Sharon poured herself a glass of wine, turned on some light music, lit a few candles, and ran herself a bath. She poured her favorite bubble bath in while the hot water ran, then stripped out of her clothes.

Sharon put her hair in a clip and climbed into the water. The hot water helped her relax. She drank a few drinks of her wine then closed her eyes.

Sharon thought about the situation she was in. Was it something she could just give up if Provenza pushed for it? Could Andy just walk away and never look back?

Sharon opened her eyes when she heard someone open her front door. She cursed herself for not locking it.

Sharon's nerves eased when Andy walked into her bathroom.

Just the sight of him told her her answer to her question. She wasn't ready to give up on what ever was brewing between them.

"Ever heard of knocking?" She asked before taking another sip of her wine.

"Ever heard of locking the door?" He scolded her. "Anyone could just walk in here."

"I can see that." She smiled. "How was the ride back to your place?"

"Brutal." He set on the side of the tub. "But he's not going to say anything."

"Good." Sharon nodded taking his hand into hers.

"I'm sorry about today." He moved his thumb across her knuckles. "We should to talk."

"It's ok." Sharon pulled his hand bringing him closer to her. "But you did promise to make it up to me."

She leaned up and caught his lips. She moved his hand into the water. She placed it on her breast. Andy began teasing her nipple.

"Join me?" Sharon moaned against his lips.

"We need to talk." He shook his head.

"We can talk later." She pulled him back to her. "Join me."

Andy pulled way and quickly stripped down. He placed her wine glass in the bathroom sink. Sharon scooted up so he could set behind her, then she moved to lay her back against his chest.

Sharon tilted her head so she could catch his lips. He let one hand moved down her stomach and between her legs. The other played whit one of her nipples. She felt him hardening against her ass.

Sharon turned around and straddled his lap. She took his member in her hand. After stroking it a few times, she sank down on him with a moan. Her arms wrapped around his neck once she was fully seated. She started to move slow.

Andy's mouth caught hers again in a searing kiss. His hands went back to her breast. His thumbs caressed her nipples while he gave her breast a gentle squeeze.

Sharon increased her movements as the pleasure built. Andy broke the kiss. He moved his hands down to her hips. He gripped them and met her thrust for thrust.

Sharon buried her face against his neck and came whispering his named. He thrusted a few more times before he too fell over the edges. His arms coming around her and holding her tight against him.

"I need a shower." Sharon pulled back to look at him after a minute or so. "Baths are nice but they're not very sanitary."

"No they're not." Andy smiled.

"Thank you for coming here." Sharon gave him a quick kiss.

"Sharon," Andy got a serious look on his face. "We need to talk."

"Okay, okay." Sharon nodded. "Let's take a shower and get dressed. We can talk over dinner."

Andy nodded. The look on his face gave Sharon a ping of fear. He was so insistent that they talk. This can't be good.

They showered and dressed. Sharon had a knot in her stomach the whole time. Then she noticed Andy put on the same clothes he'd came here in meaning he didn't plan on staying.

"You're ending this, aren't you?" Sharon asked after she'd pulled on a pair of yoga pants and a tee shirt.

"What?" Andy asked walking out of the bathroom. He'd been cleaning up the water they'd splashed out of the tub.

"You didn't bring an overnight bag." She turned to face him. "You're not staying and you keep saying we need to talk. You're ending this?"

"You were right." He sighed. "From the beginning. We can't do this. Today made me realize I can't risk you losing your job for me. All it would take is Provenza running his mouth and then there would be an inquiry."

"And when were you going to tell me?" She felt her anger rising her voice filled with it. "After dinner? After we had sex again?"

"I was going to tell you when I got here." He tried to touch her, but Sharon shook her head. His voice grew angry. "You're the one who insisted I join you in the bath."

"So it's my fault?" She rolled her eyes walking out of her bedroom. "You're unbelievable."

"Sharon," He followed her. "I'm sorry."

"You're sorry?" She half laughed. "Really, because you didn't seem like you wanted to end this when I was riding you in the bath tub."

"I didn't ask for you to do that." His voice grew louder and angrier. "You pulled my hand down to your breast, you asked me to join you, and you're the one who initiated the sex."

"So I forced you." She raised an eye brow. "Do you need to file an official complaint with Chief Pope about how I forced you to have sex with me?"

"No," Andy shook his head. "That's not what I meant. I'm just saying . . ."

"I think I heard loud and clear what you were saying, Lieutenant."Sharon picked up his shoes on the way to the door and opened it. She tossed them into the hall. "Get out."

"Sharon . . ." He reached for her again.

"Don't." She shook her head fighting back the tears with all her might. Her voice came out cold and stern. "I said get out."

Andy dropped his head and walked out. Sharon slammed the door shut behind him and sank down to the floor. She pulled her knees to her chin and wrapped her arms around them. She sobbed into her arms until there were no more tears to cry.

Andy set in his car in the parking garage of her building. He screamed and beat the steering wheel until his hands ached. Tears streamed down his face.

Andy picked up his phone from the cup holder in his car. He dialed the number to his sponsor.

"Hey, Gary," Andy sighed. "I need a drink. I haven't needed a drink this bad in a while."

"Where are you, Andy?" Gary asked. "Are you at a bar?"

"No." Andy shook his head and gave him his location.

"Okay." Gary's voice was relieved. "I'll get a cab and be there in two minutes to drive you somewhere we can talk."

"Okay." Andy hung up tossing his phone in the seat beside him. His hands gripped the steering wheel.

As promised, Gary was there in two minutes flat. Andy got out and got into the passenger seat.

"Do you want to talk here?" Gary asked looking around seeing they were pretty much by themselves.

"Sure." Andy nodded. He doubted Sharon would be leaving to go anywhere this time of night unless of course she caught a case.

Andy shrugged and told him every thing about his and Sharon's relationship. He told him about Jack as well and how Provenza pointed out their similarities.

"I know she's the one for me," Andy sighed. "But I'm not the one for her."

"Maybe not right now." Gary suggested. "Andy being an alcoholic is always work. You'll always be a work in progress."

"I'm trying." He shrugged.

"I know." Gary patted his shoulder. "You're one of my best success stories. When we met you were rock bottom."

"I'm afraid I'm headed back down that path." Andy admitted. "I'm so in love with her it hurts."

"It sounds like you've developed feelings for this woman quickly," Gary sighed. "But I've never seen you light up when you talk about a woman even though you just broke up ten minutes ago. So maybe there is hope."

"I'm no good for her." Andy shook his head.

"How about this. You pointed out how you and her ex husband are so similar. How are you two different?" Gary asked.

"I can keep a job for one." Andy said after thinking for a minute. "I've never cheated even though I've been accused of it. I really want to get back into my kids lives."

"Okay, so start there." Gary suggested. "Work towards being more involve in your children's lives, but do this for yourself and them. Not to impress a woman."

"How does that help me now?" Andy asked not getting the point.

"By working hard to get back into your children's lives," Gary explained. "You'll have less time to think about her. The pieces will fall into place."

"I work with her." He forgot to mention.

"Oh lord Andy." Gary shook his head and covered his face. "Well that's gonna make it hard to keep her off your mind."

"I get what you are saying though." Andy nodded. "I can do this."
