Chapter 6. Redbone
Raph had been awake for a while. He was laid on his side watching KJ as she slept. He was mesmerized by her. This was something he had never imagined. To be laid next to a woman, any woman, never mind a woman that looked like her.
His eyes fell over her body. The fabric of her pj's fell into her curves carving out the hour glass figure that he loved so much. He brought his gaze back up to her face and quietly memorized every tiny pore, every freckle and every inch of her skin and features just incase this was to never happen again.
He had already witnessed her giggle in her sleep, this automatically made him melt as did the little noises she made when she smiled while dreaming.
There was no doubting now that he was lost in her. Whatever it was that was building inside him, this feeling of excitement, he was prepared to let it take over him and be at its mercy. He would keep it private, however. He wasn't ready to share this with anybody other then her, not until he was sure of how she felt. Obviously, he had a very good idea due to what had happened between them the night before, but until they were able to have a serious, adult conversation about it nobody else needed to know, and he kinda liked having something that he could call his.
KJ stretched and turned over away from him. He smiled but was a little disappointed that he couldn't see her face anymore. His eyes moved to the ceiling and he let out a sigh before sitting up and looking back at her. He could see her arms and hands wrapped up in her chest, assuming she was cold he pulled the covers up and wrapped them around her shoulders. He smiled at her again. He then stood up and let the towel he had covering his manhood drop wherever it may. He picked up the clothes that KJ had washed for him and proceeded to put them on then headed to the door. He took one more look at the beauty in her bed then carefully and quietly made his way through the door to the hall.
He closed the door behind him and made his way to the living room and kitchen area. As he got there he saw Mikey passed out, half dressed on one of the couches. There were soda cans, beer bottles and pizza boxes all over.
Raph grinned and shook his head at his little brother. He then looked to the kitchen area and noticed Lucy at the dining room table, glaring at him.
"Mornin'" he said sheepishly.
She rolled her eyes and looked back at her monitor. Raph took a deep breath in through his nose. This wasn't going to be easy.
He made his way over to the red head, "…you workin?"
She gave him a side glance but carried on typing away as if he weren't there.
He took another deep breath trying to keep his composure as he moved to the other side of her.
"…I'm talkin to ya…"
She carried on typing and furrowed her brow, "And?" she snapped not wanting to be drawn into a conversation with him.
He couldn't help it, he snapped, he grabbed and spun her toward him making her have no choice but to acknowledge him.
"…I said, are yer workin?" a growl rumbled in his chest.
She gave him a startled look "…no, but…"
Before she could say anything else he slammed her main laptop closed making her jump in the process. He then sat down on the chair next to her, jolting her chair at the same time, putting it into a position where she couldn't move it back and away from him. The two stared at each other angrily.
"I'm sorry I threw ya…" he spat, finding it painful to say. His apology had gone differently in his head, he wanted it to be genuine, this was KJ's younger sister after all, and it was important that he did this right. He had however forgotten how stubborn this girl was and now found himself saying sorry as if it were being kept unwantedly at the back of his throat.
She folded her arms and looked away from him, he had really pissed her off. How hard had he thrown her? Had he hurt her or something? He was a big guy and didn't know the true force of his strength. He watched her body language for a moment, he new that this could go on for however long she wanted, she wasn't gonna budge.
"Ya know what? Fuck this!" he jolted her chair again as he got up and moved over to the kitchen.
Lucy bit her lip and her eyes darted around the area he had moved from. She knew KJ liked this guy and she owed it to her to try and get along with him for her sake. She quickly scratched her forehead before turning on her chair to look at him.
"My sister likes you," she said, stopping Raph in his tracks, "…do you like her?"
He turned to look back at her and nodded slightly. He had wanted to keep his feelings for KJ between him and her, but if opening up to KJ's sister was gonna gain her trust, it was a small price he was willing to pay.
"…you're not gonna mess her around are you? Because she's had enough of that shit."
What was it with these chicks?! Neither of them seemed to be bothered that they were mutants, it was all about feelings and "Don't hurt my sister!" shit. There was never any stuff like, "Hey, you're a mutant, stay the fuck away, your not fully human so this can't happen!" bullshit. When it came to women it seemed that they had hit the jackpot!
He shook his head back at her.
"Good!" she snapped, "…cos I have to warn you, I might not be as muscley as you, or as big as you, or kung foo as you, but… I will cut you!"
Raph took a deep breath trying to hold in a huge belly laugh. There was no way that this young woman would ever beat him or hurt him in any way shape or form, but he was absolutely positive that she would try! He liked this about her, she was confident and full of sass, just like her sister.
"Really? You'd cut me?" he smirked as he made his way over to the fridge, he opened the door and pulled out two bottles before making his way back to the table.
"Go on, laugh!" she said as she watched his lip curl, "…I'm scrappy! And when it comes to my sister you better believe that I will do what I say!"
Raph sat back down in the chair he was sat in a moment ago and faced her again. He had to admit that he liked this girl. She had spirit and guts and even though it was blatantly obvious that she would never win in a physical fight between her and him, or his brothers, she was the type of girl that would give her all to try. There was potential there he thought.
He had a bottle of water for himself and placed the other bottle, a bottle of pineapple juice, in front of her. He had observed her while she was giving him shit and knew that it was what she'd been drinking.
"Oh, I believe you, its just…" he smiled a little, "…you and your sister are alike, ya know that?"
"Well, derr!" she said as she took the bottle, she opened it then took a drink before putting the lid back on and setting it down.
The two looked at one another as Raph took a drink from his water too. There was a little awkward silence before Lucy sighed.
"…its ok ya know…" said Lucy as they continued to exchange looks, "…about throwing me I mean. I was over it about an hour after it happened, I just… I have a temper and I hold grudges according to K. It's something I'm working on."
Raph chuckled to himself, "yeah, you and me both kid!"
They continued to look at each other, both starting to warm up to the other, but were interrupted by Mikey who'd started to stir on the couch.
"Mikey wasn't an issue last night, was he?" Raph asked quietly.
Lucy shook her head, "No. All I remember was him trying to bet me 20 bucks that he could climb the wall using only his lips…"
Raph smirked and squeezed between his eyes. Mikey never disappointed.
"…then I woke up in my bed this morning." She continued.
Raph looked over to his little brother and smiled. Mikey was a saint. He had taken Lucy to her bed and then been a gentleman and slept on the couch.
"Your sis told me that you kinda like Mike?" said Raph, he studied her as he spoke.
Lucy's head snapped back to look at the red brute. Her mouth opened to speak but she just looked around hopelessly, not being able to get any words out.
Raph smiled, he didn't need her to answer, it was pretty obvious.
"…If its any consolation, he's crushing on you too, bad!"
Lucy's eye's widened.
"Mornin KJ!" chirped Mikey, he gave a stretch and a yawn as KJ appeared at the hall entrance. She was fully dressed and smiling away.
"Morning Mike, morning guys!" she said as she saw Raph and Lucy.
Mikey shot up when he realised that Lucy was awake and in the room, he hadn't seen his brother, or his crush sat at the table.
Lucy shyly looked away from Mikey after the two made eye contact. She looked back at Raph who winked at her reassuringly before she stood up, "…I'll make some coffee."
Raph's eyes moved from Lucy to KJ and the two of them smirked at one another. Raph was hungry, but not for food, KJ was looking hot!
Pulling herself away from his gaze KJ moved into the kitchen space with Lucy and proceeded to get things ready to make breakfast.
Mikey walked over to the kitchen island then sat on one of the stools as did Raph.
Raph looked at his little brother who's staring was starting to become a bit of an issue. Raph nudged him gently getting his attention. He gave Mike a look and he knew what it was for, he was stopping him from looking stupid.
Lucy didn't notice, she was too busy trying to get some dishes from the top shelf of the cupboard but couldn't reach, she sighed with frustration.
"I'll get them," said KJ as she tried to stretch to reach the same dishes.
Raph could see her struggling so went to her aid and reached up over her.
Not expecting him to be there KJ stood back a little, her rear backing in to his bulge. The electricity between them sparked once again. Raph's breath hitched as he felt her softness against him. He passed the dishes to her and she placed them down on the work surface before Lucy picked them up and moved them to the island in front of Mikey.
Raph, still with one hand on the high shelf struggled to hold back a growl as KJ, now feeling their bodies together, put her head back against his plastron and gently rolled her hips against his. He closed his eyes and lowered his head into the nook of her neck breathing her in.
"I think we have enough dishes now," said Lucy awkwardly, trying to discreetly snap the two out of their dream like embrace.
The two separated quickly and proceeded to move away from each other. Raph turned and looked to Lucy, he was grateful for the intervention but annoyed at the same time, he knew, and Lucy knew that he and KJ needed to go away and talk. However, the want to keep this between him and KJ a secret was fast becoming public knowledge. Lucy knew and had known for some time that the two were involved, Mikey would need to be told too if Raph and KJ were to have any public displays of affection while at the girls apartment, that was of course if KJ returned his feelings.
First thing first, Raph needed to talk to Mikey.
Raph looked to his brother who had fallen back into the spell of staring at Lucy again. Lucy had gone into her shell after Raph had let her know that Mikey had a thing for her, she was now avoiding eye contact with the orange clad turt. So, to kill two birds with one stone, Raph decided that he would tell Mikey about his thing with KJ and then tell him that Lucy was aware of his feelings for her and that she liked him back.
"Yo, Mikey!" said Raph as he got back his brothers attention, Mikey looked over and smiled, "…ya got a sec?"
Mikey jumped off his stool and made his way over to his big bro. The two wandered off over to the top of the stair case that led down to the huge space on the ground floor.
"Sup bra?" said Mikey as he leant his shell against the metal railings, looking back at Lucy as she and KJ continued to get breakfast ready.
"I need to tell yer somthin, but it's between us, ok?" this made Mikey turn to him quickly, he loved being included in secrets, he couldn't always keep them but it's not to say he wouldn't try, "…no telling Leo or Donnie or Case or April for that matter, yer hear?"
Mikey nodded frantically.
"So, me and KJ, we kinda have a thing goin on,"
Mikey lifted a brow, "…what kinda thing?"
"Well, erm, we've sorta been fooling around, ya know, kinda…"
Mikey looked at him confused.
"…we, well, we might be getting together, kinda like the way you wanna get together with Lucy."
The biggest smile grew on Mikey's face.
"Wow! Really bro? That's awesome!" he and Raph fist bumped, Mikey nudged his older brother, and a smirk grew of Raph's face.
"But anyways, I wanted to tell yer because we might get a little closer while you and Lucy are around, I dint want yer to freak out about it, is all."
"Ah, no way bra!" said Mikey cheerfully, "…I didn't even know anything was goin on with you two, I mean, I could definitely tell there was tension, but for you two to get together, that's great dude!"
"Well, it's been kinda complicated," said Raph as he looked over to the sisters, "…me and her, we haven't really talked about it yet, I don't really know what she's thinkin if I'm honest, its too early to put a label on it, ya know? I just wanna keep it on the low until I know."
Mikey nodded, "Good stuff, good stuff. Well, ya can count on me bud, I wont say a word!"
They bumped knuckles again as they both looked back at the girls laughing in the kitchen, both doing funny dances to the music on the radio.
"Thanks lil' bro," said Raph, "…so, you and Lucy, what's happenin there?"
"Ah bro, what isn't?" he said with a confident smile, "…she is so on my kinda level, she's funny and beautiful and smart, we had the best time last night bra!"
"Yeah? You liking her then?" Raph lifted a brow and looked at the hyped up terrapin.
"Hell yeah!" smiled Mikey with a giggle, "…I'm just workin my magic bro, waiting for my time to shine!"
Raph nodded, "well, yer might wanna work that magic a little quicker there Mike, she knows yer like her!"
Mikey's smile disappeared and he swallowed hard and looked back at his brother.
"Huh, what?"
Raph grinned "…she kinda likes you too bud."
Mikey looked at Raph in disbelief, "Really bro? are you playin with me?"
Raph shook his head, "…straight up, KJ told me, and Lucy pretty much confirmed it earlier,"
Mikey swallowed again; his mouth was suddenly dry.
"Holy shit!" he had a slight panic in his voice as he looked to the red head bouncing around in the Kitchen, "…what do I do?"
Raph shrugged, "…do yer need to do anything? Yer both really good at the minuet, just let things happen. You know and she knows, just ride it out, don't push it, act normal… if that's possible."
Raph turned and leant over on the metal railings.
"Yeah? Yeah! Ok, your right bro!" Mikey's smile reappeared. He turned and did the same thing as his brother. The two looked at each other and smiled.
"Dude?" said Mikey, "…do we like have, girlfriends?"
Raph couldn't help the grin taking over his face, and he nodded, "I guess bro,"
The two suddenly turned into giddy little boys play wrestling for a moment through excitement.
"This is unbelievable!" said Mikey as they went back to leaning over the railings. "…dude, I never thought that this would ever happen!"
"Me either!" Raph was also excited but made sure to keep their noise low. "…I mean, I never thought I'd kiss anyone, let alone a girl like KJ, and I never thought I'd kiss the way she let me kiss her!"
"No way bra! You kissed? What was it like?" Mikey was buzzin!
"Ah man, there's no way to describe it, it was amazing!" Raph looked ahead dreamily, "…and her body is perfect, and her boobs…"
"Holy shit bro! you've seen her boobs?!" Mikey put his hands on his head in disbelief and danced around on the spot for a second before returning back to his brother, "…bro! you have gone where no Turtle has ever gone before!"
Raph put his finger to his lips trying to hush his giddy brother, but he couldn't deny that he loved sharing this with him.
"Wait a sec," Mikey's tone was suddenly different and he and Raph looked at one another, "…can we, ya know, can we do things? With them? With us been different I mean, can we, fit? With humans?"
Raph was lying if he said he hadn't already thought about this, but he didn't know, did any of them? They could maybe speak to Donnie about it, but he wouldn't be 100%. Maybe the only way to find out for sure was to actually try!
"I dunno," said Raph looking at a now deflated Mikey, "…all's we can do is try, I suppose."
Mikey smiled, "Being stuck down in the sewers, no one knows about us. I guess I always hoped, wished that something like this would happen but I wasn't gonna hold my breath, I knew that the odds were like zero, I mean com'on, what kinda girls fall for mutants, what kinda girls would even give us a second look?!"
Raph looked to his little bro, no one deserved to be loved more then him. He put his arm around him and gave him a brotherly squeeze.
"These kinda girls Mike," they both looked over to the two happy smiley girls in the kitchen, "…looks like you got your wish Mikey, looks like we both did."
The two gave each other a smile then made their way back into the living room and kitchen area.
(in the Kitchen)
"What do ya suppose they're talking about?" Lucy asked KJ as she took a bite from her toast and looked over to the turtle brothers at the top of the stairs.
KJ popped a grape into her mouth and followed her sisters stare, "Probably us. You do know that Mikey likes you right? As in 'fancies' you!"
Lucy rolled her eyes, "I know, Raph told me, I'm on edge now, I don't want things to change between me and Mikey, I don't want there to be an issue because of this."
"Well don't let an issue come of it," KJ shrugged as she picked up the bowls of fruit in front of her and moved them over to the kitchen island. "…just go with it, he likes you, you like him, let it go where it's meant to go."
Lucy moved more plates over to the island filled with toast and eggs and bacon.
"So, you and Raph looked cosey this morning when I came into the kitchen," KJ smirked, "…should I be worried?"
Lucy chuckled, "As if! But I must admit, I'm starting to like the guy. And, so long as he treats you good then that's all that matters to me!"
KJ looked at her sister and gave her a kiss on the cheek, Lucy immediately rubbed where she'd kissed her and screwed up her face.
"…besides, he's got a constant hard on for you…"
KJ grinned and took a sip of her coffee while her and Lucy locked eyes.
"…don't pretend like you don't know!" continued Lucy as she turned the music up on the radio and started to do a little jig, "…you need to speak with him, ya know that right? And not just about you and him, there's other stuff that needs, explaining"
KJ nodded and the two knowingly smiled.
"Don't you think that this is exciting?" said KJ changing the subject.
Lucy's eyes darted around before going back to her sister.
"…we have met these wonderful creatures, and possibly found something that nobody else has ever found before, and there's these mutual connections between us and them, a lot of it is on a sexual level!"
Lucy laughed at her sisters excitement.
"Oh my god!" said Lucy as she spun with the music, "…its all sex with you! That's what got you into trouble in the first place, remember?! I hope Raph can keep up with your sex drive!"
KJ rolled her eyes as she tugged on her little sisters arm, pulling her in for a hug and a dance.
"I know but this, whatever it is with him., It's like nothing I've ever felt before. It's like I've met my match, like everything that's happened in the past has led up to this, to him."
The two danced for a moment with Lucy trying to escape her sisters arms, KJ did this when she was happy but even though Lucy was younger she was always the voice of reason when her older sister needed it or not.
Lucy play fought with KJ for a minute before she let go and carried on cutting up fruit, "So, what's happening with you and Raph?" she asked as she carried on jigging, "Are you fuck buddies? Are you just friends, or do you want to be, dare I say it? A couple?"
"I think it's more complicated than that," said KJ as she glanced over quickly to Raph then back to her sister, "…its not like I'd be dating a regular guy, ya know? They go out and fight crime and do all of this secret stuff, I mean, will they be able to accommodate us? They lead very different lives to us, they have only had themselves to worry about, they have never had girlfriends before, or had sex!"
Lucy almost choked on her coffee.
"Wait, what? They're virgins?" whispered Lucy.
KJ gave her a look, "…come on Lucy, Turtles? Mutants? Other then April we are the only females they've ever been around, Raph told me so."
"So, can they, ya know? Can they have sex? Oh my god! What are their dicks like?!" Lucy's eyes widened.
She snatched her phone from her pocket and googled Turtle dicks!
"Well, from my experience, big! They are big!" smirked KJ as she watched Lucy search on her phone, "…god, we are so fucked up!"
They both looked at the pictures and giggled like naughty school girls fascinated and surprised by what they were looking at.
"Whatcha lookin at ladies?" a voice came from behind them. It was Mikey.
The girls both let out little shrikes as Mikey and Raph made them jump. Lucy quickly went onto another google page to what they had been looking at and shoved her phone back into her pocket.
"Just something funny on TikTok," said KJ as her and Raph's eyes connected, "…one of those funny reaction vids."
Raph smiled as he climbed onto the kitchen stool. Both KJ and Lucy did the same then KJ started to dish out the food.
Mikey was hovering around the kitchen island picking at the food, he then walked over to where the tv and coffee table were.
"Ya know, I think we could do with some music while we eat." He said as he messed around with his iPhone for a moment while everyone else carried on eating and chatting leaving Mikey to do what he wanted.
Suddenly the music started and Raph's eyes widened as he recognized the song.

Mikey turned around dramatically and started walking coolly towards Lucy. Raph put his hand on his forehead dragging his fingers down his face in embarrassment.
Lucy and KJ looked up at Mikey as he gave Lucy a smoldering look and a wink.
"You like the song?" he slid up to her at her side of the kitchen island.
She looked at him confused then back to Raph who was pinching between his eyes, he looked in pain.
"Yeah, I suppose," she said looking back at Mike, "…what is it?"
Mikey looked at her stunned and Raph opened one eye to look at her,
"You've, you've never heard it before?" asked Mikey looking a little deflated.
Lucy shook her head.
Raph looked to KJ.
"How bout you KJ, you heard it before?" he asked resting his hands back on the work surface.
KJ shook her head too.
"Thank god!" Raph said in relief, he got up quickly and dragged Mikey down the hall to the bathroom.
"Wait," said Lucy as she looked at KJ, "…am I supposed to know what's going on?"
Raph pushed Mikey into the bathroom that led to KJ's bedroom. Mikey bounced against the towel cupboard as Raph slammed the door behind them.
"What the fuck are u trying to pull out there Mikey?" Raph snapped.
"Hey, I'm trying to work my magic bro! you said that I needed to step it up a bit!"
Raph shook his head at his brother, "I didn't mean like that! That whole thing was creepy as hell, thank god Lucy didn't know what was goin on!"
"What?" said Mikey, still not understanding what he was so upset about.
"That song, the whole concept behind it is about sex, about porn, Lucy doesn't know that but if she did, and if KJ did, then that would have been game over for both of us!"
Mikey still looked confused and Raph sighed.
"Look, Mike, just be you, ok? You said that you and her had the best time last night, just relax and let it happen naturally, there's no need to push it. You don't want to ruin this."
Mikey rubbed the back of his head trying to think.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, "Hey, you guys ok?" it was KJ. Raph opened the door and she slid into the bathroom with them. She looked up at Raph and smiled then looked at Mikey.
"You know Mike, you don't need to put on a show for Lucy," she said softly.
"Does she know you're in here?" he asked, feeling a little stupid.
"She thinks I've just come to use the bathroom."
Mikey nodded.
"She didn't notice anything if you're worried, she has no idea what was going on or what that song means, but I did." She continued.
Both Raph and Mikey snapped their heads up to look at her.
"…I didn't want to embarrass her, so I didn't say anything," she looked at Raph who nodded.
Mikey put his head down but KJ lifted it with her hands, "Lucy likes you, stop trying so hard, ok?"
They looked at each other and he smiled, "Ok."
She looked back at Raph, "Mikey, can me and Raph have a chat?"
Mikey looked at her then at his brother and grinned, "Yeah! No probs!" he quickly scarpered from the room and Raph went to close the door.
"Hey angelcakes! I'm back!"
Raph rolled his eyes as he heard Mikey make his way back to Lucy. He turned to see that KJ had made her way into her room using the other bathroom door and he followed.
As he made his way in he turned and closed the door behind him then turned back.
"I'm sorry about Mikey, he's just over…"
Suddenly a force hit him as KJ jumped on him crashing her lips to his. His eyes widened, taken by surprise as KJ hung on to him, her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck. Realizing now what was happening he kissed her back passionately, turning and pushing her against the wall, she pulled away and giggle excitedly as he grabbed her butt, lifting her higher, they then continued to kiss and feel at one another's bodies.
Raph's conversation with Mikey popped up in his head. He didn't know what was happening between them and even though he wanted her badly, he liked her. It wasn't just sex, he wanted more then that, and until he knew what she wanted, other then what was happening right here and right now, he didn't want to take advantage.
"Woah, woah, just a sec, hold up," He pulled away and gently put her down.
She let go of him and watched as he adjusted himself in his shorts, obviously trying to contain his new erection. He moved over to the bed and sat on the edge and the two looked at each other. KJ rubbed her lips with her finger, feeling a little embarrassed.
"I'm sorry," said Raph, "…fuck knows I want this, but I'm…" he took a deep breath as he looked at this gorgeous creature in front of him, "…I like you, like really like you and I don't want to dance around this anymore. What is this? What's going on with us?"
KJ sighed, he'd asked exactly what she wanted to ask him, a little sooner then she'd have liked but still, they did need to discuss it.
"Well, what do you want to happen?" she said with a little shrug as she walked over to sit on the bed next to him.
Raph side glanced her, "I think I asked first,"
Her eyes widened, she looked at him and he grinned a little.
"Ok," she said, "Well, I suppose its difficult for me to say, I have questions and due to past relationships I don't wanna be messed around and until I know that isn't the case and I'm clear on what you want then I…"
"I want you!" Raph butted in, "…as a girlfriend, or whatever you wanna call it, so long as it means your mine…"
KJ looked up at him again, shocked with the sudden outburst but so turned on.
"…whatever you want me to be I'll be it. All's I know is your like a drug to me, I cant get enough of you, of how you make me feel or what you do to me. It might be because I've never been with anyone in this way or any way before, and that this is all new to me but all I know is that I want you and I'll take you any way you'll let me have you."
KJ's heart was aching. No human male had ever said anything like this to her ever. He was clear and honest and that's all she wanted.
"…that clear enough for yer?" Raph side glanced her again and she nodded.
The two sat in silence for a moment.
"I want you too, in the exact way that you said!" KJ fiddled with her fingers a little as he turned to look at her. He didn't know what to expect and he certainly wasn't expecting this, for her to return his feelings so easily.
"…I went to a medium once and she told me that when I meet the perfect guy for me I'd know, there'd be no mistaking. I have had my share of relationship and no one has ever made me feel this way before…"
Raph's eyes were glued to her lips as she spoke, he had never in a million years thought that anyone would be saying this kind of stuff to him and mean it.
"…from the moment I saw your silhouette in the tunnel that night when you rescued me, there was something. It has never bothered me that you're a mutant, a turtle. All I know is that what ever this is between us is right."
The two looked at each other and smiled.
"So, what does that mean?" Raph chuckled.
KJ chuckle back. They had told one another what they wanted and how they felt but neither of them had put a label on it.
"Look, you said you had questions, care to elaborate?" he grinned at her again.
