Authors Note: I've been waiting this whole time to make an awesome Fitzphie break-up!

WARNING: This first section contains epic Fitzphie fighting. What's more fun than that?

I'm going to keep this as Sophie's POV for now until I can come up with an epic Keefe idea!

Remember, don't hesitate to give any suggestions/ideas for future chapters!

Enjoy!

"Hey, Sophie…" Fitz began until he saw her angry, red face. "You okay?"

She dumped the broken remains of the golden moonlark necklace on his desk.

"Explain this?" She said, pointing to the listening device.

"I-I don't know. I promise," he said, looking shocked, but Sophie was not convinced.

"Oh please," Sophie rolled her eyes impatiently. "Don't tell me you don't know. Why did you want to spy on me?"

"Sophie…" Fitz began but said nothing.

"Stop lying to me!" She yelled, and her eyes started tearing up. "Fitz, this ends now. I don't ever want to see you again."

Before the speechless Fitz could respond, she angrily ran out of his room slamming the door behind her. He's lucky I didn't slap him. She thought to herself. If Fitz ever showed up at her door, then she would slap him. From now on, she would stay away from Everglen. She wanted to curl up under the covers of her bed and cry, but at the same time, relief flooded her senses. She felt relieved she would never have to see Fitz again.

She came back to Havenfield finding Keefe waiting there for her. Sandor knew there would be some kind of dramatic conversation, so he walked away scanning the perimeter. She had been through too much today. What was next? She wanted to feel annoyed with Keefe and tell him to go away. She'd had enough for today. But something was tugging on her to tell him what happened.

"Uh, hey Foster. You probably don't want to talk to me right now, and I understand. It's just… I could feel your emotions all the way from the Shores of Solace," He said worriedly.

"What? How?" Sophie panicked. Her emotions were getting too out of hand. Was she affecting Keefe?

"I'm not sure, so I thought I should come talk to you," He spoke. "But I have to be honest, it felt like your emotions were calling to me."

It felt embarrassing and weird, but while she had been shouting at Fitz part of her was thinking of Keefe at the same time. Maybe she sent what she was feeling to his head giving him a signal that it was her even though she had no idea it was happening.

"I don't know Keefe," she lied. "Maybe you just imagined it."

He sighed. "We both know that's not the answer. Will you at least tell me what happened?"

Part of her was screaming, NO NO NO! While the other half was screaming, YES YES YES!

She took a deep breath and said, "I broke up with Fitz."

"Oh?" Keefe raised an eyebrow.

"I broke the moonlark necklace he'd given to me on accident. Inside was a small listening device. He was trying to spy on me for no reason."

Sophie looked ready to break down crying, while Keefe's eyes darkened. She knew he was secretly plotting revenge against him, and she was not going to stop him. His eye's softened and he patted her back saying, "You're too good for him, you know that?"

"Before, I thought he was too good for me. But he's just a liar."

She looked over to see Keefe staring into her eyes. She could not help but give a little smile. Keefe always had her back, even when she never knew it. He was always trying to help her by comforting her. He grabbed her hand holding it, lacing their fingers together. For the first time with Keefe, her heart fluttered. But once he let go of her hand, it shattered and faded away. He said goodbye to her hoping she'll feel better, and light leaped away. Sophie sighed.

She should've asked him to stay a while longer. It was almost as if she could share anything with him and he would understand. Unlike Fitz, she felt comfortable around him. She could hold hands with him without feeling bothered by it. She could kis-

She blocked her thoughts from going any further. There was no way Keefe liked her. Or was she just thinking that? He really did want to keep her safe. The thought made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.

All of a sudden a question came to mind: Where did Fitz get the listening device? He couldn't have gotten it at a store, they didn't sell those. Maybe Fitz asked for Dex to make one for him but didn't tell him why? Whatever it was, she needed answers.

She was sitting under the panakes tree when she hailed Dex.

"Hey what's up, Sophie?" He asked.

"Did Fitz ever ask you to make something for him?" Sophie was ready for him to say: 'Yeah! He asked if I could make him a listening device!'

Terror ripped through her body faster than light leaping when she heard Dex say, "No, why'd you ask?"

Fitz wasn't lying when he said he had no idea that there was a device in her necklace. Not only did she ruin Fitz's and her relationship but found out someone had been listening to her. Who?

"I got to go Dex. Bye," She hung up before he could respond.

Worry flooded her brain. Now she really wished it were Fitz who was spying on her. Instead, it was someone else.

At that moment, a black hooded figure crept out from behind the panakes tree. The Neverseen. Before Sophie could scream, they grabbed her arm holding a crystal to the light, leaping away.

Okay, you probably saw that when Keefe was talking to Sophie in this chapter, he said "Shores of Solace" instead of "Waves of Wimpiness" (This is mainly for you, CatEnthusiast). It's kinda because he's being serious at that moment and saying "Waves of Wimpiness" ruins the mood a bit. I just thought I should share that. Anyways, I hope you guys like my cliffhangers! :)
