I woke up from my sleep in an unfamiliar room. I relaxed as soon as I realized where I was. I brushed my teeth, showered, and put my Slytherin robes on. I went to get some parchment and ink, which I used to write letters to Mad-Eye and the Scamanders. They went like this:

Dear Mad-Eye/ Newt, Tina, Leo, and Lyetta, Just as predicted, I was sorted into Slytherin house. I miss you, and want you to know I made one friend in fifth year. Her name is Bellatrix Black, and she has two sisters, Andromeda 3rd year and Narcissa 1st year, who don't like me. I met a really nice girl who was sorted into Ravenclaw. I hope we will be friends. Ruby Potter

I walked out of my bedroom, and started climbing the stairs to get out of the dungeons. I made it to the great hall, where I grabbed some breakfast. As I was about to leave, Slughorn handed me my timetable. I had Transfiguration and Astronomy with the Hufflepuffs, Potions and Charms with the Gryffindors, and History of magic, Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Ravenclaws. I left the Great Hall, and sent my letters with Artemis (her owl if you don't remember.)

I had Defense against the Dark Arts first, and I went to go find the classroom. I walked through the castle until I found a room with DADA on it. I entered and saw Bronwyn Lall, and I paled. You see, Bronwyn had been rejected by auror recruitment, due to my judgement, which she didn't know was also Tina's judgement. She left swearing she would pay me back for it. I quickly shifted my hair to a mousy brown with jade eyes, and made myself seem small.

She didn't pay me any attention, and I quickly took a seat near the back. As people came in, I spotted Pandora. I motioned for her to come it with me, which she did. "I didn't know you were a metamorphmagus," she said, "well regardless pleasure to re meet you Ruby."

"Want to be friends?" I asked her quickly.

"Sure," Pandora said, "you can call me Dora."

"Well Dora," I said, "we can wait a little before you choose a nickname for me. I have so many names to choose from. I'm Crystal Sapphire Jade Pearl Amethyst Emerald Ruby."

We talked a little before class started, and Lall spoke up. "My name is Professor Lall, and I will be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. I can assure you, as an ex-auror, I can teach you a lot." At the thought of their teacher being an auror the class started buzzing with noise.

"But you never qualified," I said pulling myself up, "Alastor Moody rejected you. I should know Professor, I was there."

"Reveal yourself," the clearly flustered Professor Lall called out, "who dares try to lie?"

"I'm not lying Professor," I said, "I'm the one who held the mock duel, I'm the one who made the decision about your qualification, I'm Ruby Potter."

Lall's face turned red, she pulled out her wand and said, "Well Potter, I said I'd get my revenge. Petrifius Totalus."

I reacted quickly sending a shield charm up, "Batus Mucus. Expelliarmus. Fulgari." she shielded the hex, but couldn't hold it up long enough to shield the charm, and was disarmed and bound. "Never mess with the kid whose gone to auror training," I said, and waved my wand casting that silvery thing from the wand shop, "tell Professor Slughorn there is an emergency in the DADA room."

My silver Basilisk left, and I went back to my seat. Pandora was shocked, and started begging me to teach her. The others were all saying I was some sort of dark witch. Professor Slughorn came in quickly, and took over the situation. He asked for the story, and after a lot of time he got it. "So you're telling me," he said rubbing his forehead, "that Ms. Lall lied on her resume', didn't go to auror training and has no defense experience, attacked a student, lost, was didarmed and boud, and a student did a talking patronus which was a mythical creature."

"Basically," I said.

"Well Ms. Potter I expect a lot from you. I'll take Ms. Lall to the ministry, and I want all of you to go to your next classes. Ms. Potter, do you think your Godmother or her husband could step in for a little?"

"I don't know," I said truthfully, "you'd have to ask them."

I split up with Pandora, and made my way to Transfiguration. I got lost twice, before I made it to the Transfiguration classroom. I sat down next to a Hufflepuff and said, "I'm Crystal Sapphire Jade Pearl Amethyst Emerald Potter, you are."

"Amelia Bones," she said.

"Wait, is your brother Edgar Bones?"

Yeah, how did you know?"

"My godfather is Alastor Moody, and I was the one who pushed Mad-Eye to accept him into auror training. Your brother is talented, and I'm sure you're the same."

She smiled and said, "Which of your names do you want me to call you."

"Call me Ruby for now, but my friend Pandora is choosing a nickname and whatever she chooses you can use."

We worked together well. I helped her on the transfiguration, a well known talent of the Potter family. I took her to meet Pandora and we sat in the library for about an hour and a half before we went to bed.
