Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shinobi Soulmates. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own TMNT, Nick and a few others do.
Ayden pulled his blade from his back as he turned towards the Krang. They continued to chase him but none fired, probably afraid of hitting the container that he held.
Ayden was instead met by a metal fist which sent him rolling along the ground. Ayden pushed himself to his feet as he avoided a stomp that would have crushed his skull.
Ayden stabbed his blade into one of the Kraang' s heads, shorting out the cybernetic machine. Ayden was quite curious if their metal was designed to be lithe so they were more mobile.
However? They weren't trying to shoot him. Ayden was glad for that; guns would be unfair if they used one upon him. Ayden turned and then slashed the hands off another Kraang droid before kicking it to the ground. This was tiring, he was quite exhausted at the moment.
Another Kraang droid made a grab for the vial of glowing green liquid Aayden held. He planted a foot on the chest of one of the Kraang droids and threw himself backwards. He knew for a fact that there would be a losing battle… At least there was if he tried standing his ground.
Aayden heard the droids rush at him as he landed.
"Take what was stolen from Kraang from the one who stole from Kraang!" One of the Kraang ordered as it swung at Aayden who ducked under the fist. It passed over his head once more as he blinked.
Aayden hummed and then brought his blades through the machine's legs. His blade parted the alien metal as Aayden seized the gun from the droid. Aayden placed the canister under his suit as he grabbed his sword with his now free hand.
He then turned and then started firing the weapon at the Kraang only to be pushed backwards.
'I had forgotten that recoil existed.' Aayden thought to himself as he sighed and tried to drop the gun.
"Take that which is known as…" Kraang started to say before a bolt lanced through the droid.
The head of the creature flew backwards and smashed into the ground while he hummed. Aayden turned and continued to rush down the corridor, placing his sword on his back.
"Why do the Kraang want this so badly?" Aayden questioned to himself while shaking his head and turning to look to the side.
Fuel? Was it some sort of a weapon? Something that could bring such great destruction which caused him to ponder dropping it at the moment.
Still? Whatever it was? Aayden didn't want it to be taken back from him. If the Kraang were so gung-ho on retrieving it? They could take it back from his corpse. He would not surrender; it was not part of the Foot Clan's ways.
Part of him considered interrogating the Kraang to find a way to get out this base… But part of him knew they would not give it up even if he had chosen to try it. The Kraang probably cared about the vial more then they cared about the lives of their own men.
That wasn't dedication in his mind. It was fanaticism which made him question how many soldiers the Kraang would throw away to win. He couldn't rely on fighting them when it came down to it. They would get the vial back even if they had to drown him in soldiers he thought.
But that didn't mean he was beaten, not yet… This fight wasn't over until they either killed him, or he escaped.
"There has to be a way out of here." Aayden muttered to himself as he looked over the Kraang gun he held.
Perhaps he could blow a hole in the ceiling? He doubted they were that far down. Plus, if he exposed their operations? They'd have to evacuate the base to save themselves detection.
But he didn't have the firepower to punch through the Kraang metal. He had no explosives on his person with which the floor could be destroyed with. That left him rather trapped at the moment with no real way to get out of the base.
But he'd rather try something then give up and let the Kraang capture him. The sooner he made a way to escape? The sooner he could focus on what to do with the material he held.
"Ok, just got to find some explosives." Aayden muttered to himself as he started to look around the room.
There had to be something that he could do. Aayden refused to give up, that was not what the clan trained him to do… And he would be dishonoring them more then he already had to give up.
Aayden aimed the Kraang gun and turned only for a blast to splash through the canister in his hand.
He fell to the ground and turned to see a creature wiggling in the slime next to him.
