The dorm that Ava was put in for the night was her brother's. She went through his drawer's and grabbed a pair of boxers and a SAMCRO Tshirt. As drunk as she was she was sober enough to realize who's dorm she was in, and also change into something for bed.
She had an extra outfit in her bag, but no pajamas. She thought about her mom as she laid down. She started crying. It seemed like her entire family was falling apart. As much as her mother talked about her older brother she could tell how much she loved him. Also that night she found out how her mom's brother felt about her.
Feeling the sleepiness take a hold of her she curled up into Jax's king sized bed in his dorm, and fell right asleep.
Meanwhile Jaun Carlos Ortiz was cleaning up since the prospect was passed out. He had feelings for Piney's niece. The way she spoke about her family with Piney, along with how beautiful she was to her. Juice just wanted to convince her to give him a shot.
Problem was he didn't think that he had a chance. She had a career, she was MC Royalty like Jax since John Teller is her father, and the other Co Founder Piney Winston is her uncle since he's her mom's older brother. Juice had no shot at all.
Taking another shot because he was feeling blue he climbed on the pool table and passed out.
Ava woke about noon the next day. She felt hungover, but rested. The headache wasn't all that bad. Getting up from the comfortable bed in the dorm she remembered the night before. Talking with her Uncle about her mom, his sister, and just sharing memories about the woman that meant the world to him.
Kozik getting a bit handsy, but he never crossed a line. Ava noticed that Tig had some problem with the guy, but she had no idea what that was about. Getting on her phone she decided to see if there was any real estate. She wanted to get her own place. As much as she loved her cousin and his wife and kids, she needed her own space.
Scrolling through she came across this two story cabin that just came available. It was on the outskirts of Charming just off the highway. In the back of her mind she was thinking that would be perfect if she got with a Son. Easy access to the highway for runs. The cabin was also near the clubhouse and fifteen minutes from Saint Thomas.
Seeing the price she immediately made an appointment to see it for that day. She only had a couple days off of work and she figured that if she was going to get it done and get her own place she should sooner than later.
Going into the ensuite bathroom she took a quick shower and got dressed. Walking out of the dorm she ran into her uncle. "Hey Uncle Piney." she said.
"You okay kid?" Piney asked hugging his niece.
"Yea slightly hungover. Though I was scrolling through my phone and I found a place in my price range. It's a cabin close to the highway, the clubhouse, and not all that far from work. It's also in my price range and I have an appointment to take a look and get the story as to why it just came available." said Ava.
"That place sounds familiar. How about I come with you." said Piney.
"Okay thanks. So what do you have going on?" asked Ava.
"Nothing except be on Kozik and Juice duty. He nearly got shanked in county, but luckily your brother stopped it and knocked the fucker to the ground." said Piney. "Oh there is a dinner at Gemma's. Since you are Jax's sister you are expected to be there. Sorry. I won't be going. And all the others are on club business. So looks like Juicy and Herman, and I are free to help you out today." said Piney.
"I don't have much, and well this is just a look and see. I haven't said I was gonna make an offer yet." said Ava.
"Listen I know I have a cabin in the woods and this one is just on the outskirts of Charming, but I want to make sure no one takes advantage of you. Also as much as Herman is a handsy fucker he does care. Juice too. He hides it, but I see shit. Please just let us come." said Piney.
"Alright. I love you Uncle Piney, but you can be so fucking stubborn!" said Ava.
"That's me. With your parents dead, and my brother in law aka your stepdad not giving a shit I'm the only one left." said Piney still pissed off at whatever was in the past that brought her mother to her father.
Immediately Kozik and Juice were right there and they said that if Clay called they would have to leave, but until then they were there to help. Ava just smiled at the two as she got on the back of her Uncle's Trike. She knew that she would come back and get her Armada if she was going to move in that day. She didn't know yet.
She couldn't help but notice Kozik and Juice felt a little sad at the fact she chose to ride with her Uncle. Well she wasn't looking for anything at the moment. Besides she was steal grieving her mom's death, and the fact that her mom's other two kids completely cut her off.
Ava just wanted to start anew in Charming. Oh on one more thing she didn't really know them, but she trusted her uncle. Well for some reason Happy also. He got her when it came to fucked up family situations, and it seemed like nothing between them was forced.
He wasn't acting like some teenager who had a crush, but was scared to say so like Juice or very hands on and physical like Herman. Though Happy Lowman was a mystery. Ava Teller was very curious about him.
While Ava was about to look at a place Jax, Opie, Bobby, and Tig had gone to meet with the Chinese. It turns out that the masterbater that had stolen from Henry had paid off his debt and was no longer useful to him. Tig felt sorry for the guy and took him off of his hands.
After that Tig got called away with Clay, Happy, and Halfsack. There guns were taken and they were trying to take them back from the Aryans, but the Mayans crashed the party. Clay was pissed. Even though Kozik and Juice showed up they had no luck since Jax, Opie, Chucky, and Bobby had the van, and all they had were their Dynas and the tow truck.
Ava felt like she belonged there when she showed up at the cabin with her uncle. It was a quaint little place that just gave off this aura of home.
"Uncle Piney this just is screaming my place, and I haven't even seen the inside yet. I love how it's just right off the highway, and close to work, and the clubhouse." said Ava.
"And it's close to my place. See that path there if you follow it two miles it takes you to my cabin." said Piney pointing to a bath. He was about to say something else with Jacob Hale pulled in.
"So you are the one wanting to buy this place?" He asked looking right at Ava's Uncle.
"No I'm looking to buy this place." said Ava.
"Sorry ma'am I guess I was just worried that this place would fall into the hands of biker trash. Though you are a great nurse at Saint Thomas and from what I've heard a great person." said Jacob.
"Well Mr. Hale I'll tell you why I'm such a great person. I don't judge. I treat people the way they treat me. To get respect you have to give respect, and don't be a fucking sheep that listens to what everyone else has the fucking say. Anyway I'm the one buying because I cannot stay with my cousin forever since he has a wife an a family." said Ava. "Oh and this is my mom's brother helping me find a place." she added.
"Right come on in." said Jacob. He knew that he nearly lost a sale and that meant money. He hoped that despite him being an asshole Jacob could sell to this young woman. It was a great buy, and a great place. He had to rememeber that business was business even though he hated the Sons of Anarchy, and as long as it was lega so be it.
Piney was quiet. He knew that Ava could hold her own with Hale. Hell she was his sister's daughter along with John's daughter so he knew that she could take care of herself. He was just there for moral support after Juice and Kozik got called away. Besides he wanted to see the place also.
When the three walked in Ava had no idea what to expect, but definitely not what she walked into. She walked into an open cabin. One one side she saw the guest bathroom, living room, and kitchen that was all together. In the corner was a spiral staircase heading upstairs.
On the other side wsa a decent sized indoor pool with a slide. Ava had no idea how it even fit, but it worked. She saw the diving board so she knew it was deep, and then there was that slide. Ellie and Kenny would love hanging out at her place, and when her nephew was a bit older he would love it also. She would be the cool aunt/cousin.
"Wow this is just great! I love it so far. Love the kitchen and the living room along with the downstairs bathroom. I'm going to check upstairs." said Ava going up the spiral staircase that was in the corner. She checked the guest room and the bathroom first and then the master bed and bathroom. She loved both. It was a two bedroom and two and a half bath, and she fell in love with the place.
Walking downstairs she said to Hale. "I'll take it. The asking price or lower, but not higher." she added.
"I'll drop three thousand. Shit listen I owe you." said Jacob.
"For what? You don't owe me anything." said Ava.
"Yes I do. You are the only one who gave a shit about my baby brother and his wife and daughter. You did everything you could and no one else did shit." said Jacob.
"I did my job and that's it. I love being a nurse and I love helping people." said Ava.
"You and my brother are a rare breed. You chose yoru careers to help people. You remind me of mom. I'm just a money hungry asshole." said Jacob.
"At least you are being honest about it. Looks like you are hanging with the League." said Piney.
"Enough! I accept the offer. This cabin calls to me." said Ava.
"Sounds good. Lets get the paperwork started. " said Jacob Hale.
Once again Piney kept his mouth shut cause he knew his niece could handle her own. Once all the paperwork was done Piney said.
"You might want to head back to Opie and Donna's to get ready for the dinner tonight. I'm gonna cancel it. I have a date with Patron, and I need some time to myself to watch a couple war movies. Full Metal Jacket, and Saving Private Ryan. Besides I don't want to be around Clay outside the club. Long story." said Piney.
"I'm not sure if I want to go to the dinner either. I would rather just move all my stuff in here, and then have a Netflix marathon. I'm thinking the Bring it On cheerleader series." said Ava.
"Nice try. Opie and Donna have to be there and since you are Opie's cousin and my niece along with Jax's sister, well Gemma will flip out if you don't come. Just go back to Opie and Donna's and make a dish and make the best of it. Welcome to the family." said Piney.
"How come you don't have to go?" Ava asked.
"I'm an old surly bastard." said Piney. "Come on I'll give you a ride back to the clubhouse where you can get your car." he said.
A little bit later Ava was in her car and driving back to Opie and Donna's. She was happy with her new cabin, and was looking forward to spending more time with Donna. She loved her like a sister instead of her cousin's wife. The kids were considered her niece and nephew.
Walking in she saw Donna trying to make a dish for the dinner while yelling at the kids not to get dirty. "Hey you need some help?" Ava asked.
"I'm so glad you are here. Could you make a fruit salad. I have a dish that's in the oven, but the damn kids are driving me nuts." siad Donna.
"Okay sure no problem. Oh sorry I stayed the clubhouse last night. I was talking to Piney all night about mom, and had a bit too much to drink to be able to drive home so I crashed there in the dorm next to Uncle Piney's." said Ava.
"I'm not much of a drinker and to be honest if I decide to over indulge I'd rather do it here or at the clubhouse. Though now I'm enjoying my wine." said Donna.
"Looks like I'm driving us to Gemma's." said Ava.
"Sorry. Cut loose when we get back. Or Opie can give you a ride to the club house." said Donna.
"Can I ask you something? If someone wants a real relationship are they more physical or less physical. I had one who was hardly physical just outside of this house and we talked and got deep, shared a joint, and just hugged one another. Then I met another guy at the clubhouse and he was a little touchy. Piney threatened him." said Ava.
"Okay guys who want the long haul are looking for more than just a quick lay and since men are so fucking complicated its so hard to tell. Opie and I were dating for a week and I lost my virginity to him, and we are still together now. Though my advice is the deeper the conversations the deeper the person cares, and you can build on that. Though some Sons use that to get to women, and just use them for a couple of fucks." said Donna.
"I should wait till I'm married, and in the meantime have a vibrater." said Ava.
"Good plan. Now lets get these dishes ready for Potlatch." said Donna.
