Chapter 6
Seeking Vengeance

After several minutes of riding on the boat, the team on Marlow's boat finally arrived at the rendezvous point where they were supposed to meet Packard's group. It so happened that the latter arrived at the same time as well. The boat docked, and those on board immediately got down and rushed towards each other in joy. The students were especially the happiest to meet each other again.

"You guys are all right! I knew you all would have the guts to survive!" Eijiro happily.

"I gladdens me to see that you are all right as well!" said Tenya.

"It's gonna take more than a crazy island to take me down!" boasted Katsuki.

Momo said to Aizawa, "Mister Aizawa, sorry for making you worry..."

"Good to see that everyone of you is fine," said the teacher. "As the teacher, it's going to be a huge responsibility for me if you kids are to get into serious danger. Anyway, you all done well to survive up to now."

"But there are still ten of us yet to be found..." said Hanta.

"That worries me too..." said Aizawa. "We're unable to get in contact with them at the moment."

Overhearing their conversation, Packard said to Aizawa, "Don't worry; one of my men, Chapman, has five more of your students with him, and we are on our way to find them."

"Really? That's good to know," said Aizawa with a slight nod.

Packard then turned to Marlow, who saluted and told him the army division he came from. "So you've been here for 29 years already?!" said Packard in disbelief.

"Yes, army training taught me well how to survive!" said Marlow, almost sounding as if he was boasting.

"And you've put your skills to use well! Your family will be glad to hear from you again!" Packard told him while patting him on the shoulder.

Suddenly, they heard someone calling out to them. Turning their head, they saw another group of people coming towards them. It was Team N, San, and Houston.

"Mister Aizawa! Everyone!" Tohru happily said while waving her arm, which couldn't be seen by anyone.

"Izuku!" Ochako exclaimed with joy when she saw said student.

"Boy! Are we glad to see you!" said Houston happily. "I was beginning to worry that we'll never be able to find anyone else and be stuck here!"

After the excitement of meeting each other had died down, the folks from the organization known as Monarch explained to those still in the dark regarding who they are and the existence of monsters known as Titans, not to mention the real reason behind visiting this island. Needless to say, they were in awe and found it hard to believe. Except on person...

"After all I've seen on this island, I have no reason to not believe," said Marlow.

"How is this possible? If giant beasts like these exist all over the world, how is it possible that no one has ever found out about them except Monarch?" said Weaver in disbelief. "With the advancement of technology and even powerful Quirks, there shouldn't be anything in this world that is left undiscovered!"

"To think that we live in a world that in fact belongs to such majestic and terrifying beasts! I do not know whether to feel frightened or be honored!" commented Fumikage.

"Incredible...!" said Izuku. "These Titans... If they came first, then is it possible that the emergence of Quirks is related to them in some way?"

Aizawa, on the other hand, was annoyed about something else. "And you thought this is a good idea to bring us students into this?!"

Momo told him, "The military that was hired to come was unaware of the true nature of this, and our school happens to have a contract with them regarding internships..."

"It's still infuriating..." said Aizawa.

"All right, know that we know the full story, let's get on track to the west side of the island," said Packard.

"West?! No! That's where most of the Skullcrawlers are!" protested Marlow. "We should be going east! Isn't that the place where helicopters would come pick you up?"

"We're not leaving without Chapman! And the remaining five students are with him!" said Packard.

When translation was done for the students, Aizawa said, "Indeed, we will not leave unless we found all the other students. Nobody is leaving anybody behind!"

Since it was decided by the majority that they should find Chapman and the remaining five students first, the group headed west. After a while of walking, they arrived at a large spacious field filled with, to their surprises, bones.

Some of the skulls were reptilian in appearance, while some resembled that of primates.

"Whoa... It's an animal graveyard...!" said Hanta.

"Look at the size of those things!" said Minoru. "They're not animals! This is a monster graveyard!"

"This is the graveyard of Kong's species," explained Marlow. "Like I said before, the Skullcrawlers are responsible for the death of his kind."

"That's horrible...!" commented Ochako in shock.

"Are these Skullcrawlers really that powerful...?" wondered Izuku.

The group wandered into the graveyard with great caution. As Marlow said Skullcrawlers mainly hang out on this side of the island, it was possible that they would run into them all of a sudden.

Some of those up front noticed something up ahead. A Skullcrawler was passing by. Everyone hurriedly hid behind the rocks and large bones that were lying around, hoping to avoid getting seen by the creature.

Peeking out from behind her hiding place, Momo asked, "Is that... a Skullcrawler...?"

"They look even scarier compared to the drawings...!" said Masahirao.

"There's only one, so it shouldn't be too hard to get rid of it!" suggested Katsuki, who seemed ready to take action, but the others held him back.

"Don't get into unnecessary fights," Shouto told him. "There could be more in the surrounding area, and we do not want to grab their attention by starting fights!"

They kept their eyes on the Skullcrawler until it was out of sight, and after making sure that the coast was clear, they stepped out from their hiding places and continued making their way through the place, hoping to leave the graveyard soon.

However, it didn't take too long before another Skullcrawler emerged out of seemingly nowhere from behind without a warning. By the time everyone realized it, Randa was caught by said monster and devoured by him. He never even got the chance to scream.

The sight of someone getting eaten shocked the students. The soldiers screamed and immediately fired from their guns at the Skullcrawler, who roared in anger before lunging forward, causing everyone to scatter. The monster was able to resist getting pelted with bullets, and moving at a fast speed, it caught up with some of the soldiers and sent them flying with a swing of its arms.

Katsuki leaped at it suddenly with his arms pointing at its head. "Die, sucker!" Slamming his palms into the Skullcrawler's eyes, he created explosions that propelled the Skullcrawler into a conveniently placed rib bone and get its head impaled by it. Landing from his jump, Katsuki said loudly, "Haha! I got one!"

The others were surprised that he was actually able to kill a Skullcrawler. "Whoa, he actually did it..." said Minoru.

Suddenly, they heard several roars and cries, and looking around, they saw several more Skullcrawlers appearing at the place. "It's not over yet!" shouted Conrad.

Soon, the place erupted into chaos, as everyone fought for his or her lives against the approaching monsters. Some fared well, but some weren't so fortunate.

Shouto generated ice at an approaching Skullcrawler, freezing its feet and some parts of the body to the ground. As the monster tried to break free, Shouto released a massive flamethrower from his hands at it, burning it as it screamed in agony.

Aizawa jumped out of the way of a Skullcrawler's tongue lash. He then swung his scarf at the monster, tying it up by the mouth. While the monster was trying to break free, Izuku came crashing down on its head with a dive kick, pushing it against the ground so hard that it passed out.

Ochako made sure to touch as many rocks and bones as possible as she ran around the place. A Skullcrawler eventually noticed her and so closed in for the kill. Activating her Quirk, she made all the things she touched so far float into the air and then came crashing down onto the Skullcrawler, crushing it.

Marlow, armed with the katana blade that once belonged to his friend, charged at a Skullcrawler. After ducking underneath its arm swing, he sliced its skin and left behind a large and deep gash. The monster attacked with is tongue afterwards, but he dodged it and then cut it off. While the Skullcrawler was in pain, Conrad came forward with a rocket launcher that he picked up from a dead soldier and aimed for the open mouth, blowing up the monster's head.

"Nice skills there!" Conrad told Marlow.

"He taught me well!" said Marlow, referring to his Japanese friend.

Suddenly, a flock of "ugly ass birds" appeared at the scene, much to everyone's surprise. But rather than attacking the people, the birds attacked the Skullcrawler's instead, tearing against their flesh with their sharp beaks and talons. Despite the size difference, the Skullcrawlers were still overwhelmed by the sheer amount of them.

"Did you do this?!" asked Tenya as he turned to Koji, who gave a thumbs up and a nod in response.

Fumikage had Dark Shadow out, and it slashed its claws at a Skullcrawler over and over, not giving it the chance to fight back. The monster backed away and roared angrily, and it was going for another attempt when suddenly a beam struck it in the side of the head and knocked it out. Fumikage turned to the source and was surprised to see Yuga, Tsuyu, Rikido, Denki, and Mezo running into the scene. "You are all right!" said Fumikage in surprise and happiness.

The other students and Aizawa noticed this as well. "They're all right!" said Momo happily.

"Sorry to keep you guys worried!" Denki called out to them.

Knowing that this wasn't the time for celebration at the moment, everyone focused on fighting the remaining Skullcrawlers.

After a few more minutes of combat, the monsters were all killed. The birds that Koji summoned then flew away, and he thanked them for their support.

After that, the students all got together and talked with each other happily about how they were able to be reunited at last.

Packard approached them and said, "You kids did well! Your school truly taught you well how to fight like heroes!"

"We're that good, especially me!" boasted Katsuki.

Packard looked at the recent five students and asked them, "Where's Chapman? Wasn't he supposed to be with you?"

They had a sad look on their faces all of a sudden. Tsuyu then bluntly said while holding up a name tag, "He died... One of those monsters ate him... This is all that's left of him..."

Packard and the soldiers were shocked to hear this. Packard took the name tag from Tsuyu and looked at it for several seconds with a sad look on his face, and then tightening his fist around it, he said in a voice that sounded like anger, "We're still going to the west regardless!"

Conrad protested, however. "Chapman is dead, and the students are all found! What point is there in going to the west anymore?"

"The chopper he was in contains a large amount of napalm and explosives, enough to blow that Kong monster out of the sky!" replied Packard loudly.

"You want to kill Kong?! You can't do that!" Marlow told him.

"And Kong didn't kill Chapman!" Weaver told him.

"But he did kill them!" said Packard, holding up several more name tags. They all belonged to soldiers who were killed when Kong made his first appearance and attacked them. "I'm going to avenge my men by killing that son of a bitch!"

The students heard this and were shocked. "But if he kills Kong, then the natives on this island won't have protection!" said Tenya.

Aizawa approached Packard and said, "I understand you're angry about what happened, but letting vengeance take over your mind is not the right choice of action to take at the moment. Attempting to kill Kong will more than likely end up bad for you and also all of us."

"Right! The Skullcrawlers will take over this island if you do that!" Marlow told Packard.

"I don't care! I will not leave this place until I get rid of that monster!" said Packard angrily. "If you're not with me, then don't get in my way! Don't make me put you all down for insubordination!"

"Don't you dare threaten the students!" Aizawa warned him in a threatening tone.

Not wanting the situation to escalate, Conrad stepped in and said, "All right, everyone calm down... If Packard wants to go to the west, then let him do so, while the rest of us go to the east and wait for the supply choppers."

As everyone didn't want things to become too complicated, it was agreed that this was the best choice of action for now. The group became split. Packard and the remaining soldiers all continued heading west, while the students and the researchers decided to head back where they came from.

"Is it really all right for them to kill Kong...?" asked Masahirao. "I mean... We did have a bad run-in with him, but he's a hero to the natives of this place... It's not right to murder a hero..."

"I feel the same as you, even though it's true that Kong did kill some of the soldiers..." said Izuku.

"Just let it be," Aizawa told them when he overheard them. "Our class shouldn't get involved with this any further. This whole internship is already ruined and shouldn't even have happened in the first place! As your homeroom teacher, I have the responsibility to make sure you all make it back home alive, so you better start following my orders!"
