Chapter Sixth
Captain Chip Morton asked his steward inside the officer's mess hall with Crane sitting down opposite of him. His steward waited for Morton to talk to him with his order.
"I will have a black coffee and a Turkey club sandwich with plenty of Mayo and chips with it James," he said.
"And Commander Crane what would you like as well?" he needed to ask with writing it down with a stylish pen.
"Coffee scrambled eggs with toast and potatoes. Since I didn't have much of breakfast earlier," he commented with a slight smile.
"Sure enough gentlemen. I will work on both of your orders right away.
"So Lee are you getting used to being back on the Seaview?" Chip said with some slight sarcasm with his demeanor.
"Yeah, but I never expected to have all this drama with a submarine attacking us along with someone on board this submarine sending and receiving coded messages?" he said with a slight smirk on his face like always.
"True. But We will find out soon hopefully who is behind it, Lee. Do you happen to have a possible suspect?" he said with the steward coming over with the drinks.
"Here you go with the drinks. Your food will be ready in a few moments Captain," he said with walking away to head on over to other officers on board the Seaview.
"Actually Captain I do have a possible suspect. But I need to be doing more observing before I decide to have the man arrested and cause more harm to the Seaview and this rescue mission."
"I will need to be told as soon as possible this man will be causing harm to the safety of this vessel Lee. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"
"I do Chip. Now let's eat when it arrives."
It was at this time that Colonel Robert Baskins came in looking to have something to eat after exercising with his team in the missile room.
He came over to say hello to both men before heading for an empty table with the steward asking whether he was ready to order.
"He's not said much since coming abroad the Seaview?" Chip said to his long-time friend.
"I spoke with him earlier in the missile with his marines exercising with staying in shape during this trip," Crane said with turning his head to look at the lanky tall Colonel.
"Are you too still on bad terms ever since the divorce?" Morton said softly with his tone of voice.
"We're civil if that is what you mean Chip?" Lee sipped his black coffee while seeing the steward bringing over their food finally.
"I am sorry it's late sir," he said with placing the plates onto the table in front of them.

Nelson Institute
Commander Rose Marie Baskins was in the lab for where the crystalline was residing for now and began to communicate with the human. As she had turned on the Universal Translator.
"Can you hear me I am Commander Baskins a designer for the Nelson Institute? I would like to help?" she said to the creature inside the tube.
"I don't know if you can help us since our species are dying," it said to her with sadness with her expression on her face.
"Listen Admiral Harriman Nelson is a friend and scientist. Maybe he and others might be able to help your race out?"
"I am not the only one. They are inside the deep ice basin for where your Seaview is heading to save your own scientists. This crystalline had Rose Marie surprised since it was reading her mind.
"How in the hell do you know that?" she asked with anger with her demeanor. "I need to call Admiral Nelson to have you explain to him what is needed? Understand?" she waited for a response.
"Understood."
She had gotten on the intercom connecting to his own office. He picked up right away.
"What's wrong Commander?" Nelson said with concern with his voice.
"Sir you need to come to the lab. The crystalline has something to say to you fully awake and alert?" she commented with watching the glow of the container with the creature inside.
"I will be right there!" he said over the intercom.
And in the meantime, he had received a priority one message from the Seaview that wasn't making him too happy at the moment. One with the Seaview was attacked by an unknown country, along with unauthorized coded messages with someone on board the submarine.
Walking down the long corridor of the labs in building two. Admiral Nelson has three different offices in regard to all of his science projects with the different cruises and three of his own submarines. While Commander Lee Crane in charge of the entire Institute has offices in the main building and labs.
He walked into the lab with Rose Marie dressed in her suit to protect her from any type of unknown viruses that might be able to break out into the air and affect the population.
"What is it Commander?" he said in a serious demeanor.
"Harriman the crystalline and his race need help. THEY ARE DYING!" she cried out as the alien with the use of the universal translator will tell Admiral Nelson that the main survivors or at the ice basin the same area your friends are caught inside with them no doubt."
"If I help you. Will you be able to tell your people to help save our friends caught inside the ice basin? We do know that no doubt the oxygen levels will be gone and they won't be able to breathe and die for sure." He cried out by giving Rose Marie the top priority message from Seaview.
"I will be able to help using mental electrical images to my people in that basin and let them know about the humans needing saving." the creature had to say. But then again he said that he will have to regenerate for another 8 hours before trying with sending the electrical images to the leader."
