Everyone was working extremely hard and without rest, you could tell everyone was tired. Everyone was working on this case, it was not a simple case, the case was about a murder that is probably connected to a terrorist group. Everyone had to stay focused and do their best to find out everything.
"Hey, it's late, go to rest and tomorrow we will continue looking for clues and wait for the help of the feds." - Voight said, as he left his office to wait for everyone to go to rest.
But not everyone went to rest, J.R. It kept ringing in Jay's head, he knew something, the whole day has been weird. He decided to stay to continue investigating the case. All of this was bringing back memories for Jay. His time in the army was something he didn't like to talk about, the only one who understood that was Mouse. But when Mouse left, Jay lost the only person that he knows he understood what he was feeling. He always tried to open up to Erin, but he never succeeded, and when he was willing to do so, Abby came, and with her brought all the unpleasant memories of Jay.
Jay worked so hard that inadvertently the hours passed until the exhaustion and everything he was feeling at the time was too much, so he decided to take a nap on the couch. The next day Hailey was the first to arrive, and she could see her partner asleep on the couch. When she approached to see him, she saw how Jay was going through a nightmare, he was moving and complaining. When Hailey tried to wake him up, Jay got up quickly and into an attacking position.
"Jay?" Hailey whispered to wake him up.
"Hey! It's me, Jay calm down, everything is fine." - Hailey said scared.
"Ah ... sorry, it was just a bad dream, sorry." - Jay said to Hailey while he was lamenting.
"What are you doing here? It's 7:00 AM. Did you spend the night here? " Hailey asked as she poured herself coffee.
"Uh ... I stayed to review the case and hope to find something that would give us a clue as to where Hasan is." - Jay told him as he got up from the couch.
"Jay, you know you can talk to me about anything, right? You've been different since the case started. " - Hailey told her as she stood in front of him.
"I'm fine, it's nothing ..." - Jay replied quickly.
"Please don't lie to me. I know you have something. Tell me so I can help you. " - Hailey interrupted him waiting for her partner to talk to her.
"They are just bad memories, nothing more. I don't want to talk about it, please. " - Jay answered him in a low voice as he walked to his desk.
Hailey knew something was wrong. But she decided not to talk about it anymore and see how Jay behaved. She knew her partner, she knew that at some point he was going to open up and tell her what was happening with him.
Minutes later everyone arrived at the district and began to work. All the clues they had led to dead ends. There was no information about Hasan. Hours later they heard a person coming up the stairs. Heels sounded, and seeing who she was, Jay saw a familiar face.
What do you think guys? Are you liking the story?
