Hiya guys~

So my dumb ass legit just realized I had this chapter completed and uploaded to my Doc Manager and only just now came across it again. I should've posted the chapter months ago, I feel so stupid 😆😅

Better late than never?

Disclaimer: I forgot how to write these disclaimers, so here's the boring standard. I do not own Digimon Frontier or any of its characters. I only own Rosalie, her Spirits, the plot and any digimon that aren't on the official wiki page.

No. Nope. Again nothing. Nopes. Nada. And again nothing! Rosalie groaned loudly as she plopped down on the Trailmon station bench. She'd been going around the town for hours now. No one she asked so far knew anything about the other kids. Not even a rumor! Well, at least she didn't get brushed off with being a history freak again. Maybe Agumon and Lalamon were wrong... Maybe they heard someone mention their history with humans or something...

She decided to eat a little before continuing her quest. While she was snacking on the fruit, she looked around at the buildings. Some had DigiCode above them and seemed to be shops. She read one, just for practice. Let's see... A combination between an X and H, odd looking R, odd looking F... Odd looking X. Wait... She quickly grabbed the alphabet sheet out of her pocket. The X/H was i, R was n...f and o. Info! I mean, doubt they know about rumors, but someone there was bound to know!

The brunette quickly snatched up her bag and ran for the info-station, which was really formed more like a shop. As she entered, she saw there were only a few digimon, non of which she recognized, not that that said much.

She went up to the desk where a yellow fox digimon on two legs stood. "Can I help you with anything?" the calm, male voice asked.

"I hope so." Rosalie said as she approached the digimon. "Any chance you know about the human rumors?"

"The rumors about humans?" the digimon asked confused. "Well... I've heard a few. Someone had told a friend of mine that he had seen humans heading towards the Forest Terminal."

'Forest Terminal... That's where that castle is. This isn't any help.' Rosalie kept in a sigh to not seem impolite. "I see, thank you."

Rosalie plopped down on the bench outside again. Now what? This town was way to big to explore, and the only lead so far is that they went to the Forest Terminal. That was the lead she'd been following before she got captured at that broken down castle.

"Excuse me, I heard you wanted to know about the other humans?" A sudden voice startled the girl out of her thoughts. Next to her sat a pink bird digimon with blue accents and yellow paws with some kind of ring around one. Rosalie just nodded. "A friend of mine said he'd seen a group of humans riding atop a Whamon. Though, I'm not sure where they were going or where my friend saw them." she told the girl. "Are you looking for them?"

Again, Rosalie nodded. "Yeah, my sister is with them." she said. "I kind of...got separated from them, and it's important that I find them."

"I see..." The pink digimon looked thoughtful. She suddenly stuck her hand out. "I'm Biyomon, by the way. What's your name?"

"I'm Rosalie." she said, shaking Biyomon's hand...paw? Err...Wing? "Any chance you can ask that friend of yours where he saw them?"

Biyomon shook her head. "I'm afraid not. He went on a trip, but didn't say where to."

Oh how she wanted to scream now! Every lead she gets turns out to be dead or unreachable! The Forest Terminal lead, the 'rumors in Trail Race Town' lead, every single lead in said town and now this one too! With a groan she let herself faceplant on the bench, which ended up in the most awkward position considering she was sitting on that bench.

"...ali.. Ro..ali. ROSALIE!" With a start the girl jumped up. Who called her? What was going on? Who knew her name?! "Rose, please answer."

Sophia? Wait! The D-Tector! Quickly, and clumsily, she pulled the device out of her pocket. "I'm here, I'm here..." Sure enough, the D-Tector was showing a symbol that usually came with a call, but it wasn't her sisters'. "Sophia?" she questioned when she saw the pink symbol.

"Rose! Oh thank god. Where are you? Are you okay? How did you end up in the digital world?!" Oh great, panic mode Sophia.

"I'm fine, Soph! Calm down." Rosalie sighed. "I'm somewhere called Trail Race Town? I was at a Burgermon Village before, though. As for how I got here... I got a message on my phone, followed instructions from a mysterious voice and ended up here- and that just sounded incredibly stupid..."

Sophia laughed on the other side of the call. "Yeah, following a mysterious voice does sound stupid... But it happened to us too, so it's not like I don't believe you." Well that's...not what she meant, but let's roll with it~ "Are you sure you're okay? Koichi told me you lost your Spirits."

"Traitor..." Rosalie muttered. "I'm sure. I'm sure. I've had help." she told the other. "But where are you guys? I'll come to you."

"No! No, I mean..." Rosalie could barely make out a sigh from the D-Tector. "We're about to move around again. We're still discussing what exactly we should do." she explained. "But." But? Buts are good, right? "Can you get to the Autumn Leaf Fair? We're headed there."

Rosalie nodded, only to realize Sophia couldn't see that. "Right. I'm sure I can find a Trailmon and head over there."

"Great. Though, be careful. There are a bunch of evil digimon out there-"

"I know… How do you think I lost my Spirits?" Rosalie sighed sadly. She missed Puranmon and Kotobamon.

"Sorry... I just don't want you to get hurt." There was a pause on the other side of the line. "I'll see you there, okay? Be careful."

The younger sister chuckled softly. "You said that already, but I will. See you there."

"Right." There was another pause, before mumbling came on Sophia's side. "Ho- How do you hang up a D-Tector…? Maybe..No."

Static.

Guess she figured out how to hang up. Now... Rosalie stood up, running towards the time table. Where was Autumn Leaf Fair?

Before she could take out her Digi-Code alphabet, she felt something grab her arm. "Uhm, Rosalie." It was Biyomon. "The Trailmon to the Autumn Leaf Fair left a little while ago. Another one won't come for at least a few hours."

"No!" Rosalie exclaimed. "I have to get there fast. I can't miss them again! I arrived too late so many times, I can't handle another one."

Biyomon felt for the girl, but she couldn't make the Trailmon hurry up. Though there was something else she could do. "Rosalie. Are you afraid of heights?"

Rosalie, through unshed tears, shook her head. "No, why?"

Biyomon proudly puffed her chest out. "I know a way to get you to the Autumn Leaf Fair."

Now that caught the girl's attention. Biyomon took that as a sign to continue. Taking a deep breath, she did what she needed to do.

"BIYOMON DIGIVOLVE TO! …BIRDRAMON!"

It place of the small, pink bird now stood a huge orange phoenix. Rosalie's eyes widened in surprise. But… How exactly was this going to get her to the Autumn Leaf Fair?

Birdramon stepped forward with one paw, seeing the girl's confusion. "Climb on." she said.

That's how Rosalie ended up on the paw of a giant phoenix digimon, flying across the digital world about 60 feet in the air. Needless to say, she was clinging to Birdramon's paw for dear life. Though, the girl did have to admit that the scenery was quite a sight. At first the Italy/France-like view of Trail Race Town was all she saw, but soon that became a mountainous area. For some reason there were digimon down on the hills and canyons laying down train tracks.

"Hey Birdramon, what's that all about down there?" Rosalie asked, pointing down towards the working digimon.

Birdramon followed her finger. "Oh! Them? They're laying down the Trailmon tracks for the GTR."

"GTR?" Rose was even more confused now.

"The Great Trailmon Race." Birdramon answered. "It's a race between Trailmon that's held every half year. It's really fun! I've been training to join for ages now, but I'm always too late to sign in." She sighs. "Not to mention that annoying ShadowWereGarurumon…"

The brunette looked thoughtfully, examining the workers some more. "That does kind of sound like fun." They were putting trails on a narrow canyon, around the twisting path of one of the mountains and even through a cave. "Not really my thing, but sounds fun anyways."

"Oh? Then what is your thing?"

So Rosalie and Birdramon spend the trip talking about whatever they could think of. Rosalie told her about her enjoyment of baton twirling, while Birdramon told her about her love of racing. Any kind of race. Eventually the view of the mountains became plain fields, then water.

The sight of the seas beneath them made Rosalie cling tighter to her backpack. She did not want to lose it or its content. The jumping Dolphmon made it a little more enjoyable though. It did get kind of boring, though. There was no real view aside from tons of water, and she and Birdramon had run out of topics to talk about.

"Birdramon? Do you know how much longer it is until we get to the Autumn Leaf Fair?" Rosalie wondered.

Birdramon looked around at her surroundings, trying to figure it put for herself. "It shouldn't be too long…" she faltered uncertainly. She'd never flown the route before, always having relied on Trailmon to get her from point A to point B. "See those icebergs up ahead?" The brunette squinted her eyes, but she did see the small icebergs. "That should mean we're getting closer to the continent of ice. That's where the Autumn Leaf Fair is."

Rosalie nodded. "That's good… And hopefully with plenty time to spare."

"Really eager, aren't you?" Birdramon chuckled.

"No! Yes? Just…" Rosalie groaned. "I just always arrive too late and I'm sick of it." she explained. "Go to the digital world, she said. Too late! Your sister and other kids have already left. Arrive at Breezy village. Too late! They were there, but left days ago. Go to the Wind Factory. Nope! Not only is it destroyed, but the humans left, again, daaays ago… Same for another village, some TV-Forest and the Forest Terminal!" she ranted on, getting increasingly more frustrated. "Oh, that one was the worst! I arrived at a broken down castle that was just fought in. Like, just before I got there! And they were already gone! But not the attackers, nope! I fight I lose, I get kidnapped and I'm even further away from my sister!" Finally the girl let out a frustrated growl.

Birdramon listened on quietly as her human companion vented her heart out. "Are you feeling better now?" Was all she asked when the girl was done.

"…Much." she muttered, gripping the digimon's paw tighter.

The phoenix digimon nodded. "I can understand your anger. That is the worst luck I've ever heard." Ignoring the grumbling that was a sarcastic 'thanks', she continued. "But your sister knows your location now, doesn't she? I'm sure she won't leave the Autumn Leaf Fair without you. And if she does, I might have to give her a taste of my meteor wing."

Rosalie sweat-dropped. "Please don't…"

They flew in silence once more. The longer they flew above the sea, the more little icebergs appeared. At some point the little icebergs become big ones and the cold really started to hit the traveling duo. Eventually the sea split into little rivers as Birdramon and Rosalie finally flew above solid land.

The land below was covered in snow and nothing but snow as far as the eye could see. It was rough terrain, with big cracks splitting up the shore and chunks of ice sticking up like hills from the otherwise flat area. It all became flatter the further inland they flew, though, but still as covered in snow.

"Guess this is why it's called the ice continent, huh?" Rosalie murmured.

She suddenly noticed Birdramon seemed to be flying lower than before. As she was about to ask what was wrong, the same Fractal Code from before covered Birdramon. The huge phoenix turned back into the small pink Biyomon who couldn't even hold herself in the air anymore, let alone Rosalie.

Together they fell the remaining distance to ground level. Luckily the snow broke most of their fall, but it still caused some soreness. Though Rosalie wasn't too worried about her injuries at the moment.

"Biyomon!" she called out to the unmoving lump of pink. As quickly as she could, with all the snow holding her back, she ran over to her friend and fell on her knees next to the digimon. "Biyomon? Biyo! Are you okay?"

The pink digimon stirred. "Been better." she shivered.

Rosalie quickly scrambled for her backpack, which she somehow managed to keep a hold on during their fall, and pulled out the blanket Mama Burgermon had packed for her. The tween quickly covered Biyomon in the warm and soft-as-hell blanket, hoping to warm her enough to stop the shivering.

It worked, albeit a little… It was enough that Biyomon could at least move again. "Are you okay now?" Rosalie asked, still worried.

Biyomon nodded. "I'll be fine… But we'd better keep moving." She struggled to her feet, but managed to stay upright. "The faster we get to the Autumn Leaf Fair, the faster we're out of this cold."

Rosalie didn't follow her logic, but followed anyway. She lived here, she would know better, so she didn't question it. So began their trek through the thick snow.

After many long minutes trekking through the hard-to-navigate land, the duo was lucky enough to find a set of Trailmon tracks. They could've jumped in joy if it hadn't been for the wind and the cold. The shivering duo followed the tracks, which they had luckily walked decently adjacent to already.

"H-how f-f-far do y-you thi-ink it i-is?" Rosalie asked the equally freezing Biyomon.

Biyomon just shook her head. "D-d-d-on't kno-ow." That's no good… Then the digimon fell in a heap of shivers. That's even worse! "Biyo!"

The girl knelt down next to Biyomon, holding her up. Looks like the cold finally got to her… Desperately Rosalie looked around if there was any snow digimon or anyone that could help. Instead, she found something else. Though a little hard to see through the snowfall that had started earlier, she could swear she saw smoke coming from what seemed to be a giant hole.

Could this be the Autumn Leaf Fair?

Well! If it was or wasn't didn't matter right now! Her friend needed to get warmed up and smoke meant warmth, so that giant hole was where she was headed!

Rosalie tucked the blanket around Biyomon like a blanket burrito and, although struggling, picked her up. She walked as fast as she could towards the smoking hole. The closer she got, the more details she could see of the place, like the giant boiler the smoke was apparently coming from. When she made it to the edge of the hole, she took a glance at the place surrounding the giant boiler.

It was a town! Buildings, Trailmon stations (yes plural), something that seemed to be a marketplace and digimon! There were digimon all around. And one thing she didn't see… snow. There was no snow!

Without further hesitation, Rosalie slid down the slope and trying her best to not fall with the extra weight in her arms. She succeeded, until the end where she tripped and fell over her own feet. She barely managed to twist herself so she wouldn't land on Biyomon.

Both exhausted creatures just lay on the ground for a while, catching their breath and getting warm, not caring that other digimon were staring at them.

After a couple of minutes just laying there, Rosalie spoke up. "Please tell me this is the Autumn Leaf Fair…"

Biyomon giggled weakly. "Yeah… It is."

Success. Now to find the other warriors.

Yes, I realize it's almost been a whole year! I'm trying to get back to writing this, but it's hard when Digimon isn't my current hyperfixation. Sorry.
