The gang gather materials like water and snacks to take with them but before they go they investigate the area where Shaggy heard the men.
"Do you see anything fred?" shaggy asks
"No i don't see anything around here"
"I guess that guy did pretty good at hiding whatever he was hiding then" shaggy says with a sigh
"Wait look!" daphne exclaims pointing at foot print on the ground "i guess it rained a little last night, the footprints are heading this way into the forest"
The gang follows the footprints as they lead them to a bush causing them to lose the footprints. They continue going in the direction of the last place they saw the footprint eventually reading them to a dirt pathway.
"Now this looks like something suspicious" Velma say curiously
Before they could continue down the path they hear screams coming from the camp, this scares shaggy and scooby
"What do you think that's all about" shaggy says shaking
"It must be another attack, daphne you come with me to see where this path end while shaggy, scooby and fred check it out" Velma says quickly
"Why do i have go where the danger is" shaggy whining
"Because" velma stated as if she was going to list a reason but does not and heads down the path quickly with daphne
Shaggy looks at fred
"Well we should hurry back," Fred says. Shaggy, Fred and Scooby rush back to the camp where they follow the screams of the campers out to the activity field. As they approach they see from a far a figure flies through the sky howling. Fred tries analyze where the monster is flying to see if he can see any trick
"Common shaggy we need to get closer"
"Are you crazy why would you wanna get closer, we see it perfectly from here" shaggy said laughing nervously
"Shaggy come on" Fred laughs
They run across the field catching its attention it chases after them
"Shaggy you go left i'll go right we just got to reach the forest past the field i have an idea"
Once they split up it pauses and begins to chase shaggy
"Why me" he whines
Meanwhile with velma and Daphne
"This path sure is long" Daphne say out of breath
"We have to hurry before whoever that is attacking he camp comes back" said velma
They fun down the path eventually leading to a door on the floor like a basement door
" looks like we found something finally" daphne said catching her breath
Velma catches her breath as well, she then pulls on the door
"Its locked" she sigs
"Well the key has to be around here" they both begin searching around the near by area
"Daphne look" velma calls to Daphne and shows a her a tree that seemed to have part of it carved out
"Well that's a lot better a hiding place than under a rock"
Velma pushes open the small opening and takes out a small key. Quickly unlocking the door the two rush down the staircase.
