Sandy tried to make less stressful small talk as he nibbled on the meal his brother had brought him. Shadow responded with a few words as possible to most of his statements, but keep her eyes fully locked on squirrel still seating in front of her. Shadow's focus on the doctor was not long risk assessment, and hadn't been since she first entered the vault. Now she found herself actually curious about him as he seemed to be extremely different that anyone, she'd run across in her life… then again, he had been born and raised in a vault and never had to endure the true world. The more they talked the more she found herself feeling sorry for him, as he came off as to gentle of a man to make it long in the outside world.

"Sorry ta bore ya." Sandy looked away and laughed nervously.

Shadow almost swore she saw a blush cover his face before he turned his attention away from her. She inhaled deep as she realized he was really as dumb as she feared he was, once he had awkwardly stubbled into her holding cell. He wasn't the first man to take an interest in her for sexual reasons, but he definitely was the most clueless, and likely the weakest. "You don't bore my, Doctor Sandy. In fact, it's quite the opposite."

Sandy now looked at her with his face coved in worry, but somewhat hopeful. He really was pathetic. She was glad she was the first wasteland woman to come in contact with him, or else he'd likely already be dead by now. Doctors where hard to come by, but most would place their lives far above anyone else's, despite how highly skilled they were.

"It's not very often I've come across a person with medical talents." She gave him a small smile obviously drawing him in, as she could see him starting to breath faster and lean in just slightly closer to her. At this moment she could easily strike and pull him down into bed and secure her freedom, which would be beneficial to her, and also to the vault… even if they didn't realize it. She had to act.

"Glad ta know I'll be of use once we gotta leave here." Sandy smiled at her bigger. He face dropped to shock as she leaned over and grabbed his hands.

"You could be of use to me right now." She whispered right before she pressed her lips to his, grabbed the back of his head with one hand. Shadow pulled him closer to her as she started inserting her tongue his mouth, and then sucking up his spit. This continued for a few seconds until the small male doctor completely caught her off guard.

"No!" He managed to shout once pushing her away from him. The squirrel then wiped off his mouth looking at her with disappointment. "I know ya want out of here, but I ain't gonna fall fer that, and I don't want that…. Like that." He stood up and took a few steps back before turning and heading to the door. She was completely dumbfounded with how depressed he seems. She'd never encountered this before.

Right before he hit on his walkie to call the guards she jumped up and yelled to him. "Wait!"

Sandy looked at Shadow. He continued to hold his sad look. "I think we both understand each other good enough now." Sandy sighed as he went to push the call button on his device. Before he had a change to do so Shadow was by his side gripping his arm and looking at him in an attempt to beg him to give her another chance. She was more than aware by his shocked face that he had no idea how she moved so fast, and was able to be physical confronting him in under a second.

"I could have killed you at any point, but I didn't want to. I could have killed many, if not all in the vault, but I chose not to. I'm sorry I tried to manipulate you, and yes I'm looking out for my wellbeing, but I'm also considering all of yours."

Sandy looked at the female prisoner confused, but seemingly satisfied with her words of seeming honestly. "Why?"

"I've lived through hell, and I've made too many others endure the same. I'd hate to be the one to cause you weak vault dwellers to come to an end. I already know I'm going to hell, but I'd like too not be in the ninth circle."

"Dante's Inferno." Sandy almost laughed as he was impressed the wasteland woman had read the classical work.

"Look…" Shadow started getting Sandy to return his attention to their important conversation. "I have a week before my associate that programmed the beacon for me comes looking to collect his cut. He isn't so worried about me, as I'm just a solo scavenger and not one of his men, but he'll come to take his share regardless of who is holding it. If you let me out, I might be able to throw a few things together to keep him happy. Mei isn't one to forgive a debit… even if I have done work for him for years. Besides… if I don't show up he'll figure I was robbed and be out to take everything."

Sandy looked at her overwhelmed and then took a seat at the table they had just shared moments ago. "Why tell me this now, and not at the beginning?"

Shadow took a seat across from him and head a serous face. "It seemed like it would be easier to seduce you. I don't need anyone to know I'm helping them; besides I know I won't last here more than a few days before your white fox has me executed. I figured the easiest escape was the best way to go. No offense."

Sandy stood up again and looked at Shadow still disappointed. "I just can't trust ya now. I'll talk ta The Overseer, by myself." Sandy turned about and walked to the door leaving Shadow still seated. "Ya shouldn't use yer body ta get yer way. Yer better than that."

"Forgive me for being so blunt, Doctor, but you have no right to tell me how I should conduct myself to stay alive considering we live in two very different worlds." Shadow now glared at Sandy finding herself becoming overly upset about being told, yet again, by a powerful man how she should live her life.

"Open up." Sandy kept his eyes on Shadow, sharing her anger, as the door opened up and he finally turned away to walk out.
