Chapter Five
[Midoriya Residence (Blue Hour – 1st Month of training)
POV: Midoriya Izuku]

At the sound of his alarm ringing, Izuku opened his eyes and shut off his alarm.
(Walk along the razor's edge
But don't look down just keep your head, or you'll be finished!)
He quickly rolled off of the bed and jumped to this feet. After taking care of business and washing up, Izuku promptly threw on a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and some sneakers and ran out of his room.
(Open up the limit)
As he made it to the living room, Inko sat at the table drinking some coffee with a newspaper in her hand. She held up a plate of food as Izuku rushed past and snagged the plate. "You boys, have a good day. Tell Yagi-san I said hello!" Inko chirped out.
(Past the point of no return
Reached the top, but still, you gotta learn how to keep it!)
"You too, and we will!" Izuku replied before he shut the front door. Izuku ran down eight floors before reaching the front of the building, where Toshinori stood, wearing a baggy blue jumpsuit.
(Hit the wheel and double the stakes)
"Time to go, Young Midoriya," Toshinori said before he took the plate of food from Izuku and got on the boy's shoulders. Izuku stood up and began to jog to his location, all while Toshinori passed him some food.
"I-I didn't realize you were so heavy!" Izuku whined with shaky legs.
"This is only the first month. You have nine more of this to go, Young Midoriya," Toshinori warned as he took a bit of the breakfast riceball.
[Takoba Municipal Beach Park (Dawn – 3rd Month of Training)
POV: Mirā Ukuzi and Midoriya Izuku]
(Throttle wide open like a bat outta hell
You could crash the gates)
"Keep going, Young Mirā!" Toshinori exclaimed as Uzuki dragged the destroyed ATV to the entrance, his teeth gritted, and his eyes narrowed in concentration. "We're at the third-month mark! Only seven more to go!"
Uzuki managed to get the ATV to the beach's entrance and took a breath before grabbing the ropes and running to a large slab of twisted metal. He fastened the rope around the slab and began to pull while Toshinori changed into All-Might and sat on it.
(Crash the gates!)
"YES! YOU ARE MAKING PERFECT TIME!" All-Might exclaimed as Uzuki groaned out in pain.
Two hours passed, and the large slab of metal was at the entrance. Izuku was now bench pressing two light truck tires that were safely fastened to a standard barbell. Izuku's arms were shaking due to how heavy it was, but All-Might was spotting him using his index finger.
"YOU'RE DOING GOOD YOUNG MIDORIYA. GO BEYOND YOUR LIMITS. TWENTY-FIVE. ONLY FIFTEEN MORE TO GO!" All-Might encouraged as Izuku whimpered in pain but he kept going.
He wouldn't fail here.
[Takoba Municipal Beach Park (Morning – 5th Month of Training)
POV: Mirā Ukuzi and Midoriya Izuku]
(Going for the back of beyond)
With Necrotic Edge drawn, Uzuki slashed at All-Might, who maneuvered against the weapon with a wide grin.
(Nothing gonna stop you, there's nothing that's wrong)
"YOUR SPEED HAS INCREASED. ONE OF THESE DAYS, YOU MIGHT HIT ME!" All-Might exclaimed as he shoved Uzuki back with his pinky, sending Uzuki skidding against the metal and sand of the beach.
(So close now you're nearly at the brink
So push it, ooh yeah)
Uzuki flipped to his feet, and with a burst of black energy, Izuku was in control. Izuku charged forward and jumped into the air to deliver a flying kick, but All-Might avoided it by stepping to the side.
(Welcome to the limit)
Izuku skidded and ran forward and attempted to land three punches, but All-Might blocked each jab. Izuku twisted his body, and with a burst of white energy, Uzuki regained control with Necrotic Edge appearing in his hand.
(The limit!)
All-Might jumped into the air to avoid the broad sweep of the blade before he landed behind Uzuki and tapped the back of his head with his index finger, sending Uzuki to the ground.
(Take it baby, one step more)
"SWITCHING MID-COMBAT. IMPRESSIVE INGENUITY OF YOUR QUIRK, YOUNG MIRĀ, AND MIDORIYA. YOU ARE MAKING GREAT STRIDES AT BECOMING A HERO!" All-Might yelled with a broad smile.
(The power game's still playing so you better win it…)
Uzuki leaned up and grinned as the white mist of Izuku flowed with excitement.
[Aldera Junior High (Morning – 5th Month of Training)
POV: Midoriya Izuku]
(*Instrumental*)
Izuku tapped his bandaged-up fingers against his lips as he stared at the notebook in front of him. 'We're making good strides, but we're still lagging. We have to finish training our body a week before the exams.'
"That gives us one-hundred and forty-five and a half days. We're already halfway there in regards to clearing the beach, but we're behind in regards to training our Quirk, and we've yet to find a good fighting style to fit both of us," Uzuki added.
'We need to be more efficient. Perhaps we wake up at 3:00 A.M instead of 4:00 A.M so we can train about six hours before school with All-Might and then six hours after school on our own. Maybe we should also take up bodybuilding as well,' Izuku stated.
"We're already walking along the razor's edge, so we may need to factor in days of rest as well. Otherwise, we might pass the point of no return and fuck something up," Uzuki added on.
'I don't think so. We're already cutting it close. We should remove two days a month of rest so we can wo-' Izuku was interrupted by his teacher's hand hitting Izuku on top of his head.
"Did your encounter with that villain a few months ago make you crazier? Focus up," his teacher said as his hand reattached to his wrist.
"S-Sorry," Izuku stammered out with a blush.
[Streets of Musutafu, Japan (Afternoon – 7th Month of Training)
POV: Midoriya Izuku]
(*Instrumental Continues*)
Izuku stumbled as he tripped up on a pothole.
Toshinori peeked his head out of his car and said, "Don't slow down now, Young Midoriya!"
Izuku regained his footing as he ran after Toshinori's car, sweat pouring down his face as he gripped the iron safe over his shoulders. Around his waist was a rope that was tied to the bumper of Toshinori's car.
(Push it to the limit)
"Just three more miles Midoriya, and we got this by the ass!" Uzuki exclaimed, which caused adrenaline to fill Izuku's veins.
'Must keep going!' Izuku screamed in his head.
[Takoba Municipal Beach Park (Evening – 8th Month of Training)
POV: Mirā Ukuzi and Midoriya Izuku]
(The limit!)
Uzuki let out a yell as Necrotic Edge sliced through the air as All-Might ducked, causing strands of the hero's hair to become separated from his head. All-Might rose and flicked his middle finger at Uzuki's chest, sending the teen skidding backward against the sand.
(With no one left to stand in your way)
All-Might jumped forward and attempted a roundhouse kick at Uzuki's head, but the teen ducked, and with a flash of black energy, Izuku gained control and rose sharply and delivered an uppercut to All-Might.
(You might get careless, but you'll never be safe)
All-Might leaned his head back to avoid the uppercut, but Izuku bent his arm and drove it down and his elbow collided with the bridge of All-Might's nose, causing the Pro-Hero to look at him in surprise before he grinned.
(While you're still livin')
All-Might flicked his pinky against Izuku's stomach, causing the teen to hunch over in pain before All-Might placed his ring finger beneath Izuku's chin and flicked it, causing Izuku to rocket into the air.
(Welcome to the limit)
Uzuki took control and twisted his body with a burst of white energy, so his front faced the ground. "Necrotic Edge: Deadly Wave!" Uzuki shouted as he sliced his left palm with his right thumbnail and swung his arm, causing a crescent-shaped wave of necrotic energy to fly towards All-Might.
(the limit)
All-Might dashed backward to avoid the energy, causing a slight mist of energy to rise from the collision. Uzuki landed on the ground with a burst of energy, causing Izuku to regain control. Izuku landed on the ground, aimed his finger at All-Might, and shouted, "Healing Bullet!"
(Standing on the razor's edge)
The shard of light shot through the mist towards the Pro-Hero, and while All-Might avoided it, he was knicked in the left forearm by the attack.
All-Might suddenly stopped moving, but Izuku could see the tiny particles of the mint-green energy floating from the Pro-Hero.
(So don't look down just keep your head, or you'll be finished!)
"He's under its effects! Go Midoriya!" Uzuki yelled.
Izuku ran forward and jumped into the air to perform a roundhouse kick, but All-Might caught the foot with a speed Izuku didn't know he had.

"CLOSE, BUT NO CIGAR YET, YOUNG MIDORIYA AND MIRĀ!" All-Might exclaimed before he placed his middle finger at Izuku's chest and flicked him while releasing his leg, sending Izuku flying backward into a pile of mattresses.
(Push it to the limit, Hey!)

Izuku collided with the mattresses, his eyes spiraling before All-Might appeared before him, his hand held out to Izuku.

Izuku shook his head repeatedly until his eyes returned. The teen then smiled and took All-Might's hand.
[Takoba Municipal Beach Park (Nighttime – 10th Month of Training)
POV: Midoriya Izuku]
(Push it to the limit, Hey!)
Izuku pulled the second to last truck with gritted teeth against the large mound of garbage at the entrance and heavily panted before he eyed the final truck.
(The limit, the limit, the limit, the limit)
Their body was throbbing with agony, but he couldn't stop now.
This truck was the last one before all of his and Uzuki's work would be finished. Izuku gritted his teeth, grabbed the rope, and walked nearly a mile to the last truck. He secured it and began to pull it.
"We've got this, Midoriya!" Uzuki encouraged as Izuku felt his right knee tweak, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. "We've got this. Keep going!" Uzuki exclaimed.
Izuku punched his fist against the sand and rose to his feet, and continued the long trek to the mountain of steel and garbage. After what felt like an eternity, The final piece of the garbage tower was complete.

"We did it!" Uzuki screamed in excitement as Izuku let out a weak laugh before he fell backward onto the sand and closed his eyes, and began to laugh. He raised his fist into the air, and an ethereal version of Uzuki's arm appeared beside his.
"We did it," Izuku murmured as the sides of their fists bumped against the others before Izuku closed his eyes. "Do you mind switching for me? I don't have the energy to take us back…."
"Hopefully. Let's do it," Uzuki answered.
"Gemini: Switch…." Izuku murmured before he drifted off into the land of unconsciousness.
[Ashido Residence (Nighttime)
POV: Ashido Mina]
"I'm so bored," Ashido Mina groaned out as she hung upside down from her bed, her unruly fuzzy pink hair hanging from her head as she stared at her TV. Mina never dealt with boredom well. She believed that every day should be filled with excitement, and yet, here she was on a Saturday night, bored.
She could call some friends of hers to hang out, but they were all studying for some big test. Studying. Who needed to study? Certainly not the future top hero of Japan. But, everyone wasn't like her, so her friends had to study, leaving her friendless for the next two days.
"If you're so bored, why don't you go out for a jog?" Her mother stated, startling Mina enough to roll off her bed and onto her stomach.
Her mother, Ashido Suīto, was a tall, curvaceous woman with glasses and long, bushy pale pink hair that fell to her lower back. Her skin was the same hue of pink as Mina's, but she had pointed ears and a long slender pink tail, which was securely wrapped around her waist.
The woman also had black Sclera, like Mina's, but her irises were blue instead of Mina's yellow. The woman was currently in her Pro-Hero uniform, consisting of a black tube top and two gold bracelets on each wrist.
She also wore a gold choker around her neck, gold hoop earrings in each hair with golden Helix Earrings in each ear, black arm sleeves, black boots with golden trim, white baggy pants, and a golden belt.
"Jeez, Mama, can you not do that?!" Mina exclaimed before pouting at her mother's gentle laughter.
"I did not mean to scare you, sweetie," Suīto stated with an amused look as Mina stood up from the floor.
"You just get in?" Mina asked, glancing at her mother's uniform.
"Yeah," Suīto replied as she leaned against the doorframe with a wry grin. "It was a long day. It's been crazy lately with how many villains have come up. But nothing I can't handle."
"Good," Mina said. "Can't become better than you if you're gone, Mama."
"I know, kiddo," Suīto said as she unfurled her tail to ruffles Mina's hair, which caused Mina to swat at it playfully. "But I am serious about my suggestion. Go out for a jog, burn off some energy and keep yourself limber. Can't be a Pro-Hero being stiff as a board."
Mina nodded.
"Yeah, you're right. And who knows, maybe I'll find some adventure out there and have some fun," Mina said, trying to work herself up to working out.
It wasn't that Mina hated to work out; she loved it, in fact, but she had already done her post-school agility training that her mom set up for her in preparation for UA, and she was a little sore.
"Good. You mind takeout tonight?" Her mother asked as Mina pulled out her workout clothes, which consisted of a basic black tank top, sports bra, and baggy black sweatpants.
"Oh! Can we have Coffee and Curry from Café LeBlanc's?!" Mina asked with an excited tone.
"You just want to see that cute delivery boy," Her mother teased, which caused a magenta color to spread across Mina's face as she blushed.
"N-No! I-I just…." Mina grew quiet as Suīto laughed.
"That works for me. I'll have it here when you get back," Suīto responded before she walked out, leaving the embarrassed Mina behind.
After changing into her workout clothes, Mina walked to her apartment door and shouted, "I'll be back in two hours!"
"Enjoy your run and stay safe. I'll let the delivery boy know you said hello!" Her mother called out in return, which caused Mina to blush again before leaving her home.
Mina loved her mom but damned if she doesn't know how to press her buttons.
[Takoba Municipal Beach Park (Nighttime)
POV: Ashido Mina]
It had been one hour and twenty minutes since Mina began her run, and she was both exhausted and disappointed. She hadn't found any excitement during her jog, and she was just about to give up. As Minajogged down the trail that ran along the Takoba Municipal Beach, she noticed something peculiar.
Mina noticed that the beach was clean. There was a giant mountain of trash near the entrance, but the beach itself was spotless.
And thanks to the spotless nature of the beach, Mina saw that someone was down there.
Mina slowed down to a stop, walked to the railing, and leaned against it to try and get a better look at the person who was lying on the sand. She noticed that the person had ropes around them, and when she looked at where the ropes led, it was tied around a truck pressed against the tower of trash.
"What in the world?" Mina asked herself as she jumped over the railing and landed on a mound of sand where she then made her way to the figure.
As she got closer, Mina noticed a few things.
One: The person was shirtless.
Two: There was this strange white mist that floated from his body.
Three: The person was someone her age.
Four: They were somehow plain-looking yet handsome at the same time. Then again, Mina was a sucker for a boy with freckles.
Once Mina was standing beside the sleeping teen, she kneeled and began to poke his cheek repeatedly.
"Oi, you alive?" Mina questioned as she continued to poke his freckled cheek.
She watched as the teen opened one eye halfway, revealing his hunter-green eye, and mumbled, "Who are you?"
"Oh, goodie, you're alive," Mina said with a smile, only to frown when he closed his eye again. "And you're out like a light again."
Mina sighed before she took his arm and slung it over her shoulder, and began to stand up while she muttered, "Welp, looks like things got interesting after all."
[Ashido Residence (Evening)
POV: Mirā Ukuzi]
When Uzuki finally came to, he found himself staring at an unfamiliar wall.
'The hell?' Uzuki thought as he looked around.
"About time you woke u-up!" Izuku's worried voice exclaimed. "I was very worried."
'Sorry, Izu,' Uzuki thought back before he shut his eyes. The graffiti-like colors of the room's walls were giving him such a nasty headache. If he weren't so exhausted, he would have liked to study them more.
"W-We pushed ourselves to the limit today," Izuku said. "But we did it. We succeeded!"
'We did, but now have to be more careful,' Uzuki thought with a mental sigh. 'We pushed ourselves past our limits, but we're paying for it big time now. Maybe we should take a breather tomorrow.'
"But we still have to let All-Might know, and we have to start studying for the entrance exams!" Izuku argued.
'We do, but we only have one body, Izu,' Uzuki countered. 'But remember what Toshi-Might told us. One day off to rest our body is not going to kill us, you know?'
"Okay, Okay….O-One day of rest, then we continue," Izuku acquiesced
'With that squared away for now, where are we?' Uzuki asked.
"Well, after we switched, our body was fast asleep, and sometime later, some g-g-girl found us and took us here. This m-must be her home," Izuku explained.
'Girl, huh? I suddenly don't feel too good,' Uzuki nervously grumbled.
Suddenly, Uzuki heard the door open, and a feminine voice call out, "Hey! Are you awake yet?!"
Uzuki caught the whiff of a delicious scent and mumbled, "Is that food?"
The girl laughed at this, and Uzuki heard her walk closer to where he was.
"S-She's right next to us!" Izuku exclaimed.
Uzuki opened his eyes and found himself staring at the face of the prettiest girl he had ever seen in his life. "I save you from a sandy sleep, and the first thing you say is, "Is that food?" Hmph, it seems Mama is right," The girl said as she held up a plate of delicious-smelling curry, a friendly smile on her face.
"I guess a way to a boy's heart is through his stomach," The girl said as she let out a happy laugh.
Captain Blues: Whew. And that is that! So our resident Duo has now met Mina. Also, Many of you guys might have realized who Mina's mother is and if you can't guess. This is the MHA version of DBFZ's Android 21! Maybe an easter-egg or maybe a look into an important player? Only one way to find out!
