There are many things that humans fear. But the thing we fear most is not something we can grasp within our hands, but something we crave. We all need someone or something to turn to. If we are left alone for too long, we break. If you think about it, it makes sense

For humans are not gods.

-inside of Kaitana's subconscious?-

The girl continues to drag Kaitana along. "Hey! Where the hell are we going?"

"Ugh! Where the hell do ya think wer' going dumbass! To see the future!" little Kaitana says

The captain shrugs. "If you say so... Ya know, you have a dirty mouth for a chi-"

She grabs Kaitana once again. "Ugh! Do you ever stop bitchin'? come on!"

"Oh, and just call me Kai." The little one says with a smile.

After a few more minutes of walking, they finally reached the so-called future. They approach a door, shrouded in white light. Kai slowly opens the door as she motions for Kaitana to enter. The captain walks through the door as her legs begin to shake. It is easy to tell that she is nervous. Through that door is what we all fear, an indefinite future. Something we are glad we do not know. Most of us would crumble under the pressure of knowledge. Yet in this scenario... the future is something that we must acknowledge to protect those we love.

But through this door is a tragic story. A story of loss. A story of pain. A story of loneliness. This future is a horrible one. One of certain doom. A scarring experience for the captain indeed.

*FLASH*

Back in the present Kaitana snaps back into reality. Sweating and breathing heavily.

Messiah rushes to the captain. "Woah! Easy there captain... You alright?"

She struggles to catch her breath. "Yeah... I- I think so."

"Damnit! The hell did you do to captain!" Hildreck yells at the beast.

"I only showed her the future. What she goes thro-"

"STOP IT RIGHT THERE! BACK AWAY FROM THAT BEAST!" A voice yells.

Thousands of footsteps can be heard coming from the west. It is an army of at least ten thousand soldiers. Armed with anti-personnel weapons.

"I SAID BACK AWAY! RETURN TO PORT CARTER AT ONCE!" The head man says.

The group of four whisper to each other.

Quinn raises a hand to his mouth. "Who are they? Some kind of God protection group?"

"They're from Fenrir HQ... Look at the logo on their garbs. Something is not right here..." Kaitana answers.

Hildreck scratches his head in confusion. "And what the hell do they want with him? And why can't we interact with this thing...?"

Nana motions behind them. "let's just book it. I am NOT dying in a fucking wasteland."

They all nod in unison as they retreat to camp to collect their belongings and head home.

-back at Port Carter-

The exhausted Rose Unit finally arrive at the main terminal where Cpt Carter is.

"It seems you all made it back in one piece..." Carter says while stroking his beard.

"We have father. And we have a lot of information to relay."

Nana and Hildreck both pick up Kaitana. "Shes exhausted. We will carry her to her dorm." Nana says.

The captain gives a nod as they carry her away. Which leaves Quinn alone with his father.

"Hurry it up... I do not time to waste."

"We encountered the abnormal Aragami around 72 hours (about 3 days) ago. The Aragami had the ability to speak. But what is even stranger is that it called itself God... It had the ability to grant wishes in exchange for general knowledge." -He pulls out a vile containing its oracle cells- "To help discover its origin I ask for this vile to be analyzed."

Carter takes the vile and gives it to the head scientist Liz. But before he does that, he suspiciously whispers something into her ear as she takes it.

"This... Is a lot to grasp. But very well. The vile should be done analyzing in about 18 hours. I will call for a briefing here tomorrow... make sure everyone is here." The captain demands.

His son nods as he retreats to his room. Thinking to himself all the way there. Stressing over every little detail. On the way, he catches a glance of Hildreck, who is staring at the infirmary through a glass window.

Quinn puts a hand on his shoulder. "You alright my friend?"

Hildreck looks at Quinn with a sadder than usual expression. "No... I'm not ok. You see that girl over there?" -he points towards a girl lying comatose on a bed- "That's... That's my sister man... I'm the one that put her in that bed... I came here because... because I felt like I finally had the courage to face her. But every time I look at her, it reminds me of all my past sins. I wish I had just forgot about her. She... She brings me nothing but pain. I-"

*SLAP*

Quinn's expression turns into one of complete anger. "You... YOU SHUT THE HELL UP! HEARING YOU TALK LIKE THAT PISSES THE HELL OFF! Listen to me Hildreck! I don't know what you've been through... But you need to... YOU NEED TO GATHER THE COURAGE TO FACE HER! YOU'LL REGRET IT WHEN SHE IS DEAD AND ALONE WITHOUT HER DAMN BROTHER!"

Blood drips from his clenched fist as tears trickle down his face. "I hate myself till this damn day... TILL THIS DAY! I WAITED TILL MY MOTHER WAS GONE...!" *sob* "TO APOLOGIZE!"

He wipes tears from his face.

His voice trembles. "So don't you dare... DON'T YOU DARE SAY YOU DON'T HAVE THE COURAGE TO FACE HER!"

He trips over his own feet as he sloppily pushes Hildreck towards the door. "Apologize damnit... Face her before it's too late! Don't..." *sniff* "Don't be like me Hildreck... Please..."

After hearing Quinn's words, he rushes into the infirmary to confront his sister.
