Here we are, another chapter. I will hopefully be starting another story soon, as I am far along with it and believe I can get it finished while I regularly update it, kinda like I've been doing with this one. Honestly, I'm not as pumped about this current story as I am with this other, but I'm trying to stay with it as I do have cute, fun, and sexy ideas for this story. Let me know how ya'll are liking it or if you have anything you'd like to see me do better. Thanks!
When Machi awoke, she was alone in bed, the other half of the bed cold, meaning Hisoka had gotten up and left at least a few minutes ago, but possibly longer. She sat up and stretched, feeling the night air hit her chest as the blankets fell. She got up and walked to the closet to grab an outfit from the floor. Machi had been letting her laundry build up over the week due to being busy with prepping for the troupe meeting and making plans regarding her baby.
When she entered her closet, there were no clothes to be found, not on the floor or on the shelves. She scowled, thinking of only one explanation for the disappearance of her things. She marched out into the living room, expecting to see a just as naked Hisoka in some grand pose meant to entice her. Instead she found Hisoka folding her clothes and setting them into neat piles on the dining area table.
"Now that's a view I could get used to." He smirked nonchalantly.
Machi rolled her eyes, "You couldn't leave one thing for me to wear?"
"You had nothing clean to wear." He shrugged, "But now you do, thanks to me."
He spoke matter-of-fact, straightening his back and rolling his shoulders back in a proud stance as he handed Machi a clean outfit. Machi eyed them carefully before accepting the clothes and beginning to get dressed. She huffed and gave him a disapproving look when she noticed the undergarments he had pick for her were comprised of a dark blue, lace thong and matching bralette.
"Really?"
"Don't like the color?" Hisoka asked innocently.
Machi actually cracked a small grin at the joke and pressed forward, knowing that it really didn't matter if Hisoka knew what she had on, she'd need to give him permission to take it off.
"So, you hungry? I was thinking we could go out since it's not too late." He offered, finishing up his folding.
"Eh, I need to do more work for the upcoming mission. You know, recon and all that. Shalnark is going to be sending me the newest info he picked up. I just got to verify and put it together with my findings." Machi shrugged, walking over to her computer in the living room.
"Well, if that's all I don't see why we can't have a night out on the town. We won't get any chances once the baby comes."
Machi sighed, "I don't like going out much anyway."
"That's a lie. You enjoyed going to the club with me." Hisoka winked as he leaned up against the wall near the couch, looking at Machi with hooded eyes.
Machi shivered, remembering that night, "I do believe that was the night you knocked me up, too. We played dice games and did twelve shots each. Clearly nothing good happens when we go there."
"Oh, a one-time experience is hardly enough to base a fact on." Hisoka scolded playfully, "Besides, you won't be drinking now that you are pregnant, so what's the risk?"
"You're the risk." She stated.
Hisoka chuckled, "True but that's what makes me so much fun."
Machi ignored his comment and continued to roam the internet looking for more info on their next target. Hisoka watched her with dissatisfaction as she worked and locked herself away from him again. He had hoped their little talk would've opened her up to him and she'd allow herself to unwind. He approached her steadily, standing in front of her, but she didn't lift her gaze from her computer. He clicked his tongue before closing the computer and snatching it away.
"Hisoka!" Machi yelled, but he silenced her with a finger to her lips.
"Hush, you'll get this back once we've discussed our date."

Hisoka had spent an hour keeping the computer away from Machi. He was significantly taller and even with her coming at him with all her force, she couldn't match his speed and skill. So eventually, it was agreed that they would go out for dinner at a nearby restaurant for an hour, then Machi would be left to work in peace for the rest of the night. She had ordered her usual ramen, while Hisoka was having a filet steak with potatoes and a soup that was served right away.
"Would you like a bite?" he offered, an easy grin on his face, "I'm sure you've worked up an appetite."
"Don't be crude." Machi reprimanded, "I have suffered through starvation, I can wait for my own meal."
Hisoka sighed, "You are so stubborn, but I can hear your stomach disagreeing with you."
Machi blushed, trying to quiet her guts by pressing into her abdomen, "It's nothing."
Hisoka chuckled a bit and held his spoon, full of cheesy broccoli soup, out towards her. Machi eyed it out of the side of her eyes, trying to seem uninterested, but her stomachs growls increased and she just wanted her body to settle down. With a sigh, she lifted her hand to grab the spoon from Hisoka and scoop the food into her mouth. It was delicious, but she refrained from taking anymore.
"Better?" he questioned knowingly.
Machi just shrugged but straightened up when she saw the waiter coming with a try of food. She was excited to see the meal placed in front of her, but her joy was short lived when she took a sniff of it and her stomach flipped. If she had more than that soup in her stomach, she would've thrown up, but thankfully she was mainly empty.
Machi picked around at her noodles, trying to will the taste of pre-vomit saliva out of her mouth. This was her favorite meal and it disgusted her to the point she couldn't bear to look at it. She secretly glanced at Hisoka, who had cut into his meat and was leaving his sides for later. The smell of the juicy steak and buttery potatoes made her mouth water but she would have to push through her choice of meal.
"What's wrong?" Hisoka grumbled, swallowing his food, "Why aren't you eating?"
Machi looked back up at him, a little scared and confused by her situation. She wasn't sure herself why she was feeling so nauseous all of a sudden because she was very hungry.
"You look pale. Are you alright?" he pressed further.
"Yeah, just not very into my dinner all of a sudden."
Hisoka frowned before a small smile appeared, "Must be the pregnancy. Do you want my food?"
Machi shook her head, "No, I'm fine, I'll eat this."
As Machi went to dip her chop sticks into her ramen, the bowl was pulled out away from her replaced with the partially eaten steak and potatoes Hisoka had ordered. She looked up at him in shock and watched for a minute as he started eating her ramen as though nothing happened. Machi glanced down at her new meal, smiling ever so slightly before picking up and knife and fork. As she ate vigorously, Hisoka had nonchalantly scooted the bowl of broccoli soup over to her, a clear hint for her to finish that as well. She'd usually push it back at him, not wanting his charity, but she was still so hungry and craving the creaminess.
Hisoka had finished his food quite a bit before her but waited patiently, studying her like she was a fine specimen. Machi was not a fan of the way his gaze lingered, but she was used to it. He had always watched her, seeming both bored and fascinated with her. They didn't speak much the rest of the dinner, except to argue a bit about who was paying and then confirming they were ready to go.
Hisoka didn't try to stay that night. He had withdrawn a bit from her and quickly bid her a good night once she was at the apartment. Machi laid in bed thinking about his sudden change in behavior and the sudden changes in her. She ran a hand over her stomach, thinking to herself about what the future could hold. All the good, bad, and dirty moments they would have.
