. Don't you think so?" Guiche said tapping the Sharot's back.
"Oh...A reward?...uh-huh..." Louise is getting all flustered.
"Well, I'm not gonna act hypocritical like saying 'Oh I don't need a reward, your happiness is my command'. But umm..." Sharot raised his left hand, showing the familiar contract rune engraved on his backhand. "I want to make use of the magic of this world."
"I'm really sorry that these foods are merely just leftovers. But you sure are a very voracious noble, Sharot-sama." The huge muscular chef, Marteau, comments on a certain saiyan's appetite. The kitchen help sure can't help but in shock at how Siesta brought someone that can chow down an entire student's worth of leftover foods till there are stacks of empty plates.
"Oh come on. You can cut the formalities around me, Chef. It embarrasses me." Sharot responded before he digs another chicken.
"But you do deserve our respect, Sharot-sama. For someone of your status to vent our frustration at those noble brats really helps us commoner at ease. That we can finally work comfortably without anymore oppression ever since that incident." The chef and the other staff including Siesta gave a bow to the eating saiyan while saying 'Thank You' together.
"Glad I could be of service." The black haired young man smiled across his cheeks.
After finishing his supper, he gave his regards before heading out with his maid friend. He looks at the night sky, seeing the twin moon lighting the planet he's on. Though both moon is not in a full phase so that the saiyan won't turn into a great ape now that he got his tail back.
"I'm sorry for the trouble my appetite's brought in this late of night." Sharot said eating an apple from the bag of apples he is holding.
"No...no... It's our obligations to be of service for you. If you need any other help, you can ask us anytime. Everyone is already a fan of Sharot-sama." Siesta said with a smile.
"Well, the feeling is mutual here. If you guys need any help let them come to me, I'd be more happy to help." The saiyan wiggles his tail behind his cape. "Though...you people really has it really hard in this world, are you?" He asked questioning about the 'oppression' the chef mentioned before.
"Well it's true that we commoners can't do really much but to fulfill the wishes of the nobles." Siesta said stated the condition of her people.
"It is an inevitable fate for people in the country with an aristocratic form of government. I mean, my people used to have the same 'noble and commoner' thing defined by the power of a person. But I don't know, I never fully experienced that kind of government since it's in the past." Sharot said being sympathetic.
"I'm pretty sure the people in your world is very happy to have someone like you to protect them."
"Yeah. It's the privilege of a Time Patroller for those in need." The saiyan said clenching his fist proudly to the sky.
"Umm... Sharot-sama?" The maid walked in front of the tailed young man. "I would like to talk longer with you again sometime." she smiled broadly.
"Anytime." The saiyan gave a nod. He extended his right arm reaching for a fist bump. Siesta got flustered for a second before she returns the favor, bumping Sharot's fist. Both giving eachother a smile before separating their ways.
While on the way going back to his master's room, he's pondering again about the situation he is in. The fact that he was sent into this dimension must be not a mere coincidental. Nor if he was chosen as a familiar is the only reason he is here. He can't shake the feeling that something great must be calling his name. The feeling that some problem that cannot be handled by the people, even the gods in this reality. The sole reason he was chosen as Shenron's Champion to be the warrior of time, and now... space. His saiyan instincts flares wildly just thinking of the thoughts.
"ahh... I want an ice cream" He swipes his face with an apple on his right hand, wailing to the emptiness of the corridor.
He was brought back from his own fantasy when he heard a screech of an animal. He turned his head towards the source only to find a salamander entering his personal space. He threw the apple he was holding into the salamander's mouth before picking another from the bag.
"What is it, Flame?" Sharot asked to the eating salamander.
It chows down the apple in it's mouth then went to the saiyan's baggy pants, pulling it. Sharot just went along following where the salamander is pulling him. He finds himself inside a bedroom, where he see a dark skin woman in her very sexy pajamas crossing her arms standing before him.
"Welcome." She said in a very sexy demeanor. The twin red orbs of eyes she is staring at isn't responding. His expression is as flat as a cow, still stuffing his mouth with an apple. "Welcome to my sweet humble dorm room, Shariot. Or was it Shallot?"
"'Sharot'. The one you just mentioned is a different incarnation of me." He corrected his opposing interlocutor. Picking his last apple, squeezes the paper bag he's holding and puts it inside his pocket.
"Alright, Sharot." Kirche started to sexy pose, showing more of her slender body. "I know it's wrong, but my second name is 'The Fervent'. Like a torch, which burns easily."
"I don't understand what you're getting at." the saiyan playing dumb, fully understanding where the atmosphere is going. With the flirtatious tone and the lighting.
"Don't you understand? I'm falling in love for you." His deadpanned expression is clearly speaking 'called it' after hearing the Zerbst's words. "Love really always came so suddenly."
"Oh...yehhh... hoo huddenly." Sharot monotonously said with his mouth still munching food.
"That time when you defeated Guiche is...so cool~" she closes her gap with the so obviously uninterested young man, grabbing his hands. "After that, Kirche the Fervent has become Kirche the Lustful." She tried to reach for a kiss, when the saiyan is cockblocking himself.
"Aren't you the one that was being lovey-dovey with some dude the other day? Whatever happened to him?" He asked rethorically, staring the rednette deadpan.
"Kirche!" Speak of the devil. The mentioned guy shows up hovering on her window.
"Ara~ Styx." The girl turned her head. With Sharot tilted his body to look.
"You didn't come in time as promised. It turns out you did this instead." The man complaints.
"Then two more hours."
"That's completely different than what you said!"
Kirche raised her wand, casting a spell to control the fire from a candle to took a form of a snake before launching it to the guy's face. Sending him falling out from the window.
"Hey will he be all right? I think you just shot him from the third floor." Sharot finishes his apple. Noticing the guy she just fired at using some sort of levitation.
Before Kirche turn her attention back at the saiyan in front of her, another guy shows up at her window. And again, she shot the guy with another fire.
It goes on until another three boy shows up. Sharot simply walks away when Kirche is still talking to them. Before he's about to turn the doorknob, Louise kicks the door, barging in and shouting the rednette's name. Slamming the poor saiyan's face flat.
"We're busy, ValliƩre." Kirche pulls Sharot, who is still rubbing his slammed nose, closer to her, embracing his right arm.
"Zerbst. Whose familiar do you think this...is?"
Louise pulled the saiyan back to her side.
Sharot smacked his Master's head lightly, making her letting out a moan. "And whose Familiar's head you just slam? I'm having a hard time letting my guard down around you."
"And whose Master's head did you just smacked?" Louise reached for her Familiar's ear, pulling it.
"Ow...oww... It's an appropriate response for a bad master!" Sharot grabbed the pinkette's ear, doing the exact same thing. Both scuffles as if they are siblings.
"Clearly I can be a better Master for him! You're just being a hindrance to our love. Isn't that right, Sharot?" Kirche separated the two of them, hugging the Saiyan back.
"I'm sorry, but...no..." Sharot pulls himself away from her embrace. He gave a slight bow before stepping out from the door.
Looking at her Familiar's loyalty, Louise can't help but gave a smug at the Rednette's shocked face.
Kirche pouted as she saw the Zero walks out the door. "Hmph... I'm still not giving up."
"Then... care to explain as to why you ended up at Kirche's crib?" Louise looked at her Familiar's face with her eyebrows frowned.
"Depends. Are you gonna believe when I say 'I was asked to by her familiar'?" Sharot said putting a finger on his chin.
"Maybe if you said it with a straight face?" The Pinkette raised an eyebrow.
"Then yeah, that." Sharot facepalmed thinking how simple and stupid the truth sounds.
"Clearly you can't be trusted going everywhere alone. The second I took my eyes off you, you are already snatched away by some flirtatious girls. And now you're about to get taken away by a Zerbst." Louise shook her head. With her Familiar jokingly posing like a handsome guy. Being reminded that this is the fourth time the other students goes all over him.
"Well if you're summoned to an entirely new world alone, it would be a best move to start making friends. How is she a lot different?"
"Her Zerbst Residence and my ValliƩre Residence are great enemies! It would be an insult to think that even a strand of yarn or a Familiar got stolen by them. Understand?" She explained with her face being close to the saiyan. Only to be responded with a 'Roger' in a monotone voice. "Now go to sleep. We're waking up first thing in the morning. You said you want to go shopping." She walks to her bed, preparing to sleep.
"And you're paying." Sharot continues his Master's missing sentence. He's already prepping to wear his pajamas.
"Yes...Yes..." Louise turned with her back facing Sharot.
Sharot enters his bed, putting out the candle light with a small energy shockwave, thus ending the day.
