Chapter song - Could Be Good by Kat Cunning (Kakuzu pov)

Kakuzu woke before Hidan, turning around in bed to face his lover's sleeping figure.

Hidan wasn't the cutest sleeper, arms splayed out in a sleeping position that couldn't possibly be comfortable. The comforter was a tangle between them, Kakuzu just covered with the sheets by this point. Kakuzu smiled to himself.

Despite Hidan's awkward position, his face was still as he snored silently. Kakuzu gazed at him without any hint of his usual shyness. Hidan's smooth chest was exposed above the blanket. Although the Jashinist didn't hit the gym regularly, he had a good natural amount of muscle, and his lean stomach curved into soft pecs. His silver rosary glinted on his chest. As Kakuzu's eyes continued up, Hidan's collarbone was more angular which continued up through his firm jawline. The boy hadn't showered yet, and his impossibly strong hair gel kept his silver locks smoothed back, even on the pillow. His face that was usually contorted in a smirk or yelling about one thing or another was instead soft as he slept. Kakuzu drew in the view, reveling in the fact that this side of Hidan was one just for him.

He crept out of bed so as to not awake his sleeping partner, and left to get the morning coffee going.

He sat at the kitchen table, relaxing as the coffee machine started to pop to life. It was another calm morning, soft sunlight streaming through his apartment window's blinds.

His eyes closed as he leaned back in the chair. Last night had been...very interesting, to say the least. He'd been wondering how they would break the news of their new relationship, and of course Hidan had to draw it out until the last second. Kakuzu would never normally do something as bold as he did last night, PDA grossed him out after all. But seeing Hidan's little finger begging him to come closer for a body shot, he just couldn't help himself. Plus he couldn't have said no with all of the people standing in the kitchen staring at him last night.

He remembered it clearly, Hidan's body, hot as fuck, leaning back on his elbows on the kitchen island. That position very much reminded him of their first time together, when Hidan had leaned back on his bed, begging him to come closer. That night...had been a very interesting experience, too. Despite Kakuzu never having had sex with a guy before, Hidan's body just spelled out a song that he seemed to know the words to. It had been mind-blowing, their bodies perfectly in rhythm with each other.

Kakuzu shifted, an uncomfortable bulge in his pants growing.

He shook the thoughts out of his head, and decided to scroll through his phone for a while.

Ten minutes later, the sound of footsteps emerged from the bedroom. Hidan groaned sleepily, walking into the kitchen and reaching for the cupboard. He poured himself a cup of coffee and sat at the table with Kakuzu.

"Morning sleepyhead." Kakuzu called.

"Yeah...morning." Hidan responded. He took a sip of the coffee and grimaced, getting up to get some creamer. Pouring some, he took a tentative sip, and then poured some more. Satisfied, he plopped back down at the table, still shirtless.

"Not bothering with the shirt today, huh?" Kakuzu asked playfully.

Hidan eyed him. "I never wear a shirt when I'm home. No point, honestly."

Kakuzu was a little surprised at the response, but just chuckled lightly to himself. What a weirdo.

"So you got any plans for today? It's a Sunday, so I'm off all day." Kakuzu said.

Hidan sat up a little bit, slightly more awake. "Nah, I don't do much on the weekends. I have my part-time job on Mondays and Tuesdays and then just run my blog the rest of the time." He took a sip of his coffee.

Oh, yeah. Kakuzu had forgotten about that little detail. "What part-time job do you have, again?"

"My sis owns a reptile shop in the town next over. I work the counter, feed the animals, yada yada." He responded nonchalantly.

Kakuzu hmm'd. There was still so much that he didn't know about his new boyfriend, but he was eager to find out. "Your sister, huh? What's your family like?" He asked.

Hidan met his gaze. "Pretty normal, I guess. After I moved here, I really just see them on holidays and stuff. What about you?"

"I used to be really close with my mom." Kakuzu responded." She passed away a long time ago though, and I don't talk with my dad much. I don't think he likes my career choice very much."

"Oh...I'm sorry." Hidan said.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I moved here since I knew Kisame and now that I have this career, it doesn't really matter anymore. Water under the bridge, I guess." Kakuzu said.

"Ah, I gotcha." Hidan said, but he didn't look very convinced. "Anyway, I'll probably head home for the day. I'm just gonna sleep off this hangover."

A melody started blaring, and Hidan groggily opened his eyes.

He blearily looked at his phone, swiping up to answer.

"HEY, why aren't you texting me back, hmm?" Deidara accused.

"I was taking nap, dickhead." Hidan responded.

"Geez, why do you sleep so much? Anyway, doesn't matter. Ya got thirty minutes to meet me at the cafe so you can fill me in on everything that's going on with your new boy-toy." Deidara said.

Hidan laughed. "Yeah, okay. See ya then." Click.

He closed his eyes again for a moment, then finally sat up and stretched his neck. His catnap had successfully cured his hangover, so he didn't have a problem with going out for a few hours.

He and Deidara had been friends since Dei started going to the local art school last year. Funny enough, they had met on a dating app but quickly realized they weren't the type for each other once they'd met in person. Didn't stop them from quickly becoming friends though, and Hidan loved teasing the blonde, but in a friendly way. It also didn't hurt that they were both gay, so Deidara enjoyed bouncing ideas off Hidan when it came to Sasori.

They met up at the usual spot, a small coffeehouse in the downtown area. Hidan took his bike to get there, enjoying the feel of the ride. He'd gotten his motorcycle endorsement just last year and ended up selling his old car since he never used it. Grocery and food delivery was cheap enough, so no point in him going out and wasting his time shopping.

Deidara was already sitting at a table inside and waved him over. It was a nice little secluded spot, away from the crowds so little kids wouldn't get mentally scarred listening to them. Hidan plopped down, setting his motorcycle helmet next to him.

"What's goin on." He said casually, ringing himself up a caramel frappe on the kiosk sitting at the table.

Dei eyed him. "Yeah, what's going on is right, hmm. You really had me fooled, acting like you didn't know shit about Kakuzu and what went down after you two had a literal fistfight." He set his chin down on his hands, sipping the straw poking out of his drink loudly while glaring at him.

"I know, I'm sorry Dei. It's a long story." He said, leaning back in his chair.

"Well...?" Dei said eagerly.

Hidan sighed. Guess it was time to fess up. Maybe not everything...but Dei deserved to know.

"Kakuzu and I had been fine for a while. I mean, we were hanging out all the time for a few weeks. But I never, like, wanted to push the guy. I heard he went though a nasty breakup with some chick so I honestly didn't even think he was interested."

"Oh yeah, what was her name? Sasori told me about her before. I think it was...Yugito? Yeah, that sounds right. I dunno much about her but Sasori and Kisame were talking about her at the shop one time when Kakuzu wasn't around. They said she was a total psycho."

Hidan listened, very interested. "What about her was psycho?" He asked.

The blonde's brows furrowed as he tried to remember. "Not sure, honestly. They just said she was super toxic."

Hmm. Hidan wondered what Yugito had been to Kakuzu...and hoped that Kakuzu didn't have any lingering feelings for her. He had to talk to Kakuzu about it, and shut that shit down quick if Kakuzu was still hung up on her. Kuzu was his now.

"Do you think I should ask him about it?" Hidan questioned.

"Uh...probably not, hmm. Kakuzu will bring it up when he's ready to talk about it. Or maybe never, if he really doesn't care about her anymore." Deidara responded.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Hidan said.

"Soooo, who came onto who first?!" Dei finally broke out, tired of beating around the bush.

Hidan smiled. "It was actually Kakuzu. A week after our fight, we both ended up at the bar trying to get shit-faced and ended up getting super drunk together. Not on purpose or anything, but you know...one thing lead to another, I guess."

"Boo!" Deidara said. "I want details. But first, you gotta tell me why the fight happened. Normally dudes that like each other don't beat the shit out of each other."

Hidan laughed. The blonde had a point. "Okay so...he found out about my blog."

"WHAAT?" Deidara screeched.

"SHH DAMMIT!" Hidan yelled back, not really bringing the volume level down by much. "People are watching."

Deidara just rolled his eyes in response. "How did he find out, hmm?"

"Well..." Hidan started. "I have a confession to make." Deidara leaned in closely, eyes dead-set on his. "You know that my blog is like a crowdfunding thing, right?"

Deidara nodded intently. "Like, a kinky blog, right?" He laughed a little.

"Yeah, well it's actually a specific kink. Have you heard of play piercing before?" Hidan said.

Deidara's eyes squinted as he thought hard for just a second, then whipped out his phone and tapped furiously. "AaaaHHH!" He yelled, screaming louder as he scrolled lower.

Hidan whipped his hand forward, slamming Dei's phone on the table. "Dude, stop." He laughed. "You're gonna get us kicked out of here if you keep screaming like that."

Deidara brought his phone back up, checking to see that the screen wasn't broken. "Okay, so you're into some really hardcore shit, hmm. Honestly, that doesn't surprise me all that much. But how did Kakuzu...?"

"He saw some bruises on my arms. I thought that my shirt covered them but he saw them and totally flipped out on me. He was convinced that someone had bruised me up and was freaking the fuck out. Honestly, it was kinda cute seeing him all defensive like that, but I couldn't just go out and tell him that I had left those bruises there. So we started arguing about it and...yeah." He finished.

Deidara sat back, putting all of the puzzle pieces together in his mind. "So you guys met up at the bar a week later, got drunk, and boom?" He asked.

"Well..." Hidan admitted. "It didn't go that smoothly. Kakuzu was stupid drunk, I had to drag him to his apartment and we only made it up three goddamn floors because there was an elevator. Anyway, we make it back to his place and he made the first move."

"Ohh?" Deidara said, surprised.

"Yeah, I was surprised too. Haha, I actually kinda pushed him off me." He admitted.

"What? I thought you liked the guy?" Dei said.

"Yeah, yeah, let me finish. I've liked the guy for a while now but he was super drunk, so I just didn't want to go there. So I run out of his room, but I'm like, crazy tired? So I fell asleep in the hallway." He said.

Deidara stared at him. "I swear, you can fall asleep anywhere..."

"And the next morning we wake up, and I felt really bad about everything. But since I knew that Kakuzu liked me, I finally got some fucking nerve and made a move on him."

Deidara smiled. "How far do those stitch tattoos go, hmm?"

"They go allll over, baby." Hidan laughed. "OH! And get this. I got to pop his boy-cherry."

Deidara's mouth fell open. "Holy shit Hidan!" He started laughing uncontrollably, clutching his stomach for air. "Only you could turn a straight man gay, I swear to god."

As Kakuzu stayed in for the night, he spent his time on the couch, binge watching some tv. Eventually, he moved to his bed, scrolling through social media on his phone.

He took a deep breathe. Although the bed was made neatly, a small hint of Hidan's cologne lingered in the sheets from the night before. He rolled over, taking in the scent.

Kakuzu thought to himself all of the events that had happened in the past few days. Particularly, Hidan's unique fetish.

He sat up quickly, bringing his phone to his face. He began searching on the most popular crowdfunding website. Scrolling...scrolling...and he found it.

piercemebaby the username read. He snorted a laugh. But that was definitely Hidan in the profile picture, with his trademark silver hair color. He tapped on the profile and read the bio. Nothing surprised him too much, it appeared to be a kink page for play piercing. He scrolled for a while down the page, seeing plenty of posts. Almost all of them were censored out, however. This site, like many others, required viewers to pay a regular subscription to see the images.

He stared at the subscribe button. Might as well, he figured. He hated the idea of crowdfunding, or spending money to support anything, really. Business was where honest money was generated. But at this moment, he was eager, and maybe a little bit anxious, to see what Hidan had posted online for his viewers.

He clicked the cheapest option - one dollar per month. Immediately, a good majority of the images cleared the censors. There were photos of needles on medical trays and close-up shots that detailed the different gauges, as well as how different brands used different colored handles for the respective gauges. There were informative articles, from usage, history, to current events located around the country that followed alternative or "edgeplay" as it was called.

And of course, there were photos of play piercing. Photos upon photos. All of them were of Hidan, identified by his milky pale skin. Neat rows of needles traced arms, legs, backs, and pecs. There were even some photos of needles along areas that had very little deposits of fat. Kakuzu knew as a tattoo artist which parts of the body were fatty and which weren't. For example, tattoo work along heels, elbows, heads, or bony parts such as the collarbone were very painful for clients. Yet Hidan had needle play along plenty of these parts. Kakuzu shuddered a little bit at those particular photos.

He noticed that Hidan had kept true to his word; there were not any pornographic photos despite this being a kink blog. He saw Hidan's face a few times within the photos, and his face was always hot and flushed.

Kakuzu stared at one photo longer than any others. In this scene, he had a few needles piercing his right pec in a circular motion. Rather than a close-up on the actual work, this photo was taken from behind him as he gazed at himself in the mirror. His expression was calm, but full of lust. His eyes were heavy and half-lidded, cheeks red.

Kakuzu knew that look in his eye. And he wanted more. He wanted to see Hidan's face turned into this expression. Mouth slightly parted, with his tongue sneaking out around his slightly-upturned lips. A devilish beckon that said "pierce me, baby."
