"Is there a place that you recommend?" Rin says.
"I Sesshomaru do not acquire the same tastes as you", Sesshomaru says. "Well do you eat anything Lord Sesshomaru, you have to have some kind of preference" testing him, Rin replies.
"I eat meat, some fruit and vegetables, amongst other things", looking at Rin up and down as he said his last statement.
Rin did not realize he was speaking about her or anything sexual, went right over head.
"Since you are being persistent and you did such a good job at the press conference", he says sarcastically. This Sesshomaru will treat you to a restaurant. Do not expect things like this to happen often as I am still your boss".
Rin happily accepts, "That is fine milord, I will follow your lead".
They go to a fancy restaurant for Demons and humans, even though Sesshomaru did not want to admit it, but he was hungry himself. They are seated in a private area, which Sesshomaru was grateful for. The waiter asked if they were ready and Sesshomaru looked at Rin and she nodded.
"I would like to get the Miso soup and a side of Onigiri, and a sparkling water with a lemon please" She looks up and smiles at Sesshomaru.
"And for you sir", the waiter asked.
"I will take the porter house, raw". "Be right up", the waiter says. Sesshomaru looks over to Rin, "About the operating system, what have you done so far? I don't like to pry; you seem very determined when working so I don't like to disturb you but you could tell me something now".
Rin answers, "I think within the end of the program, I should be finished with it, I have not figured out a name for it yet but once I compile my powerpoint, I should find a name by then".
"So, you are just not going to tell me nothing, I want you to know Rin I put a lot of expectation into you and that is a first for this Sesshomaru, so you if you don't pull through, I don't think you would be a good fit for this company. The other three are at a slower pace than you so I really considered you, so do your best and prove me wrong".
Rin sat back in her chair and put her arms over chest, "I will exceed your expectations, Lord Sesshomaru, I must say I do not care for individuals having doubts about me. So, to satisfy my ego you will make a bet with me".
Sesshomaru looked at her with humor, "Oh will I?", Sesshomaru lightly growls.
"Yes, you will". She comes closer to the table, "You will".
"Humor me girl!", Sesshomaru growls louder.
"No need to get so offensive, but I when I get this job, you will give me an Executive Level Position with my own office", Rin says in a smug way.
Sesshomaru eyes flashed red with teal pupils, and Rin sat back and looked down, Sesshomaru took that as submission.
Eyes flashed back to gold, "You will not tell this Sesshomaru what to do, do you understand me girl, do not take my kindness for weakness. You have been trying my patience, you think you are entitled because I have taken a liking in you but do not forget who I am. I can make your career prosper or I can ruin it and believe me I have the power to do it. I would watch your tone with me as you are inferior to me".
Sesshomaru concluded. The rest of the luncheon was pretty much quiet but Rin did make small talk but Sesshomaru was too annoyed to answer, he would just look up at her and continue on with his food.
They leave the Restaurant in awkwardness and get into the car and head back to Inutaisho Tech.
Coming out of an alley way is Kagura, "So they left the press conference to a fancy restaurant huh, Sesshomaru never does such things, if I can't have him then no one will, I will exploit a story even if it is nothing between them".
Upon arriving back at the office, Rin goes to gather her things to head home but before she leaves, she wants to talk to Sesshomaru and apologize for her behavior. She walks up to Sesshomaru's office and he knows Rin is there, He calls for Rin to enter. Rin stands by the door, "What is it Ms Hagawari?"
Rin walks up to the edge up his desk, "I would like to formally apologize to you, I was out of order and from here on I will maintain a professional relationship. I did take your kindness for weakness because you took a liking to me, I took advantage, I hope my job performance will continue to appease you".
"Rin, if that is all, then you may leave, I will see you on Monday", Sesshomaru concluded. Rin bowed and walked out of the room. Sesshomaru sat in frustration, as he knew he met his match; he would give her the executive position and the office, which was not the problem. He in fact he got off on her snapbacks and using her feminine persuasiveness to try to get her way, Sesshomaru smirks at this.
"Just like a female trying to get her mate to be at her every beck and call, but I am an alpha, she will submit to me".
For the next couple weeks there were barely any conversations between Rin and Sesshomaru, as Rin did not want to get the reaction Sesshomaru gave when he scolded her for her behavior. What they did not know is that they were both stealing glances at one of another.
Rin gets a call from Kagome, "Hey Rinny, I miss you so much! When are you going to have a day off?"
Rin says, "We actually have next week off, it's some kind of demon holiday they always have off, what's up?"
Kagome says, "Sooo I wanted to have a get together and I wanted to accommodate everyone and being that you have next week off that would be perfect for the get together. We will cook on the grill; have some drinks, some games. I have invited Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, Shippo, Kanna, Ayame, and I have a guy that I may want you to meet".
Rin replies, "I should have known you had something up your sleeve. I am okay Kagome; I am focused on my work right now".
"Listen Rin, you don't know what you are missing until you try it, I am not saying marry the guy, I just want you to have more of a connection with someone besides work!" Kagome says.
"Well since you put it like that, he can entertain me then, Mr. Stick up his ass won't let me tease him anymore, he has got way too serious, but it was fun when I had somewhat of the control" Rin said humorously.
"Oh my God Rin, he is still your boss, I have got to know Sesshomaru a little and I am surprised he has let you get away with the most of the stuff you told me about. Him and Inuyasha really don't get along" Kagome replies.
"Well, Inuyasha did tell me he didn't get along with anybody but like you said, he really took a liking to me, he even said it out his own mouth but I did ask for something that was way out of my league. I was thinking too far ahead", Rin says.
"Anyway Rinny, come Saturday and meet your new man and make sure you look extra hot even if you are not interested", Kagome says excitingly.
"I'll see you then, I have some notes to finish up, talk to you later".
The call ends and Rin sits back in her chair and thinks and bites her bottom lip, I do kinda miss teasing him, or was I flirting, Rin thinks to herself and smiles.
Sesshomaru sat in his office trying to finish some paperwork when there is a missed call and a voicemail alert from Inuyasha. "Oi, Sesshomaru, somehow you got a package sent to my house, I can give it to you tomorrow, but I will be at Kagome's. She is having some get together with some friends, but you can still come by to pick it up. Her address is….". Sesshomaru wrote the info down and text his brother to let him know he will be there around 2pm.
Saturday comes and Rin is getting ready for the get together, she decided on a sundress, a pink multi flowered Lace Up Backless Flounce Hem Cami Dress (shein), with some flip flops to match, rose gold hoop earrings and her hair in a curly ponytail with some curls hanging on the sides of her face and bangles.
She wanted to add makeup to the look, but she said she would wait until she got to Kagome's for her to do a nice makeup look. She arrived at Kagome's house and let kagome know she needed help with her makeup. Kagome yells for Sango, Ayame, Kanna to come upstairs for some girl talk.
Sango says, "I am so glad you put this together Kagome, married life is so hard with all these kids, Miroku works all the time and I have to deal with so much".
Kanna agrees about working, "Me and Kohaku have not had much time together and this get together was right on time for a good time and catch up with friends".
"So, you guys I am trying to set up Rin, she needs to get some, I don't think she had any since her last relationship which was two years ago. I got my friend coming over later and hopefully they will kick it off", says Kagome being deviously.
Rins breathes out heavily, "Kagome I told you I will just let him entertain me only because I am bored, nothing more, I won't allow him to think more, I am not interested, I have little gadgets that take care of that itch", Rin says with a tint of blush over her cheeks.
"Oh yeah this girl has to get some if she is content with toys!, the girls laugh and agree. "All done!, you look beautiful!"
Rin looks in the mirror and she is stunning. She has a natural makeup look with some tint of pink to compliment her dress. They all start to walk downstairs and head to go out the back door still teasing Rin and laughing.
Sesshomaru heads to Kagome house to pick up his package from Inuyasha. Inuyasha texts him to come around the back, the gate is open. He does not understand why he has to gain entry this way but he was not going to ask any questions. There would be too many humans there for his liking and he rather just get the package and go.
He enters the backyard, sits, and waits for Inuyasha, he looks around at the decorative yard, "All of this for a small get together", he says to himself. He hears laughter coming from the back door; he catches a scent he recognized. "What is she doing here? He says. The sliding door opens and the women come walking out laughing and his jaw nearly drops when he sees Rin.
"Oi, Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru!" He comes out of his gaze to Inuyasha, "Here is your package".
He takes the package and looks back up at Rin. Kagome peeps him staring at Rin and Rin turning her head with a blush tint.
Kagome rushes over to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha and says loudly, "Say Sesshomaru, are you doing anything for the rest of the day, I mean you could join us and hang with the guys, play some games and drink a little. I promise we don't bite".
Sesshomaru looks down on her and really does not want to be there but he cannot leave because his instincts are becoming possessive. He decided to stay and watch over Rin as he did not know who would attend, but he sure did not want anyone near her.
Rin is in shock to see Sesshomaru in such casual wear, some ripped up jeans with a long sleeve gray shirt. He had his sleeves up to his elbows, a iced out rolex and some shoes to match. His flowy hair out.
He looks so regular, just a chill kind of day; I did not think he could pull it off, wearing such high-class name brand suits all the time, he looks good, Rin thought to herself.
"This Sesshomaru can stay for a little while". Rin was actually happy to hear that, she walks up to Sesshomaru, and bows.
"Good Afternoon Lord Sesshomaru". Sesshomaru replies, "You don't have to use the honorifics here as we are off the clock".
Rin nods and thinks to herself, hmmm since we are off the clock, that means I can act the way I want and won't be chastised for it. "
You look nice in your casual wear; I didn't think you could pull it off King Versace".
Sesshomaru looks at her with one his eyebrows up, that is what I miss, that sass! he thinks. "Well Rin you look very inviting, your beauty is undeniable". Rin blushes and thanks him.
Rin thinks she should stay by his side being that she did not want him to feel out of place but then again he volunteered to stay, she really wanted to be near him anyway. Rin could not deny she missed having somewhat of a personal relationship with him and the teasing. Rin, Kanna and Sesshomaru were playing large connect 4, He was determined to win. It was so funny to Rin to see him relax a little. Inuyasha was on the grill and since Sesshomaru was staying, he would keep some meat raw just for him. Sesshomaru seemed to be having a good time, even consuming into some alcohol.
Rin says, "I didn't take you as a drinker, makes you seem not so uptight".
Sesshomaru replies, "You don't know a lot of what this Sesshomaru does on his own time".
Rin announces, "How about we play a game of charades and if we get it wrong then we have to take shots".
Everyone was down for it but before they get to start the game, Kagome gets a text from the mystery man for Rin.
"Hey, hold on guys, my friend just arrived". She walks around front and leads him to the backyard.
"Hey everyone, this is my friend, Sio". She walks him over to where Rin is and says, "Rin this is Sio".
"What a beauty I have the pleasure of meeting". He takes her hand and kisses it.
"Thank you for your kind words", Rin replies.
Sesshomaru looks at the corner of his eye and is instantly annoyed, how dare he touch what is ours! I will keep my cool for now as no one can see this Sesshomaru act of character especially for a human woman, hey says to himself.
Kagome thought it would be perfect for Rin and Sio to pair up with one another for the game, Sesshomaru was quite irritated by this. He end up pairing up with Ayame, Shippo took score as they begin to play the game. Rin was giving Sio so much attention, it annoyed Sesshomaru. She was just being nice, laughing, playful hits and small glares. Rin said she could not play anymore, as she was getting drunk. Pretty much the day ended wonderfully.
Kagome did not want Rin to drive home, Sio offered but Sesshomaru intervened, "I will make sure she will get home safely, as I know her. I have a high tolerance for alcohol, and I see I am the only one that is truly sober". Everyone agreed".
Kagome gave the directions to Rins place and Rin gives Sesshomaru her purse, her keys were inside of her purse.
"Alright Rin I am going to get you home now", Sesshomaru says.
"I don't care where I go as long I can lay my head down" and she falls asleep in his vehicle.
He picked her up bridal style and took her to her apt; he laid her down on the bed and took her shoes off.
"Ms Rin, what have you done to this Sesshomaru, I seemed to become very attracted to you".
He took in her features and ran his nail across her cheek. He decided to stay with her to make sure she would be okay and discuss any discrepancies she would have waking up from her drunken slumber. He sent a text to her phone to let her not to be startled but he took her home and that he was in her living room to make sure she was good for the night.
He sat on Rin's couch, My Rin, Sesshomaru thought and closed his eyes.
I wanted to explain why I named the chapter Hyperlinks, I wanted to compare it to clicking on a link to see what the contents are inside. For this example Rin gets to know Sesshomaru as he can become controlling and a little terrifying. He truly cares for her, he is just trying to put the puzzle pieces together so it can make sense to him, as he always been the same for hundreds of years.
I will try to get out as many chapters as I can, it may take a couple days from here on but I will get them out and if you have any ideas for me, you can always shoot me a message, As I am trying to figure out how to start the real Lemon between them two.
