Chapter 5: The Party Formulation
I knew that Howard was gonna ask us to come. Bernadette wanted to have a Girls' Night. We arrived and Bernadette whisked me and Amy out to Halley's playhouse.
"Ok you two, We need to do something big." Bernadette said
"Why?" Asked Amy
"Let me guess, something to celebrate my pregnancy and Amy & Halley's birthdays plus Christmas?" I asked
"Damn, the pregnancy brain hasn't affected you yet Penny." Bernadette said
I laughed. "It totally has. It took me a solid hour to realize that it's almost Christmas."
"AND?" Prompted Amy
"AND your birthday and Halley's birthday."
"The real reason I wanted to talk to you girls is because I have a surprise!"
"You're pregnant!" Amy blurted out
"Oh god no, I'm getting a promotion at work and I want each of you to help head a team for me. Penny, I want you to head the sales team on the new drug and Amy, I want you to be the head of the research for how it affects the brain."
"Wow, Bernie. Thank you!" I said
"That's great! I have so many ideas!" Amy noted
We eventually made our way back inside with our spouses and we planned to have a white elephant party on Amy & Halley's birthday to do a triple celebration.
Leonard and I got in the car and drove home. Sheldon and Amy helped Leonard get the tree into the elevator and up to our apartment.
We decided to decorate the tree tomorrow, as we were tired. We spent the rest of the night snuggling together and watching a rerun of a movie.
