We quickly make our way back up to the main floor. It's total chaos, kids are running around in a panic. I just happen to look out the window and see a chopper land and military hummers crashing through the front gate. "Logan , get Bobby , Rogue and Kitty to round up the younger kids and take them to the underground bunker. You and Pete take out the muscle, incapacitate, do not kill.. I'll deal with the leader. " He nods his head and stalks off to find the teens. I walk out side and find the Boss of this little operation. Several men have their guns pointed at me, I roll my eyes at the absurdity of something as pathic as guns. I fold my arms and say " So who's the one giving the orders ? I look around the group of men and see fear. Some of them have no idea what their up against.. " That would be me. " says a deep voice that has plauged my nightmares for years. A man that I loathe steps out of the hummer closest to me . " Hello Azura, it's been along time. " I keep my mask in place because if I let it slip he'll know he has me. "Not long enough Essex." he chuckles. " theres that fire! it's been what? 20 years since I saw you last." I tremble at the mention of how long ago it was that I had escaped from his prison. " What are you doing here? why attack a school full of kids?" He smiles " I have been ordered by the president himself to bring back project Wildcat." dread fills my stomach at the mention of that name. " That project was disbanded years ago!" I yell. he chuckles and says " yes it was. Due to the fact that my subject disappeared before we could see if we were making any progress, I'm having to take...drastic measures." I tremble as I clench my fists. On instinct my claws pop out and his eyes immediately go to them. " Ah... I see Colonel Striker got to you before I could. No matter, it will serve its purpose in the long run. Now where is James at? I can't have just one piece of a matched set." I gritted my teeth and feel tears come to my eyes . " James was killed. I smirk and say " If you think I'm going to let you take me away , and do who knows what to me, then Mr.Sinister , I hope you brought more than thirty men with you to bring me in." The was is wiped of his face. " Oh why's that?" I smile and throw my head back and roar. I feel the local animals answer my call. Birds , cats, dogs , squirrels, then bigger animals such as bobcats and wolves come running from the woods. They flank me , each and every one at my beck and call. I touch the Alpha wolf on the top of the head and partially shift into my wolf form. " I suggest you leave before I turn my friends loose on you. " I growl at him. "NOW!" He smile is sly and devious. " Very well Azura , but know this you won't have you friends around you all the time. " " I don't need them around me all the time. I only need these." I hold up my hands. " Now get lost before I do something I won't regret in the morning." He backs away and climbs back into the hummer. I look around at the men and say " make sure ypu know who your taking your orders from gentlemen. Because I can promise you that , Nathaniel Essex is a physico scientist , trying to perfect the mutation in humanity . He doesn't care who is collateral in his quest for power. Transfer out if you still can." I watch as the thirty men slowly back away , getting back into their vehicle's and leaving. I look to the Alpha and send out "Patrol the grounds at night make sure no one gets on the property . these are the ones allowed. " I send images to him of all the staff who are here either part time or full time. " Don't harm any children. if some sneak out . just howl and I'll take it from there." I see an owl perching above me in a tree. " Wise owl , would you keep an eye out from the airIn between hunting ? " She nods her head at me . I bow my head in thanks. After I send my allies off to their respective jobs , I turn around and head back inside. the hallways are quiet. I sniff my way to the bunker and tap three times slowly then three time fast. The intercom buzzes and I Say the code Xavier gave me that only A select few know. Logan being one of them " Alpha Trion 1888." the intercom buzzes again and then the door opens." I hear several kids sniffling and crying; Logan's the first one out . I smirk at the disgruntled look on his face. " I hate being I confined spaces " I roll my eyes at him. " of course you do. " I push past him and start counting heads. 60 kids in total. I sigh in relief " OK kiddos back to bed. All of you." I feel a tug on my shirt and I look down to see little Abby . Abby bravely walks over to him and says " Mr.Wolverine, could we pleeeeeeeeeeease stay in the living room?" he straightens and says " As long as you rugrats promise to not stay up to late and clean up your mess in the morning thats fine with me squirt." cheers go up and I watch as she launches herself at his legs to hug him tightly. he pats her on the head and says " Alright everybody grab sleeping bags and pillows. Ms. Azure and I will meet you all in the living room." I laugh at the stamped up the stairs. I turn to look at him and see him watching me. "Did they get near any of the kids?" He shakes his head " Nope, Bobby , Rogue and Kitty got them all down here. Pete and I did a sweep of all the floors to make sure there wasn't anyone left behind. I sigh in relief as I rub the back of my neck " You wanna tell me about this circus that arrived here putting us all in danger?" I look up and frown at him and say " I will when Chuck gets back , not until then." he growls at me " Alright. Cat, but there's something your not telling me. " I brush past him . " theres alot of things I'm not telling you. " he doesn't comment as I make my way up stairs to the slumber party.
