Avitus sighed and shook his head while fluttering his wings slightly. He was hurt and still recovering, it amused him slightly that people still thought of him highly after being so wounded and brought low. He couldn't threaten a fly even if he wanted to.

"Avitus?" Avitus heard which caused him to turn and look at the woman with interest. "I've returned with something." Avitus heard from Lucy as his eyes fluttered open.

"That's nice… But it hurts." Avitus said as he nodded. "Ugh, I still feel like my wings are going to burn." Avitus said while he shook his head.

The pain was almost calming in a morbid sense. It forced him to think about something other then what others thought currently of him.

Lucy sat down at the edge of his bed, removing her boots so she didn't track mud on the bed. Avitus turned to blink and slowly brought himself up from where he sat.

"You found the thing I was carting around?" Avitus asked and hummed before rubbing at his temples with annoyance. "Sorry, I'm still recovering from whatever happened. Ugh, whoever hurt me really smashed my bell in." Avitus stated with a sigh.

Lucy nodded and looked at the book in her hand. She knew for a fact that whatever was in it was interesting. There was far too much knowledge within it. Whatever was currently held up in it? She hoped it jogged Avitus's memories.

"Can you answer more questions?" Lucy asked to which Avitus grunted. "I have some I need you to answer if we're going to get some things settled for good." Lucy said and put a hand on Avitus's shoulder.

He nodded and looked at the bandages covering his chest. The made him feel woozy, dulled like a sword that had its edge and bite taken out of it.

"I'll answer what I can, Lucy." Avitus said and sat up. "If I pass out? I apologize, my head feels like a bell fell on it… I'm sort of pushing myself to try and speak. This recovery isn't going to be speedy…. Even if the healer said it might be like it." Avitus said while shaking his head.

He growled in pain before looking at Lucy who opened her mouth to speak.

"Do you know what this book is?" Lucy asked to which Avitus nodded and hummed. "And why it was so important to keep it from whoever was chasing you?" Lucy also asked to which Avitus gave a sharp nod.

"Yeah… OW…" Avitus said before gripping the book and looking it over. "This journal has ancient information my people wanted. I don't know what they wanted, but they told me it was a way to stop a great evil." Avitus added while sighing.

Avitus watched Lucy's eyes narrowed and sighed, knowing for a fact that she trusted him… Barely. He didn't give much reason for her to at the moment. Avitus cleared his throat and flapped his wings.

"You know if you wanted me dead?" Avitus asked which caused Lucy to raise an eyebrow. "I would understand. If we were back home? My people would want you dead. They wouldn't trust you with anything, just like how your teammates don't seem to trust me even now." Avitus said and slowly closed his eyes.

Lucy frowned and decided to ask a few more questions. She was going to speak to her teammates and then figure out if Avitus could be let out of his room.

"Do you know if more of your people are coming?" Lucy asked and Avitus nodded. "Would they come if you don't report in anytime soon?" Lucy questioned and got another nod which caused her to stand up.

"I have to go and speak to my teammates, ok?" Lucy asked as Avitus turned to look at her. "Stay here and get some rest, your going to need it when I get back. I have some more questions." Lucy added to Avitus.

"Take the book with you, I trust it with someone who understands it." Avitus said to which Lucy raised an eyebrow at this.

Avitus watched Lucy turn and leave, caught off-guard which made him sad for some reason.

Then again? Avitus didn't understand why he was quite so bothered. Avitus started to lay down and close his eyes.

"Ow… So much pain, so much agony." Avitus muttered as his eyes started to flutter close once more. "And this doesn't feel like it's going to change anytime soon." Avitus added while trying to get his body to rest.

It took several minutes for him to try and pass out. He knew very well that Lucy was important to him, but he didn't know why he felt like that.

"Maybe I should think about something else at the moment." Avitus muttered out loud.
