Tillys pov:
Two weeks have passed of Trying to make this damn perfume many would think it would be easy just dilute the love potion and spray it,if you think that your as smart as the twins.George was kissing the Quibblers front page for good five minutes before Fred and I could get Him to take the antidote.We decided to use the Quibbler as the safe test subject instead of one of us for the obvious three reasons
one) I'm not going near the stuff.
Two) the other option is one of the twins and that's a line none of us want to cross.
Three) we don't know how the twins will react to the potion towards me and that would be awkward .
So now we're actually trying to figure out how to do this and Merlin, It should be easy considering that when you have love potion boiling in the caldron you can smell who you love so this should be the same principle.But we were proved wrong and have been burning so many screw ups.Walking through the halls lit by the morning sun to the secret room Girls spoke about what dress they were wearing and who they were going with and how excited they were for the Yule ball.My Friends and I were originally going to go together as friends but then they all got asked by boys and now I'm third wheeling there dates.I'm still laughing at Fred's face when he asked Angelina he looked so scared.
"Bloody hell that was rubbish,throw it in the fire." Fred Huffed looking at George who looked like he had just woken up holding his head and taking the water Tilly offered him as she threw the failed perfume in the flames casting a barrier around it watching it turning pink and white in flashes before going orange again "at this rate we're going to have to made more antidote then Love potion." George groaned getting off the ground "at this rate we're going to be six weeks behind our schedule." Fred huffed looking over the ingredients used for the failed batch before adding it to the pile of others "when's that again?' George asked, setting the empty glass on the table "three weeks after the Yule ball." I said flipping through my notes of potion ingredients and how they were used. "Is it now,Tilly have you gotten yourself a date?" I laughed at George's question before looking up at him and his brother to see they were looking at me oddly "wait you're serious?oh no,I was originally going with my friends but they all got asked out so now I'm third wheeling them,how about you two?" I smiled at them slightly embarrassed.
"I haven't asked anyone." They both responded in unison shrugging their shoulders "Really no one?" I was surprised to say the least, it's already been a week since the dance announcement and the Twins were very popular especially with the girls. "Well I was thinking of asking Alicia Spinnet from Quidditch ." George said rubbing his neck looking to the side "you haven't asked her yet? George you need to ask her before someone else does your dont want to be like Ron and Harry." I giggled covering my mouth as the twins snickered as well. I couldn't help but tell them about how dramatic their younger brother was at Tutoring yesterday after not finding a date yet."I'm gonna at study hall,I haven't seen her all day." George replied sitting at the table resting his head in his hands "and what about you Fred?" I asked, looking at him he looked embarrassed, his cheeks were red as he was taking a drink. "Well I don't know if she'll say yes,so I've been waiting for the right moment to ask her." Fred coughed into his drink while George smacked his shoulder giving him a look.
"Of Course she'll say yes fred you're not an eyesore and you actually have a personality unlike most guys at this school,do I know her?" I asked ,I could help him out if I did or ask Ollie if she knew the girl and give the information to fred."you do." he stuttered out he must of really liked this girl if she got him this tongue tied "hmm,is she in one of our classes?" "yes." "do you talk to her in class?" "yes." "Is she pretty?" "Beautiful." I smiled thinking about all the girls in class,it's a Gryffindor girl because I'm the only hufflepuff they talk to in Potions or divination.It's probably Divination because no one talks in potions class,He seemed very close to that girl Ambrosias friends with it probably her she very beautiful like Lilly i don't thinkI've ever seen her have a bad day"I know who it is!" I said looking up at fred who looked excited at me "you do!" He exclaimed smiling,I walked up to him smiling " Yep, its Angelina from Divination."I exclaimed excitedly at the wide expression on Fred's face I knew I got it right because George started laughing ,I started jumping around the room you can't hide anything from me.
"haha yep you got me,Tilly,Its Angelina." Fred said looking at me slightly disappointed probably because I figured him out so easily "you guys are so lucky these girls from at least what my vibe meter told me are chill so big gestures aren't needed, probably just a simple question and they'll say yes!" I replied picking up a potion book "Vibe meter?" George asked, giving me an odd look "oh it's just what energy I get from them." I shrugged at him looking at my watch. "This is perfect ,Study Hall is in ten minutes,lets go so you can ask them!" I started packing up my bag carefully placing the bottle of love potion in before turning to see the Twins waiting for me by the door talking about something that had Fred looking nervous "oh don't worry Fred Angelina would be crazy to say no!" I said pulling him by the elbow out of the room down to study Hall doors. George quickly walked in while Fred hesitated "Fred you're a handsome young Gryffindor that hits flying balls that try to knock you off your broom,This is nothing you've got this!" I smiled up at him giving him a slight push into the hall "Tilly!"
I ran off to the Hufflepuff table to where I could see George and Fred sitting.It was a sign that both girls decided to sit next to each other across from them but the twins seemed to be talking to Ron "No you're wasting your Time asked them you fools!" I thought as I was pretending to write in my notebook briefly looking up I saw George whisper something to Alicia and she nodded her head in response. He looked at me raising his eyebrows up and down "yes she said yes! What are you doing?" Fred was writing something to Ron before we made eye contact. I quickly gave him a thumbs up mouthing "this is it ASK HER!" Pointing to Angelina.He wrote something on paper looked at snape walked away and threw a wadded up piece of paper at her "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" He did a little dance, mouthing something to her and she nodded her head. He looked back at me and gave me a wink"yes he did it,they're going to have so much fun !" I smiled back at him before actually starting my studying.
I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do at the ball maybe get some food listen to the band thats coming and then go to bed early probably,it will be entertaining to say the least.I haven't even gotten a dress yet I just told my mom and she said that she had it covered and as long as it doesn't have a vinyl or leather corset i'll be happy with whatever.I walked through a set of doors to see an empty room with Nevill in the center arms in the air and looking very embarrassed. "Nevill, what are you doing?" I asked him looking around the room to see if it was in fact just me and him. There weren't even desks or papers"Uhhh Nothing!"Nevill squeaked his face red ,hands going behind his back.
Nevill still hasn't changed from the moment I met him on the train in my second year when he lost his frog,still the quiet, nervous ,sweet boy that reminds me of the kids back home.I walked over to him looking at the floor covered in scuff marks in the shape of a square"Nevill have you been practicing ballroom dancing?" I look up at him smiling amazed that he would even be practicing. Most of the guys in Hufflepuff weren't even paying attention. "Yes,I don't want to step on her dress." Nevill mumbled before slapping his hand over his mouth, his eyes wide as saucers"Who did you ask,Nevill !" I said I'm so happy for him finally stepping out of his shell and asking a girl to the dance "I'm not supposed to say." "Come one Nevill you know I can keep a secret." I held my hands in a begging fashion having a staring match with him until he broke "Fine but don't tell her that I told you she'll be cross at me." "Ok tell me!" I was so excited to know who he was talking to, maybe it was Luna. She's a sweet girl "Ginny Weasly." Nevill whispered her name as a blush formed across his face as I squealed, hugging the boy"Oh Ginny's is so cool,Nevill you picked a diamond!" He laughed at me smiling.
Letting him go I stepped back "let me see you dance." I asked Nevill to start fighting with the hem of his tie. " I'm not that good,I trip every time." He mumbled going back into his shell "please Nevill you've been practicing let me see come on!" I begged him "fine." He huffed walking back into the center of the room while I took a seat on the floor watching him put his arms up around an imaginary person.He started very strong and I could hear him mumbling the counts until he stepped on his own shoe and stumbled back "I always do that there!" He yelped, laying flat on the ground looking annoyed and defeated. "come on you, let's try that again." I got up off the ground holding my hand out to him"what?" He picked his head up looking at my hand "I'll be your dummy partner,if you keep on practicing with air you'll be useless with Ginny." I explained watching him slowly take my hand getting up from the floor standing in front of me "since this is a school dance I have no idea if it'll be formal,then again this is a historical dance." I thought aloud Nevil just looked dumbfounded at me "well anyway this will get you brownie points,You bow to me," Nevill looked at me blankly before a cleared my throat and he did a quick bow at me "ok that was a lot of spice and now I curtsy to you," I gave him a curry staying low looking up at him "this is where you hold you hand out to me,honey." I whispered taking his hand that he quickly stuck out to me with a quick sorry.
"ok this is a simple dance,what are you doing?" I ask looking down at Nevills hands that were in between him and I "I'm holding out my hands so you can take them."Nevill said looking at me nervously "no honey ,your hands don't go there this isn't a hoedown it's a waltz,you hands go here and I'll take that one right here." I took his left hand and placed it high on my shoulder blade and took his right hand in my own hand, holding it out"your hands stay on her shoulder blade or high on a lady's waist if you are just friends unless you want a smack."I jokingly threatened him placing my hand on his shoulder while he nodded his hands smiling at me we were about the same height he was only and inch or so taller.
"Ok now you're the lead in this dance so you need to step your foot out there." Nevill stepped out and we started to do a very mechanical box step in the center of the room,Nevill mumbling the numbers over and over again the whole time looking at our feet trying not to mess up "my eyes are up here Nevill." "I wasn't looking there !" Nevill exclaimed stopping the dance holding his hands out in a panic making me laugh poor boy.
"Nevill when your dancing with a partner there needs to be conversation and eye contact,let's try again you were doing so good."Nevill nodded his head and put his hand back to where I had put them last time and we started to dance with him making eye contact "how did you ask Ginny?" I asked him, seeing how he looked stressed "well actually she asked me." Nevill when on telling me about how him and Ginny were going as friends and didn't want her brothers knowing because they would freak out.By the end of their conversation and dance Nevill was still mechanical but far better then when he had started my feet for sure would know. "You're doing great, if you keep on practicing I know you'll be perfect by the dance!" I was picking up my bag and walking to the door "Thank you again Tilly!" Nevill exclaimed, waving goodbye.

The door to the secret room opened making the twins look up from what they were doing to see Tilly coming in, shoving a bottle into her bag looking surprised at them"Finally you're here!" George exclaimed leaning against the book and paper stacked table,Fred was resting his feet on the table eating a bag of crisps "want one,barbecue ?" Fred asked Tilly who set her bag by him taking a crisp."Found this in the library last night might have something useful in it." George held out a thick dusty book to Tilly that read the title in curvy cursive Romance with a bottle."here take my seat so you can read what we bookmarked," Fred jumped out of his seat letting Tilly sit in it as he pushed it in"keep the crisps,dear." Fred said walking over to George to set up more perfume bottles "Fred I'm not taking these there yours!" "I don't like barbecue." He replied smiling smartly over his shoulder.
Tilly shook her head opening the book reading the pages bookmarked eating a random crisp here and there while taking notes.Fred smiled looking at her,watching her full rounded lips mouthing the words she was a reading sometimes a look of surprise would cross her face and she would jot something down in her notes "you should of asked her." George whispered looking at Fred sadly."I know but she looked so excited when she thought it was Angelina." "She would be even more excited if you asked her." George replied in a singsong voice moving a box of spray bottles "no she wouldn't,she thinks of me as her friend and I don't want to ruin this." "This,Fred I don't know why this is the thing you're hesitating on but you need to do something before someone else does." George looked over at Fred still looking at Tilly smiling "I know,I will."
The three left the secret room heading over to Divinations class a bit more early Tilly shoving the empty bag of chips in her bag "This is so annoying,this should be easy!" She huffed looking at the twins walking in a smooth calm state "Let's take a deep breath,yeah,we're figuring it out and keep getting closer with every failure." Fred said smiling at Tilly taking a deep breath with her.
"Why is this such a big deal? There is no rush and we are not dying soon." George continued stretching his arms out.Tilly blushed, folding her arms in a huff mumbling "it feels like it's mocking me." The twins started laughing making Tilly hold her fists at her sides pouting at the boys "It's not funny you two!" "You're right, it's hilarious." "Don't let the potion hear you Tilly it's in your bag remember!" Their laughs echoed in the halls that led to the tower. Tilly trying to not let the boys see her smile tossed her hair to the side"If it's going to be like that then I'll bid you gentleman a good day." Tilly says in a posh tone walking ahead of them to the hatch to class above her.She hops in the air missing the handle by an inch and hops again missing again the Twins laughter getting louder"Here let me help you." Fred said coming up from behind her, setting a hand on her shoulder and grabbing the handle easily "No! I don't need your help!" Tilly exclaimed smacking Fred's hand away the fires of determination fueling her"of course your majesty."Fred bow giving a flourish backing away from the door.
Tilly took anew steps back before running full speed at the wall jumping off of it grabbing the hatches handle down the ladder sliding out ,with a triumph smile kicking her feet in the air laughing "I AM THE QUEEN!" Tilly yells dropping to the ground the boys smiling at her letting her go up the stairs"I Sense your aura Miss Guhubble!" .

Kids were jumping out of class chatting and laughing especially two red heads "She's always like this,we weren't even reading tea leaves and she's telling me I'm going to have a dark future !" Tilly exclaimed rolling her eyes "but don't forget dear she also said your aura is very orange!" Fred said putting an arm around her shoulders with a cheesy smile moving his eyebrows up and down until Tilly looked away laughing "don't forget Fred she said your aura is changing between red and yellow at least I have the decency to just have one." Tilly laughed giving a playful shove "Yeah Freddy just picked one already!" George agreed slapping his brother on the shoulder "don't blame me for my colorful personality!" Fred replied false snootiness in his voice making Tilly once again roll her eyes at the boy "ok rainbow fish ill see ya later." Tilly said sarcastically turning down the left hall leaving a confused Fred and George behind.
Tilly made her way down the halls heading to her defense of the dark arts class but someone from behind grabbed a handful of her hair pulling her back into a dark alcove shoving her to the ground."who the hell!" Tilly exclaimes grabbing her wand and pointing it at the person above her"no who the hell do you think you are flirting with Fred,you whore!" Ambrosia slides pointing her wand at Tilly.Tilly puts her wand away standing up her eyebrows together in confusion rubbing her head "what the hell are you talking about?" Tilly asked,Ambrosia scoffs looking at her like she was garbage "I know poor mud bloods like you sleep around but keep your filthy hands out of Angelina's date or I'll do what I should of done in fourth year." Ambrosia sticks her wand into Tillys throat getting in her face"I will not let you steal another man from an innocent girl you skank,stay away from Fred weasley!" Tilly looked Ambrosia dead in the eye and blankly said "you have spinach in your crooked teeth." Ambrosia back hands Tilly across the face its echo filling the hall,shoving Tilly to the ground pointing her wand at her once more "stay away Mudblood or else!" Ambrosia finished walking away leaving Tilly holding her red cheek on the ground glaring at her back.
