"Ugh! Mom! Worst. Song. Ever. Do I have to have one of those written about me?" Star asks as she and Alexis are talking with Moon over the mirror as a puppet show about Moon's song is performed.
"Yes Star. It's a tradition as old as the kingdom itself. And it's your official introduction as future queen to the people of Mewni. You and Alexis both will have one but not on the same day of course though it will be soon after your own Star." Moon says.
"That song didn't say anything about the real you. You could plug any name into that song and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. How about... Buttercup! Sparkle! Snowflake! They all happen to love puppies and smell like lavender? Wow." Star says sarcastically as Alexis laughs slightly.
"I don't have time for this Star. Preparations for your Song Day celebration are already underway and the new official songstrel of Mewni is heading to Earth to write your song as we speak." Moon says in annoyance.
"Fine." Star says in annoyance while groaning.
"And remember Star the people of Mewni like their Princess Songs light and fluffy. Can you handle that?" Moon asks.
"Yes Mom. Oh I can handle it. By avoiding this problem until it goes away." Star says as she ends the call.
"You know mom isn't gonna be happy about that." Alexis says as she looks at Star.
"Yeah well it's not happening if I got anything to say about it." Star says as Alexis shakes her head.

Later as Alexis hears the doorbell ring she and Star then answer the door to see a boy with a musical instrument.
"Ha-ha. The songstrel." Star says nervously.
"Greetings Princess Star and Princess Alexis! I am Ruberiot." The boy says as he begins singing.
"Please stop. We get it. Come in." Alexis says as the song writer stops and comes inside.
"So this shouldn't take too long. I just want to get to know the real Star." Ruberiot says.
"Oh how rude of me! I didn't even offer you anything. What can I get you? Water? Juice? Tea?" Star asks.
"Ha. Well if you have mint tea that might be—" Ruberiot then gets cut off by Star.
"As a matter of fact we do! Marco is a member of the Tea of the Month Club and I think we just got some super-special mint tea. Right Marco? Don't move! Come on Alexis. You can help me." Star says as she pulls Alexis with her into the kitchen and begins making a bunch of noises.
"Should be just a minute!" Star shouts as Alexis shakes her head.
"This is going well." Alexis says.
"Cloudy! Let's get out of here. Hey Janna Banana. Want to go to the mall with me and Alexis?" Star shouts as she summons Cloudy and pulls Alexis with her as the two leave while Star calls Janna.

Later as Alexis and Star arrive back at the house they soon see Ruberiot is still there.
"Hey!" Ruberiot says.
"You're back!" Ruberiot and Marco shout in union.
"You're still here... Well goodbye. We're gone." Star says as she grabs Alexis's wrist and turns to leave.
"Hey. I still didn't agree to this. Also a simply follow me would suffice rather than arm pulling." Alexis says as she pulls her wrist away from Star.
"Please! Princess! I have a job to do and I can't leave until it's done." Ruberiot says as he kneels.
"And I won't stay until you're gone." Star says stubbornly.
"But... what about your Song Day celebration? In just a day the people of Mewni will be expecting us to perform the traditional Princess Song—" Ruberiot then gets cut off by Star.
"Ah-ah-ah-ah! I don't want to hear it songstrel. If you don't leave right now maybe I'll leave for good." Star says.
"Hey Star! Before you leave us alone again—for a very long time with no explanation—could you help me make some more popcorn in the kitchen?" Marco says as he heads into the kitchen before Alexis pushes Star into the kitchen.
"Please. Just do what he says. He's been singing at me for eight hours. Asking where you are!" Marco says in annoyance.
"Yeah Star. I mean it's clear he isn't gonna leave until he makes your song." Alexis says as she looks at Star.
"Well I'm sorry but I don't want anything to do with Ruberiot and his stupid Princess Songs. My mom's was so stupid and so fake and so old-fashioned. It's just not me." Star says stubbornly.
"It's okay Star. Everyone knows you're anything but ordinary. You and Alexis both." Marco says as Alexis blushes slightly and smiles.
"That's so sweet." Alexis says.
"Aww. Thanks, Marco. Hugs... He's uh... he's staring at us. Isn't he?" Star asks as she pulls Alexis and Marco into a hug before Alexis sees Ruberiot staring from the couch.
"Uh yep." Alexis says.
"Ugh! Fine. Ru-ber-i-ot. If that even is your real name. You. Me. My room. Talk time." Star says as she looks at Ruberiot.
*Timeskip*
"Hey everyone! Mom hi!" Star says as she, Alexis, and Marco later meet with River, Moon, and the Magical High Commission in the royal seating box.
"Hello mom, dad, everyone." Alexis says as she goes over and hugs Moon and River.
"Hey Queen." Marco says
"Oh my gosh. I had the worst wardrobe malfunction. Do you know how hard it is to find a decent shoulder tassel in an Earth mall? Oh. Hey. You got a little thingy in your hair." Star says as she and Alexis see a twig in Moon's hair.
"A what?" Moon asks.
"A little... thingy-thing." Star says before Alexis pulls the twig out of Moon's hair.
"Oh." Moon says as she sees the twig.
"How'd that get there?" Alexis asks curiously before Moon takes the twig from her.
"Thank you dear... Star I want to tell you something." Moon says as she looks at Star.
"I know it's not very princess-like to show up late but did you see traffic on the Royal Mile?" Star asks as she sits down.
"Please let me finish. I just want to say how... how proud I am of you. You and your sister." Moon says as Alexis and Star look at her.
"What?" Star asks in confusion.
"I know Princess Songs aren't exactly your cup of tea and I know I can be... hard on you sometimes. So it means a lot to me that you still went through with it." Moon says proudly.
"Thanks Mom. But uh... just so you know Ruby and me we kinda changed some stuff. I mean it's just not gonna sound exactly like your Princess Song did. So you know don't freak out or anything." Star says as Alexis nods.
"Thank you for telling me Star but I trust your judgment." Moon says.
"Oh thank you! But we really went off-script. It's all good but there might be like—" Star then gets cut off by the announcer.
"And now Mewni's newest court composer the songstrel Ruberiot... in honor of the Royal Family..." The announcer says.
"I really hope you like it. I think I know you will but I really hope you do." Star says hopefully.
"Presents Star Butterfly's Princess Song!" The announcer shouts as Ruberiot begins playing the song he and Star made much to the approval of the audience.
"Yeah! That's my girl!" Rhombulus shouts happily.
"What a delightful little ditty! Good job Star!" Moon says happily.
"That's not all of it." Alexis says before the song takes a darker turn revealing the events of the stolen magic book and Ludo.
"Star? Star." Moon says as she looks at Star who gives a nervous look.
"Mom what did you expect? I told you I couldn't do some puff piece. I had to do what felt right for me. Look it's over now. So we just gotta move on— wait what?" Star asks as Ruberiot keeps playing.
"Star I thought that was the last verse?" Alexis asks as she looks at Star.
"I thought it was." Star says as Ruberiot begins singing about Alexis talking with Star about her crush on Marco.
"Wait is that me?!" Marco asks in shock.
"Star why would you let him put that in the song?" Alexis asks in embarrassment.
"Alexis I swear I didn't know. He never told me about that. I just told him how close we are as sisters. I didn't think he would ever put something that personal into it." Star says in defense.
"Can this get any worse?" Alexis asks mortified as the song is over.
"Hey. What's wrong? You're supposed to be clapping." Ruberiot asks before the audience begins shouting angrily and throwing food at the group causing them to take cover in the throne room.
"Mom! I-I didn't realize this would happen! I thought they wanted to know the real Star Butterfly!" Star says.
"They don't Star. They just want to believe that you're a perfect little princess. You and your sister both. And sometimes the truth is dangerous." Moon says angrily.
"So basically we can never be ourselves because we're royalty?" Alexis asks as Moon looks at her.
"With all due respect Moon withholding information about Glossaryck and the spell book has put us all in danger!" Hekapoo shouts angrily as Lekmet bleats.
"Uh y-yeah! Like the goat said!" Rhombulus shouts.
"I assure you I had every intention of—!" Moon then gets cut off by the Magical High Commission as they argue with her.
"Uh..." Marco says as Alexis gives a fearful look before creating a portal and shifting to wolf form and running through it as it closes behind her.
