Rescue-Chapter Six
"Wait, hold on! we can't just go rushing in." Carbine said, hands up and getting in front of their bikes.
"Why not? We do it all the time." Vinnie said.
"Ever heard the words, Fools rush in? We need a plan, genius." She replied.
"Where's the fun in that?" Vinnie frowned.
Carbine rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"She's right about this. Ten to one, The Big Cheese has probably got a trap waiting for us" Throttle said.
"So, what do we do?" Modo asked.
"Like Carbine says, we need a plan. And I just happen to have one." He said.
...
"You've done well, Limburger." Daniel told him.
"But of course, my dear hirsuite friend. Those moldy hamsters will come running to save their lady companions and we'll be ready for them. Carbunkle!" Limburger cried out to the deranged red haired doctor.
"You rang, Your OverRipeness?" The creepy doc asked.
"Is Operation Mousetrap ready?" He asked.
"Ready and operational, your Overrotundness. Once, those wretched Biker Mice ride their ridiculous bikes onto this spring, it will trigger this trap ending their miserable lives." Carbunkle cackled, as he hit a button on a remote control.
A hidden board flipped up and displayed what looked like a three slabbed platforms impaled with metal spikes. Carbunkle threw what looked like a teddy bear into it. The slabs impaled with metal spikes closed up over the bear crushing it. Pieces of cloth and cotton were scattered by the wind.
Limburger and Carbunkle laughed at the macabre spectacle. The three women shuddered at the sight. The mice were done for if they rode up to the entrance. The metal spikes would rip into their fur and flesh killing them instantly. There had to be a way to save them. But how?
...
Charley now looked up as Daniel and other members of the pack now walked into the chocolate shop. She, Vivica, and Aunt Agatha quietly observed them.
"Your biker friends caused me no end of trouble. Once they're eliminated, they'll be no one standing in my way. "Daniel said.
He leaned down next to Charley and cupped her chin with his hand.
"You will be mine." He told her.
He ripped off the tape covering her mouth. Before she could cry out, he covered her mouth with his. Vivica looked away in anger and disgust. Aunt Agatha had her head bend down.
Charley felt equally disgusted as this scumbag kissed her. Her revulsion grew as she felt his slimy tongue slip past her lips into her mouth. Then she felt his hand on her knee. Her skin crawled as his hand slipped up on her thigh and then he gripped it.
She pulled her other knee back and then her leg out, kicking him in the groin. He doubled over in pain.
"Keep your hands and everything else to yourself, pervert!" Charley glared at him.
Vivica grinned behind her duct taped mouth. A defiant gleam shown in her eyes. Daniel got what he deserved and she was glad.
"You dare to attack me? The leader of the pack?" Daniel challenged.
He struck Charley with the back of his hand. Vivica's eyes flashed anger. Aunt Agatha began pleading and mumbling behind the duct tape for Daniel to stop.
"That was one hit, my lover. Don't kick me again or I'll make things hard for you." Daniel warned Charley.
He then walked away.
Aunt Agatha began working to loosen the duct tape on her mouth. She succeeded.
"Oh, Charlene..."Her eyes welling up with tears as she stared at her niece's bloody lip.
"I'm okay, Aunt Aggie. I'll live." Charley moaned, "Man, can that guy hit."
"You haven't seen the worst of him. He's a monster. I wish he had never seen you."
"Why did you stay with someone like that, Auntie?"
"I didn't have any choice. I was raised in the pack from a cub to obey all of the leader's laws without question. I was taught that the outside world hated us. That we have no immediate family but the pack. Therefore, everyone in the pack has to stick together no matter what."
"What about Vivica?"
"She was also raised in the pack. She's their property just as I am and no one has any say so but Daniel. I was a young woman when he chose me to be his bride. I couldn't have refused even if I wanted to. Then after seven years, I was replaced with someone younger. When you're raised in the pack, you're expected to obey their laws no matter how unfair they are."
"You don't have to put up with that creep. You can leave Romania."
"And go where? There's no place we can go where the pack can't track us down. Not only that, we're werewolves. The world would never accept us."
"I would. The guys would. You're my family. The only ones besides the guys that I have left."
"If we could only have peace..." Her aunt murmured, wistfully staring off into the distance.
"My guys will save the day. They'll help us. I know they will." Charley replied.
...
The Biker Mice and Carbine rode towards a building adjacent to the chocolate shop. They kept out of sight. Then they got off their bikes. They observed the chocolate shop and saw a two male members of the pack pacing in front of it.
"Ok, bros and lady, here's the plan. The back of the shop will be where we'll make our entrance. Vinnie, you distract and lead those guards away while the rest of us put our plan into motion.
"What a rush!" Vinnie was about to holler in excitement when Throttle shushed him.
"Not so loud, Sitting Bull. We don't want those wolf boys to see us." Throttle told him.
"Buzzkill." Vinnie murmured.
The white mouse began riding up to the entrance of the chocolate shop. Charley saw him on a surveilance camera in the shop and tried to get up to warn him. Unfortunately, her whole body was tied to the metal chair by a thick rope. She struggled and wrestled to get free.
"Vinnie!" Charley cried out.
"Charley-girl? Hold on, Sweetheart! I'm coming!" Vinnie said, racing towards the shop.
"NO! It's a trap!" She screamed.
"Gag her quickly!" Daniel told one of his werewolves.
One of them wrapped a gag around her mouth covering it. Charley continued to struggle to get free but the rope held her fast to the chair.
"Vinnie...I have to save him." She thought, despairingly.
Fortunately, Vinnie heard her warning and stopped short. He saw at least two members of Limburger's Goon Squad coming towards him werewolves in dune buggies carrying shotguns.
"No, you fools, get back!" Limburger cried out.
"We'll get that mouse! Limburger will reward us!" One goon in a dune buggy told another.
"You can try, Sweetheart. But it ain't gonna happen!" Vinnie said, pressing a button on his bike.
A small missile came out blasting the dune buggy. The goon jumped out as his burning dune buggy struck the hidden board setting off the trap meant for the mice. The spikes ripped the dune buggy apart more. It struck the engine causing it to erupt into a loud, fiery explosion.
"Whoa! Talk about going out in a blaze of glory!" Vinnie said.
"My turn. My lords, get that rodent!" Daniel cried out.
Several wolves now converged on the helmeted mouse biker.
"So you wanna play tag? Then you're all it!" He said, doing a pop wheelie as he rode off.
The wolves followed him.
While he was having a blast, Vinnie saw he was in an impossible situation. He wanted to rescue Charley but he also didn't want to foul up the rescue plan he and his bros had planned. His job was to distract and lure their enemies away. And that's just what he intended to do.
"Sweetheart, I'll save you. That's a promise." He thought to himself.
...
"Okay, that's the signal." Throttle said, as he, Modo, and Carbine watched him go.
Throttle handed a large arrow tied to a rope to Modo who put one end of it into his cybernetic arm cannon.
"Do it, Modo!" Throttle said.
The large mouse fired. The arrow struck the top of the chocolate shop. Throttle tied the other end to the top of an adjacent building. He handed Carbine a pulley.
"You know what to do, babe." He told her.
"Go through the window and untie the prisoners." She said, placing the pulley on the rope.
"Then Modo and me will rush in for some much needed tail-whipping." Throttle replied, grinning.
"Wish me luck."
She slid across the rope in mid-air and went to an open window. She was sitting on the ledge. With a device that resembled a flat head screwdriver, she pried open the window. She somersaulted into the room and into a fighting stance. Carbine had to be careful. The place was crawling with werewolves in human form. She soon found her prisoners tied up in the kitchen. They were guarded by werewolf guards.
Fortunately, the wolves were too distracted by the antics of the white mouse. Carbine squatted herself down and was crawling around on all fours. She saw a knife stained with melted dried chocolate on the top of a small bowl stained with the same chocolate. Charley at the same time saw the general. The general motioned for Charley to be quiet. She grabbed the knife and carried handle between her teeth.
She managed to crawl behind the chair containing the auburn haired mechanic. Carbine was frantically using the knife to cut the ropes that bound Charley's hands. Charley felt the rope loosen and then fall off her body.
"First, we have to save my aunt and cousin." Charley told Carbine, "Then the guys."
Suddenly, they heard a click behind them. Rayford had a gun pointed at them.
"The only thing you two are going to be doing is surrendering. And don't try any funny stuff, Ms. Davidson." He said, observing Charley eying his gun.
"Or you'll what? Kill me? Then your boss will be without a bride." Charley said.
"Very clever, my dear g-" He began, then was shocked as Carbine karatekicked the gun out of his hand and then backkicked him in the stomach.
He doubled over. Carbine got his gun.
"Okay, on your feet." She ordered, aiming the gun at him.
"Now untie these people." Charley ordered him.
He did as he was told. Soon, Vivica and Aunt Agatha were untied. More wolves came in and Charley threw a pot of melted chocolate at their feet.
"Hey, watch it! That's milk chocolate! I paid good money for that!" Her aunt called out.
"Would you prefer they catch us?" She asked her aunt.
"Oh, well. It was a cheaper brand."
Some of the wolves went slipping and slidding on the slippery chocolate sauce. Others transformed into wolves and jumped from wall to wall. Then more wolves came in and surrounded the four women.
"Okay, I feel like I'm in some real life horror movie." Carbine said.
"Any ideas?" Charley asked, as she and the other women stared at the wolves.
"I've got one." Vivica said.
She and Aunt Agatha stared at each other. Then they transformed into wolves. They bared their pointed teeth at the other growling wolves.
"You dare to bare your teeth at us?" One of the wolves questioned, "You two better know your place."
"Don't you realize Daniel is using you? All he cares about is what he desires. He cares nothing for the pack." Vivica said.
"You are wrong. Daniel's laws have always protected and shielded us from the outside world. We have a loyalty to him. He has also chosen a mate who will bear him children who will grow up to lead us." Rayford said.
"I won't let Daniel have her." Aunt Agatha said, motioning her head at Charley, "I won't let you take her."
"You have no say in the matter, old woman. Daniel has chosen her as his bride. They will wed this night."
Suddenly, a loud crash as the wall fell in. A large gaping hole was all that was left as Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo crashed in on their bikes.
"Don't bet on it, wolfie!" Throttle said.
The mice had just finished going through some of the wolf pack plus Limburger's Goon Squad. They beat them up good.
The wolves were charging at them when Vinnie threw one of his flares. Wolves were thrown through the air by the force of the explosion. Then the white mouse walked up to Charley.
"Sweetheart, are you okay-what happened to your lip?" He asked, touching her bleeding lip with one fingertip.
"It's nothing." She said, quickly pressing a handkerchief on it.
"Daniel decided to leave his calling card after she refused his company." Vivica explained.
"So where is the S.O.B. now?" He asked.
"I'm right here." Daniel now walked up to the mice, "We meet at last."
"You hit my girl." Vinnie began, with an angry scowling face.
" Yeah, so what? Women are like rugs. You beat them-"
Before he could say anymore, a large white furry fist socked full in the face. His nose was bleeding and a lot of his teeth were broken out.
"You busted my nose!" He exclaimed, in shock.
"Sure did. Now apologize to the lady." Vinnie said, grabbing him by his collar and shoving him towards Charley.
"I won't."He murmured.
"Oh, yeah?"
Vinnie hit him again then shoved him towards Throttle and Modo.
"Looks like we gotta teach this scum some manners. What do you say, bros?" Throttle asked, grabbing him by the collar.
"Fine by me." Modo said.
"I'm game if you are, bro." Vinnie said.
"Agatha, Vivica. Do your duty to the pack and protect me." Daniel told them.
The two women simply stood still and did nothing.
The mice took turns punching him then Vinnie twisted his arm behind his back.
"Apologize." Vinnie said.
"I apologize." He groaned.
Vinnie then shoved him away.
"Thanks, Vinnie. It's the nicest thing you've ever done for me." Charley beamed, kissing the white mouse on the cheek.
Red blushes shown into his furry face.
"And speaking of doing, isn't there something you need to tell me, Throttle?" Carbine asked him.
The tan furred mouse's grin vanished from his face.
"Oh, yeah...I do. Will you all excuse us for a second?" He said, leading Carbine outside.
"Oh, boy. Is Throttle in trouble." Charley murmured.
"What happened?" Modo asked.
"It's my fault. I asked him to help get Mom out of Romania and we got close." Vivica replied, looking nervous.
"You mean y'all did the nasty?" He asked, grinningly.
"It was a mistake." Vivica said.
"I'll say."
"This isn't funny, Vinnie! This is very serious." Charley said.
"Oh, mama. I sure wouldn't want to be Throttle's boots right now." Modo mused.
...
To say Carbine was angry was an understatement. She was beyond triggered.
"How could you-?" She screamed.
She threw out his whip to strike him with it when he caught it. He yanked it out of her hand and threw it to the side.
"Carbine, I'm sorry. I made a huge mistake." Throttle told her, "You don't know how much I've missed you."
"So much that you decided to screw the first female you could get your hands on?!" She yelled.
"It wasn't like that!" He yelled back.
"Really? You told me you weren't cheating on me. You obviously lied."
"I didn't lie. I wasn't cheating at the time. Then one night, I got hurt and Vivica helped me. One thing led to another and it just happened. It never should've have."
"No duh."
"I'm really sorry. I'd give anything to take it back."
"So what happens now? You start dating her?"
"I don't love her. I love you."
"Yeah, well, you should've thought about that before you ran around on me with another girl."
"Carbine..."
He reached out to touch her but she pulled away from him. His hand dropped to his side.
"No. It's over, Throttle. You and me are done." She said, in a firm cold voice, hands in the air.
Before he could say anything else, she turned on her heel and walked away. Throttle looked sad and bowed his head against a wall. This turned out to be the worst day of his life.
